Norah bounced from foot to foot with a thousand-watt grin already in place as she waited and waited and WAITED for the rest of her housemates to show up. She'd had to run as fast as her legs could take her to get there early but that didn't matter, 'cause she'd trained her whole entire life for this moment. Well, the whole entire summer....for running but y'know this moment was probably going to turn out to be loads more important than another one of her races. This had CHOCOLATE and COZY THINGS. What more could you need?

Puffers. She also needed Puffers. Were they gonna GET HERE or what? She'd been waiting her for a whole five seconds already and she still hadn't given or received any hugs. Tragic, that's what this was. Checking to make sure her Prefect's bag was still nice and shiny, Norah inched closer and closer to the cauldron cakes with her eyes still fixed on the entrance to the common room. Eight whole seconds passed. What a lonely life this was.

Bound, bound, BOUND!

In bounded the over happy, always excited full of energy seventh year. Oooh, looked like he was early, with the exception of Norah. Ah, well. There was FOOD there to occupy his time, yeah? And hopefully his co- prefect wouldn't mind him.

"Noraaaah!'' For no reason at all the Puffer gave her a great, big squish before turning his attention to the deliciousness that lurked there. All the chocolate things were there. Yaaaay! "Nice set up, don't you think?'' He gestured at the garden and food. Wasting no more time, Adi snagged a cup of hot chocolate.

Now. Where those other Puffs be at? Especially his baby badgers.

"Nice!"Henric exclaimed as he made his way to the common area. He noticed there were pots of plants everywhere in here, they looked pretty amazing! Annnd...ohhh....sugary things! Just like Adi, Henric wasted no time grabbing as many goodies in his hands before stuffing them inside his pockets. Hey..they were free, he couldn't resist free stuff. Heheh.

He waved to his house double-trouble prefects, Adi and Norah. "Hello hello again! Are we playing icebreaker games?"he asked eagerly.

Did he hear music? Noel had all the plans to head straight to bed and let the little ones linger and gush over things but - did he hear music?!?!

Curiosity taking the best of him, the sixth year made his way over to where the party was happening. Grinning from ear to ear, Noel went straight to the large gramophone. He had been ecstatic knowing Moxley was the head of house but this - this was just epic. Where was she??? He needed to congratulate her, yes.

Seeing Adi, Henric, Norah - Noel waved and tore himself away from the gramophone. "This is pretty neat, huh?" he commented, grabbing one of the cauldron cakes.

"Hey man! Yup, very neat. Really cool to have a mini garden in here too," Henric grinned and took a seat on one of the beanbags available in there. He unwrapped whatever sweets in his hands and dumped it all inside his mouth."Disishderrrlifeee" Chew.Chew.Chew. Swallowed.

"Can we have a day off tomorrow...no classes and such for once..."he muttered, leaning back into his beanbag more and more, sighing.

Okay, no baby badgers arriving as yet. Instead Adi got two almost fully grown badgers, Henric and Noel. He was moving his head in time with the music now, pausing only to sip his hot chocolate or take a bite of cauldron cake.

"Henny! There's pumpkin pasties here!'' Oh, wait... He wasn't going to let his friend get them THAT easily. Quickly he non verbally cast a Disillusionment Charm on the stack of pasties Good luck finding them, Henny.

He took a big chunk out of the Cake he held, chewed then swallowed. "Noeeeeel! This kind of music interest you?'' Adi had not missed how the boy had made his way promptly to the gramophone.

"Hellooooooo, badgers!" Moxley entered the common room after making a quick stop to grab her badger hat from her office and was wearing it proudly as she took in the scene around her. The prefects seemed to be a good job entertaining so far and the brunette sent a legendary Moxley smile their way before approaching the hot chocolate.

