It's the weekend, it's breakfast time, it's not winter. What more reason to get up and climb down with your housemates and Head of House to the Black Lake where this year's very first outdoor breakfast gathering is set up. Students and staff alike are in their casual clothes (heavy because autumn) enjoying the golden, leafy grounds of Hogwarts in this picnic. Having fun and relaxing is mandatory today, do not bring homework, do not insue drama, and most importantly do not throw rubbish in the Lake's waters the merpeople might be floating a little too shallow.
The breakfast bar is set on a handmade wooden floor and it's led primarily by Professor Abraham Botros and the house-elves. There's bacon, eggs, pancakes, buttermilk biscuits, jam 'n cheese (and other) sandwiches, muffins and other delicious breakfast traditionals. Breakfast is only the start of this picnic, we recommend you power up now. So get in your order and enjoy with your friends and teachers.
Note: breakfast starts today at 10:00 AM, don't be too late!

Marsha was so excited. And Hungry. Excited and hungry, but mostly excited. SO excited in fact that she had put on one of her excercise outfits so that she could properly run from the courtyard around the castle and down to the lake. She loved the feeling of the wind on her face and it was a lovely morning for a run… Well, second run as she had already gone running that morning with a few of her friends.
”Good morning, Headmaster Botros.” She called out as she slowed her running down. She didn’t want to run into any of the tables after all. Smiling, she waved to the house elves as well, and looked out for Toddles, she hadn’t seen him since the Gryffindor party on the first night back. ”How are you today Sir? This looks amazing.” Lots of smiles from the Gryfffindor Lioness… who looked like she had walked there instead of running.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Breakfast not in the Great Hall but on the Grounds? Did they do this often here or was this just a one time thing? Yoongi had left the castle at 9:50 am precisely and walked slowly to the place where breakfast would be served today.
It didn't take long before his nose caught the smell of food lingering in the air and the Gryffindor inhaled deeply. And then his stomach growled. He smiled as he told it to wait a bit longer and continued his walk. When he arrived, Yoongi noticed that he was perhaps a bit early? But better early than late.
Allthough it was a bit cold because of the autumn breeze, Yoongi had charmed his clothes so that they stayed heated at a comfortable temperature.
"Good morning, Headmaster" he greeted the old man with a smile. "Nice idea , breakfast outdoor. It looks really good" It was something different for a change.He turned to look at the food and then spotted "Marsha!" he waved at the fellow Gryffindor.

Breakfast event!!!
Well, who didn't love breakfast? Ava LOOOOOOOOVES breakfast very much. She couldn't resist of the fluffy pancake with butter and syrup, scrambled eggs and bacon, also the tea.... NOMNOMNOM... Even she salivated when she imagined all of them.
Wrapping herself with grey jumper and Gryffindor scarf, the young lioness skipped to the ground with the excited feeling. Maybe it's a little bit colder today but who cares? There's food to warm her up here. "Hellooo Headmaster Botros!" Ava greeted the old man. "Hey guys!" She also greeted the fellow lions, Marsha and Yoongi.

Aldous was intrigued by the notice he saw in the common room's notice board. The headmaster was holding a breakfast and some kind of gathering. Cool and not something he would have expected. So at exactly 10 in the morning the first-year was at the black lake.
As he approached he saw that a couple of other students were there already plus the headmaster. "Good morning, Headmaster," He greeted the old man. "This looks delicious," Food was the best thing Aldous was enjoying in his new life. His father needed to come taste what real food was like. And he did wish that his father was here to enjoy all this with him.
Aldous scanned the faces trying to find someone he knew but did not find any. Maybe he should wait or go say hi to someone? They looked like they knew each other well and he did not want to intrude. Maybe he should busy himself with FOOD!
Hmm. What to eat firs?!

Norah had gotten up extra early to make sure that her debut as a prefect at a big ginormous school event was perfect. Well, as close to perfect as it could be, 'cause everyone knew that besides Sophie Brown perfection wasn't even real. With her hands shoved in the pockets of her pea coat, she half-walked half-skipped down the sloping lawns to the lake, holding her face up to the cool air which was doing that crisp thing it always did during fall. That crisp thing was the BEST thing, uh huh. She looked at her wrist to check her watch before realizing she hadn't even worn a watch. Well. The small number of students already gathered was tiny enough that it couldn't be that far after 10, yeah? She was ON TIME. Imagine that.
And that was a big fancy breakfast. Holy Guacamole. "Hi Professor Botros!" Her former head of house got a big smile and a wave as she joined the queue behind a couple of firsties.

