So his first duel was against Hady's boyfriend. Well not like he had anything against the guy or hardly knew him. But this should be fun. It was his first duel of this year or something. The last time he had time to even talk to him was at Hady's party and well Dante was with Eureka most of the time. So yeah. Anyway with bowing and pleasantry's down. It was time to get to the actually dueling part after Dante has the last word with a smile, of course.

"Good Luck"

Now to the dueling.

"Obscuro!"

Dante immediately cast at him. The whole getting a snake to attack people last year was fun until Thornton forced Dante to basically kill his snake. Not fun at all. Dante followed up the Obsucro with a good and well time placed

"Anteoculatia"

If it lands. It is funny seeing people's air turn into antlers. Dante had a hard time taking school duels serious.

The Gryffindor had his pokerface on and was ready to go head-to-head against Dante Barrington. The moment the two were paired together, Frankie tried his best to muster all of the information he could about his opponent from his mind. Even though he had been at the school for five years now, all he knew about the boy standing in front of him was that he was a Slytherin, a fellow fifth year, and that they had a number of mutual friends. He didn't know if Dante was quick on his feet or had a deadly fear of spiders or knew a slew of spells. It was certainly going to be an interesting duel, that much he could bet on.

"Dante," Frankie murmured in response, bowing his head as per that silly duelling rule (he never did get the point of that, as no one was going to bow in a real duel, but he'd play along with the pleasantries). He nodded his head once that was done and got into position, his wand pointing directly at Dante. Duel on!

It would be a lie if the blond said that he wasn't taken aback by how quickly the Slytherin started sending off spells at his direction. Casted first was a Transfiguration spell he was rather familiar with, and it was a cast that he managed to duck moments before it made contact. However, the second spell Dante sent at him could not be avoided. Blond hair curled and formed a set of antlers, which had to have been a horrific sight for anyone to see. Frankie's precious hair-do was ruined, which was something he definitely was not happy about. No one but Hady could get away with doing such a crime.

Shooting Dante a fierce look, Frankie quickly made his move. Now standing upright after having ducked down, he flicked his wand upward, saying, "Levicorpus!" But the prefect wasn't done yet. Seconds after the jinx escaped his lips, another incantation was said, "Rictusempra!" Hopefully the message was clear for Dante and anyone else watching: never mess with the 'do.

Well Dante was not more amused than he should be. Frankie's hair looked hilarious and he looked so ticked off about it. Looked like Dante found another hair lover. He was a little disappointed his first spell missed. But hey you cant expect every spell to hit. He was lucky his second did at all. But thank merlin it did since it was the antler hair spell. Oh Dante grinned again just looking at his opponent.

"Protego"

Dante sent the spell back at him. Going to have to do better than that. Dante thought just before he just hit with the Gryffindor's second spell. And well since he was not ticklish at all, he got knocked backwards hard right onto his rear. Dante hated the tickling charm. He sometimes wondered if being tickled would be less worse. Still no his butt he pointed his wand at Frankie and mutter

"Calavrio"

Dante was thinking hair was important to the guy. Good thing Dante knew a lot of spells that mess with peoples hair.

This is just getting started.

Did Dante have something against hair or.........?

Hirsch was standing in the background, slightly confused with the boy's fighting style. The only logical reason he could think of was that he knew Mr Paton properly and knew how much he cared for his hair. Otherwise, he just didn't see why someone would target that area when there were other, more important pressure points that could be attacked.

Really, Dante.

Amused, the man shook his head and waited for the time to be up. Three...... two....... and up went the magical shield, making Dante's hair falling out spell irrelevant. Sorry, kid. "Interesting duel, gentlemen." Interesting was definitely the right word for it. Pity that it was cut short.

Stepping up to the two boys, he got rid of any and all spells still in effect which meant that, yes, you don't have antlers anymore, Mr Paton. "Well done on putting up a brave fight, Mr Paton, but Mr Barrington takes the win for this round." Cue a proud smile going towards the Slytherin.

Stats:
Dante Barrington: 94.80%
Franklin Paton: 88.87%