After pouring herself a mugful and adding some delectable mini marhsmallows, the muggle studies professor cleared her throat. "For those of you who don't know, I'm Meredith Moxley! I'm your muggle studies professor-fascinating subject, by the way-and your new head of house! I do hope everyone is happy to be here because I know I am." She just hoped none of these kiddos were likely to perish on her watch. Hufflepuffs, y'know? And the Moxinator was having none of that so they needed to stick together this term and look after each other. Speaking of looking after...Cosgrach should be here any minute.

Noel hadn't even noticed the garden until Henric mentioned it. "Oh wow, that is really cool" he commented before laughing as Henric started eating. Taking a bite of his own cake, he turned to Adi. "Yep! I have a huge collection of records and I am wondering if professor Moxley will let me play it"

And speaking of - Noel smiled wide when professor Moxley appeared. Noel might have also made some noise of appreciation from the background when she did.

"CONGRATULATIONS PROFESSOR!" the boy called out when she finished talking. "EXCELLENT SET UP BY THE WAY"

Just when Norah was pretty sure her brains were going to come out of her hairbraids if she had to wait a second longer when Adi showed up. YAAAAAAAY! PERSON. HI PERSON. He was apparently one step ahead of her because he was already pulling her into a big hug, which she didn't resist for even a second 'cause her last hug had been all the way back on the train. Squishes were definitely overdue. She had needs, okay? Hugs were very important. "It's so so so so SO cool!" It really really was. A garden and everything. Man. "This is going to be the bestest term ever, I feel it in my BONES." She'd never really understood that expression 'cause bones didn't really have feelings, which was kind of weird to think about because she had a whole lot of bones AND a whole lot of feelings at the same exact time. Words were weird, especially when you thought about them too much. Double weird.

The fifth year was glad for the distraction of Henric and Noel showing up before she got TOO confused, and gave each of them a salute and a grin as they passed. Noel With the Pretty Face and Henric Who Wanted to Break Ice. Okay. Okay cool. This was exciting, right? RIGHT. She paused before turning to join her housemates to remind her cheeks for the bazillionth time that they weren't supposed to go red no matter how pretty people's faces were. They seemed to get worse at listening with every day that passed. What was with that, huh? She was a STUDENT LEADER now, she couldn't afford disobedient cheeks, nuh uh. No way. Definitely not allowed. Norah squished her cheeks together with the palms of her hands before taking two springy steps over to the rest of the students.

"D'ya have symphonies and stuff TOO?" Noel With the Pretty Face was ALSO Noel With the Records. Who KNEW. Classical music was the bestest thing, perfect for the bestest term. Did those even come on records? Records were practically a million years old, but her very favorite music stuff was too so maybe they did! She tried to keep from wiggling excitedly but gave in to the feeling after about two seconds. She deserved it, okay? It was a good reward for her cheeks only going a little pinker than they normally do. Even cheeks listened to real live Prefect Authority.

AND MOXLEY WAS HERE TOO. AAAAYYYY! Norah left her cauldron cake on the table and threw her hands in the air. "PROFESSOR!" Whoops. "I mean, um, hi!! I'm so so so excited this is awesome you're awesome everything is awesome you're going to be such an awesome head of house and everything looks AWESOME." SO awesome she couldn't even handle it. Could she tell?

Norah seemed to look at them funny. Why was her face turning pink? He couldn't help glancing down at himself, did his stomach/abs he had been working on over the summer show or something? Nope. All good. He continued chewing lazily on a piece of gummy worms.

Then,Henric sat up so quickly at the mention of pumpkin pies! He almost toppled out of his beanbag...merlin!"What! Where?" He rushed over to the snack table again in search of his favourite pies in the whole wide world of pies."Adi, where is it? I can't see it, you're better not be lying Rehman!" Sniff. Sniff. He could smell that familiar pumpkiness lingering goodness from here....mhmmm. Weird. They were sooo close...he could actually taste it.

While Noel talked about records and such, he was still trying to find his beloved pumpkin pastries. He even looked under the table for goodness sake. Sighing, he turned around when he heard their Head of House spoke to them from behind. Woah...

"Uh nice hat, Professor Moxley..."he couldn't help remarked on it.

