Stopping by to have a chat with Professor Moxley? A sign right by her door makes it clear that you need to knock and wait for permission before entering. Luckily for you, there is a rather curious looking waiting area where you can pass the time comfortably. And trust that you’ll be aware of the time as an interesting collection of clocks serve as the main focal point of this small space. Moxley has a bit of a antiquing problem.
So please sit back, relax, and enjoy a flip through one of the books or magazines that have been so generously set out for you. Professor Moxley will be with you shortly.

The fifth year was in an amazing mood today. It felt so great to be back at Hogwarts and to be honest she was getting bored with being home and even hanging out with friends. Diagon Alley and other places just weren't as fun as it was suppose to be in the summer. Emmylou walked around the corridors before remembering that they were get two new professors this term, she had heard it from her grandmother and her Aunt Raeanne. Emmylou wore her new jean button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the middle of her elbows, she had the shirt tucked into her white skirt with some bright blue polka dots on it and yellow flats to match. She wandered around the corridor sometime before remembering one classes were getting new professors. The she remembered that one of them was Muggle Studies. Emmylou was alright in Muggle Studies, she could get by but she wasn't exactly the greatest student for it. She was smart but there were just some subjects that didn't interest her, bored her or she just didn't understand. She didn't know what it was about muggle studies because she thought anything muggle was very interesting and not boring. Emmylou walked into the new professors seating area, it was really pretty and interesting use of interior decor but in a really good way. She really liked it! She didn't know when the professor would show up so she took the opportunity to take a seat and take in everything there was to take in the room.

Lux missed Professor Hadley, but she was happy to have Botros as her new Head of House, and she was curious to meet the new Muggle Studies Professor.
Wanting to say hello and meet the woman, she decided to head over to her office. Reaching the waiting area, she spotted Emmy and Noel with the Professor. She pretended Emmy wasn't there - because what was the point in bothering - and gave Noel a smile before turning her attention to the new teacher. "Hello, Professor. I am Lux Carrington and I wanted to welcome you to Hogwarts."

Her dad and her would always go out and go look for bargains for at these little mom and pop shops and Emmylou just loved those kind of stores and to see the smiles on the owners faces just made her happier.
Emmylou heard a really cheer voice? It sounded cheery and excited. The fifth year looked towards the voice and smiled brightly. "Hello. I really love it! It reminds me of my Uncle Warren's house and a bit of my house back in Alabama." Emmylou said with her smooth southern twangy accent. She really liked this professor so far! "I really love it! It's so beautiful. My dad and I go to these mom and pop shops in Alabama, Louisiana and some in Florida during the summer to go shopping and last year we found a clock similar to that one just ours is a little smaller. The guys name wasn't Bob though, I think his name was Fred." Fred sounded about right.
"I'm just here to welcome you to Hogwarts."

Being at Hogwarts felt good. Nicole missed home and her family too, but this school made homeschooling sound boring. She wrote back to her family early this morning and was just walking around the castle. Soon, she found herself in an interesting sort of waiting area outside of an office, where a couple of older students were talking with a Professor.
Even though the second year had no idea where she was or what subject the Professor taught, she thought it would be good to meet the woman. Nicole smiled at her friend Lux before taking a seat and pulled out a book to read while she waited for her turn to speak to the Professor.

"Allllllabama! Has a lovely ring to it, that does." Meredith took a sip of her milk as she listened to the blonde appreciate her taste and talk about her similar ventures. Seemed they had something in common which meant the girl clearly had lovely taste. "I hope yo haggled with that Fred because you can't just let them up the prices without a fight." She raised the hand holding the glass in the air and gave it a bit of a shake, spilling some milk on the floor. OOPS. She casually ran her shoe over the spot and a squeeeeeaaaak could be heard before she grinned sheepishly at the girl.
"I appreciate you stopping by. Why don't you come in and have some cookies with me?" She headed for the door and did a rather dangerous balancing act with milk on the plate of cookies while she shouldered her way into her office. Yes, Meredith Moxley was a picture of elegance and grace.

Awww, this Professor seemed nice so far. Cheery and full of life. Lux liked that in a person because it was much better to be happy and friendly than to be a gloomy sourpuss.
"It's nice to meet you too, Professor!" And an interesting set up as well. The clocks were pretty neat, and clearly the woman liked collecting them. "What House did you used to be in? I'm in Hufflepuff." Houses weren't everything, but it was interesting to know this kind of thing. "Oh, yes. I am very interested in Muggle things. I like to use the computer in the Technology Center. It's so much fun!" Even if the machines were slow, she liked using them to go on Twitter.

"Oh, thank you," she said, giving her a smile. She liked the smiley face drawn onto it, which constantly reminded people around her to be happy!
"Yeah, but I'll let Lux go first, since she came before me," she nodded. Nicole had not intended to visit the Professor in the first place, but she was still looking forward to having a chat with her... as soon as she knew where she was.

"They are really nice, professor" he commented, trying to not feel awkward talking about professor's 'guy'.
"I was wondering if I could talk to you about something professor" he stated as calmly as possible. It was hard to shield his excitement these days.

What a little cutie pie this kid was. Meredith grinned at him as she adjusted the vase so that the tulips took center stage. Her favorites, y'know. And perhaps if the kids saw them displayed, they'd feel inspired to get her flowers too. Valentine's Day wasn't too far away and after her first lesson, she'd definitely have some fans. All confidence, she was.
"'Course you can, Mr.-" She didn't know his name and this was a problem, yes? "How about this: You tell me your name, I let you into the office for a chat."

