Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.

OOC: This duel must be completed by the 12th of March by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time.

Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell.
Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability.

The day of the second duel. Hady was seriously excited about this one. No reason not to be honestly, even if she was going up against the bestie. Zeke was an awesome duelest which meant that no matter what both of them would be giving it their all to win. There would be no going easy on one another.
Fit in her dueling robes, hair tied back tightly in a french braid the female snake made her way for the center of the arena. With her wand held firmly in her hand, held down at her side. "Bestie," she greeted simply her face blank of emotion though there may have been a hint of playfulness shining in her eyes. This was going to be entertaining for not just them but anyone watching them.
Bowing at the waist Hady never let her eyes leave her opponents even as she stepped backwards several paces. Raising her wand up in front of her she wasted no time before casting the opening spells, 'Green Sparks' directed right in front of him to cause a small distraction. This was instantly followed up with "Everte Statum!"
The very second her second charm was cast she was already on the move around the arena. Moving around was always useful to her.

He was actually hungry for this one, and his muscles were buzzing with adrenaline before he even set foot in the arena. The human body never ceased to amaze him, helping him rise to the occasion. This second duel felt completely different to the last, and it was reminiscent of the tournament from last season... the one where he had owned. Did Hady remember that? Because he'd been training especially hard, and somehow he didn't think her learning to grow whiskers on her own accord was going to help with that. Ahem. He was a little cocky. Just a little.
Fingers flexing around his wand grip, Zeke, smartly dressed in the dueling uniform he so dearly loved, strut to the centre of the arena to meet his match.
"Hadykins," he greeted, maintaining his gaze on her hazel eyes with his own as he bowed in her direction, before he too started taking measured paces backward. He was grinning, because right now, he felt completely in his element and didn't need to worry about breaking the girls heart. It wouldn't be an issue, she'd get as good as she gave (or better), and she wouldn't hold it against him.
He felt, free.
In his freedom he hadn't anticipated such a swift start, so her first attack caught him slightly off-guard - as meek as green sparks were, they made for decent distractions. It had left him scrambling to leap out of the way of her second assault.
Well then... game on, Miss Lynch.
With a quick recovery, Zeke trained his wand in her direction. Their space was still limited, and she couldn't keep moving forever, and she couldn't necessarily run either... "Colloshoo!" he cast first, immediately followed with a careful "Descendo." She was such a lovely person, so down to Earth... it was simply too fitting. He might actually die of delight to see her kissing the floor in front of him.

Hady blinked at him. If they weren't about to duel she may have thought that was funny. May have even busted up laughing in a fit of giggles. However now wasn't the time for it and the new yet semi cute-ish nickname wasn't getting anymore of her attention. Her focus needed to be constant as she did very well recall how Zeke had come out on top last term. Did he remember that she had placed third though. Her training was constant and not just in dancing, painting, drums or animagi forms.
The smug look on his face wasn't at all a bother either to her. No matter what happened this would be given her all. Which meant the very moment the lion leaped out of the way of her second spell she tightened her grip on her wand. "Protego!" A shield was thrown up effectively protecting her from the Stickfast Hex.
What happened next was messed up. One second she was on her feet protected from the first attack and the very next she was hitting the floor. Hard. Total face plant happening. It had happened so quickly there wasn't even time to put her hands down to break the fall. Luckily for her being as her head had been turned just enough as her eyes were following the boy this meant the side of her face hit the ground and not her nose. A small plus out of a bad thing. Actually the real plus here would be that she still had her wand in her hand somehow.
With the wind being knocked out of her and a consistent throbbing from the side of her face and left arm she didn't move from the floor. Shifting just enough to aim her wand in Zeke's direction she narrowed her eyes at him and cast a soft whispered "Obscuro," and "Scorching Spell". The latter of which was cast just in front of him in somewhat of a straight line as if she were attempting to make a wall of fire rather then directly at him.