Henry did his best to follow the prefects to the common room from the Great Hall after the feast, but he couldn't help himself from dawdling a little as he looked around. It really was a lot to take in now that he was here and he wanted to see everything even if he knew that most of that could wait till later. He wasn't too far behind though, so at least he could find his way. But he'd have to really learn that wand tapping sequence to enter since he really couldn't see so well from where he had been.

Once inside, he hung back just a bit to take in the sight of the common room for a moment. So this is where he'd likely spend most of his time the next seven years. Awesome! Something about it made him feel like he really belonged there. Looking around, he caught sight of some of the Hufflepuffs he had met earlier at their table, as well as an adult person he thought might be their head of house, but he wasn't sure where to stand just then, most of them already engaged in conversation. Where was Owen and Remy?

He wasn't all that hungry, having had his fill at the feast, so he declined the treats, though he thought he might not mind a cup of hot chocolate. Snagging one for himself, he blew lightly across the top before taking a sip and wandered closer to the crowd of fellow badgers.

Cosgrach already had a Hufflepuff scarf over his shoulders, and he just went to his office to change the colour of his robe into yellow and black. It took him several times Gotta show some spirit, eh?

HEHEHE.

Except... Moxley was already there when he entered the room, with MORE spirit than himself. The badger hat was plain cool, and he was JEALOUS of it. Would she swap his scarf with it? Yes?

"HELLO EVERYONE!" he exclaimed a moment later with a biiiiiig grin, "How are y'all doin'?" They all knew who he was, or so he thought, and since he missed Moxley's introduction, it didn't occur to him to talk about himself. They also already knew he was the ASSISTANT thanks to Botros' announcement, so...

The dessert?

Oh, a party?

Paulina was slightly surprised as she stepped into the common room to see a small gathering. A woman was speaking, and she got a good look at her because she was to be her Head of House during the term. "I like your hat," she said shyly before turning slightly pink.

There was also a man present, but she had no idea who he was. Clearly he was also a professor and he seemed rather nice. "Hello, Sir. I am doing well. How are you?" Would it be rude of her to ask his name? Because she really didn't know many people at the school yet staff or otherwise. She did remember that the woman was Professor Moxley.

Looking around the room, she spotted a few of the people she had seen during the feast. Henry got a small smile. "Hello," she told him. "Hello to you too, Adi" she added. Someone was talking to him so she didn't know if she was intruding or not.

Hogwarts was such a huge, awesome place. Owen was so fascinated with everything his eyes managed to land on. But the most awesome thing was that their common room was indeed near the Kitchen! He had huuuuuuuge plans already. He might make a visit there once he was settled in and all. But as for now, he fell in step with his fellow badgers into their common room where a small gathering was taking place.

Ahhhhh. Such a cozy place. They even had a garden!

And would you look at that! They have more food here. So awesoooooome. He grabbed some marshmallows on one hand and a cup of hot chocolate on another. Sip, sip, sip. Sooooo yum! He even sighed in satisfaction.

Professors! There were Professors. "Hello, Professors!" A hot choco toast, maa'm, sir? Owen sent a beam their way before settling himself down next to the pretty (Paulina) from the feast earlier. He smiled at her.

Adi LOVED it when his hugs were not resisted and returned with such gusto. He just wanted to keep squishing this little bundle of energy. But then he was laughing. Not at Norah but in approval of her excitement. "I sure hope Moxley keeps this setting for the entire term.'' What a GREAT change of scenery this was! Awhhh, wasn't Norah positively ADORABLE?! "Very sensitive bones you've got there,'' he joked. "I know what you mean though! I'm looking forward to everything!''

Ohhh, fascinating! Noel was into old school stuff. Though Adi wasn't, he was pleased that there were persons still using the gramophone. "What kind of records do you have?'' he asked curiously. Admittedly, he didn't know that much about Noel's likes and dislikes but that would be changing a bit now.

