Moxley added a bit of sugar to the tea she'd already set in front of Cinnamon and then motioned for her to enjoy, as she was going to do the same. There was just something about a cup of tea that made the Moxinator feel all warm and fuzzy inside and it was a feeling she quite enjoyed. That feeling was only enhanced when you added company to the mix. Company that had food? Well, that was the ultimate combination.

"Don't mind if I do!" The brunette made a show of selecting a tasty treat and then she bit into it. "Mmmmmm!" Happy food-induced wiggling happened, followed by a very enthusiastic thumbs up by the muggle studies professor. "Amazing! So delicious, Ms. Bayless, really!" More nomming happened and a bit more tea was downed before Moxley got an idea.

"Y'know, I was thinking perhaps I could repay you for bringing me these delicious cinnamon rolls somehow. Tell me, how do you feel about getting your nails done? My daughter quite likes having hers painted and I do have quite a selection of muggle polishes! They dry pretty fast, too. What do you say?"

"Thank you, professor." She smiled and took the cup in her hand. Cinna preferred peppermint tea. Or cinnamon in her tea too. Sugar was great too. She had cinnamon rolls and having cinnamon in her tea would just be a cinnamon over load for Cinnamon. See too much Cinnamon. Taking a sip of the tea. Yummy. This tea would go great with the cinnamon rolls she bought. She was glad she decided to bring them to the muggle studies professor.

She laughed when professor Moxley say she didn't mind if she did. Of course not she was going to love them. She watched and waited for her reaction. As she expected the professor looooved it! She beamed. "Thank you. I'm sorta famous around here for them." Again no it wasn't because of her name either.

The sixth year was busy Nomming on her own cinnamon roll. Ohhh she wanted to paint her nails? Coolio. Professor Cassie had painted hers earlier this term and now Moxley wanted to. This was great getting nails painted for free by professors. "Oh my gosh. Wow. Yes. That sounds terrific. " She was so excited that she swallowed the rest of her cinnamon roll. She took a big gulp of her tea to get it to go down. "let's see what colors you got?" She smiled and got comfortable in the chair. This was going to be so much fun.

"Famous, huh? I'll be wanting an autograph before you leave this place, then!" Moxley grinned. Couldn't hurt to have if this Gryffindor went on to do big things some day, the way all Gryffindors should.

"I just so happen to have an amazing selection!" Collector of all the things, yeah? That meant Meredith Moxley had a great selection of all kinds of stuff, nail polishes included. Setting her cup down, the brunette got up from her seat and went to one of the many shelves in the room, selecting a small floral bag and returning with it.

Setting it down in front of Cinnamon, the brunette gestured for her to open it."Pretty sure I've got all the colors of the rainbow covered! Take your pick." Meanwhile, she'd help herself to another treat.

The sixth year just laughed, and nodded. "I will definitely get you an autograph." It wasn't the first time that Cinna give a professor her autograph. Professor Morgan had her autograph already and now professor Moxley wanted one. This was just too great. Did she want one now?

Cinna watched as the professor got up to get her nail paints. She couldn't wait to see all of the colors that Moxley had. Though she pretty much all ready had a color in mind. Yep. Her favorite color. Orange. If she had the selection that she said she did she'd have just the right shade of orange. "Thats a cute bag." It really was.

Cinna sat down her cup of tea and picked up the pretty floral bag. She opened it up and started looking though the bag. Wow. She really did have have every color. Many shades of each. There it was. Orange! "What about this one?" She pulled the bottle out of the bag and handled it to her. Beaming she was so excited.

She was going to take the girl's word for it, Moxley was. She'd select just the right muggle artifact and then have the Gryffindor sign her name, hopefully increasing its value in the future. Perhaps an oven mitt? Might be appropriate considering Cinnamon's talent in the kitchen! Hehe.

"Thank you! Just something I picked up on one of my shopping trips." And she took many of those, much to the horror of her husband. As for the orange, Moxley considered it before grinning. "I think orange suits you! Alright, let's see those hands." Meanwhile, the muggle studies professor took the bottle and gave it a good shake. That's how all the professionals did it, too.

Once the hands were in front of her, Moxley carefully began painting each nail. She wasn't horrible at this, mostly due to her daughter's love of pretty nails. Still, she certainly wasn't a pro.

