The Hooligan Hole. Kyroh hated the name already. And he didn't hate much stuff. Bad guys. Cuts. Cutty. And-some..bug type crawling things. That was it really. But it wasn't like he hated anything else. Not even Professor Catman for making him go to a room he hated.

With his head hung low the third year slowly made his way to the room. The dungeon the dark and cold and echo and it didn't help his mood or the fact that he was going to be in a room named something he HATED.

He was not a hooligan. As he reached the dungeon he took a deep breath before walking in.

He didn't know how any of this was going to go. What what he did know was that the next time the professor turned into a cat and decided to sleep wherever, Kyroh was going to sit on him.

Second night of detention, this should be....fun. As fun as staying in a room with a boy that thought he knew things but didn't know that he actually didn't know. That was probably the worst kind of Ravenclaw; the hell had he set himself up for?

Ugh.

Hands buried deep in his pockets, stride somewhat lazy, Maddox made his way into the Hooligan Hole. Better than the Dueling Dwelling he'd admit but eh, he didn't want to be here anymore than the last one. Why did children have to be rotten? He could be curled up asleep now or lost in a good book.

"Good evening Mister Scabior. I'll be having your wand now." Hand extended, fingers wiggling. Give it here.

One second he was alone, and the next the Professor was in the room. Asking for his WAND.

It was HIS.

Why would he want it anyways!? Didn't the Professor have his own wand? What kind of Professors took wands? Was he some sort of wand thief? Dima had said that the man had tried to kidnap him, so was a kidnapping wand stealer?!

Swallowing hard Kyroh shook his head. "Don't think my mum would like me giving my wand away. She paid good money for it." He hadn't remembered exactly how much money, but it had been enough. Enough for Catman NOT TO GET HIS WAND.

His wand. Mum bought it. Not handing it over. This night was going to be SO fun, couldn't you already tell? Maddox allowed himself a chilling grin, one that implied he knew something the young claw didn't while showcasing the canines he usually tried to conceal. "You seem to forget, my asking was nothing if not polite." Not being one to waste time on undue pleasantries, the Professor summoned the boys wand. "You'd have done better handing it over, now you'll have to tell your mum you've lost it." And with a tap the boy's wand vanished back to the ever-locked cabinet in his office.

"You'll have plenty you'll need to tell her by the time we're through here." And then the grin vanished altogether as did any sign of the man's patience he once possessed.

"Now let's start this simple. Can you tell me what those are?" He asked, pointing to the corner of the room where a table with large stacks of dictionaries sat.

The Professor had pointy teeth and a pretty creepy smile.

Kyroh would have pointed it out if his wand hadn't flown out of his holster and into the mans HANDS. He was touching HIS wand, and the third year had not given him permission to touch it. Was that even legal? Could he call the Auror's?

The thought had jus entered his mind when suddenly his wand vanished gone from even Quigley's possession.

Standing in confusion, Kyroh glanced at the man for a while, before slowly making his away around him in a circle as if expecting for the stick to appear.

He had NOT lost his wand it had been TAKEN from him and he didn't know why but he wanted it NOW.

How was he suppose to be a Wizard without it?

Ignoring the books he made his way back to face the Professor. "I want my wand."

Maddox conjured himself a chair then flopped into it with one leg propped lazily over the arm of the chair, figuring this was going to take longer than even HE anticipated. Shame that, the man had made plans to turn in early tonight and would now have to make himself comfortable down here. The boy went around maybe one other circle (who had time to keep count) before coming back to him, looking him dead in the eyes and saying he wanted his wand back.

Maddox nodded as if in perfect understanding. "Cool story bro." He nodded toward the desk again. "What are those?"

His wand was gone.

He didn't have it.

And he didn't understand why.

If there was one thing that Kyroh hated most in whole the world, it was not being able to even comprehend what was going on. Which was how he felt now. His fingernails dug into his palms to stop his hands from shaking.

He was in detention because he had said stuff to the Professor. Alright. The third year got that. But at was about as far as it went. He didn't even know what detention at Hogwarts entailed. It wasn't like Dima or Maddie or Dot or Toby ever got in trouble and told him about it.

Brown eyes stuck on Quigley Kyroh shook his head slowly. "I don't know why you're asking me. You already know." He was confused and frustrated and he wanted his wand back and did NOT want to look at the Professor anymore.