Adi sniggered to himself the second the pumpkin pasties blended in with the surroundings and just in time for the arrival of his new Head of House... 3.0 this time. "Professor Head of House 3.0!'' Haha. He had to let her know about her title, yes? "Congratulations on being our Head!'' Though he still didn't get why the usual Head of House appointment tradition had been broken. Anyway... they had gotten CULLODEN too! NOBODY was happier about this than Adi. Speaking of Culloden... "Hello, Professor! Looking great in Hufflepuff colours! I think they suit you better than silver and green.'' Cue the wink!

OH DEAR HIPPOGRIFFS! The seventh year started laughing at Henric as he nearly fell out of where he was seated. He couldn't answer his friend because he was laughing THAT badly but he was able to watch all that Henric was doing. Oh, gosh! Was Henric trying to sniff out the pasties now? Annnnd there went the fifth year... under the table. Poor Adi... he now had a stitch in his side. "Henny,'' he said FINALLY. "You just need to look. Do you want to borrow my glasses?"

Was one of his baby badgers by himself? Certainly NOT! Adi lightly grabbed Henry by the shoulder, steering him towards the other Puffers. "What do you think of the common room and the Barrels, Henry?" Details, details! Hehe. Oh! There were Paulina and Owen! Soooo, where was Remy then? Probably joining them soon, he hoped. "Hey, Polly! Want a cracker?" Oh Merlin! Him and his big mouth! Adi shot the girl an apologetic look. "Sorry. When I'm extra happy, I blurt out things without thinking.'' Awkwaaaard. Thank goodness for Owen! "Big guy!'' He clamped Owen on his meaty shoulders. "Did you see the painting of the fruit bowl on your way here? That would be where the kitchen is hidden.''

A warm reception from the badgers wasn't all that surprising but it was appreciated all the same and Moxley's smile only grew in size as she watched the students react to the common room and the presence of herself and Cosgrach, who'd since arrived. He was looking Huffleperfect. If only she'd brought a camera for the occasion...Ah well! There was food and that was most important, anyway!

That Noel Wallace was an enthusiastic one, wasn't he? Kid had the blondest hair she'd seen, too, and she was sooo tempted to ruffle it. So tempted! Lucky for him, a mugful of hot chocolate and a cauldron cake were currently making this impossible. "Why thank you, Mr. Wallace! I'm glad you like it!" The badgers were an earthy bunch so the plants seemed like a fitting addition to the space.

Norah Kittredge was the cutest little thing and Moxley just wanted to shrink her down and put her in a little box on her desk so she could open it up and hear all the ridiculously adorable things the red head was saying when she needed a pick-me-up. She wouldn't do this, of course, mostly because she wanted to keep her job and suspected the girl would be missed, but she was thinking it. Dream big, Moxley. "Thank you and I believe congratulations is in order, Prefect Kittredge! You wear the badge well!" Great addition to any outfit, surely. "I trust you're ready to inspire the bunch. Err...group...clan?" What was a group of badgers called again? Eh, Norah surely knew what she meant!

Oh good, they were noticing the hat! That meant she was fitting in, yes? "Why thank you, Henric! You can borrow it any time you like." Because it was obviously every fifth year boy's dream to walk around with a cutesy badger hat on his head. "You too, of course!" She extended the offer to Paulina with a smile.

Noting one of the tinier badgers being awfully quiet, the muggle studies professor sidled over and clinked her mug of hot chocolate gently against his. "Welcome to Hufflepuff, Mr. Whittebrook!" She'd seen the sorting. Of course she had. The brunette always liked seeing the kids' expressions as the hat did its thing.

Mr. Montezor, another new member of the badger family, got an enthusiastic wave from Moxley when he greeted the professors. "Hello! Hope you're enjoying your hot chocolate!" It was extra chocolaty by request in hopes that sugared up Hufflepuffs would be more likely to accept a lion and a snake into their home with open hearts and minds.

"Thank you, Prefect Rehman!" She could always count on a positive attitude from Adi and Moxley appreciated such things more than she could say. He was a good prefect, she thought.

