When you direct your attention to the large table hovering about two or three feet off the ground, you would definitely be drawn to it by the array of colours. You didn’t even need to look too close to notice said hovering table was in the familiar shape of the Hogwarts crest, the School’s mascots could be seen slightly among the dishes that had been piled there. These dishes had been prepared by the wonderful House Elves of Hogwarts and overseen by your hardworking Prefects. Do remember to say ‘thank you’ to the elves at least after you’ve sank your teeth into all the delicious things!
So, what can you fill those stomach with you may ask? All the British foods were Hogwarts themed. For example: there were Bedfordshire Clangers shaped like Salazar Slytherin’s face, dumplings in the shape of badgers and lions, various cheeses cut out to look like diadems and eagles. Beef wellingtons, Cornish pasties, Stottie cakes and cottage pies were among the other foods that also took various Founder related shapes.
Have a sweet tooth? There are lots of sweet dishes too! They’re all all British treats, of course and are all in the colours of the Hogwarts Houses. Red, green and yellow apple pies, canary yellow custard and blue pound cakes are just a few of those filling the 'sweet' side of the table.
Towards the far end of the table are various beverages, again in the four main colours. Come on! What are you waiting for? Grab a plate of deliciousness and a drink then have a seat on one of the comfy chairs in the various House colours set up close by the table. You know you want to! There are also matching tables that may come in handy when you want to set that piled plate down as you chat with a friend!
Paul waddled over to the food because the man was S T A R V I N G. He patted his tutu and peered around to see what the heckle he even WANTED. Hmm. The tie that was...tied around his head was flapping in his face entirely too much, Merlin.
School spirit!
He grabbed a plate and began to spoon food onto it. His eyes were always bigger than his stomach...it was a problem. He had a full plate and he most likely wouldn't want it all, either. AND HE HAD TO SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT? HMPH. No one was here yet? Odd. Food places usually crowded so quickly.

The seventh year snagged one of the Gryffindor themed dumplings, trying it out. "They do realize this is dangerous....right?" he teased the badger once he had chewed and swallowed the yummy bite. The sweets especially had to be calling the other boy's name.

"I thought I'd show my house a little pride!"RAVENCLAW FOREVER. Ahem. "I enjoy your converses, m'dear! Nice and red!" He was sure he had a good many pairs of converses back home..and only a few here. Paul had SO MANY clothes back home, actually. Only a fourth of his wardrobe had made it here. "Will you come try to dunk me later, then?" He smirked. "Tis why I wore the wet suit! Because I'll be getting drenched!"

But Benzi's supposed to be here too. I reckon they put him to watch over me.'' Hahaha. Jokes. Adi was totally kidding. He watched Benny snag some dumplings. "Wasting no time in getting fatter, I see," he teased, this being one of the couple's jokes.

Benzi had been through many difficult moments in his life, loss and heartbreak and just generally lots of unpleasantness, and he has decided that today would join that list of bad days. Why? Because today was the day he had been subjected to the horror of having to SET UP FOOD WITHOUT EATING IT. Such CRUELTY.
Barely surviving, he was now here after making sure all the other stations were in order - prefects are a team, Hogwarts unity, WHOOP WHOOP - and already trying to come up with a plan of attack on the food when other people arrived and he had to pay them attention.
Walking over from the far side of the station, Benzi grinned at everyone, only faltering slightly at the Herbology professor's get up. Well. "Adi mate, I think they put us both here to watch each other," Benzi said as a way of announcing himself, walking over to nod at the Hufflepuff prefect and his friend. Boyfriend? Boyfriend. Did everyone know this already, was he the last person to find out? Oh well. He had enough gossip of his own to deal with.
He then turned to Myers with an amused smile and a raised brow. "You used to be a Ravenclaw professor? Or is the colour choice a coincidence?"

