Another year, another feast to eventually come to an end. Not just yet though, as Javier had already been seated. He could consider the overall feeling on the whole term, but there were other things on his mind at the moment. His eyes had been first set on the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw tables before the others in between said thoughts.

What else was new? Well, the only way to know was to wait and see as the students began filling inside here..

End of term feast! EEEEEP! She had been looking forward to this. She loved the school year, but this school year she was just off. She had been distracted and then with a student death and the stuff with Leo, she was just ready for summer. Yes, she was going on a trip and relaxing.

As she made her way in she saw Javy and smiled cheerfully, "Hey you, happy term is over?" Of course he was, he had a baby to get too. "Auntie Cassie is coming over to see that bundle of cuteness as soon as Piersy says its okay. " New parents might want a heads up before coming so that was her head up. Hehe!

Finding her seat she set down her favorite purse and checked on her fur babies, sleeping sweetly. Picking up the goblet and sipping some water she looked around. "Wow aren't we eager beavers being one of the first." She wasn't all that use to being early, but it was kind of fun.

From his seat on the right side of the dais Leo was sitting in his own personal bubble contemplating the events of the past year as his eyes wandered over to the Ravenclaw Table. He noted that a few of his eagles had already arrived for the feast. He could see Evie down there as well as Kyroh. Pouring himself a glass of water Leo turned his gaze to Javy and Cassie on the other end of the table waving to them. "Good evening Javy and Cassie! Have you guys packed everything for summer vacation yet?"

Her first term as professor and it was all done. Meredith Moxley simply couldn't believe it! She'd been an excellent professor, obviously. Adored by all and the brunette couldn't have hoped for more. Well, except maybe some kind of award for outstanding effort in the category of molding young minds. Like a trophy or a medal with her name on it! Or like, a shiny plaque, maybe? Did Hogwarts have a suggestion box? She could totally rope the Adair kid to go nominate her. Boy was the president of her fan club! Heh. Sometimes it paid to be so popular.

Wiggling around in her seat, the Moxinator got comfy before giving a smile to her fellow professors and the librarian. "Everyone excited for summer?!"

She had thought she would be one of the later arrivals, but when Tiara walked into the Hall for the Leaving Feast, she only saw a few of her colleagues and hardly many more of her students. Perhaps she needed to get her clock repaired? No matter, she was thrilled for this happy occasion that signaled the end of another successful year.

"Good evening, everyone," she said as she walked down the dais towards her seat. Though she had intentions to congratulate the Hufflepuff Leadership, neither of them were present as of yet. Hopefully Botros didn't fall down the stairs on his way here. The man wasn't really so old she was worried, but he had this wispy, feeble air about him sometimes that made her concerned for his wellbeing. If he wasn't seated next to her in ten minutes, she decided, she was going to go looking for him.

Excited Maddox was excited. No really, you could almost tell if he was the sort to wear that on his face. In fact, the man had already packed up everything and floo-ed stuff home. Only thing left was to sit through this feast then floo STRAIGHT HOME TO HIS WIFE AND ANKLE BITERS. He'd come back of course, tomorrow, to help see the children off but this was officially it, the end of the term. No more brats with an attitude, no more vicious old hags that turned people into frogs--no more grading, no more whining, no more lessons.

He LOVED this time of term, especially while he was an actual student here though for slightly different reasons.

The Charms Professor walked up to the dais, hands buried in his pockets and a spring in his step. His face was pleasant enough; he didn't even look that tired! "Evening everyone!" The man was in such a good mood he even took the LONG way around the table, passing by Meredith to give her a tap on the head and a grin.

Once at his seat, he flopped into it, perfectly mellow vibes being sent to those closest to him. "Brilliant evening, isn't it?" He spared a sweeping glance at the student tables. "If they know what's good for them, they'll behave this time around, eh?" No really. The man was in too good a mood to bust anyone and anyone that tanked that good mood would probably be hung by their ankles til breakfast tomorrow when he found himself in ANOTHER good mood. They weren't easy to come by, believe it or not.

Note all the elements that needed to be added to get the one he was currently in. It was a lot of work at the end of the day.