Heading over to Culloden, the nudged him gently. "So far, so good, don't you think?" She paused to sip her hot chocolate and then added, "Should we start with some ice breakers now?"

Pop!

Toddles hears things in kitchens yes Toddles does. Toddles bring snackies to studenties. Toddles sees many studenties. Toddles nods and moves little feetsies towards foods and fills up bowls. Toddles is a goods elfs.

Professor maa'm Moxley was talking to him. She was so pretty up close. Unlike when he saw her at the feast where she was so far and earlier because he was too preoccupied with the mallows and all he could really see was just her badger headpiece. Oh hersheys. It was making him blush for some reason. She was waving too! More bluuuuuuuuuuushing! "Y-Yes, Professor maa'm. I am. It's very...yummy! And very chocolate-y...." And she was so pretty and Owen was too shy so he turned his attention to his cup of hot choco. Tried to, at least.

THANK GOODNESS for Prefects who had good timing to save him from humiliation at all the blushing going on. What was even Adi and the other pretty talking about? He had no idea. All he an idea on was that he knew where the Kitchen was! Adi said so. The fruit bowl painting. Yes yes yes, he saw! Whoopy! "Really????? Is the painting a door? Do I knock on it?" He had to ask. Because at Hogwarts, you just never know.

Sipping some more from his cup of hot choco, Owen looked up just in time to see a creature filling up the bowls of treats. Cue internal flail! "HOUSE EEEELF!" There goes some pointing and excited grin!squeal!beam. Excited Owen was...excited.

Noel raised a brow at the salute Norah gave them - but then couldn't help and match her grin. She was a cute oddball, wasn't she? And she was also the house prefect now. He approved.

Speaking of Prefects, Noel turned to Adi and his question - "There is my personal collection, and then there is a huge wrock record collection of my mum and godparents, who were in a band as well, so I guess I have a little bit of everything," he replied, smiling and picking up a hot cup of hot cocoa for himself.

Noel heard Moxley congratulate Norah, and he chimed in as well. "Congrats!" he smiled and raised his cup as a toast. He was sure the oddball was going to do well. And as for her question ... he shook his head, "I do but ... not a lot. Symphonies are not really my thing"

Still eager to know if his musical preference would be allowed in the common room - now that they had a gramophone and all, Noel stepped nearer to Professor Moxley, "Professor, do you think - I can play play some stuff on it?" he asked, pointing at the beauty.

When Professor Cosgrach appeared, Noel beamed. He had absolutely LOVED the Potions OWL. And he had gotten an 'O'. So yes, he was ecstatic that he was now involved with hufflepuff. "Hi professor," Noel waved with his free hand. Could he gush and thank him for passing him in Potions?

And then there were the first years. He had wanted to talk to them at the feast but then he had gotten distracted. He remembered two faces of course (Henry, Owen) "Fellas! Liking it so far?" the sixteen year stepped closer to them. They needed to have a talk, yes. Hopefully Noel wouldn't get distracted.

There was also a new older face (Paulina) - one he hadn't seen at the feast. Passing a smile to her, Noel greeted and introduced himself: "Hey there, I am Noel Wallace"

Brian took a while to get there - possibly because he was a bit busy talking to EVERYONE - but he was here now. And the REAL BEST PART of the back-to-school thing could begin! HUGS ALL AROUND. EVERYONE. SNUGGLES.

"PROFESSORS! I love the knitted stuff!" Yes, Professors Moxley and Culloden. That was for both of you because Brian Woods had too much excitement to consider making separate statements about both. Potions dude in a Hufflepuff scarf was nearly enough to send his brain into overdrive, and PROFESSOR CUTE PERSON WHOSE SUBJECT HE WASN'T SURE OF'S HAT WAS EVEN CUTER OMG COULD HE HOLD IT? OR WEAR IT? His brain was pretty much on capslock now, yup.

AND CANDY. CANDY. Was anyone else seeing this? CANDY E V E R Y W H E R E. It sure looked like Hufflepuff was the place to beeeeee!

