| | |  The Spirit Room
The door to a mysterious door on the fifth floor swings open to reveal a dank and dusty room which has clearly been vacant for years. White sheets cover the furniture, cobwebs fill every nook, cranny, corner, and everything in between, including a cup filled with wooden potion stirrers. The heavy scent of mildew permeates every aspect of the room. For some reason, all you can do is stand and stare inside.
Though the door swung open easily, a strange barrier once again prohibits the living from entering this room. The barrier was put in place by Marcella Riddle the term after her unfortunate demise and protected the peace and quiet of the ghosts still residing at Hogwarts. The room has on off since laid quietly in the years since the young Hogwarts ghosts reattained their bodies.

Echo was walking down the hallway when she saw a door that she hasn't seen before. "hmm that's strange, why haven't I seen this before" she thought while stopping and reaching her hand out to the door. Opening it slowly she heard the creaky sounds of the old handle turning. pop the door swung open and all she got was a cloud of dust that instantly started to make her cough. "great!!" she spat out.. while moving her hand infront of her face to try to disperse the particles.

What had happened???
It took a moment for her to realize that the door to the Spirit Room had been opened. She had forgotten about that place because she had never stepped inside, only heard about it from other students. Seeing the ghosts around the other areas of the school was enough for her.

The dust started to fade away and she could see that it was a girl. "hey, sorry" she said while ignoring her urge to look into the open door to see what was on the other side. "i didn't know that this door even opened?" she said not really noticing that the other girl had her wand out.

He was definitely her favourite of the ghosts though she did like the others - The Baron not so much because he was scary.
"I wonder if they would mind if we added colour to the room." Esme had no idea and she wasn't sure if that would cause them to get into a lot of trouble. She knew now important the ghosts were and how much trouble you could get into if you were seen as being disrespectful to them.

Ouch. That had to hurt a little.
"Are you all right?" Esme winced. That had to hurt a bit, but she seemed to be all right fortunately. The soreness would pass in a moment or so and the Healer wouldn't be needed. "Maybe they heard that we want to redecorate," she speculated. No, it had to be something else... "I guess they don't want the living to bother them." Esme didn't see anything wrong with what she said since it WAS true; even some of the Slytherins had to agree that he was a bit unsettling. She nodded. "All the House Ghosts are cool." Didn't make the Baron any less creepy though...
At least Echo was being friendly and not all annoyed like some people would be.
"I'm glad that you are all right." It wouldn't be nice if someone was in pain. She looked at Echo's face carefully. "There is a little bit, but it seems to be fading." Nothing to worry about! It would be gone in no time. Then they could decorate! "That's a good idea! Maybe we could ask the Transfiguration Professor since we're near the classroom!" Well...nearish. The Sixth Floor wasn't far away. "Maybe the ghosts are in another dimension or something. They will be thrilled with their surprise!" Hopefully. | |