Oooh and others were coming in she grinned at them all. “Hellllo Tiara, how are you doing this evening?” She snapped happily as she greeted the Arithmancy professor. “How did your term go?” It seemed scary, but exciting to change positons, but Tiara had done it so well. She wondered if she missed the pitch. “Any big plans this summer?” Everyone should be making plans, yes! She certainly was, though the school trip was not one of them for her. Outside and water together, that was not something that Cassie should attempt and of all people Leo should remember well what happened when he tried fishing wit her.

As Meredith and Maddox came into the hall she smiled at both of them. Noting a little disappointment that Maddox wasn’t in his cat form. He was just so cute when he was a fur ball. “Good evening.” She waved down towards Meredith, sometimes it paid to be the seat right next to the middle seat. She could be close to all areas. “Maddox you seem very happy to be here.” Term must have been hard for a few adults, not just her. [b] “I’m very exciting for summer Meredith, thank you for asking.”she gave her snaps in appreciation. “Planning anything big yourself?” Her greens eyes went around to the tables, she was so proud of her old house, but everyone had done so well.

“Of course I’m packed silly.” She had spotted him right as he asked the question about summer. Though Leo already knew her answer, he had been in her office seeing the cluttery mess being put in boxes. “Do you have everything packed? She thought he had been working on it, but she hadn’t been near his office in the past few days to see. “If you still need some help, I could help you later.” She wouldn’t mind helping, plus it was time she got to spend with him.

Unlike previous feasts, the Astronomy professor had not been looking forward to this one for many reasons - each one more self invested than the last. First was the notion that he despised losing and Gryffindor had let not one...but TWO Cups slip through their fingers this term. Not to take anything away from those hard working badgers, hard work ought to be rewarded, but the man was just not fond of not coming in first. Another reason was, well, the castle would have a more permanent feeling of emptiness next term without her presence. One he thought he would have adjusted to a little after his experience this term, but to no avail.

Thus, the Gryffindor Head of House needed to take some precautions to make sure that he was not a complete party pooper at this end of term feast. Allowing himself to wallow in these, and other, depressed thoughts was not only highly illogical...but also disrespectful to those graduating and departing the school this term. And these precautions came in the form of a poorly brewed sunshine-yellow potion. Poorly brewed...but still effective.

And now he was running late to the feast. WHOOPSIE DAISIES!

Dressing himself in one of her favorite suits, the astronomer sang his way down from the Astronomy Tower and BURST through the entrance to the Great Hall with his arms held out to the side. Holding his note until he reached the dais where he dramatically ended it with the snapping of the fingers of his right hand.

"Hello and good evening!" he roared, arms now held out to either side as he stood before the table. "Astronomical weather we are having this evening, aren't we? And the color really does brighten up the place! And DID you all see that STELLAR first quarter moon outside? Breathtaking!" He had even taken a mental picture from the tower. CLICK!

BEAMING at the staff table, he was just about to head towards his seat when a thought crossed his mind. "You know what. We don't hug enough. We should do one BIG group hug before the feast begins properly. One BIG hug to celebrate the end of term!"

His arms, despite growing a bit tired from being held out so long, were now waiting in eager anticipation for that group hug.

"Now I won't take no for an answer. Get over here, you lot."

"I think nooooooooot," the Headmistress tutted as she strolled up the dais and past the Astronomy professor. She made eye contact with Javy and Cassie as she went by them, rolling her eyes in a 'can you believe this guy' kind of way.

Fifty galleons on Cassie really wanting a group hug though. Fifty galleons said she'd go for it.

Annie took her seat and somberly poured herself a glass of water, to warm up her throat for her speech of course. It looked as though the staff table was still missing some key members, and she was certainly not going to deliver this speech without their being present. Specifically, the Hufflepuff and Slytherin Heads of House needed to be here... Annie glanced at her watch briefly and decided she would give them five more minutes before sending a patronus.

Oh, and to those at the other end of the table... Leo, Moxley... Annie gave them polite nods of approval at their being here on time.

She did appreciate Cassiopeia's ability to always have a positive attitude. Sometimes it could be a bit overbearing, but in general, it was infinitely better than the opposite viewpoint, which some of her colleagues unfortunately had. Therefore, Tiara returned the woman's enthusiastic smile with genuine warmth. "I am quite well this evening, thank you. A touch on the hungry side, though I think we'll rectify that situation quickly here." It was the Leaving FEAST, after all. "Term went well. It was nice to do the same thing for the whole year this time around, as you can imagine."