OH AND ADI WAS HERE ALREADY. "ADI! Hi! It's been a LONG summer without Hufflepuff." Great! He probably got here early and all that, but Brian decided that the feast wasn't enough time to see his favourite prefect - oh that wasn't fair anymore. Norah was prefect too. Favourite male prefect, then - so he LAUNCHED HIMSELF at the older boy and grinned. Hugs were good, possibly the best part of Hufflepuff. Maybe they should rename themselves Hugglepuff. That sounded accurate. It wasn't like Puffers were all huffy and hoity toity. Nah, Hufflepuff was about hugs and frolicking in the bacon fields.

Mmmmm bacon.

Were those cauldron cakes his nose smelled? Mmmmm cauldron cakes. Cue starry eyes. Oh, he really did miss Hogwarts.

Well, well, well! Didn't Noel have quite an interesting family! "So, does this mean you have intentions of forming a band, too? Might need someone to carry on the tradition.'' Then Adi could say he has a friend who's in a band! Hehe.

Adi grinned happily at Moxley. Did the food enthusiast Hufflepuffs realise they had gotten a food enthusiast leader? Hehe. "No problem, Professor. You hat... I see you love being a Puffer already.'' He really liked how she was showing her Badger pride.

Owen? Why was he all red? "You alright, big guy? Hot chocolate too hot?" Maybe he burnt his tongue or something. Cue Adi's concern for his precious baby badger! But the topic of the entrance to the Kitchen! "Yes, it is! You need to tickle the pear in the painting. It will turn into a knob so that you can go in." Into that awesome food haven.

That POPing sound! The Hufflepuff spun around to see Toddles, the House elf. Cue his SUPER excitement! And it seemed he wasn't the only one... Owen was too! "Want to meet him, Owen?'' The prefect headed over to the Elf. "Hiya, Toddles! Thanks for refilling our food! Oh, this is Owen. He's pretty excited about seeing you.''

WHEEE! Someone was SHOUTING his name! Adi did not even have to turn to see who it was. BRIAN! Ickle Brian. "Heeeey! Yep, it certainly was! But we're here for an entire year!'' Though this would be his last year But then... woah! He was being tackled! "Attack of the rabid badger, attack of the rabid badger!" Hehe. "Just kidding!'' Without further ado, he SQUISHED Brian. Gosh, he was going to miss hugging and hanging with his badgers. He titled his head at the look on Brian's face. "What's up, kiddo? The music make you want to dance or something?''

Norah beamed and puffed her chest out as far as it would go. The badge DID look good on her, right? Even if she wasn't sure why she'd gotten it in the first place. And probably didn't deserve it at all because Prefects were supposed to be the very best and the very smartest like Sophie Brown. Except she wasn't Sophie Brown, she was Norah Kittredge who was much too interested in all the things to be able to sit and read a book for too long. Wait. No. She was BEAMING, that was a HAPPY face, which meant HAPPY thoughts, duh. Plus Professor Moxley had said she wore it well and she was a professor so obviously she knew best. So there. "Inspiring's my middle name, Professor," she said with an nod. See how official she was being? SEE? Even if she wasn't the very smartest she could still be the best at pretending.

And Noel was congratulating her TOO. Oh man. Her cheeks were never going to listen to her now. That wasn't even FAIR, compliments should be against the rules. Norah gave him an uncharacteristically quiet "Thank you," and busied herself with tugging at her plait for a moment before taking a giant bite of her cauldron cake. Casual. Tooootally casual. "Aw man. Symphonies are my very favorites. With all the instruments and stuff? Tooooooo good." She'd just have to show him all the best ones some time, uh huh. That was a noble cause for sure.