It's kinda weird to see a man wore a tutu. Well, even she'd never worn one (and would never be!) in her life. Maybe when she was little but Ava didn't really remember.
"Thank you, sir!" She said as the Professor complimented her converse. She had so many pairs of it and usually she wore the black one to the class. "I bet you used to be a Ravenclaw when you were a student?" Since he wore blue horrible tutu skirt and blue wet suit... She was gonna ask why on earth he had to wear the wet suit, but then the man explained that he's one of the Professors that participated on the dunk! "Oh, let's see...." The young lioness smirked.
Somebody said hello to them, oh there's Adi and his friend... correction, boyfriend. "Hi Adi!" She gave a high five to the Puff prefect and a small nod to Benny. "You want some pie?" She offered. And then the Ravenclaw prefect came and she smiled at him. "So, the prefects organized this? It's soooooooo awesome!"

Paul thought his tutu was quite aligned with the idea of SPIRIT here. Yes! And the tie wrapped around his forehead, too. He felt absolutely silly and LOVED IT.
He waved at Adi and smiled. "Thanks, Adi! You too! You look...puffered out!" he laughed for a very long time at that. Paul thought himself so funny! He really was. Milton would have said it was a terrible joke, and not funny at ALL, but Paul pfffft at that!
Paul turned to peer at Benzi. "Yes! I was a Ravenclaw. Hence the...blue--" he gestured at his entire outfit. He knew....some people would not think he was a Ravenclaw. But the professor just...didn't see himself in any other house?! Ravenclaw FOREVER.
He began to eat, sort of politely since students were around, and nodded over at Ava. "Yes, I was a Ravenclaw." He wouldn't mention being good at like, MOST of the subjects right now. Quite conceited, if you asked him. "Was always good at Herbology..." Obviously! He didn't think he'd even visited the Ravenclaw common room, though...mostly because he totally thought he wasn't allowed! Heh.
Back to Benzi and Adi. "Both of you--well done! This is all very cheerful and full of spirit!" he clapped a little at them. "I hope you all enjoy yourselves. AND dunk ME in the trunk." Why was he wanting people dunk him?! Didn't one usually avoid this? NOT PAUL. He totally thought it was fun. And funny.
And also there was a Mr. Atreyu! Had he heard correctly? Were Benny and Adi dating? That was a very interesting...thing! Plus, he figured he shouldn't be able to keep up with student drama. He was only the professor.

The dunk tank was super fun, but Cassie was super hungry so she made her way to the food table hoping the remembered she couldn't eat the meats like everyone else. Goodness she could just feel the sadness looking at it at the dinner table most days.
Looking at the table she smiled seeing a few things she could eat. Yeah they remembered her! The prefects were just so sweet like that though. Avoiding the instinct to jump at the sweets first she knew she had to eat a little healthier so she picked up a few things before looking up and seeing others around.
"Hello everyone, are we having fun?" It was such a lovely day and a lovely event she couldn't see how anyone could be sad or disappointed!

Leo hadn't volunteered to be dunked in water by the students but that didn't mean that he wasn't going to go down and join in the prefect event. It was a lovely day outside and it was a shame to spoil it by being cooped up all day in the castle if he didn't have to. Leaving a notice of where he was Leo made a quick stop in his office to grab a hat in the form of eagle before he headed down towards the lake.
Minutes later Leo entered the event spotting his girlfriend by the food station. At least Cassie didn't look wet which probably meant that she hadn't been dunked just yet. Approaching the food table with his eagle hat slightly askew he beamed as he looked around."Hello everyone, perfect day for a prefect spirit festival don't you think?"
Moving over to stand next to Cassie he asked "How's the food tasting? Anything i should try eating?"

