The very name of this dungeon should send chills down your spine. If you've landed a trip to this room, you're in big trouble mister. Not only are the walls lined with slime and chains, but a particularly scary suit of armor looms in the corner.

Be prepared to be punished to the full extent of Hogwarts' powers.

Oh Sophia was reeeeeally looking forward to this detention. This student deserved to be disciplined to the fullest extent.

Sophia was therefore very thorough as she gave her instructions to the very slimy suits of Armour and waited for the delinquent child to arrive.

Rorie followed the instructions she was giving leading to her detention. You know...most schools just make you sit in a room writing lines, but nope. Hogwarts took place in the dungeons. And a torture chamber all for herself?? How sweet of them.

She took a good look around at the slimy mess. This looked straight out of a horror movie she's most likely seen. Can't quite remember how it went or how it ended or rather...if the protagonist lived. No matter how spooky this place looked, it was secretly tickling her happy. Although, she wouldn't show it, no. That'll probably end her six feet under. She kept a very woebegone frown on her face as she turned to face the malicious woman, "Professor." She wasn't quite ready to add a hello to the beginning of that, yet.

Professor?

Sophia gave her a look deciding that the girl had just forfeited her right to a proper greeting. They were not peers nor were they companions.

"You're expected to clean the walls, the floors and the suits of armour. You'll start with the armour because they're the filthiest." Might prove tricky for her though.

"Leave your wand on the table."

Honestly, she could just breathe and this lady would shoot her a freaking dirty look. No addressing. Got it.

Cleaning? This place was already so homey! How unfortunate. Ror placed her wand on the table and rolled up her sleeves. So, what was she using? Her spit?

Sophia pointed to the wash rag and the bucket that was already filled with cleaning agents courtesy of the elves.

"I don't want you to miss a single spot." And she could bet that Sophia would be inspecting the walls and the suits of armour to ensure that everything was done to her liking.

She moved back to suits of armour and began whispering to it.

Rorie tied her hair back before digging the rag into the cleaning bucket. She side-eyed the woman. Is this a normal thing people do? Whisper sweet nothings into the inanimate ears of scraps of metal? And, supposably she was the crazy one.

Rorie was in the middle of springing out the rag when she felt a sudden thwack on her arm. WHAT THE FRICK?! Hogwarts was stuck in the medieval times wasn't it? Teachers weren't suppose to hit students!! 'Cept it wasn't Bellaire. It was the freaking suit of armor. JUST GREAT. She moved in, slapping the rag on the shoulder, rubbing it to get the grime off.

The suit of armour flicked the girl's ear. He imagined metal to that small bit of skin must hurt very much but if she was going to be rough he was going to be rough too.

Sophia smirked as she watched the suit of armour with the girl.

Very nice.. It was no more than she deserved. She was such a rotten little thing. But yes, while the suit of armour dealt with her, Sophia would focus on her lesson plan for the set of first years that she had early the next morning.

Lalalala such a lovely detention.

Her left hand cupped the part of the ear that was aching. She shot a glare at Bellaire and the Suit of Armor. This was ridiculous. There was no way she'd get the ick out with giving it a little force! Stupid pile of metal. No matter, she went a little bit more gentle. Wasn't planning on having her ear flicked off.

Well how did she expect to get him restored if she was going to clean him like that? This child knew nothing of balance did she? Well she'd learn today.

She received another thwack from the ancient body armour. Not so soft stupid but not hard either. He wagged his finger at her.

She was gritting her teeth in fury now. Her fist was itching to just hit its dumb metallic chin with an uppercut and knock that head of its shoulders! Ror narrowed her eyes at the condencending finger waggle again. She'd bite that finger right off, slime and all, if it kept doing that! She went a little bit harder, but not as hard as she originally was. Hopefully, it'd settle down.

Sophia was keeping a close eye on the proceedings and was very happy with how it was going mind you. She did wonder though if one session with the suit of armours would do the girl any good.

Maybe several sessions were needed.

"Work faster Ms. Hazelwood. The suits don't like being touched for extended periods."