"I don't suppose you do know, Mister Scabior." Lookit him already getting half the gist. "You don't know and you won't know because you refuse to do as you're told. I thought know-it-alls like you knew...well, everything." He commented idly. This detention would indeed drag on and it was thanks to the Ravenclaw standing before him.

"We can continue playing the stubborn game all night or you can tell me what that stack up there is and we can be one step closer to ending this detention and getting you back on the right track."

When you thought about it, there was really only one way to curve a know-it-all but they would never get to that part if he kept resisting.

To think he was meant to be the logical one. How logical when questioning the man who could keep him down here forever?

"Kyroh, Kyroh, Kyroh Scabior."

The Headmistress appeared in the dungeon, though no one had heard the door open or close. If one even looked at it now, it appeared just as tightly closed as it had been when Quigley entered last. But this was the Headmistress of Hogwarts... she had her ways around the castle.

"Kyroh Scabior," the redhead repeated faintly, coming to a stop beside the Charms professor. "Your mother may have purchased your wand but I know your father... and I daresay this stubborn routine is most unbefitting for a young man." Or was the Ravenclaw still a little boy? She raised an eyebrow at him and crossed her arms. "Cooperate with the professor."

"I don't know everything! I'm thirteen not seventy-two!" If he knew everything then why would he even be at school learning stuff? All he knew right now was that his wand was currently NOT in his possession and it was taken against his will and he wanted it BACK.

He would have said MORE about NOT being stubborn if a voice in the room hadn't dragged his attention away from the man.

Kyroh didn't know when, or why or HOW the Headmistress had even entered the room. But the point was she was HERE. Saying his name in a slightly scary way and standing beside the wand thief catman extraordinaire.

Which probably meant.....he was in loads of trouble.

Was he going to get kicked out of Hogwarts?

As Bunz began to speak, Kyroh focused his attention on her. Even if she was going to kick him out of the castle at least SHE wasn't a wand thief. "I already know that." That she knew his father, duh. NOT that being stubborn was unbefitting, though that didn't matter anyways because he wasn't even being stubborn.

Unclenching his fist he turned back to the Professor. "They're a bunch of dictionaries." Wand now please?

He might have been stunned at the 'sudden appearance' of the Headmistress were it not for the fact he'd been expecting the her at some point in the evening. "Thought you were going to miss half the fun." He quipped by way of greeting. 'Good evening' was so mainstream. Maddox couldn't say for sure how long she'd been there but he hoped she'd caught most of the boy's stubborn behaviour...maybe she had with the light warning she'd given.

So yes Mister Scabior, cooperate.

Maddox put on a sarcastically stunned expression. "You mean to tell me that after the way you were acting in my class you don't, in fact, know everything? It's quite the surprise I'll admit and I daresay that revelation is showing it's ugly head right now."

With a flick of his wand the dictionaries changed to a pitcher of lemonade. "You're wrong, those aren't dictionaries Mister Scabior, that is a drink." Honestly, you think the snotty know-it-all would be able to keep up. "Let's try something simpler." With another flick the pitcher transformed into a box of quills. "What are those?"

Miss the fun? Her? Neverrrrr. Anastasia heartily approved of detentions and so far, Quigley's were not disappointing her. So she responded to his greeting with the thinnest of smiles, before looking back toward Kyroh again.

Aha, this was a matter of his Ravenclawness AND stubborness getting in the way of proper learning. She saw. The Headmistress let out a small, quiet chuckle when the dictionaries became lemonade, but didn't say anything else. She was just going to watch the boy for now, but perhaps Kyroh would actually move his legs over to give the 'box of quills' a proper checkout this time, hmm? Instead of ASSUMING things?

The next second the dictionaries were gone and instead just a pitcher of who knew what.

Which was strange because he knew he hadn't been seeing things. Quigley just decided to change the items last minute. And then he changed it AGAIN. Not letting the headmistresses presence get to him, Kyroh shrugged.

"No clue. Guess i'm too stupid to answer your question." Could he go now? WITH his wand?