As for her last question, yes she had plans. "I think the first order of business will be to relax a bit, rest up after the long school year. Maybe take some naps outside under the shade of a tree after reading a book." That sounded heavenly. Just add some iced tea and it would be perfection. "I'm planning on helping out with a Quidditch and flying camp this summer as well, but I don't have many details on it as of yet. Yourself?" She could only guess as to how the Divination professor chose to spend her holidays.

Oh Glooooooooooooory..the end was in the sight..light at the end of a really dark and dank tunnel. It was almost enough to put the woman in a good mood...not really.

Did they know that butterflies pooped? If they didn't know well now she knew. They did. It's just that you needed a whole lot of them together to actually notice. She had proof though. As Sophia approached the table, she was sure to walk by the Charms professor so she could drop the bag of poop on his lap.

"The fruit of your labour.." She said as she walked to her seat and sat down. Speeeeech.

In the mean time she would watch over the snakes...they needed extra eyes on them for obvious reasons.

Iiiii want to wrock and roll all nighttttt

Moxley was jamming, using her utensils for the insanely well done drum solo right there on the table for all to see. Waiting for the speech was always a bit of a drag but she could make her own fun. She also used said utensils to wave enthusiastically at Cassie von Cat Lady and the numbers lady and Maddox. Maddox got an especially exuberant wave, one that brought her fork dangerously close to Leobrarian's head but shhh, he didn't seem like he was in a good mood so they could both pretend that didn't happen.

The best part of the feast so far, though? ROCKET MAN. Did everyone see how happy he was? Meredith, who was a fan of her long time friend and his antics, couldn't help but smile and she wasted no time in getting in on this not-so-group hug that was meant to be happening. All the while giving her fellow professors LOOKS. HER looks were also of the 'can you believe this guy' variety but HERS were because she admired his moxie. MOXIE. Heh. Sounded like Moxley. People should admire his Moxley too.

So yup, she was ALL IN and squished the Astro professor, going as far as to lift him off his feet a little. GROUP HUG.

Fidgeting with various parts of her usual vest and boots outfit as she quickly sprint!walked into the great hall, Medea kept her gaze downwards as she made her way up to the staff table. She wouldn't have missed this feast for the world, though that didn't keep her from feeling awkward and out of place; only partially due to running a bit late.

Nothing unusual there...

Taking a deep breath, she looked up and automatically smiled towards alllllll of the staff despite the butterflies and feeling of nostalgia. Though the large amount of red upon a certain professor caught her attention. The Bulgarian woman relaxed a little, recognizing the suit.

"Dobar vecher, everyone," she greeted, slowing her pace as she made up the few steps to the table. Were free hugs being given out?

Could she get one?

He seemed happy to be here? Oh yes, yes he did and the man smiled over at his Colleague. "Extremely happy. Last night of term and all. Gonna see my wife and children later." Didn't even bother lying about it. THAT was how excited he was. "And you? Good mood as ever." Maybe it wasn't healthy...maybe it was something in her tea but it was all the same to him right now in the larger scheme of things.

Mer's wave wasn't missed, in fact he was grinning at at--proper with canines showing and all...but then Bellaire was approaching him and he could feel the hairs on the back of his neck rising. What did she want now? Oh? A bag? One with a smell he could have done without to be honest. Welp. Nothing to be done about that now except bring the grin back his face. "Awful kind of you, Sophia. Never expected a parting gift, I suspect you'll really miss me." The man vanished the bag immediately, unwilling to sit through the scent for the entire night, before focusing his attention on Airey.

Maddox watched him approach the dais skeptically. Something was off, even for the Astronut and he was almost terrified to know what (in case it ruined his mood.) SO taken in was he that he didn't notice the Headmistress until her protest to the group hugs for which he would be declining as well.

"Touch me and I'll smack you, Mate. That's a promise." And a very serious expression to go with it. Not even a joke. Only person he wanted to hold right now was back in England and whatever Airey caught might be contagious. Made it this long without any lasting ailments and the man wasn't about to ruin that for him.