He couldn't deny that Hady was good, of course she was, he was friends with her... BUT... lulz, she DID kiss the floor for him. Almost.
His humour was short-lived however, because before he knew it he saw the telltale movements of her wand and something was cast in his direction. All he could do to evade it was to jump to the side, landing hard on his arm, and effectively joining her on the floor. Before he could even stop to consider his position, he raised a shield to deflect whatever nasty surprise Hady had coming for him next. "Protego!" Sneaky! She was being sneaky!
It had been a close call. And now he was on the floor, just as she was. Great. Excellent. Brilliant.
THIS is what he was trying to avoid this year!!!!
He could still hear Sabel's amused laughter about his constant trips off his feet, and it appeared as though his one-match streak would not become two. Foiled. Hady foiled his plans. Zeke had vengence on the mind though, and while she had been kind enough to give him a laugh only seconds ago, it was only fair he return the favour. After all, what were best friends for? "Rictusempra," he cast in her direction before rolling onto his knees and scooting to his feet - moving a few paces back with his wand trained on her.

The view from the floor was spectacular. Did he know that? He must've seeing as how he had jumped to avoid her spell effectively landing him on the floor as well. Hady smirked at him wiggling her fingers at him around her wand. Hello there Mister Browne, it's so nice of you to join us.
Her smirk was very short lived as she found herself quickly rolling out of the way when her own charm was sent right back at her. It hurt. Rolling over completely from her stomach to her stomach once more had surely gotten her out of harms way as the flames from the rebounded spell hit the floor just narrowly missing her body.
The ache in her arm and face from smashing into the floor was very much still a thing and rolling over hadn't helped at all with any of this. However seeing Zeke now in somewhat of the same position as herself made her nearly laugh. It was a duel though and there wasn't time for laughter. Maybe next time lion. "Protego!," she called out shielding herself from a potently fit of giggles. "Herbifors." Flowers were lovely. Everyone knew that. A little bit of accessorizing was always nice.

His amusement that Hady had remained on the floor wasn't able to surface as he was mildly distracted by her rolling to miss his assaults. It was a darn shame, because having her on the floor was a significant advantage to him, it would be a crying shame if he didn't capitalise on it.
In his moment of distractedness, he registered too little too late that Hady had countered him with an assault of her own.
Flowers.
Bright red and orange tulip-esque shoots came sprouting from his shoulder upon contact, and while he wasn't bothered by them, he didn't like that she'd gotten to him. Not wasting a single second upon receiving his own impact, he returned a spell in her direction, making sure to keep his voice low enough so she couldn't hear him. "Expulso," he cast to the side of her. There was only so much rolling she could do, right?
Sorry Hady, but it couldn't all be fun and games.

She should've been getting up. Fact.
She should've gotten up awhile ago. Fact.
Only she hadn't. Hady remained on the floor. It was a fact once more and another that she had just narrowly missed Zeke's attack by rolling out of the way. However she HAD missed it and was safe for a second as brightly colored flowers sprouted on her friends shoulder. Not just any flowers either. One of her favorites after lilies. It caught her attention for the briefest of seconds her eyes focusing on it in slight surprise. It had worked!
Bad idea. One second she was looking at beautiful flowers and the next there was a loud explosion just a few inches from her. Bits of floor and rock rained down on her forcing the snake to raise her arms up in order to protect her head and face. The dust from the explosion making her cough as she lowered her arms from her face and sat up slowly, then got herself to her feet.
Hady fixed her eyes on the Gryffindor ignoring the ache in her arm and the side of her face as well as the fact that she was covered in dirt and dust now. Exhaling a small shaky breath she raised her wand steadily spending the first charm that came to mind at him. "Colloshoo." Which she followed up with the 'Conjunctivitis Curse.'

For a split second he felt like a bit of a jerk, casting at Hady like that... but, it was a duel, so he erased the thought from his mind. Unfortunately for Hady, he wasn't distracted by concern to be unable to defend himself... he did defend himself, if only a little too late.
All too suddenly he felt a weight in his feet, as if they were anchors keeping him in place, and though he'd cast "Protego," his shield had been too slow to protect him from the Stickfast Hex - which meant though that he instead managed to deflect her second attempt. A good thing too, because he really didn't fancy pink-eye. Never mind that he was sure Maggie wouldn't fancy the pink-eye either and he was determined to celebrate with her after this round of duels.
Not wanting to waste any time, Zeke opted to make himself less vulnerable to Hady's attacks by unbinding his feet from the floor with "Finite," before skipping a couple of paces to the side, brandishing his wand contemplating his next attack.