Leader or not, she couldn't hold back a giggle when Professor Culloden said 'y'all.' Heheheh. Y'ALL. That just sounded funny. She gave him an enthusiastic wave. "Those are really nice colors, sir." Heheheheh. Y'all. The excited boy from the feast (Owen) was there TOO, but seeing as she didn't know his name yet she flounced over to help herself to some hot chocolate and give him another big ol' badger welcome. "I don't think I heard your name before." EXCITEMENT of the feast, y'know? "I'm still Norah." PREFECT NORAH.

She spotted Brian who got a big beam and a wave as Norah turned, hot chocolate and all, to greet another firstie she'd met at the feast. Focusing her grin on Henry now, she asked, "What do you think of the common room? Is it as fabulous as you imagined?" Obviously he had to have imagined good things. Hufflepuff was the place to BE.

An older girl whose name... he didn't know. Whose face looked pretty unfamiliar, either. And being Cosgrach Culloden meant he wasn't ashamed of STARING at her outright. It took him a few seconds to really make sure he didn't know her, so he said "Professor Culloden. Teaching potions." Did she take the subject?


A... first year?

A first year... or so he thought...

"Hello," he said back and smiled. Good to see he'd already begun enjoying himself.


Cosgrach chukled at what Adi said. "I might get used to them for a while." Y'know, since at least this year he was going to see a lot of these colours...

Would you believe that? It was mature Norah who was laughing... not so maturely. Still, the man grinned and waved back.

Merlin whose idea was it to give her the badge?


Ah, someone BEAMED at him!

Cosgrach beamec BACK and waved as well. "Hello, Noel!" he called back just as enthusiastically, because OF COURSE he knew the boy got an 'O'. What an achievement for BOTH of them!


Did he? The man grinned at him. "Glad you approve," he said with a big grin, "and glad it's a well knitted scarf." Y'know, didn't want to disappoint his new house now with a terrible scarf.


"Mhmm!" he said as he examined the cauldron cakes from afar, "they're all excited." Which was really brilliant. Cosgrach hadn't expected SUCH a positive response!

"And I think we should," he said, then without waiting for her, covered the short distance between himself and the sweets, grabbed a cake and sat down on the floor.

"Mer, skipping our first question. Obviously their favourite subject is potions and that's because I'm awesome. So everyone tell your favourite spot in the castle and why if you wanna."

Why was he staring at her like that? Had she done anything wrong? Said anything wrong?

Paulina wanted to hide behind Adi, but she felt that as a Seventh Year it wouldn't be a good thing. Besides, he was a Professor so it wasn't as if she wasn't going to be seeing him around. So there she was wanting a way out but not being able to take it. She let out a small gulp. "Nice to meet you, Professor Culloden? I'm Paulina. I like potions." Yeeeah, wasn't her favourite like Herbology, but she was okay with it so long as she didn't blow anything up.

At least Professor Moxley wasn't staring at her like that. And she was offering to let her wear her hat. Awww. Paulina thought that was very kind of her. "Thank you. I promise to be a good Hufflepuff and take care of it if I do." Just letting her Head of House know that she tried her best to be reliable.

A younger Puff (Owen) took a seat beside her and offered her a smile. He seemed to be nice. "Hello," she said to him shyly before Adi interrupted with a comment. Polly want a cracker? Whuuut? It took a moment for her to register what he said before giving a laugh. "I didn't know you were a comedian." Good one. She didn't mind it one bit; as long as it was well intended, there was nothing wrong with humor.

The boy who introduced himself as Noel also got a smile. "Hello, I am Paulina Holiday." He seemed to be about the same age as her, maybe a year younger. It was nice to see people in her age range though of course she liked younger people so long as they were nice and made her feel at ease. Paulina didn't like feeling uncomfortable and shied away at the first sign of intimidation - such as a Professor staring at her.

Barely registering the little house elf, Paulina's attention snapped back to the Professors as it seemed that they were going to be answering questions. Could she just not? What if some of the stuff asked was personal? Would she get into trouble? She thought not, but one could never be sure. Maybe she would just stick to the more general ones until she felt a little more comfortable. "My favourite spot is the greenhouses, because I love Herbology. It's my favourite class." Yep, she loved plants.
