Come send a note or letter using your own owl or any of the school owls. Owls line the walls in nooks and on branches. Pellets, old animal skeletons, and belladonna berries are on the floor.
There are a few pieces of parchment, a ragged quill, and a dried-up bottle of ink on an old wooden desk in the corner should you need to add a postscript to your letter.

He had TWO motives for being here. The first was to send a letter home, and the second was to find a cat. See, he figured that cats like to hunt things and often they hunted birds. Where better to find birds - and maybe a cat - but in the owlery? Seen... he could be logical!
Entering the tower that was renown for bird droppings, feathers and lots of squawking tiptoed about to find his owl... he really didn't want to have to use a school one. Not because he had issues with them, he didn't, but there were only so many people and things that could get his letter to where it needed to go.
All the while, as he kept an eye out for Icarus, he also searched the space for sneaky felines, and he wasn't disappointed. A ginger - not unlike the one he'd seen in class that time, was eyeing off a few of the owls on lower perches. It's eyes - and head - moving from left to right to left again in a constant dance. It was almost like it was watching the tennis or something.
It came as no surprise to him that some of the owls were becoming restless, not all of them, but a few were ill at ease. A dusty black barn owl in particular seemed to be in a fray as it descended from its perch to his shoulder.
ICARUS!
"Hey boy," he greeted, gifting it an owl treat from his pocket. The barn owl took it in his beak and made short work of it, which was fine by him because there were things to be done. "Send this home to mum, okay?" he asked it rhetorically, knowing full well it wasn't going to respond. Giving Icarus a quick scratch on the head... and a kiss on its feathers, Zeke let the bird take his BRIGHT GREEN envelope and watched as he flew up and out through the open window bits. Just as this happened, the ginger cat made its move.
But instead of jumping and attacking, as Zeke had expected it would, it bounded about the tower room in a lap-like fashion, before pausing a short distance from him and turning in a small circle three times. Weirdo. Of course, he still had to finish his homework, so dropping his bag on the owlery floor, Zeke fished out his textbook and note taking implements.
Circle... circle... turning in a circle....
How many times was it? Three? YEAH, three!
Zeke beamed, pleased that he had the information he needed, AND he quite liked the reading too.
SPOILER!!: Cat #3
Saturday Day
Owlery
Ginger cat
I was crafty about this one, Professor, see cats like birds and there are lots of them in the owlery so that's where I went! I found a ginger cat, and it was looking at the owls and freaking some of them out. After I sent a letter off, it sorta did this running thing in like a lap around the room. Doing that doesn't really mean anything though, and I don't think it was really bothered by ME. Once it was done running, it did this other thing though, where it turned in a circle - but on the spot - three times. Noooowww, according to the text this is awesome, cause it means I'll be making a new friend. Considering I don't know that many people here - especially not outside my own year group, I guess it's cool that I'll be meeting new people and making friends with at least one of them. Maybe I should go talk to someone today to see if its them? Or would that be forcing it to come true?
Finished with his business, and content that he'd done his best for his homework task, Zeke packed up his things and departed the owlery.
EVER since his little baby brother had come into the world, the letters from home weren't exactly coming in as per the usual pattern. Sure, he assumed his parents were busy with the little guy - but that didn't mean they were suppose to just forget their first born. He frowned as he read the letter he had written one more time, maybe he should not write if they weren't interested in writing back. But he knew Sunny was expecting a letter -so he had to.
Noel wasn't really pleased.
He hadn't really noticed that lamb, his crup, had followed him to the owlery - granted he never really noticed what lamb did, unless the crup was pooping in the common room. So when the sudden barking started, Noel jumped. WHAT.
His letter dropped and he turned to see his crup trying to jump up toward a owl. All the screeching started and Noel just groaned. "Stop it, lamb! Ugh."

Dot had TWO letters - one for her parents and one for Angelo - and she hopped up the stairs to the owlery with them held tightly over her head. Well, a hop, a skip, a twirl, a very dangerous arabesque right on the edge of the platform before she pushed through the door...
And nearly ran over Noel and a crup trying to eat the owls. Honestly. Boys were so... boys. They were SO BOYS all the time. She paused right there in the doorway, letters still held over her head, foot hovering on the step, and her mouth open. Who would bring a dog in here anyway? No one was that crazy.
"Don't scare all the owls away before I send my letters. It'll break my heart into a million pieces."

Noel might have been ignoring the barking, and the potential eating of the owls - but when he heard someone speak, Noel pocketed his own letter and turned.
Oh look, it's Dot.
Noel grinned at hearing her, before moving over to lamb, "I promise I personally have nothing against them. Lamb here though ..." he added, while crouching down and whistling to get his crup's attention.
Lamb was obviously conflicted, but it eventually wavered his attention from the owl to his owner. Noel scratched below his ear and gave him a 'good boy'. When the situation was somewhat contained, he looked up at Dot again: "Sending it to someone special? Since your heart is involved and all"

"Don't worry about my heart," Dot tucked her letters into her pocket and scooted around Noel and the still-settling owls so she could scratch the dog right at the top of his sweet little head. Lamb was a strange name for any animal that wasn't a sheep, but she supposed there were people named after animals sometimes. Maybe there was a reason.
"I'm not sure it's wise to bring crups and owls together for social outings. They tend to not get along," she gave him a little grin in return, and then Dot was moving toward the owls at the far end of the owlery, the ones who hadn't just been harassed by a wild beast.
"Who are you sending an owl to? A brown eyed beauty?"

Noel didn't push it because yep, he didn't really need to worry about her heart.
He smiled when she scratched Lamb's head. The little guy liked it of course - content and happy with all the attention he was getting, he sat down. "I know, but I didn't bring him - he followed me. He is sneaky like that," It was true. Lamb had a habit of showing up where he wasn't suppose to. "You won't believe the number of times I have been kicked out of the library," he told her.
When he was sure Lamb wouldn't be attacking the owls he got up. "Do you have any pets?" he asked, moving to the owl he had decided previously to use. Taking out the letters from his pocket again, he smiled at her question, "Two blondes actually; my mother and my sister"

Dot attached the letter for her parents first, choosing a stubby little owl who wouldn't have to go too far and would get absolute love from her mother for bringing a message. She made sure the parchment was fixed fast before sending him on his way, and then her attention was back on Noel. And Lamb. And his two blondes.
"You've had a crup in the library? You're mad. You aren't even meant to bring dogs to Hogwarts, and you let yours into the library?" Her giggle peeled loudly against the rafters and made the owls nearest to her shift their wings uneasily. Oops. Too loud.
"I have a gray kneazle called Nimbus. And a brother called Bubba. That last owl was to my parents to remind them to tell Bubba that I'm coming home soon so he isn't surprised about it." She tapped a big barn owl to lift up a leg for Angelo's owl. "He's a baby. How old is your sister?" So he wasn't owling Maddie?

Noel gave her a confused look. "Really?" Mad, yes but he wasn't allowed to have a crup at Hogwarts? He wasn't told of this! Despite the obvious confusion, Noel grinned when she giggled. WHY was she finding this so funny? He honestly had no idea Lamb was not allowed at Hogwarts! Why had the professors not said anything?
Noel tied the letters to the owl while listening. Ooh. "Kneazles are famous in girls, aren't they?" he randomly mused, remembering Maddie's Zeus.
When the owl was ready to take flight, Noel took a step back before turning to her. "You have a baby brother? Me too. Well I am told that I do now, I haven't met him yet," He told her, taking a look at the owl flying away. Why were they exchanging family things again? He wasn't sure. "She is six"