Hmm that did make some sense. Adi had behaved at the end of term event last year. And Christmas. But the added mention of a fellow prefect made some more sense. "Ah....yes...a watchdog," Benny teased with a chuckle. Though he honestly didn't know his fellow Ben and Ravenclaw prefect all that much to judge if it would help. And now the tease was on him, the fat jokes continuing all in good fun. "Well I have to keep my energy up." A weak, hungry dragon lion was no good at anything.
Ah, there was the other prefect for this station. And it seemed like Benzi was to be watched by Adi in return. Oh boy. "Better just leave enough for the rest of us," he remarked at the announcing comment, teasing the two of them. The Gryffindor taking some fruit and cheeses to nosh on.
He caught that nod from the first year whom Adi had said hello to. Ava...her name was. Benny didn't know how the other boy managed to keep everyone and their names straight. But then that's why Adi was the friendly badger and he was more the shy reserved lion. "No thanks," he answered politely at her offer. He'd stick with what he'd already grabbed for now.
Perhaps his greeted hadn't be heard. For as Professor Myers responded to Adi beside him as well as Ava and Benzi, he seemed to be disconnecte-- nope there was look in his direction. At least he thought so for no words were spoken. However another professor was speaking up, thankfully being her more usual bubbly self. "Hello Professor Morgan... so far I have," he answered her question. The librarian was not too far behind also greeting everyone in the immediate vicinity which included himself. "Hello Mr. Kitridge. It is a nice day indeed," he remarked in response.

THERE was his fellow Prefect! Adi grinned at Benzi. "Hey, dude! I really dunno what they were thinking. I thought the food would have been a goner while we were setting it up because of the way you were looking at it." You know, like the Claw wanted to devour it all? "I shouldn't even be talking. I wanted to do the same.'' Ha. That was soooo true!
A high five! Adi loved those! And fist bumps too. He raised his hand hiiiiigh above Ava so that she would not reach him for a split second before lowering it to a more appropriate height for her. "Sure! Just don't dump it on my face, Missy!'' Hehe. The seventh year had his eyes on you, Ava. "Yep, we did! The things we do for you guys,'' he teased. "Thanks! I sure am glad you think so.'' It was nice to hear that thought.
Hurhur! Professor Myers was funny as he was talented with the banjo. "Thanks! What inspired the tutu?'' Adi was curious, man! He didn't find it weird, he just found it funny. Myers definitely stuck out here at the event. No one was ever going to forget this. Haha.
Annnnd there was one of his favourite Professors! ''HI, Professor Cassie! Yep, I know I am.'' Uh, Adi hadn't checked out the other activities since he had gotten here but he would be soon. That ball pit looked so good to dive in. Mhmm. But not long after that Mr K joined them. Did he have a Cassie radar or something? Maybe they had just agreed to meet over here. Anyway... "Hi, Mr K! You need to try everything! It's all good.''
That got a laugh out of Adi. A watchdog... "Yep, gotta make sure this Griff stays in line.'' He continued to eye the boyfriend. "Oh, gee, I wonder whatever for,'' he teased with a smirk. "Nice ears, by the way. You should have asked me to transfigure some real ones on you.'' Human transfiguration was one of the best things ever! And the long sleeved shirt definitely did not go unnoticed which got another smirk out of the Hufflepuff. It sure came in handy to cover certain things up. "Hey! I'm not the one pigging out.'' He laughed again as Benny reached for cheeses. "Share some of that cheese.'' Of course Adi could easily take some for himself but he was hoping Benny would feed him. Or was the Liondragon too shy because they were surrounded by so many persons?

Due to various family and personal issues, Jenna hadn't been at Hogwarts since before the Christmas holidays. She'd been tempted to just remain home and do the rest of her fourth year homework there for the rest of the term, but....it was kind of lonely just being at home with just her uncle helping her keep up with her work and keeping her on track with other things. So it seemed like a good idea to finish out the rest of her term here.
Only now that she was actually here, it felt really overwhelming. She'd forgotten just how many people were at this school and it made her want to just go somewhere to be alone again for awhile.
But...she was here...and a little bit hungry...and it felt like everyone would probably notice her leaving early by herself and would see her as weird and whatever....and that seemed somehow worse than staying for a little bit longer, even if she just stood on the sidelines.
So she gravitated over to a semi-empty area of the food table and looked over all the options.
Erm...were there any vegetarian options?