Hady knew that this was a duel and her best friend wasn't intentionally aiming to hurt her in anyway no matter how it might've looked to anyone watching. The explosions, the fire, flowers, distractions it was all a part of growing and becoming stronger, faster, better thinkers. The two of them were remaining on their toes the entire time without even a split second to pause and consider the next move they would make. It was like a true duel against an enemy in as Zeke was pushing her to do her best which she was grateful for.
She was ready though even if she saw his feet were stuck to the floor from her spell. Hady knew it wouldn't last very long, the lion wouldn't allow it. That's why the very second she saw the bright flash of her spell rebounding off of his shield and straight back at her she made to sidestep out of the way...fast. It skimmed right past her left arm but didn't touch her. "Magicus Extremos, Homing Spell" she muttered softly aiming her wand at Zeke.
The boy was fast and smart yes but would he be able to easily get away from a spell that was locked onto him? It made it just a little harder to get away from.

He was impressed with how easy Hady made it look to dodge the deflected spell, and it was for this reason that he didn't for a second underestimate his opponent. His next attack was on the tip of his tongue, but it was when he saw Hady's lips move and her wand direct at him that the plan went out the window.
He'd trained for this. He couldn't miss it. He wouldn't miss it.
Sabel had put him through the ringer with it, especially after landing a bench on himself in class. It hadn't been the smoothest of moves, even if it had been fairly effective. No. This would be very different to that. Instinctively and within the second, Zeke directed his wand in front of him with an enthusiastic, "Avis!" leaving his lips. Two syllables. He was being timely... and the birds were not technically real so it wasn't something that would weigh on his conscience. The flock of birds shot from his wand-tip in time intercept the homing-spell-reinforced-throwing-spell causing the impact to be discharged. He ducked enough to not be hit by the rebounding birds as they were expelled away from the epicentre of the incident.
Was the audience entertained? Because he certainly was. Grinning, he swiftly followed that up with a charming Ears to Kumquats spell. She couldn't be allowed to hear what was coming for her next... and kumquats were cute, right?

In the brief moment between the spells leaving her wand and zipping towards Zeke, Hady wondered if it would truly hit. Chances were not looking like it would but knowing the dark haired boy he had some type of trick up his sleeve to keep it from being so. And there it was. Birds. Lots of birds.
Exploding birds. Right then a ton of feelings filled her all at once. Disappointment. Frustration. Anger. Hurt. And a few others she couldn't figure out. Bits of bird were flying everywhere and she wanted to snap at Zeke for using an animal to defend himself from the spell. But she didn't. She knew they weren't exactly real birds and there wasn't anything to be upset over. It was just the animal lover inside her that didn't like it even if birds sometimes got to her know after being attacked by them last term during her duel with Maggie.
Focus Hady. Focus. She whispered mentally to herself. "Protego!," she cast effectively throwing up a shield to protect herself from his Ears to Kumquats spell. Dropping the shield she cast the, "Cornflake Skin Spell."

First and foremost.......... Hadykins?!
Hirsch gave Zeke a look. Now, he may not know exactly what went on in the students' personal lives but this wasn't something he wanted to overhear. Especially since it reminded him far too much of a certain other duel during the first round. Merlin, as long as this one didn't turn into anything like that.
And keep in mind that he was here, okay?
The duel started and he tried to forget all about pet names and the like once the spells were being cast back and forth. It was interesting to see two great duelers battling it out. In fact, soon enough, it was as if Hirsch was watching one of his favourite shows that he'd been waiting all too long to watch. The spell casting, the shields, the expert dodges.......... everything was appreciated.
And then it had to end.
Shame, he was getting so into the duel. Constructing a magical shield, he stepped out from the shadows and made his way over towards the two. "That has to be one of the best duels I've seen. Excellent excellent dueling from both of you." Could they see how happy he was? "Congratulations, Mr Browne, for taking the lead on this one. And well done on putting up a good fight, Miss Lynch."