Adi was not going to be late to this! Nuh uh! There was already a small gathering there of students and there were House elves and Botros too. "Hey, guys!'' HIIIII, EVERYONE! There was one hyper, hungry badger here now. Hehe. Marsha got an extra special hello and a hug of course. His little, bitty sister "You look nice,'' he told her.
But look at the food! Eeeep! It all looked so good!
‘Was that bacon?!’ The smell wafting on the cool morning breeze was tantalizing. It smelled so..well, breakfasty. Sabbath’s stomach rumbled “yeah, yeah, keep your shirt on, I’ll check it out”, he replied to it rather ridiculously in his mind. He took the steps two at time and crossed the lawn to the breakfast bar. He could see the Headmaster and a few house-elves, he wondered if he might even run into Tippen again. “Goodmorning Headmaster Botros, I hope you're well on this beautiful morning” Sabbath said to the headmaster.
Sabbath scanned the breakfast bar, he could see bacon, eggs, pancakes, bikkies, jam and cheese and more. He was definitely going to stick around.
He glanced next at the few students who’d already arrived. Most he'd never met before, but he recognised the girl (Ava) who he’d witnessed earlier placing biting teacups on the Slytherin table in the great hall. He’d also been there when the cups had bitten two Slytherins, but her secret was safe with him. He’d not told a soul.
Then he spotted Aldous checking out the food - wise man. Sabbath made his way over "Hey, How are you doing? Not a bad spread they've got here, hey?" he said.
It was a promise of a nice late autumn day that met the dark mop haired librarian as he headed out of the castle for this morning's event and breakfast by the lake. Leo wore comfortable clothes and shoes on the off chance that he'd do more than just eat breakfast with the students. As he got closer and closer to the breakfast bar his stomach started to growl telling him that he was really hungry. A cup of coffee and a croissant to keep him going until 10 am hadn't exactly eased the hunger Leo was feeling.
Taking his place in the breakfast line that was forming in front of the bar behind a number of students, Leo called out to the boss cheerily. "Good morning Headmaster!" Peering over the students heads at the food he hoped that the students would save some pancakes for him.

"And I said 'what about Breakfast at Tiffany's?' She said 'I think I....remember the film.' As I recall I think we both kinda liked it. And I said 'well that's the one thing we've got.'" Okay, technically the song wasn't actually about breakfast. But that didn't stop Heather from singing it all the way down from the dorm.
And, of course, her first stop this morning was the food. Breakfast shindig, duh. Where else would you go? Swimming? "Morning, Headmaster." Wait. What was the Headmaster doing serving breakfast?

Breakfast.
His favourite meal of the day. If it was a good one, anyway. Rooney's stomach had been making noises since he had opened his eyes at 6:30 that morning. By 6:45, he had been dressed and sat in the common room with a book until it was time for him to go down to the grounds. Not alone, of course. He'd picked up a fellow Ravenclaw on the way, or more so..he'd just followed her a little bit and then sped up to walk alongside her when they had gotten to the stairs. He liked her smile, that was why. It was gentle, and Miss Sophie Brown (of Hogwarts) shared a dorm with her so she was one of the luckiest people to exist.
Putting a hand in his pocket when they reached the outdoors and checking that his notebook was still in the back of his trousers using his other hand, Rooney smiled up at the seventh year as wide as he could. "Anything you're hoping is served, Miss Reagan?"
Candice was not planning to go to the Breakfast thingy because they might just serve foods that she couldn't eat like sugary stuffs or meats. But she's pretty curious about why the Headmaster want to do this Breakfast thing in the first place. So with that thought, she leaved the comfort of her bed and made her way down to the lake.
When she arrived, some people already there. What time did this people wake up in the morning? "Good Morning, Headmaster Botros. How are you?" She greeted the Headmaster with a polite nod. And was that a Chef hat he was wearing? "Nice hat, Sir!" She didn't know Botros could cook. She looked around and saw some of her housemate were already there, she gave each of them a 'Hello' nod. OH. And looked its the Librarian. "Hello, Mr. Kitridge." Another polite nod for Mr. Librarian. And Adi was there too. Of course he was. Mr. Hufflepuff Prefect. And no Hello for him just a hair flip.

Reagan was really hoping that the "EGG"-bit of the picnic's name was figurative; though, that was wishful thinking. There would be animal byproducts...and she would just have to suck it up. It wasn't like a house activity or lesson, in that the whole school would be out here today. And Rea would've been absolutely upset with herself if she'd missed it. No matter what her personal views and beliefs were. It wouldn't be all about the food, anyway. It was clearly a bonding experience. So, that was something to focus on.
Also, she'd had an escort! So, there was no turning back past a certain point...ooooor Rooney would've thought her a crazy person, maybe. Gosh, and he was being SO CUTE, too. Rea could've squished him.
"I'm hoping for lots of fresh fruit." Reaching down to grasp one of his smaller hands, since that was something Reagans did, she BEAMED. It helped to put more emphasis on the positive aspects; and...he'd called her MISS REAGAN. These kids always made her gush at them. She couldn't with their cute. "What about you, Rooney? What are your favorite breakfast foods?"
...and she was willing to queue with him. This was a big deal, okay?!

