Stepping out from their Common Room, Ethan waited for the two first years to catch up to him. Maybe he should slow down a bit because Oliver and Tom have shorter legs compared to him. Ehehe. Oops? He’s just as excited as the two, okay? It felt like being a new kid again!

Tom followed Ethan out into the corridor. He was really excited to finally see the rest of the castle. The Great Hall and the Slytherin common room were really awesome, but the dungeons themselves were really kind of spooky. He was really curious to know what the rest of the castle was like!

"Where are we going first?" he asked eagerly.

Tom's father didn't have to know if they did anything against the rules. That's what Oliver wanted to say, but decided it wasn't the best idea. Especially because he wasn't sure if Ethan would approve of him saying things like that. The older boy had said they wouldn't be exploring the forbidden parts. That was fine with Oliver - as long as he knew where they were he could explore them on his own some other time.

"What's your favorite class?" He asked Ethan as they made their way out of the common room. Olly recognized the area of course, since it was how he'd gotten into the common room the previous night. He kind of knew how to get in on his own, but he wasn't sure. He hadn't actually had to do it himself after the feast, since the entire house was entering at once.

Lucas had been chilling out in the common room when he thought he had seen Ethan. He remembered the older dude from the feast and decided that he wanted to hang with him if he was allowed. He seemed fun! He stumbled out of the common room and went up to him. "ETHAN!" Lucas beamed and bounced. His blonde hair, now streaked with green and silver courtesy of Big Snake Hady was all messy. His eyes widened as he noticed the other two guys who were with Ethan. They seemed to be his age but he wasn't too sure. "Oh... hey... I'm Lucas..." He gave a small wave, embarrassed now. "Am I intruding? I saw Ethan and I just wanted to say hi to him..." He shuffled his feet and sneaked a peek at Ethan.

It didn’t take long for the young ‘uns to get out. Good, because they’ve got lots of places to explore...or know, at the very least.

Tom was the first to come out, and as expected, a question was raised. “I’ll show you around the dungeons first, and then we go up another level.” It sounded logical, yes? He’d thank the mapping activity two terms ago, because he got a better understanding of the school now, more than ever.


Oliver came out next, and he’s got a more random question compared to Tom. “Favourite subject? That’s a toughie.” He said as he stuffed his hands inside his trousers’ pockets. “I have to say...Ancient Runes and Arithmancy. I like the logical stuff.” Those two subjects are like...puzzles itself, and he thoroughly enjoys them. “And I like the professors that handle it. Headmaster Botros, and Professor Tanner.” He said with a grin. “How about you guys? Any subjects in particular that interests you?” Maybe...Oliver would enjoy Potions...and Tom, probably Defense Against the Dark Arts. He practically jumped off of his seat when he heard about the duelling club last night.

He was about to gesture the two boys to follow him, when somebody screamed out his name. “Eh?” Ethan turned around and saw Lucas almost stumbling out of their hole, crashing on him. “Whoa. Slow down buddy!” It was Lucas, the hyperactiveSlytherin! And, “Cool streaks you got there.” He said picking on Lucas’ hair. Someone was very proud to be in Slytherin, eh? He liked it. “House pride I see.” The seventh year beamed, and looked amongst the first years around him.

Merlin. They’re so small.

Was he intruding? Not at all. If he were from some other house, then yes, he could be intruding. But since he’s one of his minionslittle bros, he was more than welcome to be around. Ethan gave a salute to the newcomer as his way of saying ‘hi’ back to him. “I don’t think you are. We’re about to explore the castle. Would you like to join us?” he was sure Oliver and Tom won’t mind. Lucas is one of their bros you know...

That sounded good. Tom kind of wanted to bounce on the balls of his feet and pepper Ethan with all sorts of questions about what all was in the dungeon, but he remember that Will (his older brother) had always gotten kind of annoyed when he did that, so he tried to bite his tongue. He'd see it all for himself in a few minutes anyway.

Tom had thought a lot about this question, especially since he'd looked over his brother's shoulder when he'd been doing his schoolwork, at least as long as his brother had put up with him hovering. "I think my favorite will probably be anything with lots of wand waving and spells, like Charms or Defense," he informed the others of his conclusions, "but I'll probably be best at the things with more logic or precision, like Ancient Runes or Potions maybe."

Tom turned and looked at the other Slytherin boy approaching them. He recognized him from the feast; he was one of the unruly boys who had been banging his silverware on the table last night, making the headache Tom had already had from all the loud talking nad stress even worse. He didn't think they'd been properly introduced.

Tom really wanted to frown at the way the other kid was screaming--Ethan was right there, he could have heard him perfectly well with an indoor voice!--but he kept his face perfectly straight so he could wait and see how Ethan reacted.

Tom internally groaned, but on the outside he managed a small smile that he was pretty sure looked totally genuine. "Yeah, sure, you're welcome to join us. I'm Tom by the way."

Ancient Runes and Arithmancy did not sound like ideal subjects to Oliver. They sounded pretty boring, but he wouldn't judge yet since he hadn't taken them. "I'm looking forward to Care of Magical Creatures." He loved animals and thought the subject should be interesting. Oliver much preferred hands-on learning, as opposed to lectures and lots of studying. Defense Against the Dark Arts sounded fun too. Oliver agreed with Tom - he was just excited to learn magic.

