| | |  Gobstones Championship Match: Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors open against the late April morning warmth. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Tanner and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's championship match.
The green and yellow marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Slytherin and Hufflepuff Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

Mr Kitridge walked down from the castle enjoying the warmth coming from the setting spring april morning sun. Tiara had gone on ahead earlier to set things up in the gobstone's building and dust out the cob webs. When Leo entered Gobstone's building he only had to turn on the lights and fetch the marbles for the teams and make sure everything looked in order for the last match of the season.
Several minutes later the teams had assembled so Leo put his wand to his mouth to enhance his whistle to get the players attention as well as the spectators filling up the viewing area. "Good morning and welcome to the Gobstones club, today's our championship game of the season, I hope you're all as excited and geared up as I am." Not waiting for any responses Leo quickly signalled for the teams to choose their representatives for the first shot of the game.
"Let's begin!"

Oliver and Adi headed out for a match between the just starting first year and graduating seventh year. Both boys swung their shooters and kicked their stones forward in the court. The green marble picked up pace as it rounded the first few obstacles but then it swerved heavily to the right and out to the far side. The yellow marble surpassed its opponent and one more obstacle before it stopped to win the point.
"First point of the championship match goes to Hufflepuff!" Leo declared.

Adi remained on the court for the badgers while the snakes switch in Hady Lynch. The two players swung their shooters and watched their marbles speed off. The green marble rounded a few obstacles before it without warning stopped and sprouted out a shower of gob in the direction of the team benches. The yellow marble surpassed its opponent and 5 more obstacles before it stopped.
"2 points to Hufflepuff!" Leo declared wrinking his nose against the foul smell.

The Rehman-Lynch rivalry was bound to come to a head at some point. And this roll felt different for some reason, but not just because Tiara had come to relieve Leobald for awhile. Both shooters took there places once more around the Gobstones circle and released their marbles, waiting with breath held to see the outcome. Finally the Slytherin stone was victorious. "And Slytherin is on the board!" she exclaimed with gusto.