"Why orange?"

"Nope," Toby replied with a smile of his own. "Actually, sorta the opposite."

But he left that cryptic little clue at that, becaaaauuuuuse it was time to enter the office. Toby was QUITE happy to hear that MOXLEY was happy that he was there, made him all smiley and everything because duhhhhhhh, hearing you made people happy was like the happiest happy thing in the whole wide world EVER, right? Exactly.

The Hufflepuff followed Professor Moxley into her office, instinctively looking around the room once he'd stepped inside. He'd obviously visited before, but the walls were lined with so many things that Toby was still seeing new things this time. It was a shame he would be leaving soon, in some ways, one of those way being that he'd have liked to have seen how long it would take to become accustomed with all the things in this office.

Before he could get too distracted by the various muggle artifacts (it was difficult; even though he'd been raised muggle, a lot of the items were interesting and new enough that he wanted to pick them up and play around with them), Toby turned to look at Moxley again. "I brought you something," he said to her, fiddling with the strap of his bag again. "If that's okay, I mean." Maybe some people didn't like gifts? Toby didn't know, but it felt polite to ask and make sure.

Moxley was curious but she figured if Mr. Fuller-Thompson wanted to elaborate, he would. So with her mind on clocks, and now-gifts, she took a seat and smiled at the Hufflepuff.

"It's more than okay!" The brunette loved gifts. She also loved the fact that students cared enough to get her gifts. Gosh, this popularity thing was the best ever! Wait until her daughter heard about how cool the kids here thought her mom was. NOT that she needed telling or anything.

Once Professor Moxley took a seat, Toby blinked and suddenly realised that HEY, he could do that TOO. He went ahead and sat in the seat he'd occupied last time it was in this office, shifting his school bag onto his lap and opening it up.

"I... well, I hope it's not broken now or anything," the Hufflepuff said uncertainly, eyeing the contents of the bag. He glanced up at the professor and said, by means of explanation, "I usually keep everything in my bag. Books, homework, notes, y'know? 'Cause I forget what classes I can and what I need, so it's easier to just... not unpack it."

Of course, that made it difficult to carry extra things. Honestly, though, it was super heavy at. all. times. Toby took a moment to wrestle something through from the bag now, freeing up a little space inside and causing the books inside to shift around a little. Now it was free, Toby lifted the loose paper wrapping he had around it, checking that the glass covering the face was still intact and the hands inside were still ticking away.

It was a clock. Nothing super duper amazingly special or anything, but something nice that Toby had noticed in the spare room of his grandma's house, and that he'd asked if he could take to give to someone. His grandma had, of course, obliged, and now here he was. Toby closed the wrapping back around it and held the gift out to Moxley, leaning and stretching that extra little bit to reach.

"I thought you might like to put it on your wall outside," he said. "Maybe. Or not, I mean. Even in a box or something, wherever, I mean..." Sigh. Toby. Shut up. Think, then talk. "..... I just thought it would be a nice thank you gift 'cause of how you let me read your comics and were real nice to me and that." Even though he'd been a total HARBINGER of SADNESS in that one class of hers last year, but Toby didn't say that part. It was implied.

Oh, Mr. Fuller-Thompson!" Moxley wiggled in her seat as she received the clock and removed the wrapping. She'd been gifted things before. Like, of course she had! As popular as she was, the brunette was practically swimming in gifts of adoration. It really was tough being so well liked. Still, no one had ever been quite this thoughtful and the muggle studies professor was touched by the gesture.

"I absolutely love it! This was so nice of you and it'll look so great alongside the other clocks and I just-" Moxley's eyes got all big and shining because emotions but she was going to pull herself together here, okay? Yes. Consider her pulled. "I appreciate this, Tobias. Thank you so much."

Toby always loved to give people gifts. Liked to watch their faces and their reactions when they opened them up and everything. There were some people, like Gabe, who he always figured felt a bit awkward opening gifts in front of people, so Toby was always willing to just leave presents for them to open away from his own prying eyes. But other than THAT, yeah, it was great. Way better than receiving gifts, in his opinion.