Blue eyes turned to Medea as she approached the table next. "Give him some affection so he'll leave the rest of us well alone." Please?

Well then, after returning a nod towards some inhabitants of the Ravenclaw table Javy tore his eyes away toward another sound. He then smiled kindly at Cassie whose happiness just practically oozed out of her bright teeth. "Hello Cassie.. it's that obvious, isn't it?" Since she so kindly asked about that. He couldn't help chuckling then a little as 'Auntie Cassie' mentioned his sole reason for looking forward to returning home. Speaking of home. "Well of course you can. You're more than welcome to stop on by anytime." Especially if she happened to visit with another individual. Now then, "Have any other plans this summer?"

Leo arriving had earned himself a wave from Javy along with a kind smile, "Good day Leo, I'm pretty much all set. How about you?" He knew already on some of his plans seeing as he was involved in them. Before he could converse more, other have joined on in. "Evening Meredith," Who seemed to be marching to the beat of her own drum.. literally in this case. "Tiara, good to see you again. Doing alright?" Since she looked quite more thoughtful than usual tonight.

Once Maddox and Star-Man Airey arrived, as usual, Javier was expecting something to arise as he acknowledged them with a "Good evening Maddox. Airey." However, he wasn't expecting the proclamation of a group hug.. Resulting in one of his eyebrows raising up from this Creature Professor. "..Star Man... are you feeling alright?" Usually any form of contact on his suit was off limits for one. Second, well look at the company here he was asking this from. Enough said as he pretty much allowed Cassie and Meredith take advantage of this. If it was a prank about to happen, he was going to sit this gesture out.

Javier almost missed Annie, Sophia and Medea's appearance because of this interaction in fact. Almost, as he then gave a quick nod each in their direction.

No takers? Aw come on now, colleagues! How long had they known each other? Did that even matter? They had been GLORIOUS years full of fruitful interactions and astronomical relationships.

"OOOOOOOOOOOOH MERI BERRY! I KNEW I COULD COULD ON YOU! YOU WHO SHINES WITH THE LUMINOSITY OF A CLASS O STAR IN THE CELESTIAL HEAVENS OF FOREVER!" he cheered as the Muggle Studies professor scooped him up and twirled him around. He even allowed an enthusiastic 'weeeee' to pass though his lips. Once his feet were back on the glorious ground - the dais was a modern marvel for wizarding walking purposes! - he turned his attention back to the rest of the table.

"HAHAHAHAAAAAA. Classing Anastasia. Now, come on now, absolutely NO need to be shy!" he assured her. "A Hufflepuff alumni like yourself surely gives STELLAR group hugs. I have it on good authority that Hufflepuffs are especially good huggers!" At least Miss Carrington had said something to that regard earlier in the term when he had been helping her with her Potions homework. OH! He ought to go find that young woman and give her one tonight!

YOU GET A HUG! AND YOU GET A HUG! AND YOU! AND YOOOOOOOOU!

Even his colleagues at the table who had unfortunately missed his offer and were too shy to even look at him or admit that they too were seeking a hug. Looking at you two, Tiara and Sophia!

And speaking of the Transfiguration professor.

"SWEET SOLSTICE! WHAT DID SHE GIVE YOU?!" the astronomer chirped as he leaped towards the Charms professor in hopes of taking a peek at the parcel of admiration Sophia had just given him. But alas. It was gone before he could get the chance. Farewell, oh glorious gift, farewell.

"I am doing PHENOMENAL, thank you for asking," he grinned towards the Creatures professor. "Especially now that I am in this modern day Eden in the mist with the most influential witches and wizards of our time." Which, of course, meant all of THEM! His Hogwarts colleagues! "So how about that ---- SWEET SOLSTICE!"

And there she was. A vision in leather boots and outer space black adornments. The way her dark hair caught the glow of the floating candles in the Great Hall only accentuated her features and gave her a crown of glimmering stars in her hair. His jaw simply dropped and he rushed to her side to take both her hands in his. "Medea, you take my breath away," he said dramatically while fake wiping away a tear from his eye. "Just look how you glow...is there anything more miraculous than..."

OH MADDOX!

Dropping Medea's hands, Airey flung himself over the table and landed to the right of Maddox - NOT smacking anyone in the process. Although he may have regrettably knocked a goblet or plate off the table purely on accident.

