From the first moment Hadleigh stepped foot back inside the castle after the holiday break she had only one thing in mind. To speak with Frankie. It had been on her mind most of the holiday as she has spent it mainly with family and very close friends. Something wasn't right though and after spending time on her own going over the list she had worked on with Zeke months earlier she was sure what it was.

Which is what had her making the very long walk all the way up to the seventh floor rather then down to her own common room. There was just two small problems once she got there. She had no idea where Frankie was at this moment or if he'd even want to speak with her after what happened last time. Sending an owl would've been easier maybe but the blonde could've easily ignored it. Hopefully with her sitting here he would at least listen.

Slipping down against the wall directly across from the portrait of the Fat Lady she waited. Knees pulled up to her chest, long brunette hair tumbling down over her shoulders, hazel eyes swirling with a million different emotions. There was nothing else to do but wait now.

The Gryffindor prefect wasn't too thrilled about being back inside the walls of Hogwarts. His holiday had been great, and it was an absolute shame that it had ended so quickly. Once he was back on the castle grounds, he went straight to his dorm to take a cat nap before having to get up for patrols. The cat nap, though, ended up taking longer than he had anticipated. Oops!

After hastily jumping out of bed and throwing on his robes, Frankie ran down the stairs and through the toasty common room without saying a word to those who made eye contact with him. At most he gave them a quick head nod before strutting right past, pushing his way through the Fat Lady's portrait. Fortunately his patrol area wasn't very far from the common room.

He was pinning his badge onto his robes as he stepped onto the seventh floor corridor and the portrait closed behind him. The blond didn't notice anyone sitting in the corridor while he fiddled with the badge and robes. Why was this thing not cooperating today?

This was taking forever. He was taking forever. This sitting and waiting business was terrible and not recommended at all. Maybe she should've brought something to help her pass the time. Oops. That was her own fault for being so quick with wanting to get to the seventh floor.

Finally after what had felt like hours and maybe was, who even knew anymore the portrait of the Fat Lady swung open. Hady's hazel eyes took in the blonde hair first and that's all she needed to see. Jumping to her feet she crossed the corridor to stand in front of him, her hands fidgeting with the hem of her shirt in nervousness. "Hey... u-umm... can we talk for a second please?," She asked quietly slowly lifting her head to look at him. She had both asked nicely and said please. He couldn't deny her a few minutes...could he?

With a tug here and a tug there, the blond was finally able to get his badge on. He sighed with relief while making a mental note to either make sure he woke up from his napping early enough or that he had the badge pre-pinned to his robes in the event he woke up late again (which was more likely to happen). Lesson learned.

Suddenly a voice sounded and Frankie's initial reaction was to turn around and face the Fat Lady or look for one of the younger Gryffindors at the entrance to the common room. Who else would be wanting to speak to him in the middle of the corridor? A slightly confused look was on his face when he saw no one but the Fat Lady, who was being surprisingly quiet for once. Blue eyes watched as she pointed behind him. What was she pointing for...?

Oh.

The blond, after turning around, blinked at the sight before him. Hadleigh Lynch was there ... outside his common room ... waiting for him. Frankie wasn't sure how he felt about her being there. It was rather weird, taking everything into consideration. Her nervousness, for he had noticed that, wasn't making anything any uneasy. "Err ... hi," was all he could muster. When she asked if they could talk, Frankie glanced down the corridor and let out a quiet sigh, "Sure."

All the time she had spent waiting here for him and he didn't even appear happy to see her. That was a bit of a blow right there but given their previous encounters was expected. She hadn't been all that nice to him the last time even if she had instantly regretted the things she had said she had never apologized for it.

His silence at first was met with confusion. Why was he looking the other way. Surely he remembered her voice. And the the blonde was looking at her as he agreed to talk to her. So far so good. All she had to do now was explain herself. Only that wasn't happening. He didn't need an explanation on her stupidity or stubbornness. "Thanks..." For agreeing to talk that is.