And today was no exception. Toby beamed at Moxley's reaction to the clock, nothing short of ecstatic that she seemed to love it so much. "I'm sooooo glad you like it," he said, bouncing his knees excitedly and fiddling with the strap of his school bag again on account of his energy. "I..." Wait. Was that... was she... Toby stalled for a moment, and bit at his inside of his lip. "Pleasedon'tcry," he mumbled, unsure if Moxley could hear him or if he even wanted her to hear him. BUT it was apparently like... HAPPY cry. And Toby could... yeah, he could deal with that. He thought so, anyway.

"It's alright, I mean, it's no problem. You're welcome, I mean... yeah, it's... yeah." Toby shrugged a shoulder and smiled again. "I think you're awesome and stuff, and a great professor, so y'know." Yeeeee.

Moxley was not crying. Moxley was simply leaking awesome from her eyes in the form of water. But like, she had it under control, okay? She had this. No reason to worry, tiny Hufflehuman. The Moxinator would live to fight another day, and with a new clock!

"And you, Mr. Fuller-Thompson, are a great student! If you ever need anything at all, you know where to find me. Moxley's got your back." Did the kids still say stuff like that? Err...well, whatever. Surely it still sounded cool because SHE was cool and hip and amazing so yeah. Yup.

Is there anything I can do for you? I've got some left over sweets from a recent visit with one of my students. How do you feel about chocolate?"

Toby wasn't generally one to blush, unless he was in a conversation about specific things, and he didn't do so now. But he DID often get all internally flaily when people said nice things about him. ESPECIALLY nice things regarding school. He grinned anyway and gave a shrug.

"I... thanks, I mean... yeah, thanks," the Hufflepuff replied, and though he didn't think he was such a great student, there was no doubt about it, Toby was definitely sitting a little straighter in his seat now. "That's super nice of you, Professor." And then his eyes shone. "I love chocolate. I love all sweets. All food. Anything with sugar, 'cept ice cream, I mean. But... yeah, chocolate is great!"

Awwww yis! Was she gonna share? 'Cause that was SUPER NICE of her if so!

There was a pause as Toby suddenly thought of something, and then quickly mentioned it before it escaped his memory again. "Actually, Professor. I wonder if you might be able to help me with this one thing..." It was worth asking, anyway, even if she couldn't help.

She was going to share, Toby! Moxley could be an excellent sharer, when she wanted. It really depended on the object she was required to share and seeing as she had a bunch of chocolate, she didn't mind at all.

Reaching into her desk drawer, the brunette pulled out a box of chocolates and opened the lid. She nudged it towards the Hufflepuff and then quickly added, "Don't worry! I had them tested for love potions! All these kiddos having crushes on me is adorable but you can never be too careful with food!" Cue classic Moxley grin.

"I can do my best. What is it you need help with?"

Toby couldn't help but watch as Moxley retrieved the box of sweeeeeet sugary goodness and set it on the desk. He looked up from them as she nudged them forward, looking entirely nonplussed at her next statement.

"Love... potions...?" the Hufflepuff replied, looking blank for a moment before automatically grinning right back and deciding to just... go with it, although he wasn't entirely sure what she was getting at. "Oh, right!"

Leaning forward, he reached out and took the first chocolate he looked at, not being all that picky. Of course, Toby did hope that it wouldn't have pineapple in it for whatever reason, because he didn't want to end up dying or anything. Still, he didn't want to ask or make a big deal out of it. AND ANYWAY! More important matters.

"Well, you see, the thing is..." Uhhh, right... hadn't quite worked out how to go about asking this and it was tempting to ramble on about every minor detail before getting to the main point. But Toby was getting better at NOT doing that, so he refrained. "Well, y'know Airey, yeah? Professor Airey. Well me and him both like pogo sticks and stuff, 'cause they're dead fun." And Moxley would no doubt know exactly what those are. "And last year he made this really cool pogo stick out of all these parts of appliances and stuff, but I think he had to take it apart again afterwards. So... I was thinking about giving him a gift of all sorts of muggle parts from things that he could use to build a new one. To keep. 'Cause I want to give him a gift before I graduate, to say thanks and that, y'know?" Wait... maybe Toby wasn't as good as not rambling as he thought. Drat. "But the thing is, I don't know how to get hold of anything 'cause I'm kinda stuck here and even when I go home I don't have access to anything and I don't think my dad would be very happy if I tried taking the house apart and-..."