Cosgrach didn't bring homework, didn't insue drama, and most importantly didn't plan to throw rubbish in the Lake's waters. So could he enjoy this breakfast? YESSIR. The mention of food automatically made the man happy, and the fact that they would EAT it made his mouth water. Of course, he was up early that day and after getting dressed quickly, he ran walked to the breakfast quickly.
There were already a few people, but it didn't matter. He nodded at anyone who looked at him, and focused on the food. Unless directly someone talked to him, he would just wait for the food impatiently and try to ignore his empty stomach.

Breakfast? Yessssss. Davie was SO hungry! The messy-haired Ravenclaw skipped down to the lake and picked up a plate, all set to start loading up on food. Once his brain was fed, he would be able to figure out the point of the camps they were supposed to have this term. And why they needed them. And how many grandkids did professor Botros have, because he looked like such a soft and squishy and old and experienced grandpa. Important questions, all of 'em.
Anywaaaaay! Davie piled an egg and croissant sandwich on his plate, some bacon, and some fruit on the side. FOOD. Food was good. All the camps should have this kind of spread, yo.

Colt got up this morning and was in his usual routine, he got up and went down to the great hall except today the breakfast was outside? Well this was new and it was a gorgeous day outside. As he walked outside and had to squint his eyes to adjust to the sunlight, he saw other students were here too. Well he didn't see why not because the food was wafting all over the grounds, this made his stomach grumble. He didn't realize how hungry he actually was. He saw the headmaster it seemed near the front of the table. He might as well go introduce himself personally. Colt walked over and cleared his throat and began, "Hello headmaster. The name is Colt Winchester." he held out his hand for a handshake. This was instinct, his father taught him the handshake. "The breakfast looks awesome." he said eyeing all the food. He seemed busy talking so he made his way over to the buffet and helped himself.
He began to look around and see if anyone he knew was there. He saw a familiar face and walked over to Candice."Hey. Isn't this breakfast insane? I mean they have every food imaginable." I mean look at his plate. "Did you wanna sit somewhere?"

A red flush crept into his cheeks as the older girl took his hand and he could only smile at her and try to contain his bug eyes whilst she talked. The talking was good, it gave him a chance to say something and take his mind off of the hand holding thing. Would Miss Sophie Brown be upset if she saw his hand in another persons? In her friends? He couldn't think about upsetting Miss Sophie Brown if he even tried, it would probably bring him to tears. Prickling tears. Oh no. "Mama makes mushroom toast squishies." They were just something they'd had since Brinlee was born and.. since Daddy Lachlan wasn't around.
...Daddy Lachlan? Or Lachlan? What was he supposed to call him? Hm?
That wasn't today's problem.
"What kinds of fruit do you like, Miss Reagan?" He liked the berry kind. And the orange kind. And the apple and banana and peach and plum kind. Mostly the berry kind. Berries on pancakes was the nicest thing to dream about, but mushroom toast squishies were the best thing.

Starving.
Hady was actually starving this morning. Not only had she woken up earlier but she had gone to sleep late the night before due to working on homework and practicing her wand work. Mainly it was charms and such that she was still trying to prefect but all in all it was tiring and frustrating since she hadn't gotten it yet. Either way though she was in a great mood as she made her way outside for the school Breakfast gathering thing.
As she got closer she could smell the scent of bacon and eggs drift her way on a light breeze making her quicken her step just a little. Hady cast her hazel eyes around taking in those that were already there, her hands tucked into the pockets of her gray sweats which probably didn't exactly go with the dark green tank top she was wearing. It was okay though since no one would see that do to the baggy black hoodie she had on it, on her feet were what some would call skater shoes. It wasn't about style today as she left her hair down around her face but comfort. And she was comfortable.
Now what to do first. Eat. Or talk to people. Hmm the choices.