"Frankie... I'm sorry. First for just waiting her for you unexpectedly but I didn't know if you'd show if I owled you first..." She wouldn't have blamed him if he didn't. It would've served her right honestly and she knew that now. "Secondly for well...for everything else. I wasn't spending the time with you that I should've been...that I could've been if I wasn't taking so many lessons..." her words may have came out in a rush as she tried to say what she was thinking. All the while she kept her eyes on his face looking for any sign that said he was at least listening.

In all honesty, he felt a little foolish not immediately recognizing Hady's voice. He just didn't expect her to be waiting outside of his common room and thought that the quiet voice had to belong to one of the Gryffindors. That scenario made sense to him. Hady waiting here, however, did not. What was this all about?

He looked at Hady without any sort of an expression on his face. Frankie wanted to react a thousand different ways, but he knew that he had to distance himself after the break-up, months of barely saying a thing to each other, everything. She began by apologizing for waiting there in the corridor for him and not owling ahead of time. The prefect blinked. Okay... where was this going?

Then it all came out too quickly and in a rather un-Hady-like fashion. She was rambling, and he wasn't quite following her. He knew that this was an apology, but he didn't understand a few things. Why was she apologizing after all this time? What was the point in doing so now? The blond thought of asking these questions, but he simply nodded his head and stood there, silent, wondering if she had anything more to say.

Hady had gotten out what she had meant to say bit it all came out wrong. The words were there but it was in a rambled fashion that wasn't at all her style. None of this was her style. Apologies. Rambling. Giving up things to make time for someone. Feeling. Lots of them.

The silence that came with her apology wasn't expected. Didn't he understand what she was saying? The blondes head was nodding in time to her words like he was listening but was he really? Maybe she should try this again. Slower. More detail. Just so she didn't cry or start yelling. Neither would be good.

A confession might be better. Maybe that's would help here. "I know now that I made things worse by not just saying I was sorry sooner. And I know I was wrong for snapping at you and saying everything I did...," Hady started again this time slower. Even if he didn't care and he choose to walk away at least she had the moment to tell him the truth. "I was stubborn. You were right, I was overdoing everything and- well..." Pausing to take in a large breath had to be done. Hazel eyes moved from his face to the floor as she focused on not breaking down. Just get to the point Hady.

"I miss you. A lot. These last few months were horrible and the holiday was pure torture..." And she was forced to look away again, chewing on her lip to keep calm.

During the silence that lingered between them, Frankie couldn't help but rub his fingers against the hem of his robes. This situation started off awkward and that sense was lingering as minutes went by quickly. He wasn't sure if the source of that was in Hady's nervousness or within himself not knowing what to say. Maybe it was both of those options.

Blue eyes locked with her hazel ones when she began speaking again. This time things weren't as rambled, making it easier for the blond to follow. She was apologizing for everything ... and taking the blame. Frankie's heart sank a little, knowing that it wasn't all her fault. He opened his mouth to say that, even while he was right, he had been extremely selfish. Though no words left and his mouth closed. Hady looked like she had more to say.

I miss you. A lot.

Those words echoed in his mind, getting louder and louder. A warm feeling ran through his entire body as he watched her look away and, as he expected, starting chewing on her lip. Silently, the tall blond took a few steps toward her and slowly placed his arms around her. "I miss you too," he quietly voiced, gently pulling her closer.

Once Hady had began speaking the words slowly tumbled from her mouth in an out pore of deep sorrow. It didn't matter who had been at fault or even about what. All that mattered was saying what she needed to. Luckily for her she had done just that.

With nothing more to say the brunette replayed her apology in her mind over and over. It sounds okay but she had no idea what was running through Frankie's mind. She was waiting for him to say something. Anything. Fear began to take over and she was nearly about to turn around and walk away when she felt a pair of arms slid around her. His arms.

Instantly Hady slipped her arms around his waist, stepping closer as well. The hug was enough but the words that accompanied it caused the girl to sniffle softly as she turned her face into the shoulder of his robes. She wasn't going to cry. Not crying. Nope. She wasn't. Maybe.

