Him lighting the bonfire? The bestie knew him so well. "Oh really..." Benny mused absently at the idea. "Would have been fun." His dragon-breath was indeed fun to use, and a cool aspect of replicating the traits of the creature he so adored. But alas, it was done by the professors or staff, probably by a simple incendio, and all the fun was taken all out of the equation. Boo to that. Now they just had the chance to enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling inside created by the heated glow on the outside. Benny supposed that was good enough for him. Oh look...the speech. Benny turned his attention to the headmistress as she made her appearance, gathering everyone's attention for the one end-of term feast tradition that was going to take place. Claps for his house for the winning of the house cup and snaps for Hufflepuff house for their gobstone's win. It appeared to be a good term all around, minus the time of ultimate fear and destruction. But then his thoughts were pulled away at other news. Truebridge was leaving....and Botros was going to take over. Now that was going to be a switch for their final year, the lion glancing over at Adi to see his reaction to the news, especially his head's promotion. Not that it was that big of deal for Benny given he hadn't much of a relationship with the departing woman. Angel though...Angel was going to be disappointed loosing another herbology professor. They seemed to be cursed like the groundskeepers. Benny almost looked for her out of habit as his thoughts turned before he pulled himself back. Nope...not going there. He turned back to see Puck give him a nod, mildly curious as to the reason. Did she finally register his presence? Benny nodded in return to acknowledge the gesture of his yearmate and prefect. Speaking of prefects...what was going on with Zander? |
A little bit of Botros. :3 Sophie Brown had been Next term. Next term was going to be THEIR term. It was time. Sipping at her hot chocolate, Sophie continued paying the headmistress just half of her attention - she was listening to what the woman was saying, but she was also letting her gaze wander over those who were on the blankets, those who were congregated in random groups, and her gaze had just fallen over on Zander and Tia, when-- the headmistress announced her RESIGNATION? Whaaaaaaaaaat? For REAL? But... wait - BOTROS WAS GOING TO BE HEADMASTER? AND Truebridge was leaving in the wake of the acromantula attack... but she was sending one of her children here? What in Merlin's name... Sophie wasn't even going to try to understand, no. Information OVERLOAD, but more than anything, Soph suddenly had something URGENT TO SAY. So, once the speech was over, the sixth year made a beeline for Botros, who was just getting up and seemed to be headed for the Headmistress - but the Ravenclaw hurried up beside the Runes professor before he got there and excitedly whispered to him, "All hail King Botros." And then she hurried away, some hot chocolate spilling out of her mug and onto the grass as she went to find one of those big cozy blankets to wrap up in before she'd go join her boyfriend, a huge smile on her face the whole way. |
People were talking and speeches were being made and everyone was milling about, but, as usual, Toby had sort of forgotten to pay any attention. His mind was on the food, mainly, and on getting himself a good giant-worthy pile of supplies for s'mores, so he could spend the rest of tonight essentially gorging himself. That way he didn't hve to think of other things, see? That was the best part about building your own food. Took your focus away from less appealing things. So while everyone around him was listening and reacting to the speech, curling up under blankets and probably making he most of those last moments before the summer break or before graduating entirely... Toby was busy making the biggest s'more known to man, fully intending to eat the whole thing in one go. Death by s'more. This was an art form. |
Zhenya *didn't quote* . . Gabe was distracted when the Headmistress stood and began making her speech...and to be honest, he wasn't all that surprised by her quitting. She'd almost been an Acromantula meal. Who, in sound mind and body, would want to stay after all that emotional distress? If he hadn't been graduating, Gabe felt absolutely positive that he wouldn't be making a return. ...but he had graduated. Yay. Lazily looking back towards the Slytherin girl, Gabriel shrugged; having mentally completed the sentence. He was fine. Completely. Just ready to be on the train home. Yawn. |
