Madame Puddifoot's is a quiet tea shop where you can meet up with your friends.
The tea shop is laid out in a typical English tea room fashion. Lace doilies cover each table on top of the flower patterned table cloths. In the middle of each is a small container with a tea light candle, ready to be lit for those on a romantic retreat. The windows are half covered by fancy net curtains, leaving just enough room at the top to see over and down Hogsmeade's High Street. Little flower and heart covered cushions are on each seat awaiting your arrival.
Sapphira Puddifoot keeps the shop this way because she has to. But she has no desire to look upon all the fancy decorations herself, which is why you'll most likely find her in the back room. She'll come and serve you, but make sure you know what you want to order as she doesn't have all day.

Kace decided to go into Madame Puddifoot's to celebrate their three year anniversary. He wasn't there to celebrate it with her during christmas and new years so he thought to make it up to her. He was wearing his best clothes possible during the winter time. He had his light blue sweater on and khakis and slacks on. He wasn't really nervous anymore because he knew Emmy would love his outfit. She loved anything he did for her. The main thing she didn't know he was surprising her by coming into this shop. He even had a little gift for her. His mom helped him picked it out. He really hoped she liked it.
As he fiddled with his gift in his pocket, he took a table near the window. He liked seeing the view of shoppers and the atmosphere of Hogsmeade. He took a menu and began to look and see what he was in the mood for.

It could have been the choice of clothing but she also knew that it was the weather, she hated the winter. It was nice to look at but it was very dark and cold.

He felt the door open and he felt the wind chill outside and he looked up and there she was. Emmy being as beautiful as ever. He smiled widely and got up from his seat and waved to her. "Hey Emms. You look beautiful.." he kissed her tenderly as a greeting. He loves that she kept her country style. She always wore cowboy boots and he loves that about her.
He pulled out the seat for her to sit on being the gentlemen he was trained to be. Once he saw her sat down he walked over to his seat and he fidgeted with his gift and he felt it was the time to give it to her. "I have something for you.." He held out his box and waited to see her reaction.

The four year old leapling went to their self-declared table to wait for his girlfriend. In his hands he held some nice looking flowers that he picked from the garden.
They were partially damaged at first thanks to the nasty gnome he had to wrestle it back from, but good old spellotape helped fix it as he taped them all together into resembling a boquet. Completely worth it as he beamed.

With her dark red coat buttoned all the way up to her chin and cute ears muffs covering her ears she set off from the castle to meet Luc in Puddifoot's.
As she came inside the tea shop she made sure she hadn't lost the magazine she had gotten for him via her aunt. Spotting Luc at their table she beamed broadly as she reached him taking note of the flowers. Leaning down to give him a light peck on the cheek she said "Hi Luc!"
Slipping into the empty chair next her boyfriend Claudette asked "Are those for me? I've got something for you too." drawing the magazine out of her coat she placed it in front of him on the table.
Holding open the door to the tea shop for his girlfrend, Leo asked "Do you want to order first or find a table?" Preferably a table that wasn't in the thick of student's. Leo knew that word probably had gotten out that he and Cassie were a couple but they didn't need to add fuel to the gossip mill.
Spotting an empty table in a corner a little off to the side near a window that looked inviting Leo pointed to it saying "That table looks good and those cushions look comfy. Shall we take that?"

She got him something too, as he glanced at the magazine.. before gaping, "That's.. this.. this is the first issue of Auror's Digest. How did you- oh nevermind." He gave her one of his lion hugs, "I LOVE YOU!" .... that was loud, wasn't it? Oops. Welp, least he was being honest, hehe. "Happy anniversary." Luc continued his smile after releasing her, hoping his big mouth didn't cost him again.