As they stood there in the corridor, her words replayed over and over in his mind. Why those words had taken so long to be said, he didn't know. The last few months would have been very different then. Nonetheless, the blond was happy. Right now there was light in the darkness.

The fact that neither of them were running away and that they both were holding onto each other was a good sign. Things wouldn't likely instantaneously go back to the way they were, but at least it meant they both could go to classes without there being a white elephant in the room, they could look at each other and smile instead of avoid eye contact, they could put the last few months behind them and never look back.

When he heard her sniffle, Frankie gave Hady a light squeeze. Was she crying? The prefect didn't say a word. He simply stood there holding her, patting her hair. After a few moments of silence, he whispered, "So, uhh, I don't really want to break this up, but I'm late starting my rounds. ... You can join me for a bit, if you want. Or we can talk later, yeah?"

This was how it was supposed to be. The two of them together, no fighting, no running away and certainly not hiding from knew another. Now Hady didn't expect for things to go right back to how it had been but this was a huge leap forward and she'd gladly never mentioned the pervious three months if he didn't.

The gentle squeeze she received from the Gryffindor alerted her to the fact that he had heard the sniffle. Being as he wasn't commenting on it neither was she. Standing her hugging him was perfectly fine with her but then the blonde was speaking and she found herself slowly letting him go to step back and look at him."I'll come with you. I have a lot more free time now." This was said with a small smile as she moved to stand beside him so he could lead the way.

Nope. He wasn't going to say anything about her sniffling. In fact, he wasn't going to say anything about the last three months. There was no point in bringing it up when they both knew what occurred. Now it was time to move on and see what the future had in store.

For a split second, Frankie was about to pull Hady closer to him when she started to slowly let go of him. But he too slowly let go of her. He had patrol responsibilities to attend to, and they couldn't stand in the middle of the corridor hugging each other all day. When the brunette mentioned that she was coming with him, a small smile appeared on his lips. It also might have grew slightly bigger at the revelation that she had more free time now.

"Alright. And if anyone asks why you're with me, I will tell them that I caught you trying to vandalize the school with graffiti," the prefect commented with a smirk, motioning down the corridor before leading the way toward the staircases.

It wasn't that she wanted to let him go. In fact she would have gladly stood there holding onto the blonde all evening if she could've. Sadly that wasn't the case as Frankie had to go on his prefect rounds. Sigh.

The smile on the boys face was enough to make her heart swell. Gosh she missed that smile of his. "That's the thing with having free time now, I'll get to spend it with you, that is if you want me around all the time now." A playful smirk tugged at her lips as she spoke. Her change of activities was all for him and what she knew they had deep down even if they'd have to work back up to that.

This. This comment made her laugh out loud. "There's no way anyone will beleive that." Her getting into trouble. Nope. It wasn't her style but then again she had been doing a lot of things that weren't like her lately.

Now that the hugging was over and Hady wasn't crying or on the verge of doing so, Frankie found the moment to be rather bittersweet. It was nice that they were at least on talking terms once again, though it sucked that he had the responsibilities of a prefect to attend to. At least she was eager to venture off with him. It had been such a very long time.

With the Fat Lady long behind them (though her obnoxious singing could still be heard), the blond and brunette walked side by side. He side-glanced at her when she brought up having more free time. "Who'd you hex to get your hands on a time-turner then?" He asked, mostly joking. As for whether or not he'd want her around, he replied, "Well ... I do need some help catching up with Potions. And it would be nice to start doing the Animagi training together again."

He laughed when she laughed and told him that no one would believe that she would ever vandalize the school. Frankie knew that she wouldn't, at least not out in the open. "You never know. You are in a band now. They can get kinda rebellious at times." He smirked as they both made a turn that took them to the moving staircase.

Abby was on here way back to her common room when she stopped outside of the entrance to the gryffindor common room hoping to find somebody to talk to

Kitty was out roaming Hogwarts. This time she went in a direction that she had never went in before: towards the Gryffindor common room. Now she knew she couldn't get inside it, but just seeing the Fat Lady would be an interesting experience.