What was it with this whole 'visiting Professors' outside of class thing? Who was this boy and what had he done with the REAL Zander Adair. This was madness. This was insanity. THIS WAS FIFTH YEAR TAKING OVER HIS BRAIN ALREADY. This was... Uh... Was this puberty? Manhood maybe? Adulting? Well, what it was, was weird. It was weird, yet he was here standing in the waiting area of a PROFESSOR'S office. Again. This was like the third time this term already. Say whaaaaat?
Except, well, he wasn't feel that intimidated this time. Well okay, not that he was always intimidated by-- Okay, okay but Professor's were kind of intimidating okay? Some of them were really tall and they assigned homework and were also in charge of grading his OWLs.
Oh yeah, that's why he was here. Right.
Ahem. Holding a nice little cupcake that he just so happened to steal from the ktichens it served Toddles right, okay? that house elf showed no remorse in stealing Zander's food and everything. The Gryffindor carefully walked up to the door and gave it a nice tap with his free hand, then took a step back towards the table to set down his things. Including the cupcake. And now he would start pacing. Why? Because it seemed like the proper thing to do. If he was being an adult now,

Uh.... Right then. "Well, Professor... You um... You see, the pleasure is actually all mine," okay, Aegis was way better at this flattery stuff. How did the boy even do it?! Zander would try to ask but... Kid was down right annoying. So no. Instead, he'd just stand here in front of Professor Moxley and try his best to hide the fact that his cheeks were turning an embarrassing shade of pink. Oops? Turning around quickly, hoping that she missed it... He went and picked up the cupcake that he had taken from the kitchens. "I brought you a cupcake, Professor. And well, I was hoping you'd have some time to chat," Mhm. This was exactly why he was here. Just to chat. Turning around quickly, hoping that she missed it... He went and picked up the cupcake that he had taken from the kitchens. "I brought you a cupcake, Professor. And well, I was hoping you'd have some time to chat," Mhm. This was exactly why he was here. Just to chat. And not to impress her so that she'd go on and brag about him to all the other Professors in hopes that everyone would give him higher grades on his OWLs because of it. Pft. Of course not.
"Of COURSE I remembered!" Meredith chuckled and adjusted some magazines on the table before beaming at the boy. "My mind is like a steel trap! Information goes in and it stays there." She winked at him and then turned her attention to the cupcake. Dear Merlin, this boy was a gem.
"For me? Mr. Adair, you shouldn't have!" She paused for only a second before adding, "But please know I appreciate any and all cupcake deliveries." Heh. "Why don't we step into my office and we can have a chat in there." They'd have to, yeah? She was already headed back in there and she fully intended the cupcake Zander to follow.

With one person down, Benjamin was in search of another to do work with for Tanner's little project. They really needed more than 30 minutes to accomplish this. The castle was HUGE and he had been tempted to try Professor Thompson but he would NEVER get back from out on the grounds in time and there was no way to know if the man was anywhere else at this point in the day. So he was out and Benny was trying to think of another.
He finally settled on Professor Moxley. Surely she seemed open-minded and energetic to be willing to help him. AND she was a former Gryffindor to boot. She would be nice to a fellow lion. Not that he thought she wasn't nice anyway. So he made his way back down to the first floor and to the woman's seating area. Again he was lucky and no one was around so he made his way to the door and knocked politely before taking a seat to wait.

Moxley was used to getting interrupted. The brunette had been QUITE popular since starting here-heh, she KNEW she would be-and it was with a cheerful expression that she answered her door only to find no one there. Where was the-Ah, in the seating area. Of course.
"Mr. Atreyu, nice to see you!" Most students were in class so she raised an eyebrow slightly as she walked over. "What brings you to my office?"

Benny looked up as he heard the sound of the office door opening, a good sign for him that at least the professor was ther. "Hello Professor," he greeted with a polite nod, "You as well." It made his task a bit easier as well as she was a nice friendly person. No reason to not want to see her came to mind. He noticed she seemed like she might be confused by his presence...understandable...he was technically supposed to be in class.
"Well Professor Tanner sent us out to find two people we can do calculations with. And it had to be people outside of class...so professors seemed to fit the best." Okay so maybe he was rambling but he was short on time and needed to get the information to the woman as clearly as possible to make it understandable. "I was wondering if you could assist me."

Oh, so THAT is why the student wasn't in class. Not quite as exciting as having a kid skip to chat with her but still, at least NOW she didn't have to go all authority figure on him. She'd always been the bad cop in the good cop-bad cop scenario with Callum at home. JUST saying. Fear the Moxley.

He watched as the woman joined him, taking her own seat near him. It was then as she smiled at him that he was inwardly relieved even before she spoke. Smiles were always good. "We're working on major cycles which needs your birthday. Reducing each set of numbers until its a single digit." She was still okay with it...right?

He couldn't help the color that rose in his face as her words sunk in and felt a bit embarished by what he had done. "I di--" he started to try and defend himself or appologise but broke off as Moxley continued on brushing the whole issue off. No hard feelings on what he has asked of her it seemed.

Moxley waited patiently as Benny worked on the math part of the assignment. Her eyes raked over her waiting area, pleased to see the flowers were still in good shape and that new magazines sat on the table. She tried to keep the space up, that was for sure. Hopefully it showed.
"Well, I'd have to say that you're spot on with that, Mr. Atreyu." The professor had rested her gaze on him before trying to get a look at his parchment. "Fascinating." NOT that she'd want to do any of the work for herself, of course. Having the kiddos figure this stuff out for her was definitely okay with her.