"YOU GUUUUUYS," she whined to the general crowd gathered at the food station as she ran from the dunk tank to them. "Moxley is in the dunk tank and NO ONE HAS DUNKED HER. SHE'S SO SAD THAT NO ONE LOVES HER. SAVE A LIFE, DUNK THE MOXINATOR."
... "AND BRING SOME FOOD WITH YOU, SHE MIGHT BE HUNGRY." Because Soph was currently gathering as much food as she could pile onto two plates, but she couldn't guarantee it would all get back to the professor. She was a growing eighteen-year-old, okay? She needed her food, TOO.
As quickly as the Head Girl had come, she was gone, helping herself to some Ravenclaw blue pound cake as she went.

Noelle had worked up an appetite at the bounce house and the ball pit.
Her hair was a mess and staticky but she wasn't fixing it. She would be right back in that bouncy house as soon as she ate something.
Noelle glanced around the table, looking to see what all they had. She wasn't picky. She noticed a girl looking around at the table too. Noelle smiled at her. "Is there a line or can we just get anything whenever we want?"
Noelle had to ask because the girl was here before her. It was only polite.
Besides, she hadn't decided what she wanted but she preferred anything.

Okay.... So TECHNICALLY he was still on duty. TECHNICALLY.
But they had two Prefects to every station... And well, Puck could handle herself for fifteen minutes... So TECHNICALLY this was going to be Zander's break. They got breaks, right? Because he did not get payed enough to work full time.
Wait a second. He didn't get payed for this at all.
So YES, he was going to take his break now. And maybe it was jut better if Puck didn't know... So he shiftily escaped from the Walk of Fame station and made his way over to... FOOD. Where he would spend the next seven minutes stealing away lots of Gryffindor cookies.
Which would leave approximately eight minutes to run over to the Dunk Tank and soak Professor Flamsteed, before he had to run back to his own station. Solid. And if anyone asked, he was just checking the cookies to make sure they were up to Hogwarts standards.
Mhm. That's merely all he was doing here... Checking the cookies. Whilst stuffing his face with them. Prefecting was a lot to work up an appetite, mmmkay?

Hmm that did make some sense. Adi had behaved at the end of term event last year. And Christmas. But the added mention of a fellow prefect made some more sense. "Ah....yes...a watchdog," Benny teased with a chuckle. Though he honestly didn't know his fellow Ben and Ravenclaw prefect all that much to judge if it would help. And now the tease was on him, the fat jokes continuing all in good fun. "Well I have to keep my energy up." A weak, hungry dragon lion was no good at anything.
Ah, there was the other prefect for this station. And it seemed like Benzi was to be watched by Adi in return. Oh boy. "Better just leave enough for the rest of us," he remarked at the announcing comment, teasing the two of them. The Gryffindor taking some fruit and cheeses to nosh on.
He caught that nod from the first year whom Adi had said hello to. Ava...her name was. Benny didn't know how the other boy managed to keep everyone and their names straight. But then that's why Adi was the friendly badger and he was more the shy reserved lion. "No thanks," he answered politely at her offer. He'd stick with what he'd already grabbed for now.
Perhaps his greeted hadn't be heard. For as Professor Myers responded to Adi beside him as well as Ava and Benzi, he seemed to be disconnecte-- nope there was look in his direction. At least he thought so for no words were spoken. However another professor was speaking up, thankfully being her more usual bubbly self. "Hello Professor Morgan... so far I have," he answered her question. The librarian was not too far behind also greeting everyone in the immediate vicinity which included himself. "Hello Mr. Kitridge. It is a nice day indeed," he remarked in response.