And there she was. The Gothic girl approached her somewhat shyly, her camera out. "Hello," she greeted her, not sure if it would be rude to call her "Fat Lady." "I'm Kitty from Ravenclaw. I don't want to get inside the common room, I just wanted to see the entrance."

"Can I please take a picture of you?" she asked, while at the same time snapping one, two, then three pictures of the Fat Lady.

Tenacius needs some chow. Tenacius was gonna make some chow. But as Hogwarts would have it they would make the usually most voracious consumers of the castle-- aka the Gryffindors-- be the FARTHEST from the kitchens. Theres even a door as if that’s another attempt to slow them down. Does it? Of course not.

He swung the door open and just as he did so, a BRIGHT FLASH zooooomed for his eyeballs, making everything around him turn white and painful and asdfasdfasdfasd! He toppled forward and landed in a heap against the doorway and a half opened portrait-door.

Ouch.

So there Kitty was, happily click clicking away with her camera - when all of a sudden the door opened and she found herself taking a picture not of the Fat Lady, but of a Gryffindor boy with nice hair.Unfortunately her flash caused him to stumble backwards, banging against the doorway and the half opened portrait door. Ouch! That looked painful.

Kitty winced. "Sorry! Are you okay?" She bent down to get closer and see if the Gryfindor boy was okay., and all of a sudden she recognized why he looked so familiar.

"You're Tenacius - Haddie's friend, right?"

Lights! Camera! Action!

..... Those words suddenly having new meaning for the Gryffindor Ace. "Did somebody get the number for that truck??" he warbled as he struggled to pull himself upright. Because really it felt like he just walked into a wide side of a lorry. "I'm ok..." he replied automatically. Because Gryffindor yknow? But yeah he was still seeing stars....

-- oh finally he was able to focus. And he sees a girl that looked familiar from his classes. "Yeah yeah I am.... Haddie's friend yeah. You're Haddie's friend too?" Haddie does have a lot of friends doesn’t she? He fell silent for a moment, mostly trying to orient himself, but also trying to recall her name... Kneazle? No no that was the clue-- "Ah! Kitty right? Hello Kitty!" did he just crack a joke? He sure did. He's chuckling now at his cleverness. The only thing he can do than whimper from the ache at the back of his eyeballs....

"Truck?" Kitty asked in confusion, looking around wildly before getting the joke. Oops. Guilty. But at least he was okay. "Ha ha. You probably don't need to go to the hospital wing then. But if later you find out that you can't remember something then you maybe you should go anyway. Recently I lost my memory and it was probably because I fell and don't remember it." That was the explanation for her amnesia that she had eventually settled upon.

She smiled faintly when he asked if she was also one of Haddie's friends."Yeah I'm also one of Haddie's friends." Though she hadn't hanged out with her recently and hadn't talked with her as much as she had last year, she was still her friend. "Kitty is what my friends call me," she confirmed, laughing a little when he said Hello Kitty. "Er...hello Tenacius." Okay, that sounded a little awkward, but he said hello first, so wasn't the proper response to say hello back???

"She really likes you," Kitty said about Haddie. "Did you know she wants to be in Gryffindor?"

"Hospital wing? I am a Gryffindor, we don’t need to go to no Hospital wing for a little scrape." he puffed his chest out. Proud words for one who felt like a bowling ball was going all pinball arcade in his skull. And really almost as soon as those words left his lips, he squinted and slouched and tried to clear his head.

"Right... memory check, gotcha." he replied on her advise. But now he's curious. "You fell? You fell so bad you lost your memory? How badly did you fall?" because that sounded pretty awful if one actually lost a few marbles.

"Yeah she told me she wanted to be in Gryffindor. Had a shirt for it too." he chuckled. He knew that. The other thing though? "She likes me?...." he wondered for a moment and then laughed "...Well I sure hope she does it would suck that we're buddies and then realized she hates my guts." Also it made no sense to him to keep hanging around people one despises. But then again, he gets it, some people do....

She didn't press any more on the hospital wing because he really seemed to be okay and besides, she had more interesting things to talk about with him.