Rambling. Again. Rambling.

"I was just wondering if you could get me get hold of some parts. Like... a big box of parts, maybe?"

Ahem. Yes. That was the crux of the matter. Oops. Toby smiled sheepishly and finally popped the chocolate into his mouth. Yes, good, shut up, Toby.

Did she know Airey! Meredith grinned at the boy, a grin that grew even wider when she heard his plan. He was a good egg, Toby was, and the fact that he'd taken a liking to Rocket man was hardly surprising. They seemed to be kindred where energy was concerned.

"I just so happen to know a guy who could get me exactly what you'd need for this type of project!" Moxley had all kinds of guys. A clock guy for clock collecting things. A rubber duck guy for her rubber duck collection needs. A parts guy for, well, muggle parts of all kinds. She was extremely well connected, you see. That's what happened when you were as likeable as Moxley was. Blessing and a curse. Hehe!

"Just give me a few days to get what you'll need and then I'll have the box delivered right to your common room, no charge! Consider it a thank you for the lovely clock!"

If Toby's mouth hadn't been busy eating that chocolate, he might have let out a happy little squeak at the response from Moxley. In fact, he maybe sorta kinda DID squeak a little bit, because sometimes you just felt a random burst of happiness and totally couldn't help it. But this wasn't random, of course. This was happiness 'cause of a THING. And that was just as good as a random happiness.

"Fantastic!" Toby replied quite enthusiastically when Moxley was done talking (and, y'know, once he'd properly eaten to chocolate and it was all in his belly because talking with your mouthful around a professor was RUDE). He bounced a little in his seat (old habits die hard) and positively beamed. "That sounds brilliant, Professor. Thank you so much!"

Oh yes, the gift would be super wicked, especially if Toby managed to get hold of that t-shirt, too. For now, he smiled at the Muggle Studies professor and gave a nod. "Cool. Sounds like a plan." And then, because they were both super cool cats, Toby leaned forward and held his hand up for a high five. UP TOP, MOXLEY.

Toby's bouncing made Moxley bounce and the pair of them must have looked very silly indeed, not that the professor minded such things. She was awesome so if she wanted to bounce, she would. She'd probably even make bouncing cool. Bring it back into style or something. The bouncing sensation sweeping the nation, it's Meredithhhhhh Moxley. Or not. Wait, what where they talking about, again?

...Right, parts for Rocket Man's pogo stick.

"You're very welcome, Toby!" The brunette leaned forward a bit, too, and gave the Hufflepuff a very enthusiastic high five followed by a giggle. "I'll be sure to keep this on the down low, too. Make sure Professor Flamsteed isn't tipped off or anything." She was an excellent secret keeper. "And if there's nothing else, you can take those chocolates with you! I've got plenty here."

Yes! Bouncing! Bouncing was fantastic and Moxley was joining in! Wonderful! The high five was well-received too and all in all it had turned out to be a Very Good Day, and Toby was happy.

"Thanks Professor," he said with a grin, and a nod of his head. Yes, yes. Perrrrrfect. It would be a BRILLIANT surprise for the Starman, and Toby was super psyched, yep. "Ooooh, really?" He could HAVE the chocolates? AWESOME. Toby's grin widened even more. "Thanks!"

Good day, yes. Moxley was a good egg. It was a shame he'd not likely not see much of her after he graduated, what with not coming back and all. But those were sad thoughts, and not for today. Only smiles and happiness today.

"Okay, cool. I best head off, then," Toby said, picking out another chocolate and chucking it into his mouth before taking the entire box and getting to his feet. Ahem. Chocolate yasss. "It was super great talking to you, Professor. I'll come visit again before term ends. Maybe I'll bring cookies." Because cookies were awesome, yeah?

"Please do visit before you leave, Mr. Fuller-Thompson!" Moxley stood and smiled at the seventh year a bit sadly, realizing she wouldn't be seeing him around next term. Shame. He was one of the good ones, Toby was.

"I'd never say no to cookies and my door is always open." PAUSE. "Except when it's shut." Hehehe. "Have an excellent rest of the day and good luck on your NEWTs!"