That ball pit looked so good to dive in. Mhmm. But not long after that Mr K joined them. Did he have a Cassie radar or something? Maybe they had just agreed to meet over here. Anyway... "Hi, Mr K! You need to try everything! It's all good.''
That got a laugh out of Adi. A watchdog... "Yep, gotta make sure this Griff stays in line.'' He continued to eye the boyfriend. "Oh, gee, I wonder whatever for,'' he teased with a smirk. "Nice ears, by the way. You should have asked me to transfigure some real ones on you.'' Human transfiguration was one of the best things ever! And the long sleeved shirt definitely did not go unnoticed which got another smirk out of the Hufflepuff. It sure came in handy to cover certain things up. "Hey! I'm not the one pigging out.'' He laughed again as Benny reached for cheeses. "Share some of that cheese.'' Of course Adi could easily take some for himself but he was hoping Benny would feed him. Or was the Liondragon too shy because they were surrounded by so many persons?
Looking at the food still trying to decide if her plate was full she heard his voice and smiled before looking up. "Very nice day. You should have come over to the dunk tank. It would have been your perfect opportunity to throw a ball at me and send me into cold water." She laughed knowing he would never have done that.
Oh he was asking her about the food, "Well I'm not sure, but we can tell you once we've tried things." She looked around at the students maybe they could give him some recommendations. "The sweets all look very good though." Still she was trying to stick with the food food first.
"Very good to hear Benny!" She beamed at the seventh year. This was mostly for them like every year she felt. It was great for the entire school, but had more meaning to the ones not returning next year. Their last prefect event. "Have you been to the bounce house or dunk tank yet? They have some great Professors just waiting to be soaked." She chuckled glad she wasn't there at the moment, but she would probably be going back soon. [b] "Hello Adi, how are you doing?"
She picked up a cracker and cheese and began to munch a bit listening to the conversations around her.

But he loaded a plate with things that were Slytherin themed. It was a little weird that Salazar Slytherin's face was looking at him from his food, but oh well.
He moved down the table to the deserts and nearly ran into someone. Wasn't that Head Boy Zander Adair? Ellery didn't like him. Neither did Rooney but Olly did not care what that boy thought of anything. Olly stopped for a moment and just looked up at him.
"Are you supposed to be here?" Didn't each of the prefects have their own station to watch. Zander Adair here was just eating food. Olly did not think that was his job.

Professor Myers was a Ravenclaw. Well.... She thought that man was a Hufflepuff. "Oh, no surprise that you become a Herbolofgy Professor." The younger lioness nodded to the man. "So, what food that I need to try though?" Because all of them looked delicious, she was satisfied with the pie and she wanted to eat something more. "Hello to you too, Mr. K and Professor Cassie!" Ava greeted both. Hehehe. Of course she knew that they're not just co-workers. "Yes, I am. How about you? Enjoy the festival so far?" She asked.
Turned to Benny and Adi, she tried to reach Adi's hand but she couldn't because HE PUT HIS HAND TOO HIGH AND SHE WAS SHORT, OKAY???!!! "It's not fair!" Ava then throw light punch to his shoulder. "Nah, I'm not gonna throw it to you. It's too delicious to be thrown at you."
Oh look! She spotted the Head Boy there. Ava couldn't help but giggle when she spotted Zander. Absentmindedly she gave a small wave and smiled to him. Ugh, why she felt her cheeks warm? And WHY it always happened every time she saw Zander Adair?

Timmy almost dashed for the food station. Since she began dancing again, her appetite was never satisfied again. The blonde had forgotten what it was like to eat plenty and then work it all off later, and becoming hungry again. Picking out some things, mostly desserts, Timmy looked around and didn't spot anyone she knew yet. Besides the professors but do they really count in the first place? Plus, the smallish blonde wanted to get to the dunk tank soon; Culloden was there and she would just love dunking him in and all. At least this way, she wouldn't be able to get detention.