Breakfast...outside.
Any food outside like this...was usually something reserved for prefect events or the occasional house party. But alas, one of the camps mentioned at the opening feast had arrived, complete with breakfast al fresco. As well as a little bit later than usual to allow more sleeping in if so desired. As such, Benny had come down for the weekend treat dressed warmer than usual as the outdoors had an autumnal nip in the air, the Gryffindor awake and ready to check it out for what it was worth.
Prof--Headmaster Botros was leading the house-elves in the food department, although he also noticed Mr. Kitridge and Professor Culloden there as well."Good morning," he greeted to each man in turn as he passed them. Not to mention the familiar faces of classmates. Adi of course had beat him to it, what with his attraction to food and proximity to the grounds. And then there was Norah the other badger prefect and Heather, and a good number of other housemates.
"Morning..." he greeted, siding up to the bestie as he debated what to go for foodwise.
Paul was in a sweatshirt, jogging pants, and some hardcore DAD tennis shoes. No, Paul was not the epitome of modern fashion, but he was comfortable. That's all a man like him needed, really. He wished it was hot enough to don a poncho, but alas.....too airy.
He had jogged here, was out of breath, and could smell the delicious food cooking. Leo was here! The librarian got a hardy wave from Paul, who was still trying to catch his breath. (Seriously, how far were the Greenhouses from here?!?! NOT TOO FAR!) And a few students caught his eye, like Mr. Truebridge and Reagan, his seaweed gathering buddy! He smiled and waved at both of them...
Merlin.
So many students!
But Paul was very excited. His smile showed as much.

Breakfast being the most important meal of the day meant that Moxley never missed it! Let's face it, the woman was FULL of energy and people such as that needed ALL the sustenance they could get. Missing breakfast simply wasn't an option and breakfast by the lake with the Hogwarts fam? She HAD to be there and with her Hufflepuff adopted family.
The Moxinator wasn't far behind Prefect Rehman and Prefect Kittredge, having lingered by the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room a bit to sip her coffee and shoo the younger ones down towards the lake. Once she was confindent they'd gotten a move on, she followed after.
”Good morning, Headmaster Botros.” She called out as she slowed her running down. She didn’t want to run into any of the tables after all. Smiling, she waved to the house elves as well, and looked out for Toddles, she hadn’t seen him since the Gryffindor party on the first night back. ”How are you today Sir? This looks amazing.” Lots of smiles from the Gryfffindor Lioness… who looked like she had walked there instead of running.
Botros was actually wearing his chef hat and flipping some toast off the grill, getting stacks and stacks of 'em ready for the hungry students. "'Morning, dear. I'm great, hope you're hungry." He flipped the spatula skillfully and the toast landed on the plate next to him. Mmmmmm, all this delicious smell was making him even more hungry.

Botros started making blueberry pancakes as another student approached his cooking area. He grinned widely at him, "Hullo, son. Good, here, take some blueberries." He handed him a handful of fresh fruits.

Another baby student. Aw. Look at them happy and excited to be here, Botros was glad they came up with an outdoor breakfast before winter stole all their outside time. "'Morning, son." He grabbed a plate with eggs, bacon and some peas and handed it to him. "There you go. Enjoy." No need to be too fussy, all breakfast food is delicious!

Botros waved back at Prefect Kitteredge. "Morning, dear, take your pick," he gestured at the toast sandwiches, waffles, scrambled eggs and bacon plates. All ready for them to grab and dig in.

Aww, wasn't he a precious little Snake? "Hello Winchester, hope you like it after you taste it, too." Botros let the young boy go help himself sending a warm smile after him.
Now, he focused again on grilling some more toast to make more different sandwiches. He was even humming some song he heard on the radio last night, he wasn't sure which band it was... probably Odessa's since their last album was weirdly catchy, even for his age. A lovely spatula!wave to Moxley, too. Lovely professor, he was so happy she was heading his favorite old house.

F O O O O O O O D!!
Phillip was mentally chanting the word as he made his way down towards the lake for this big outdoor breakfast. Was he hungry? OF COURSE HE WAS. It was why the first year was trying to squeeeeeeeze his way past some of the taller students who just DID NOT KNOW HOW TO WALK QUICKLY.
But before long, the Slytherin had approached the part of the grounds where the breakfast picnic was taking place and Merlin, did it smell DEE-LICIOUS! The boy even had to stop and take a deep, hopeful breath at the air. Amazing. Would mum get jealous if he wrote to her to tell her how great the food over here was? HMM?
The question was quickly driven out of his head by another one: Was the Headmaster a chef? Because LOOK at him in the chef's hat and flipping the toast. JUST LOOK. The boy approached him, a curious look on his face as he looked between the man and the food and back again. "Moooooooorning, Headmaster! Everything smells GOOD. I could certainly get used to THIS."
So, without further ado, Phillip started piling up his plate with food. Bacon, eggs, pancakes....... all of it was going ONTO this plate of his.
Dante was waiting on Maggie the whole way here and still did not know if she was coming or not. But whatever. He was here for the food and after that it was up to all the Professor's here to surprise him. He did not really enjoy going to big social events like this.
"What's Good Headmaster"
He even recognized the song he was humming. Did not take him for a fan. But the more you know. Next He saw Philip going to towards the food and that it was not like you had to wait till Botros said you could. He had been to formal dinners like that at home. He moved next to Phillip and basically bumped him out of the way so he could get some pancakes and bacon.
"Pass me some biscuits will ya"
He was going to feast.