The suit of armour allowed the girl to scrub for a little while. He had to admit that he was glad to get most of the gunk off him. He was getting very tired of her constant handling though. She needed to hurry up.

He jabbed her in the side. Hurry hurry. Well that jab would certainly leave a mark, but he was very much over her.

The girl had almost forgotten the Queen Snake was still in the room. Probably snickering away at her pain, she was. Horrible human being. Regardless, she did as told and moved faster. Not that it mattered, but she didn't like touching this thing for extending periods either.

Okay, OW! That one made her wince. It jabbed her right where she had a poorly healed rib fracture from a while ago. Rorie squeezed back tears trying to escape because come on, really? She played roller derby for Marina's sake. It was going to take more than this to make her cry. She took a quick deep breath for the pain to pass and then continued to scrub, scrub, scrub.

She didn’t need this really, detentions weren’t fun and well…she didn’t want to deal with the creepy doll again – who knew? Maybe she could do something? Save Zander from losing his badge?? Puck glanced around the room and bit her lip.

She had no idea what was going to happen in here…maybe it wouldn’t be that disastrously torturous. She just hoped that it wouldn’t be anything so horrible.

He'd heard terrible things about these dungeons. Couldn't help but wonder if Kevin had ever been sent to this one.

The Torture Chamber.

It gave him shivers. Zander Adair was not detention material. Just like he hadn't been Prefect material. Merlin. This was awful. He didn't get one bit of sleep all night, instead he spent the long hours tossing and turning. Thinking about the forrest. Thinking about Gregoire. Thinking about his badge that wasn't in it's normal place on his robes. Thinking about everything. Why was there SO MUCH THINKING??? Wasn't that Ravenclaw's job??

The only thing that kept him from having a nervous breakdown right here in front of everyone was the fact that it was right here in front of everyone. They were all serving this detention together. The four of them. Would have been five had Gregoire....... Ahem. But they had each other, right? That was one thing Professor Quigley must've neglected to think about... Unless... Unless it was going to be used against them, which he didn't doubt.

Merlin. THIS was the real torture. All the seconds that counted by, standing around in the TORTURE Chamber trying to figure out what the man was going to do to them. It was tearing him apart. And he was shaking again. Oh man. No one else was noticing, right?

Zander…he was well he looked a bit. Scared maybe? He was most likely going through the same amount of utterly destroying fear that seemed to race through her veins. “You’ll get through this” she half told him but mainly told herself as she stood there and hugged her arms around her boy. “…” she wanted to speak to say something anything to apologize for her inaction during the time but her own selfish fear and self preservation instincts had stopped her from doing anything of the sort. She wasn’t a Prefect she was a reject.

Someone explain to him why even after taking his time to get to the dungeons he was still earlier than two of the students that were meant to be here. This was hardly a good way to start the night--perhaps fitting though, considering it wasn't a good night and wouldn't be for a while.

"Mister Adair, Miss Greyvson." He said by way of polite greeting as he entered the room. His gaze lingered a bit on the boy; he looked like his heart was about to bolt from his chest and speed back up the stairs til it hit the tower. Well good, meant he was taking this seriously.

Maddox could have been a complete jerk right about now and asked why they hadn't seen to it that Mister Dane and Mister Banner made it down here on time too given they were on the same floor but no. It was an individual's own responsibility to ensure they were on time so he chose to go with, "Your wands, please." Arm extended and an expectant look. Standard detention procedure he was sure the girl remembered.

"We'll wait for the stragglers. Do try not to look as if you've been sentenced to spider bait duty Zander." Honestly, they would all make it out of here alive for the most part.

The Gryffindor felt Puck's presence beside him, even though he hadn't done anything to so much as acknowledge her, other than a small nod and glance her way. It wasn't that he was ignoring her... He was just too busy trying to stop all the thoughts from buzzing around in his head. Walking down with Sophie helped, but after having to leave her behind when he walked to the detention dungeons...

Pull it together, Adair.