"Dunno, but it must have been a REALLY bad fall," Kitty replied with relish, pleased that he was asking her questions about it. "One moment I was in the courtyard looking at my mirror and planning to talk to the headmaster, and next moment I was on my knees in Charms lesson, being threatened with a detention if I didn't pay attention to class. From what I hear, it seems like I was roaming around Hogwarts asking for a stone or something. So yeah, a REALLY bad fall." So in case Tenacius had been wondering why she had been acting so weird (if he saw her at all when she was), well now he knew why!

But on Haddie...he seemed a little oblivious. Kitty felt she had to specify."Well of course she likes you because you're friends" continued Kitty, giggling along with him when he laughed. "But I meant that she REALLY likes you. As in LIKE like." Because she didn't want to be TOO specific. Actually, there was zero subtlety in Kitty's meaning but for some reason she didn't want to spell L-O-V-E outright, preferring instead to see the light dawn on his face when he finally realized.

Heh. This was fun!.

Ok wait a minute.... Tenacius remembered that Charms class. And yes he distinctly remembered Kitty being all zombie like in and around the school, which although he found odd, he had merely passed it off as a 'girl thing'. Apparently it wasn’t that kinda thing. "Yeah you were...." the Gryffindor confirmed about the stone hunt "Didn’t understand what you-- or the others for that matter-- was on about about stones or books or whatever it was they were looking for." hence his initial thought that it was a girl phase that frankly, he didn’t want to know more about. Because icky from what he already knew about it.

"But yeah I was at class when you fell, you didn’t fall very far. Like kinda tripped and lost your footing, and that’s it. Not enough for you to lose your marbles." he added with all honesty. "Why were you looking for a stone anyway? And what kind of stone? You were just repeating words that made no sense."

Haddie likes him... Like really likes him. He looked at the Claw brunette, brows arched that he was still sliiiightly doubtful, but those blue-green peepers dawning on the realization of a truth "You sure about that?" He looks away for a moment, quiet, save for the idle tapping of his fingers against the wall of which he leaned against. Probably the most quiet he's ever been save for when he's asleep. "Well..... I guess that gives some clue to those flying cherubs gnomes things that dropped candies on me back in Herbology....."

Hehehe....was he smiling? Why yes he was, not his usual exuberant beaming, but something more meaningful, something more personal. "How'd you know so much about that Kitty Pride?"

Boom. Another nickname joke. Man he is just winning today.

"I have no idea why I was looking for a stone." She frowned thoughtfully. "Honestly, psychology is not a subject I've studied in detail. Maybe my mind knew something was wrong but it didn't exactly what, so it wrapped itself around the idea of finding something, in this case a stone. Sorry, I know that probably sounds pathetic, but I can't explain it either. Unless someone cursed me. Do you think someone cursed me?" But who would do that? She imagined Miffy might try to curse her if she could but that wasn't one of her powers. "I'm just glad no one hexed me when I was doing all that, thinking I was trying to annoy them or something."

But that was all over with, right? Kitty would much rather talk about Hadley than her amnesia, that was way more interesting.

She could tell based on his arched eyebrows and questioning that Tenacius was not entirely convinced. "I am 200 percent certain she likes you that way," Kitty nodded vigorously. "I mean, have you noticed how she is always trying to sit with you in classes?" Okay, not always, but often enough. "Trust me, she's wild about you. Even if she didn't exactly tell me that, we spend a lot of time together being in the same house and friends, and I can tell when one of my friends likes a boy." As a matter of fact, you could say picking up gossip was one of Kitty's biggest talents. "Besides...who else would have sent you those gnomes - and in the middle class to top it all. I mean, that's SO Haddie."

"You're very lucky Tenacius," said Kitty, trying to stop herself from looking too excited as she watched Tenacius smile. "But if I were you I would let her know that you feel the same way. She's felt this way for more than a year and up until now you've been pretty oblivious - no offence or anything. If you don't respond then she might think you're not interested." And that would be terrible.

"What do you mean by calling me Kitty Pride?" She never watched X-Men and so had not caught the reference. That comment really distracted her.
