Welcome to your third and final duel!
This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Jinx Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below.
Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.
_______________
A referee (either Professor Airey or Professor Hirsch) will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed.
Please remember to adhere to the Dueling Club rules, the DADA rules as well as the SS Site rules.
Good luck!

| H:400 m:400 f: 25 Vanessa the Snot Girl l Rachels Rule | rock, tumble,&roll ❆ adorable coffee bean Third duel. Gracie was getting into this. She actually really liked this. Her partner this time was a year younger. That didn't exactly mean that Gracie was going to go easy on her though. She was a sixth year. That wasn't that bad. And Gracie knew she wouldn't be happy if someone went easy on her. So she was going to just duel as she usually did. And hopefully she would win.
Gracie smiled at the other student, and bowed. She then go into her duelling stance. Before letting things stall too long she sent a verbal Cantis directed at Freya, quickly followed by a non-verbal Purple Firecrackers and then a verbal Langlock

| 350 ; 360; 30 Dragon Geisha/Toni-Toni Chopper/Master of Chocobos Alpha Goddess/ Darth Devious /Davvy's twinneh Ilia walked up to the platform this time very ready to go. She didn't care who was on the other side, it wasn't her boyfriend so she would feel no guilt. Yes, her opponent was a year older, but to her it made no difference. She gave the customary bow and was no less than polite. She didn't know the girl other than in passing, but she didn't hold any negative thoughts about her.
The moment she was allowed to cast, Ilia verbally used "Protego" to throw a shield around herself. Good thing she did too, as it deflected Cantis. That would NOT have gone well.....
Taking a page from her last duel, she cast the bedazzling hex upon herself. Her invisibility did not come quick enough to save her though as her opponent cast a nonverbal at her. She couldn't tell what it was until it sparked at her. Attempting to step out of the way only got her so far and some of the sparkssinged her clothes......this was why she kept her hair in a bun for dueling....she would have had to hurt someone!
The last spell she was able to dodge in her invisible state thankfully. She poured her will into casting "Expelliarmus", quiet but not non verbal, hopefully that would buy her a moment or two. |

| H:400 m: 297 f:25 Vanessa the Snot Girl l Rachels Rule | rock, tumble,&roll ❆ adorable coffee bean Okay. It was going well so far. Or so she thought it was. But she wasn't going to get too ahead of herself. She wanted to win. She had a win and a lose under her belt. She totally needed another win. Because she was cool like that. But she wasn't going to get ahead of herself.
Thinking back to her last fight, Grace cast a Disillusionment Charm. That had worked well last time. So she could totally hide now. Perfect. Good thinking Paton. The charm didn't manage to get up in time before she got affected by Freya's spell, but she gripped her wand harder, so that her wand didn't come completely out of her hand.
By now. She was invisible. Which helped a lot. Thinking to herself, she cast a non-verbal leeks curse. That would do for now. And for now she'd keep quiet, and invisible.

| urine trouble | Pat's Strong Confident Other Half | Pees Like a Champion Unicorn Racehorse This was another duel that would probably seem unfair to most but he was more than certain that Miss Valke was more than capable of facing off someone older than her. And it was only a one year difference, which could both made a huge difference and didn't make too much of a difference either.
So when the duel started off, he had no worries or qualms about it. He simply stood back and watched it unfold, his arms crossed at his chest. Hirsch had to admit, it was quite impressive to see so many non-verbal spells flying around. Non-verbal spells were hard on their own but in a duelling setting? Merlin, it could be nearly impossible if you didn't have a cool head on your shoulders.
And then the time was up. Shame.
The shield had gone up, making whatever non-verbal spell Miss Paton had cast irrelevant. "Well done on that excellent display of magic. Really well done." He was impressed, could they tell? "While you've put up a great fight, Miss Paton, the title of the winner of the duel goes to Miss Valke. Congratulations!" And someone older than her, too. Stats: Grace Paton: 83.92% Freya Valke: 91.15%
