Rooney didn't like to admit that he learnt his bed duelling things from the younger students, but he would admit that his preparation always involved reading over his notes from Miss Charlotte's last battle duel. There was always a column on how pretty she looked, and a rating scale for how well her beautiful daffodil hair lasted through the ordeal. Usually he scored her a full 15/10 for it the entire time. Most typically, because she was always a 15/10, but her hair still always kept it's daffodil colour and he was particularly infatuated with it. He had tried to catch her attention before she started with a wave, but knew that she was probably "in the zone" and he totally understood that.
He watched soooo carefully at every move she made, only giving Miss Chloe a moment of his attention and then he yelped. "She's bleeding from the eye!!" ... And it was black? Why was it BLACK?! Is that what made you a dark wizard? Having black blood? It was then that he looked at both of the girls properly and saw that they were BOTH having eye problems -- Miss Chloe, notably having a bit of a problem with her whole face. BUT, Roo knew enough of the Ravenclaw that she painted on her face and so the pumpkin that had cradled her head previously was clearly to blame for her...whatever was going on over there.
But what about Miss Charlotte? WAS she a dark witch? Was she going to do more damage to his heart than she already had? Probably, she was wanted by all of the boys she wasn't related to. Still, though... he thought she was entirely magnificent. Heyyyyyyyy...... was Miss Chloe TAINTING Miss Daffodil with her face paint? Why hadn't he noticed? Why did it make her look so pretty though? Why did it-- oh, he had so many questions about everything but she was already in her duel and he couldn't just...go over there. That would definitely get him detention.
But he did still want to speak to her.
And tell her that she needed to be his first kiss.
NEEDED.

Cornelius couldn't have been more excited than he was now. Maybe even more excited over his own duel. Katty!Kat was here and she was one of his favorite peeps and SHE WAS GOING TO KICK BUM SO HARD!

The boy was even wearing a yellow and black scarf he'd picked up at the Great Hall. Whose it was, he didn't know, but he'd return it to the table later after the duel.
"Wooot! Go, Kateriiiina!" he cheered buoyantly as a Baltazar does. When the girls got into position, Cornelius sat the edge of the bench, waving the little tassels at the end of the Puffer scarf. Go, go KaAAaaaT!
Stick her to the ground, Katerina. You GOT THIS! HISS!RAWR (INSERT WHATEVER BATTLE CRY BADGERS DO HERE).

Paul was here MOSTLY because he wanted to see James Draper get his booty handed to him by the poised and ever beautiful NANA ICHICHEWBACCA. Paul still had no idea how to say her name.

He brought popcorn, as usual, and wondered if anyone wanted any. He was totally willing to share!
"GO NANA! NANANA NANANA HEY HEY HEY, GOODBYE...DRAPER!" Did they like his impromtu song? He loved it.

He. Was. At. The. Edge. Of. His. Seat.
His old habit of biting on his nails made a comeback. This was SO COOL and nerve wracking! Like, his friend was out there and her shoes have just been GLUED to the floor. Cornelius was about to suggest she lose the shoes. Lose 'em, Katty!Kat, you don't need them. But, of course, she was clever, and Cornelius BEAMED when she abandoned her shoes.
Did professor Hirsch see that? Because Cornelius had and it was brilliant!
The curly haired boy waved the black and yellow scarf, chanting under his breath. "Go, go, Katty!Kat. Go, go, Katty!Katy! Wooooh!" Must not disrupt but that didn't mean he couldn't wiggle his bum in excitement.