"Sounds like someone is starving for some human contact," he chuckled. "Come here my buddy. MY PAL!"

BEAR HUG FOR YOU, MADDOX!

Cosgrach had JUST finished packing up, and therefore, walked in after pretty much everyone had taken their way. It was alright, he guessed. He wasn't that late to miss the speech, so...

He walked quickly and as subtly as he could and sat down on his chair. He... was going to ignore Airey for now.

Turning to the brunette by his side Leo said "Good evening Meredith and congratulations to getting through your first year of teaching muggle studies!" Holding up the pumpkin juice pitcher he asked "Would you care for some pumpkin juice?" Or was she a water drinker?

Beaming broadly Leo said "I'm super excited for the summer. There is so many things I want to do, but especially to go on the summer field trip with the students." It'd be memorable.



Spotting his fellow eagle’s leader Leo called over."Good evening Tiara. Are you excited for summer vacation?" He’d ask about how it had felt to teach arithmancy rather than flying. It must have been at least to him a very different experience. But it was also possible that Tiara liked numbers.



As Maddox past by his chair Leo chirped happily. "Good evening Maddox; how did you like your first year teaching charms at Hogwarts? Was it like you had envisioned it to be?" He was interested to know. If he had enjoyed it then it was a good chance that he was staying on for another year.



Grinning over at Cassie he said “Yes, I know. I haven't forgotten all those boxes.” It still amazed him sometimes how much stuff women in comparison to men seemed to need. Shaking his head Leo said "No, I have some stuff left to pack. I’d very much like some help after I've been to see the eagles. I've got something I want to give you too." Yes, that he had, but he wasn’t going to spoil what it was at the feast with everyone within earshot to eavesdrop. He had learned his lesson with the rose.



He hadn't quite registered when Airey had showed up in his red shimmering suit but Leo definitely heard him. It was hard to not hear that Airey as he started to roar loudly across the table about astronomical weather and then insisting on a giant group hug. This was most peculiar. Leo wasn’t exactly sure how to react. He waited to see what everyone else would do.

In the end he chose just to wave and beam warmly in Airey’s direction. "I'm glad you are in a stellar mood tonight Airey! How long will we be able to see the quarter moon?"



Leo returned Annie's nod as she came up on the dais and claimed her seat, clad in an elegant black dress which he had a feeling wasn’t just a coincidence. "Good evening Annie, have you got any plans for the summer?" Could they expect her to accompany them to Loch Ness?



Leo was glancing at Nessa’s empty seat by his side wondering where she had gotten to when Sophia made her entrance on the dais dropping something in Maddox lap. As she passed by him Leo said "Good evening, Sophia. Are you looking forward to some summer vacation?"



"Good evening Medea." Leo called over with a cheery wave. "Got any special summer plans?" It was nice to see her at the feast. Medea had been a scarce figure during the year. Leo hoped that she’d accompany Airey on the summer field trip to Loch Ness.



Smiling kindly in Javy's direction Leo answered his eyes trailing across the table to find Javy’s. "I'm pretty much all set. It's just some book boxes that still need to be moved to the storage room before I leave tomorrow. I guess you're longing to go home to Piers and your little son tomorrow?" But it was nothing heavy or tiring plus Leo needed to give the Restricted Section a last look to make sure that all the books were secure behind the chains.



Leo was sipping on his pumpkin juice when Cossy slipped into his seat next to Sophia. Beaming over at his good friend he said “Evening Cossy, finally all packed for the summer?” It seemed like the most likely reason as to why Cossy had arrived to the feast a tad late.

... a group hug? Why? Although Botros chuckled lightly at the scene of the Gryffindor head of house and professor Moxley. He had half a mind to join them if they weren't standing in the middle of the dais far from where he was taking his seat at the end of the table.

"Evening, professor." He greeted Tanner, his seat-neighbor and the only one he could hear over the chatter of students around the hall.

Cassie was talking with Javy and Leo when she heard someone say good evening. Looking up her green eyes fell on Airey and she tilted her head curiously. Was something wrong with him, though he seemed to be in a good mood. Watching with interest she heard him speak of group hugs. Well hugs were fantastic, but she had never seen Airey hug. Seeing Meredith go to him and hug him, she was about to get up when he was up over the table. Well goodness that was a fun entrance now wasn't it.