Oh look, someone else had come with them. Oliver grinned at the new addition. "Hi Lucas! I'm Oliver." He was always eager to welcome new people and make new friends. He really wanted to get to know the other first year boys, because he would be spending the next seven years of his life with them. Luckily all the ones he knew so far were pretty cool. "The more the merrier."

Lucas put on his breaks and came to a stumbling stop. He beamed up at Ethan, feeling short. "Hi!" He bounced. "Thanks! Hady did them! Her hair is so cool!" He beamed, "She is teaching me how to do it myself." He nodded a lot at the house pride thing and smiled. Then he was being asked if he wanted to join them in exploring the castle with him and the other dudes. He looked around, getting a good look at the two that were his age before nodding. "Sure! Sounds like fun and I don't have much to do yet anyways." He beamed and glanced over at one of the guys Tom.

He eyed Tom some, trying to figure out if they talked at all. He couldn't decide so he just gave a small nod. "I'm Lucas!" Lucas glanced around, not finding anything of interest to say to him at the moment before looking over at the other boy.

He grinned at his grin, instantly already liking him because he seemed really happy. "Nice to meet you, Oliver!" Lucas laughed. "I can always bring more merriment!" He started to try to do an Irish jig that his aunt's husband had been teaching him over the summer. He stumbled some but he laughed it off, already having fun. His grin was from ear to ear. "So what part are we off to explore at the moment?"

Care of Magical Creatures. Hmm...Oliver and Mordred will get along so well. His cousin who is now one of the Junior Dragon Researchers in the Ministry was very fond of that subject, alongside Defense Against the Dark Arts. "That one is an exciting class. You get to learn so much about different magical and mundane creatures and how to handle them." Ethan nodded. He had a feeling they will get a lecture about spiders because of what happened last term, but the greater question remains: Who will be teaching them this term? The Headmaster said they're currently negotiating with someone. Hopefully, he or she would be as good as Professor Thompson.

The seventh year then turned to the newcomer, Lucas, amused at the boy's energy. Well, he could tell he was worse when he was younger, so in his perspective, Lucas was still an okay boy. Not a weirdo like him when he was eleven. Anyway! Hady, eh? Girls...and hair. Their obsession with it will forever be a mystery to him, but then again, he's grateful that he's blessed with good hair. "That should leave an impression." Ethan was sure of it.

"Anyway...onto the tour!" the seventh year quickly did a look around their place, and decided to start with the Slytherin Wall. "Our prefects have shown you last night how to get in our Common Room, and that the password changes every fortnight, yes?" he said looking down at each head. "But did you know..." he said as he started to walk towards a gap that is hidden from plain sight, "That we've got a Secret Passage that can bring you directly to our Common Room without the password?" he continued pointing to the gap. "It's not going to work though when you're with someone from another house." he added, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall behind him, his gaze lingering longer on Oliver. Sorry bud, but you can't bring Ellery in the SCR.

His attention then went to Tom. Ethan chuckled at what he said. “You have much to learn, young padawan.” The Star Wars obsessed seventh year said. “Most, if not all subjects have wand waving...but if you’re asking for precision, I’d say you’ll do well in Transfiguration. Lots of wand waving like you said, and deep concentration to get the precise result you want.” Ethan nodded along and gave Tom a good pat-pat on his head. Such a promising kid!

Speaking of precision, “You guys might also like Potions. Lots of precision in there, but only a bit of wand waving.” He said as he strolled on the hallway and pointed them to a door that said ‘Potions Classroom’. “And this is where we get to experiment. This subject is taught by Professor Cosgrach Culloden. Brilliant man.” Well, all of them are to be honest. “If you want to talk to him...there’s his waiting area, and that’s the door to his office—make sure you knock FIRST before entering,” Manners, children, “...and over there is the Potions Laboratory. You can practice brewing solutions and potions in there, but do take note of Professor Culloden’s rules. You guys don’t want precious points from you for breaking a directive.” And...It’s really not nice for a first year to gain such negative impression from professors and students alike, yeah? They can all leave the embarrassment to Gryffindors. Ahem. “You can start brewing at 8 in the morning, and the lab closes at 9 in the evening. Also, you need to sign your name there,” he said pointing to the rostrum, “before entering the laboratory.” Nod nod.

“And of course, any kind of rule breaking...or doing something bad in general may result in a detention.” He said as he walked further dooown the corridor and stood just outside the door of the detention cells. “I’ve never been in there,” because he never got caught, thank you very much. “So I don’t know what it’s like inside.” He said as he glanced at the door. “Though I must say, those cells have seen nasty punishments from strict professors.” And just a couple of terms ago, a Gryffindor got his ultimatum for defying his punishment; Expulsion. “Alright you lot, let’s not dilly dally down here because we need to get some food,” he said as he started to walk towards the stairs that will bring them to the floor above, “And no,” he said quickly doing a 360 towards the baby snakes, “it’s not the Great Hall.” WINK.