"Me....?" Benny looked outright innocent. "Must have confused me with Zander or something," he remarked with a touch of jest. His fellow seventh year had seemed a touch bored at his own location...he wouldn't put it past him to do something to liven it up or just escape the boredom. At Adi's own remark, he elbowed his boyfriend for it and the smirk that accompanied it. No making comments like that in mixed company...people might get the wrong idea.
"Thanks," he said, chuckling at the suggestion. "Nope....these are just fine with me." Even if the tail wasn't quite as expressive as the ones he got in his transfiguration adventures. As for the pigging out remark, if Adi wanted some of his cheese, he was going to have to work for it. As in...the piece he held was being held up while the plate was behind his back.
Okay so maybe Sophie was to be the one to cause excitement.
Huh? In the area one moment...said a few things loudly for their attention . Something about Professor Moxley and the dunk tank...and food...and was out again.
And would you look at that...Zander was not too far behind though the Head Boy was clearly more into the food than getting their attention. Now was he trying to be a leader and overseeing stuff...or just out for some goodies. Surely they weren't locked into position all day. They had to be able to enjoy the event too after all their planning.
But his attention was drawn back to Professor Cassie. "Not yet," he answered truthfully. "Probably head there next." If Adi could spare him for some fun. Or come along if he could be spared like Zander and Sophie had apparently been for however brief they had away from their posts.
It's quite obvious you are at the Food Station. There's food, drinks, and wonderful company. What else could you possibly need?

Assembling at the Food Station is the Hogwarts Frog Choir. The Head Toad ribbitts as a signal to commence. All at once, the other toads, being held by the choir members, commence a rhythmic ribbitting, and the Choir start singing the song you should all know well;

Yes, he was shoving cookies into his mouth. But he was HUNGRY, okay? And he deserved a break. How come they hadn't gone over breaks during planning? That was a very vital piece of information Zander Adair seemed to be missing here... Though, uh, they probably did go over breaks.. And maybe Zander Adair just neglected to listen to that part... But who could blame him, okay? Prefect meetings always got real long and real boring. Especially during planning periods. At least he showed up, okay? Even if maybe all of him didn't... ahem. Not important now though.
What was important was eating as many cookies as he could before he stopped his self-proclaimed break and went back to-- Ah. A curious firstie. How wonderful.

Zander Adair was doing a very good job of laying low, okay? Aheeeem. Whilst the kid (no doubt) took time to think on that lol or not, Zander reached over to grab something else off the table in the mean time. As he went to grab a piece of pound cake, he caught sight of young Ava Burton waving at him. Though the pink in her cheeks always confused the older boy, Zander sent her a warm smile and a big wave. "Hey, Ava! Having fun?" He called over... Er so much for staying low.
Right.
And there was Benny. Surely the boy would keep quiet about the fact that this wasn't the Head Boy's work station. There was some level of trust between dormmates... RIGHT, BENNY????

It was a valid question he thought considering that NEWT's weren't that far away and then the end of the year feast and everything that that entitled.

Where Benny was Adi was in close proximity. Those best mates had as good a radar for were the other one was as Leo had when it came to Cassie. He ran his eyes over the food selection before he commented to the badger prefect with a blink. "Hello Adi, I think if I try everything I potentially might get a little sick. It's a lot of food you guys have set up. Even if it all looks delicious. Who came up with the idea of having a bounce house?" It certainly brought back some pleasant childhood memories.

Shaking his head Leo said in response to Cassie. "If I had been able to come down sooner I might have thrown a water ball or two but not at you. I'd have aimed for Cossy or Airey." He knew it was a harmless event but still he wouldn't have been comfortable throwing a water ball at Cassie that potentially could have injured her. It was just not his style. "Wasn't the water super cold?" He asked as he grabbed a plate and started to pile up a few dumplings on it. "Sweets is dessert. You need food things first." It was sensible.

Leo had just stuffed his mouth full of a dumpling and was about to point out that they were delicious to Cassie when a choir of frogs marched into the food station and started to sing the school song in their small frog voices. It made Leo smile warm up as he commented to those closest. "I didn't know the school had a frog choir. They are quite good."