His head snapped up at the sound of the dungeon doors opening, though it wasn't Aegis walking in. It was Professor Quigley. Oh Merlin. This was it. He was going to die here. He may have done a lot of foolish things-- the forrest incident being one of them-- but Zander Adair was no fool. He knew exactly how these things tended to go, well, he knew how Kevin's tended to go. He wasn't meant for this place. He was sure of it.

"Professor Quigley," he nodded slowly only replying a few moments after having thought through the possible consequences of leaving out a greeting. Though he did have to take a breath before to make sure his voice didn't give away how absolutely nervous he was. It only sort of worked by the way. The Fifth Year quickly looked over to Puck, raising a single brow at the instruction. Give up their wands?... Did they have to? However, he did know better than to argue and instead of resisting, he slowly pulled it out of it's holster and held it out to the man.

"I-uh-I--" Spider bait duty??? O_____O Was it bad that he could actually picture that being their punishment? If the Professor set flesh eating slugs on Kevin for just talking back in class, WHAT WOULD HE DO TO ZANDER?? Um. And Puck. And Aegis. And yeah, uh anyways... "Yes, sir."

Was Mister Adair about to raise an objection to the wand taking? He seemed to remember Kyroh doing something of the sort and ended up having his wand vanished completely so it was a good thing the boy chose to comply; who knew where the wand could end up and if he'd bother to summon it back after?

"Thank you."

While waiting for the other to surrender her wand, Maddox gave a flick of his own to reveal a Pensieve sitting in the middle of the room. "This detention will be a simple one. I don't intend to have you sitting in here all night provided we get everything done."

As he was the first to surrender his wand, Maddox gestured for him to go forward. "You're familiar with this particular artifact, yes?" Yes. "Go ahead and take a look."

It was nothing the boy hadn't seen already, merely a different perspective.

OOC: The Pensieve contains the last moments of Gregoire's life. You guys were all in the RP so you'll know how your character should be seeing and have an idea of how they would react.

A simple one. Not all night. That was relieving. Well, a bit relieving. Though, that feeling didn't last all too long because as soon as the Professor flicked his wand to reveal a Pensieve Zander knew what they were meant to do. On second thought, was it too late to request spider bait duty? He nodded at the question though, then took a couple of small steps forward. Thanks to his recent studying endeavors, Zander Adair knew exactly what this 'particular artifact' was. He wasn't any Ravenclaw, but he was also sure as to what exactly they were meant to see in it.

What else?

Gregoire.

He didn't even like the boy, but the very thought of having to re-witness everything that happened in the forrest... Was there any way to back out of this? Ask that Puck went first? He knew the answers though. He knew better than to ask. Better than to even wonder. Turning towards Puck he gave her a solemn look as he continued to make his way closer. Letting his hands rest on the edge of the Pensieve he took a quick breath, glanced over Professor Quigley for further confirmation, and then lowered his head so that he was staring at the murky liquid like substance. How far was he supposed to lower until the foggy stuff finally made--

He was no longer in the torture chamber, but already he knew what kind of torture was about to come. Somehow.... Somehow they must've gotten ahold of Gregoire's last memories. The Gryffindor hated what he saw next. Gregoire making his way into the forrest, probably thinking he was being heroic. He couldn't watch it. Shouting the first of a series of spells. He didn't want to watch it Getting pointed looks from Zander Adair. It was only getting worse. He was probably trembling and the two in the dungeon, they probably noticed. It was a weird experience, knowing you were one place, but being in another. Especially when you didn't want to be in either place. The first spider attack. Make it stop. A silencing spell--

"NO!" He couldn't do it. Zander didn't need to see the rest. He knew. He knew exactly what would happen. When it would happen. How it would happen. He didn't need to see it. He DIDN'T WANT to see it. Using every ounce of strength he had, he quickly pulled himself away from the pensive, watching the scene that had been laid before him disappear.

"I can't," he was looking directly at Professor Quigley. Trembling. How long exactly would this memory last? Was Gregoire still conscious when the spiders undoubtedly shredded him to bits? Had he felt the venom making way into his veins? Did he know he was going to die? As Zander began to back away from the Pensieve, he shook his head, practically pleading. "Professor, I can't watch the rest, I can't do it."