Giving him all the snaps and a bright smile she still walked over to him and hugged him. "I enjoy group hugs." Yep she wasn't missing out on the hugs. "You are just saying the sweetest things tonight Airey." He was a ball of positive now wasn't he. More snaps for him.

Back to her seat she beamed at her table neighbor, "Good evening Annie, good end of term I hope. Ready for summer?" She assumed the woman would be eager to go off and have some fun with her family. She knew she was looking forward to some trips and relaxing this summer. It would be full of shopping and good fun, but of course mostly shopping. She had her eye on a few new pairs of shoes.

She nodded, yes the food would be out shortly, though Cassie wasn't super hungry, she just hoped the Elves had a good salad or maybe a veggie meal of her liking. They were always so sweet to accommodate her vegetarian need. Wow, the woman really did have her summer planned and it sounded super fun. She gave snaps for that, "I bet the Quidditch stuff would be a great time. I myself never really got into the sport, or well any sports really. Though I have taken up a liking of Gobstones in the past few years." She glanced towards her reason on the other end of the table, but it had been beneficial, because she did really learn something she had never played in school. "Just relaxing and vacationing really. Not to much fully planned yet though." She always let the signs guide her and she knew it would be fun no matter what she did.

"Dobar vecher, everyone," she greeted, slowing her pace as she made up the few steps to the table. Were free hugs being given out?

Having her other table neighbor sit down she gave her a smile. "Medea, hello!" She beamed, "How are you this evening?" She always liked their little chats and couldn't help but remember she enjoyed her cats that were sleeping in her purse under the table.

Maddox watched him approach the dais skeptically. Something was off, even for the Astronut and he was almost terrified to know what (in case it ruined his mood.) SO taken in was he that he didn't notice the Headmistress until her protest to the group hugs for which he would be declining as well.

"Touch me and I'll smack you, Mate. That's a promise." And a very serious expression to go with it. Not even a joke. Only person he wanted to hold right now was back in England and whatever Airey caught might be contagious. Made it this long without any lasting ailments and the man wasn't about to ruin that for him.

Blue eyes turned to Medea as she approached the table next. "Give him some affection so he'll leave the rest of us well alone." Please?

Maddox was a sweet one and she gave him a grin at his excitement. "Oh that's wonderful! I bet it's hard being away from your family for so long." Though she knew professors weren't fully stuck in the castle all year, but it still had to be rough. "Any big plans for the summer with them?" She could only imagine what she would do with a little family over the summer. So many possible trips, it could be so much fun! "Oh of course I'm excited. Always excited to see the students off and of course happy for my old house and all." She strived to be happy for all the houses no matter what, but the yellow was lovely around the great hall. She gave some happy snaps as her eyes moved around.

Since she looked quite more thoughtful than usual tonight.

Once Maddox and Star-Man Airey arrived, as usual, Javier was expecting something to arise as he acknowledged them with a "Good evening Maddox. Airey." However, he wasn't expecting the proclamation of a group hug.. Resulting in one of his eyebrows raising up from this Creature Professor. "..Star Man... are you feeling alright?" Usually any form of contact on his suit was off limits for one. Second, well look at the company here he was asking this from. Enough said as he pretty much allowed Cassie and Meredith take advantage of this. If it was a prank about to happen, he was going to sit this gesture out.

Javier almost missed Annie, Sophia and Medea's appearance because of this interaction in fact. Almost, as he then gave a quick nod each in their direction.

"Well I do know you pretty well my dear Javy." She gave a little wink and grinned. They had been friends for awhile and more a long long time ago at school. So she felt she knew him better then some might. "Well I can't wait to see the little bundle of joy. I will certainly stop by soon." Maybe even more then once if they let her, she did like little ones. "Oh I don't fully know yet. I know I'll be vacationing and shopping, but other then that I'll have to figure out exactly where. What about you any big traveling plans?" She assumed maybe not with a baby, but who knew unless she asked.

