Noel didn't believe his eyes. Were they really trying to make music a preference in this school? Hogwarts was really really trying to make up for the last term's fiasco, wasn't it?

Noel wasn't complaining, nope.

Not yet anyway.

Beaming, the sixth year took no time to enter the classroom and be in awe of the all the equipment there. It was really perfect. Was there a possibility that they could play for the students again this term? THAT would be epic. He hadn't been this excited for Hogwarts in a long while. The only time he remembered being excited for Hogwarts was when he thought he'd get sorted into Gryffindor.

The paper bird still in her hands, Maggie had promptly made her way upstairs to the fifth floor. A music classroom. Weird. But also interesting in a way. The time it took her to get from the dungeons to this floor was spent wondering what exactly was IN this classroom and what it was for.

Was there going to be a music professor too?

After taking a wrong turn and having to go back, Maggie finally found the classroom and peeked inside. Ah yes. This was it. "I got your note." And with that she slipped inside, holding the paper bird up a little for Noel to see. "Hi." She grinned at him for a moment before looking around the room.

A piano. Wow.

Noel had been fiddling with the guitar in the room when he heard Maggie. "Hii!" Noel beamed. Was it weird that he was a little too puff these days? He'd have to fix this, yes.

"I didn't catch you in the train, or the feast - I was wondering where you were" he said, putting down the guitar and walking up to her. He also needed to know if things would still be awkward between them after what happened with aparecium last term. "So what do you think?" he asked. gesturing around the classroom. It was really really cool, huh?

Adi nearly fainted when he strolled into the random room. Instruments... instruments everywhere! But the piano was what grabbed his attention. He had played a bit of that over the years and so he believe he was reasonable at it. Without further ado, he bounded over to the instrument, pausing at the drum equipment. The drums were the third instrument he was working on and he was less confident of his talent with that.

He sat at the piano to tap some keys at random to check that it was in tune. Yup, yup. Everything sounded great! Now, which song to play? Oh, he knew! The Puffer began tapping the keys again. It would be an unfamiliar one to practically everyone at Hogwarts because it originated from India but it was one of his favourites. He sang along as he played, getting lost in the music.

Dante was meaning to check out this room mostly because while he was no good at playing an instrument. Other than just banging on some drums when he was bored. It was probably the only instrument he liked because Ascanius Stark was pretty awesome.

Also, he could appropriate some good music.

Just don't tell his brother any of that.

Hmm..should he make a fool of himself on the drums.

Decisions, Decisions

No. Awkwardness was prohibited. At least in Maggie's eyes.

So when he stepped closer she simply hugged him. "Hey!" No they hadn't seen each other on the train. Or the feast. Although she'd spotted him there for a moment but had then been too busy interacting with her fellow house mates. Or making fun of them. You know. The usual.

"I was a little late to the feast but I was there." Maggie replied after pulling back. She then sidestepped around Noel to look around the room properly. "Prettttty cool." Her eyes returned to Noel then and she gave him a curious look. "You're the expert though of course." So? Verdict?

So Cinna had heard about this room. Music was cool she could dance to it, but to sing or play a instrument that was laughable. She was more into the visual arts. Drawing, sketching, and painting. That was more of her forte. No pun intended.

She was thinking that she was the only one there. When she seen that there was someone else there. Dante barrington right? She had never talked to him before. "Do you play?" She looked at him for a moment and tilted her head at him. The Slytherin looked like he was about to start playing them. She was pretty sure that you were suppose to use drumsticks to beat on the drums. They don't bang themselves, right?

Dante was still thinking about just banging on the drums because that is all he was good at and that was not the proper way to play. Then he heard a voice, talking to him?

Really, he thought he was alone in here...guess not.

And it was a seventh Year on top of that. Cinnamon or something like that. Unique enough for Dante to remember. Even though they have never talked.

Not well, I can play drums so bad that you wish you were wearing headphones or casting a silencing spell"

Dante said grinning

Marsha was excited to be back! She hadn’t gotten lost yet, had gotten hundreds of hugs from her friends that she hadn’t seen all over the Summer and she had even managed to find time after lunch to take Suri to the Creature Housing to meet the faeries - and to introduce her specifically to Adi’s two; one of which SHE had been allowed to name last year. Hehe.

However, as she made her way back to the common room she heard music. Coming from a classroom she thought wasn’t in use. Wait… What? This wasn’t close to Professor Glendower’s music room… She followed the sound until she pinpointed the door that it was coming from and then pushed the door slightly, just letting herself peek through the gap…

ADI!!

She pushed the door open further and peaked into the room. ”Woah.” She said as she closed the heavy door behind her before moving across the room as Adi played some kinda song that she didn’t recognise and sounded.. vaguely… Indian? Was that right? Hmm… She didn’t really know but it reminded her of some Bollywood theme songs her aunts had been listening too from a soundtrack compilation on the radio.