The big puff sees Emmy blushing and he grins. He just loves the way she blushes. He thinks it the most adorable thing ever. "Your blushing is adorable." he strokes her cheek delicately. "It was no problem at all. I hope you wear it is all.." I mean his mother even loves the ring. If Emmy doesn't want it, he can surely give it to his mother. Nah he wouldn't but the offer still stands.
He hears Emmy's sigh of relief and he laughed at that. Did she seriously think he was proposing to her? Oh not now. They were too young. He chuckled only for her and he shook his head. "I understand Emms. Don't worry I just wanted to give you something jewlery related besides necklaces because I always give you those. I wanted to be different." He began to look at his menu because his stomach was growling. He wanted something to eat. He heard her comment and he grinned and leaned over the table and kissed her tenderly. "I am glad Emms." he smiled widely.
Right now onto food. "What are you thinking of having. Oh and try on the ring.." he said wondering if it fit.
What had drawn Amur inside the shop wasn't the promise of shelter from the cold outside. It wasn't even really the plush pillows either, though they did look comfy. Nope, it was the doilies. Legit, 100% the lace doilies. They drew her like light-bulbs drew moths.
She didn't even really register stomping off her boots in the entry way or pulling her toque from her head before sitting down at one of the available tables. Full awareness came back to her when she reached out and carefully ran her fingers over the lacing. They were beautiful.
Settling her elbows on the table, Amur cradled her chin in one hand and played with the edge of the doilie with the other. It reminded her of being back on the farm, sitting at her grandparents dinning table as they told one of their stories or talk about muggle and wizarding news alike.
Sighing, Amur absently turned her attention to the menu board. To eat, or not to eat.

This was so fun! The students all seemed so happy to be out and about at Hogsmeade. It was just a wonderful time and Cassie couldn't be happier to be able to leave the castle and go out as well. Usually taking stay back duty, she had other plans this time around. Yes, fun plans, with Leo! He was opening the door for her! EEEP! Even after how many countless dates since summer she still beamed when he did the sweetest things!
"Why thank you." Slipping her arm through his as she made her way into the shop. "Oh we could find a seat first." Looking around it was super crowded, maybe they should come one evening when it wasn't student weekend, so have some more private date time. She'd certainly have to suggest that.
As he found a table she grinned, "Just perfect!" Anything would be perfect though. She had fun pretty much everywhere she went. "I'm glad we got to come out today." Taking a seat she looked around, "The students look like they are having a good time." Goodness one was being loud with his love for someone else. She chuckled a bit, "So what do you think you are going to have?" Sweets and Tea were always a win in her book.

It was only Luc that ever called her that. Nobody else did. She liked it though. It sounded special. Accpeting the flowers she lowered her head to smell the flowers. Feeling the sticky substance stick to her fingers that Claudette identified as spellotape she asked utterly confused. "Luc, why is there spellotape on the flowers?" Was it to disguise a flower accident?
The reaction she got from giving Luc an auror magazine was nothing she had even considered could come over his lips in a very public place. Feeling her face go super warm Claudette brushed her blond hair out her face, blue eyes glancing around the tea shop before they stopped and focused on Luc as she replied in a much quieter tone. "I love you too."
Hoping that not everyone in the tea shop was staring at them Claudette asked "So should we get cake to celebrate our anniversary?"

Cheesecake.. maybe, carrotcake.. hmm sounded good, or maybe Welsh cakes. Oh this was so hard to decide. What to pick. Hearing Leo say what he was having she just decided to pick at random. Closing her eyes and moving her finger she opened them and smiled. [b] "I think I'm going to have tea and Cheesecake."
There picked, she set down the menu and looked happily at Leo. Giggling a bit, "Oh no, Nessa understands. She actually has her own boyfriend now. He's a Quidditch manager." This was exciting news she enjoyed sharing. "We are hoping to double date sometime." Would he be alright being with the Cannon's manager for an evening. "Do you follow quidditch?" Maybe he had a favorite team. She wasn't sure if she could even say one team other then the Cannons now.
"If we ever find a night that we both are off and not having staff duties I know a fabulous little cafe we could have dinner at." It was a family owned place in the muggle town, but she hoped he wouldn't mind that. Dates were fun no matter where they were held.