As Maddox past by his chair Leo chirped happily. "Good evening Maddox; how did you like your first year teaching charms at Hogwarts? Was it like you had envisioned it to be?" He was interested to know. If he had enjoyed it then it was a good chance that he was staying on for another year.



Grinning over at Cassie he said “Yes, I know. I haven't forgotten all those boxes.” It still amazed him sometimes how much stuff women in comparison to men seemed to need. Shaking his head Leo said "No, I have some stuff left to pack. I’d very much like some help after I've been to see the eagles. I've got something I want to give you too." Yes, that he had, but he wasn’t going to spoil what it was at the feast with everyone within earshot to eavesdrop. He had learned his lesson with the rose.



He hadn't quite registered when Airey had showed up in his red shimmering suit but Leo definitely heard him. It was hard to not hear that Airey as he started to roar loudly across the table about astronomical weather and then insisting on a giant group hug. This was most peculiar. Leo wasn’t exactly sure how to react. He waited to see what everyone else would do.

In the end he chose just to wave and beam warmly in Airey’s direction. "I'm glad you are in a stellar mood tonight Airey! How long will we be able to see the quarter moon?"



Leo returned Annie's nod as she came up on the dais and claimed her seat, clad in an elegant black dress which he had a feeling wasn’t just a coincidence. "Good evening Annie, have you got any plans for the summer?" Could they expect her to accompany them to Loch Ness?



Leo was glancing at Nessa’s empty seat by his side wondering where she had gotten to when Sophia made her entrance on the dais dropping something in Maddox lap. As she passed by him Leo said "Good evening, Sophia. Are you looking forward to some summer vacation?"



"Good evening Medea." Leo called over with a cheery wave. "Got any special summer plans?" It was nice to see her at the feast. Medea had been a scarce figure during the year. Leo hoped that she’d accompany Airey on the summer field trip to Loch Ness.



Smiling kindly in Javy's direction Leo answered his eyes trailing across the table to find Javy’s. "I'm pretty much all set. It's just some book boxes that still need to be moved to the storage room before I leave tomorrow. I guess you're longing to go home to Piers and your little son tomorrow?" But it was nothing heavy or tiring plus Leo needed to give the Restricted Section a last look to make sure that all the books were secure behind the chains.



Leo was sipping on his pumpkin juice when Cossy slipped into his seat next to Sophia. Beaming over at his good friend he said “Evening Cossy, finally all packed for the summer?” It seemed like the most likely reason as to why Cossy had arrived to the feast a tad late.

Her smile might have grown with Leo, but she did enjoy when he was around. "I would love to come and help. Just stop by my office once you are done since you'll be on my floor and I can walk down with you." She'd even walk up to his eagles with him after the feast if he wanted. She bit her lip a little as he said he had something for her. "You have something for me?"What could it be? She did enjoy surprises and gifts, so this was just too exciting and she snapped a little.

Javy's greeting reminded her of one of the many reasons that she liked the Feast: seeing her colleagues. The castle and grounds could be so vast at times that she could go weeks without seeing some of her fellow staff members. "Yes, it has been quite awhile, hasn't it? I am doing quite well. And you look in good health yourself!"

Up until this point, she had been successfully ignoring Airey Flamsteed. But he kept going on and on about hugs. And really, it wasn't as if there was anything inherently wrong with hugging. More to calm him down than anything, she rose and approached the man, who seemed a little more emotionally unstable than normal, even. "I think a hug sounds like a fine idea, Airey." And without any other preamble, she embraced the Astronomy professor.

Yes, she would know that voice anywhere after working closely with the man for two years now. "Hello, Leobald. Wonderful evening, no?" She glanced up at the sky-ceiling. "Yes, I think a holiday is just what the Healer ordered. Any big plans?"

"Abraham! Congratulations are in order, I believe?" If she hadn't noticed the hourglasses on the way in, she certainly would have been able to tell from the decorations in the room.

Tiara was honestly lost with the whole snapping thing. She had noticed several students doing it, but now it looked like Cassiopeia was in on the trend as well. Had she started it, or was she just trying to be cool? "It promises to be good, yes." Though, as a detail-oriented person, it was slightly bothersome to be so in the dark about it at this point. "Do you take part in any form of exercise? You don't have to be involved in organized sport, you know." The woman seemed like the type to be concerned enough about her body. And as for the Gobstones.. Tiara neglected to comment. She had never been any good at the 'girl talk' topics. "Well I think a relaxing summer sounds excellent. Hopefully restful and rejuvenating for a new term!"