”Hi Adi…” She called out as she moved around the side so that she would be standing in his line of vision and towards the bottom of the grand piano. Smiling widely, she tried to lean on the end of the piano only to realise that she was far too short to do that comfortably. So, instead she moved to sit on the edge of the piano stool as Adi continued to finish the piece he was playing. She liked it, very relaxing.

Was there actually a lot of work in learning how to play the drums? Like just keep a beat going. She wasn't that musically inclined to keep a beat. She did know how to dance after all.

"Oh, yeah. That would be me too. It seen simple enough, you know?" She gave him a small shrug. She was willing to try anything once. Even if she made a fool out of herself. "Do you play anything?" she really didn't think that she would ever learn or want to learn to seriously learn how to play an instrument.

Give the girl a paint brush.

"I'm Cinna by the way." He had been around just about as long as she had and probably already knew who she was by now.

Adi was reminded of being home. No, not Hogwarts which he also considered his second home but his first home. The one with his parents, Uncle Amir and occasionally his grandparents from his father's side. He was playing one of those songs his parents liked to danced to. He grinned as he pictured them around the living room. It seemed he was feeling a little home sick.

The Puffer opened his eyes which had been closed for at least the last minute when he heard his name being called. Marsha! She got a smile but Adi didn't stop playing though he did budge over so she could sit with him.

Finally, when the song was winding down, he ended it with gusto by tapping some of they keys in a fast paced manner. Then he turned to Marsha to give her a great, big hug. "Heeeey! What's up?'' He gestured to the piano. "Can you play? Or any other instruments?''

"It is probably the easiest one to just jump into and at least try to keep a beat." Well at least to Dante it was. There were probably easier instruments. But he could not think of them at this moment. Probably something like the triangle. But really that thing should not be an instrument.

Come, On.

"Well the only songs i know that i can probably at least trying keeping a beat with on the drums on TDK songs."

Dante said shrugging. The reason was obvious.

"And I'm Dante"

Had they always had a music room? Penelope had never noticed this room before this year. She played flute and piano, and this would be a good room for music practice. Maybe music classes were going to be part of their post-traumatic-experiences-with-acromantulas therapy. The room of requirement could sometimes become a pretty god space to practice, but it was better to have a room dedicated to music. Was there a music teacher? Who was in charge of this space? She hadn’t heard about any music professors at the school.

Entering the room carrying her flute and music bag, Penelope looked around. Penelope had checked and double checked to make sure that she had everything she needed before coming here. She had her flute, flute cleaning rod and cloth, flute music, flute music, and piano music. That should be everything. Flute practice first, then piano. She found a music stand and a stool and set them up a few feet away from each other. Then she opened her flute case and took out the head joint and the body. Carefully sliding the head joint into the body, she adjusted it so that the head joint was pulled out about half a centimeter and the embouchure hole was lined up with the keys. Taking the foot joint from the case, she slid it into its place at the other end of the body. Penelope put her flute music on the music stand and sat on the stool. She would warm up with some long tones and octaves.

Cinna nodded, that did make sense. But playing the drums seem like a big responsibility. Especially if you were in a band. Like you'd be the backbone of the band. "In just seems like a big thing to be a drummer. Like super powers or something. Like with power comes great responsibility." Or was that just spiderman. She shrugged.

Oh that's right Dante was Nigel's brother? Brother right? So she bet he did know a lot of TDK songs. "Yeah I bet. Think you can do something now?" She wouldn't mind hearing him but if not she was going to try it out.

Nemo wanted to see this music room. He had a Piano at home he knew how to play. His mother had forced him to take lessons as a boy and He never really liked it. But for the first time in a long time he felt homesick and wanted to be back in his home playing his Piano, maybe watching Whytty dance..

Sigh

But he wasn't. He was at Hogwarts. So the Lion took a seat and started to play around. His eyes were closed, in his own zone. Mozart did that to him sometimes.

Dante shrugged. He had no idea. He thought that each band member was just as important. Though maybe the guy who wrote the lyrics was a tad more because those are the songs. But whatever.Well since he was bored and she was asking him why not.

"Sure i guess i take a whack at it since i am here and all."


So Dante went and sat down and gave it a good old hogwarts try. He decided on the drum bits for Aparecium, Aparecium. Since he knew that song best and all. But he was pretty terrible. But at least it wasnt just random noise. At least he thought so.

"See Terrible. But it was fun"

Dante admitted, again shrugging.

Colt was busy exploring Hogwarts and all the floors when he heard some music coming out of a room. He furrowed his brows and he didn't even hear of this room. I guess Kace forgot to mention this room. He told him everything about Hogwarts but I guess there was a few surprises. As he opened the door, he noticed this room was huge. He saw students were already experimenting. He had his eyes on the drum set, but he saw someone near the piano. He furrowed his brows and wondered who he was. I mean Colt knew how to play the piano because his mother made him take lessons.