Luc merely smiled when she asked about the spellotape. "I used it to help hold them all together so it could look even more pretty-" Sheepishly rubbing the hair under his hat as he looked at those cute little curious blue eyes of hers. Of course he couldn't hide the whole truth, "aaaand it helped hide some of the teeth marks from some stubborn Gnomes from Professor Thompson's garden by his barnyard left on them. I was picking them out when they decided to try to make a lunch out of the ones that weren't dead." Welp, that was it. "Do they still look alright?" He would happily run out to go find some more if needed. Luc was like that.
Just as his face was beginning to redden from that outburst. He felt more relieved to hear her return those words. So relieved he leaned over to kiss her cheek again, "Sorry about that." The volume of it, not the words of affection he said of course. Hehe. So about that cake. "Sure! Sounds yummy." He looked around for the keeper of the place so they could like order. He did notice however the librarian. Her uncle was here too. Blinking at the sight of him with the Divination Professor. It was a little strange to him seeing Professors in here but oh well. Grayson, having just stepped into the shop and held the door out for a particular Slytherin, STARED at the sight in front of him. This was NOT his setting. Not in a million years. It looked like something out of a mushy gushy romantic movie, for Merlin's sake! A look of disgust crossed his face as he took in everything in front of him, from the flowers to the heart shaped cushions and.........were those DOILIES?! Oh jeez, this was gonna be a lot harder than he first thought it would be.
Ruby. Ruby would like it, no doubt.
And so, the Slytherin turned to face his date, trying to mask the look of disgust with a smile. "What do you think? Am I romantic or what?" C'mon, he had to get some bonus points for this. It wasn't everyday that Grayson Whitlock suited up and took a girl out on a date.
And he was still holding onto her hand because of how nice that felt.

She also wasn't oblivious about Grayson not so much being into it, but honestly that made it even better since it meant he was doing this for HER and howw could she not be happy about that?? The handholding too, that made her happy, because it meant she could show him off and lay claim all at the same time. And he looked so good all cleaned up too, she'd admired him and complimented him the whole way down to the village. Didn't hurt keeping his ego up a little bit after all.
"Its PERFECT."but honestly only because she was here with him. "But we'll see with the romance." The challenge was still on, basically. Just walking into Puddifoots wasn't enough by any stretch. Even if it WAS the perfect place for dates.

"See anything you like?" She had a love for sweet treats as well as a love for the taste of Grayson's lips, right?

"..... good question." Ruby said, narrowing her eyes slightly. He sort of had, to one unspoken challenge... which was what had caused their very very brief non-speaking period, and resulted in him asking her on this date to make it up to her. Buuuuuut she was determined to enjoy herself so she fluffed her hair and in doing so, mentally banished thinking about the things that got her churned up. Or those things, at least.
Once he was seated she reached her foot out so that their legs were touching at the ankles. It just felt better to be touching him, honestly, even harmless little contact like that.
As for the menu, she was mentally counting up the calories, even as she tried to decipher the words. Painstaking. Menus sucked. She bit her lip. The fancy font was defeating her.
"..... Gray? Can you...." She hesitated. How did you ask someone to a) read out a menu and make yourself look like an idiot in the process, b) ask them to order something healthy for you because eating gross fattening stuff gave you incredible anxiety thanks to motherly pressure, or c) all of the above? If this date situation had been happening earlier in their... acquaintance, Ruby would simply have flipped her hair and challenged him to order for her, like a gentleman. A test in that and everything too. She'd done it before and not all boys passed.
Because boys were usually pretty hopeless about such things.
Buuut..... it was different now. She took a breath. "I don't... see anything I like because I can't... read it."
She looked down at the table, not wanting to see the look on his face.

All of this news. Kinda big, wasn't it? And probably not something you'd go around and shout about it to the world. It was probably because of this that made Grayson keep his eyes on her and her only. It didn't even occur to him to question why he was finding out about this now and not before. He was kinda thinking about HOW she managed to get through her OWLs and all those years of education. How did she survive?!
You know what? Grayson did NOT know what to say right about now. How do you react to something like that? So, instead, he reached over and took hold of her hand, opting to hold onto that instead and give her a small smile. "I....... I didn't......" LOL, what are words? "I'm really sorry, Rubes."