Yes yes, good evenings, summer plans..... Annie kind of nodded to Leo and Cassiopeia, but didn't reply yet because she was gathering her thoughts for the feast. The sooner she said something, the better, because maybe then Airey would sit down and stop trying to hug people. Ugh.

"Good evening," she announced, moving around the table to stand in the center of the dais and wait for everyone to get quiet. "As we gather here for our end-of-term feast, I would like to remind everyone that we DID lose a student this term." The Headmistress cleared her throat a little bit. "Gregorie Bastion was a Slytherin student who had transferred to Hogwarts a few years ago. He foolishly taunted acromantulas living in the Forbidden Forest, and paid the ultimate price for his mistake. But let's not forget Gregoire, and what we can learn from his death. Let us also take a moment of silence in the memory of a student, a classmate, a friend."

She bowed her head and illustrated the level of respect the students should be demonstrating for Gregoire's memory. After a long, quiet silence, Anastasia raised her head.

"On a lighter note, I would like to congratulate Hufflepuff on sweeping both the House and Gobstones cups. I would also like to personally thank all our staff and students for their efforts in mapping the castle. Although we did not complete our epic map THIS year, rest assured that it will not be forgotten. We will complete the map next year, with the continued assistance from Mr. Keating." Oh, and one last thing? "Don't forget to sign up for the summer field trip, everyone, and please, PLEASE stay safe this summer."

That was all. They could eat now. She came around to her seat and sank in, relieved that all that was over with. Now. Back to Leo and Cassie. "I'm looking forward to some quality time with my family," she replied to them simply. "A nice, quiet summer." In which her son would be turning ten. SHE COULD NOT EVEN BELIEVE IT.

Stepping up the final step, her gaze settled momentarily upon the charms professor. Oh?

Her eyebrows raised somewhat from curiosity.

"I..."

...did not have enough time to reply to the man.

Goodness Merlin!

Medea chuckled lightly under her breath, shaking her head a little at the sweet dramatics displayed by Airey. Although, the smile on her face faltered suddenly, and not entirely by the way he threw himself over the table. Glow? How- how did he know?

"Airey, milo..." she trailed off.

Well, it wasn't like she could stop him from hurling himself over the staff table now.

Nervously fiddling with her fingers as her hands hovered over her tummy, her attention was diverted from the chaos in front of her towards Leo. Oh, goodness, it has certainly been awhile since she'd seen the charming man. "I haff a few things I'm looking forvard to, yes," she nodded with a smle. "Ve should catch up after the feast?"

If he wanted to.

Clasping her fidgeting hands in front of her, Medea quickly took her seat, not wanting to be standing in front of everyone for too long. Plus, she hadn't spoken to Cassie in forEVer. "Oh, I'm doing simply vonderful," she grinned, pulling her seat in a little closer to the table. "It's nice to be back at least for the feast. How haff you been doing?"



Speaking of the feast...

She quieted down as the Headmistress began her speech. Oh yes, she heard about the tragic loss of Gregorie Bastion. Her shoulders slumped slightly as she gazed across to the students. It felt as though she was losing them all now.

But as Annie said, on a lighter note, she clapped along with those congratulating Hufflepuff. And the summer field trip? Medea beamed. They certainly were going to have fun, but in the meantime while waiting for summer to begin, there was food to be eaten!

Healer Murdoch was sitting there in her seat trying to ignore the chaos that was known as Professor Flamsteed. Could that man ever go anywhere without causing a scene? Thankful that he was at the opposite end of the table, Cece tunes him and his hugging nonsense out. She instead concentrated on what she was going to say to her snakes when she made her way down to their table after the headmistress gave her speech.

Speaking of...

Hearing mention of Gregoire's fate, Cece looked down at the students at the Slytherin table. If they all knew what was good for them, they would make sure they took that moment of silence to reflect on what had happened this term. And if they were smart they would think about how they were going to make sure nothing like that happened in the future.

Once the speech was over she quietly stood up and left the table. She had a speech of her own she wanted to give to the students in Slytherin.