He also went to a muggle elementary school and they let you explore all of the instruments. He was always keen on the bigger ones like the piano and the drums. He saw a dude was in the zone and had his eyes closed. He was getting really into the music. He didn't wanna bother him and he went to the piano and cracked his fingers and began to play hot cross buns. I guess he still had it in him.

Nemo opened his eyes, feeling a little bummed out about being here. It was still months, then he heard someone playing 'Hot Cross buns' and had the feeling that it must be Cassius cause who else would be playing something so silly.

The seventh year turned his head to look at the source of the music. It was a younger boy. How much younger, Nemo wasn't sure. But whatever. The point is the kid interrupted him. But he wouldn't be rude. Whyttyr made him want to be nicer, so did Damien. So maybe he'd try it. "Hi.. What's your name?" He didn't smile, smiling at a random person is weird, but he was trying to be friendly. Which was...weird.

As Colt was busy getting his piano gears in check, he must have gotten the dude out of his trance and he heard him ask his name. He nodded and said, "Colt. Colt Winchester. My bad man I was trying to see if I lost my piano playing skills. Apparently not if I could play hot cross buns." he shrugged and still began playing and once he was finished playing it, he forgot to ask about his name. "What's your name?" he asked being polite. "And do you wanna play man?" he gestured towards the piano. He didn't wanna seem like he was hogging it.

Music. Noelle heard it. It was coming from somewhere....
She was determined to find it. Her papa played the guitar at home and just hearing the music made her homesick. She had to go look. She had to be nosy. She ahd to see who was playing what.
She had to feel like she was home.. even if it was just for a tad.

She was on the fifth floor. She would have to remember that. Hogwarts was so big!! It was hard to remember where everything was! Of course, they were given a map but really... were you expected to take it everywhere you went? Noelle walked a little farther until she found where the noise was coming from.

Peeking into the room, her smile grew BIG. There were students in there. Playing was being done. Music was being made. Noelle sighed in pleasure and did a little excited dance as she stood there listening. Oh, she felt a little bit at home with the music!

Nemo nodded back and offered his hand for a handshake. "Nice to meet you Colt. I'm Nemo Grimm.. I don't think i've seen you 'round before?" There were a ton of new students so it wasn't like there was a shortage of people Nemo hadn't seen before. Or that there were people who came in last term that he'd paid much mind to with Whyttyr being around.

"Oh, no... i was just thinking about my Piano at home and it made me a little homesick.." Nemo laughed just a little, quietly and to himself really. Cause he could remember never wanting to be in that house. Now it was all he wanted.

"Aww, man..." The 11-year old scratched his head. He got lost. He was just spending the rest of his day dawdling about the Hogwarts castle. Riding the staircases just to find out where they led, and now he was just...lost. He had to find a way to get to the Ground floor because that was where the Kitchen their common room was. But before that...

Hmm. Music. He could hear music somewhere... It sounded like it was coming from that room over there. Yep. He stepped closer and the music got louder. Definitely inside. They had a music room in the castle?! How cool was that? He didn't know how to play any musical instrument in particular but he was good with dancing. Truth. Despite his size, his mama made sure he got the moves. Ahem.

So he pulled the door open and stepped inside. Whooaaaa...students were making those sounds. What a talented bunch. It made him want to jiggle his baby fats! He started with headnodding though as he moved forward then....OH! whoooa eeeep OOPS! A small creature girl had crashed into him. Or did he crash into her? He wasn't sure. "I'm sorry!" Did he cause any serious damage? He hoped not.

Noelle felt like dancing! She was already moving a tad to the music as they played. She wanted to burst into the room and start dancing in the middle of everyone, but there were a lot of older looking students in there and she didn't want to bombard anyone. Sure, she saw her new protector (Cinna in there talking, but she wasn't about to go interrupt her.

Ahhhh heck. She could do what she wanted! Those older years would have to put up with her! She took a step to go walking into the room when she felt someone bump into her. She went sprawling into the music room. "Oof!" she sputtered and looked to see who it was that so rudely ran /into her/. Oh. It was another firstie. Firsties had to stick together! At least.... She thought it was another first year. He certainly was small enough. And he was apologizing. "Its okay. I'm quite clumsy myself. I don't know how many times I've done that myself." She stated. She grinned at the boy and put her hand out for him to help her up. I mean, it was only polite!

He was soooooooooo sorry. He just didn't see her. It wasn't really his fault that she was so small. Riiiight? Right? Ugh. It was his fault. He should have been careful. Was she going to yell at him and call him a half-giant and disturb the pace of the music playing in the room? He didn't want that. Nooooo! And she was dooooown. Eeek. She was looking up...and saying it was okay. Hooray! She was not mad. Even admitting that she was clumsy. So true. Seeing her outstretched hand, Owen quickly pulled on it to keep her up. She weighed next to nothing! "Still, I'm sorry. I hope you're not hurt or anything." He returned her grin and let go of her hand. "This is a pretty cool place, huh?"