Normally, Maddox might have gotten cross at the continued stubborn act when he was trying to get them all to leave the dungeons as soon as possible but maybe, just maybe this time when Mister Scabior spoke it was to his own benefit. With a lazy stretch, the Professor slipped out of the chair and conjured a chalk board. "No clue...because you're too stupid to answer my questions..." And a nod of feigned compassion and understanding.

No. He was actually not to stupid he just- Kyroh's eyes flickered to the chalkboard that appeared and his words that were written out before him. He was so focused on he words that he barely took notice to the fact that the Professor had started speaking again.

Did he see how that worked?

....."But Professors get fired all the time." In that case would the Professor be the one with the right answers? Kyroh really didn't think so. He watched as more words were written on the board, eyebrows cocked just slightly. "And what if I already know what you're teaching because of my textbooks?" He didn't want HIM to take credit for what he had already learned.

Kyroh wasn't able to ask anymore questions before another line was written on the board.

He was suppose to write THAT. That he was stupid and disrespectful and knew nothing. Which basically meant that he was useless. He didn't feel that useless. He stopped for a second, taking the time to wipe he hands on his pants.

If the Professor thought he was useless would he give him his wand back?

......"Okay."

Taking the chalk from the Professor, Kyroh stood on his tippy toes, and began to write.

Pausing mid sentence Kyroh squinted. Was that small enough for him? Hesitantly he looked behind and shook off his hand. This was going to take forever.

Was he gonna respond to anything the Ravenclaw just said? Nope. Didn't feel like it. Didn't feel like pointing out the kid was being a brat. Honestly, all he felt like was a good sleep. Getting into another bout with the boy would only keep him away from his bed longer so Maddox went and flopped back in his seat, content to pretend he'd never heard.

His eyes flicked back to the board as few of the sentences scrambled themselves with letters vanishing when they weren't needed until they spelled a word.

The first word of the evening.

A charmed chalkboard and writing lines --- such a traditional punishment, and Anastasia approved. Now then, however, Kyroh had said that professors get fired all the time, and she certainly didn't think so. The redhead conjured herself a chair and sat down with a flourish of skirts. She was quiet for a few more minutes, watching, and then piped up.

"Professors don't get fired all the time at Hogwarts, Kyroh, and certainly not for lack of knowledge or poor qualifications." She paused and looked at Maddox. "I would say that ninety percent who leave do so for personal reasons or for other pursuits." Or because they grew tired of dealing with annoying little know-it-all brats....

Just as he had finished writing his line, the sentence began to shrink until there was only one word left. Was he suppose to only spell that one word now? Was he done with the rest of the sentence? But he hadn't copied it a hundred times yet......

Biting his tongue the boy turned back to face the board. There was no point in even asking Quigley what he wanted.

He'd probably just ignore him or think he was being rude if he pointed out that he hadn't managed to get a hundred lines of the sentences.

Shaking his hand off he raised it again and started writing.

Dropping his arm for a second he gazed up at the word. It didn't even look like a real thing anymore and that was NOT because the messy scribbles that the chalkboard writing was producing. Turning to the Headmistress the third year opened is mouth but no words escaped. "I didn't......" Trailing off Kyroh shook his head. Whatever. It didn't even matter. Turning back to the boardhe started etching out more messy scribbles.

Ah, see, he didn't need to provide an answer, not when his boss lady who did the firing was hear to correct him. "Something else you don't seem to know well enough about but insist on saying." Kinda like having the spell there on the board but insisting the man hadn't told them yet. And oh my, Mister Scabior seemed to have lost the point. Maddox didn't stop him, figuring the board would on its own so he reclined in his chair and let him continue for however long he would be allowed to.

The board shook violently, causing the wall to tremor as well before giving a light shock at the boy's writing hand to make him stop. Then the words he'd written stretched and changed until they were the sentences from earlier save the first line that remained as before.

And look at that, he didn't even have to lift a finger. The Professor continued watching the board, until the second line began changing too, with everything disappearing until it only left one right there under the word 'insolent' but the rest of the lines remained unchanged.

The mans voice caused his grip to tighten on the chalk. Kyroh wasn't going to say anything before but he made it HARD. I wasn't like he had said he was just talking about Professor in Hogwarts. Just Professors in GENERAL, okay? BESIDES. The man made it sound like if he didn't know anything he just wasn't suppose to talk about it at all, which seemed silly. Because then how would he ask questions about it to learn? Did he just want him to sit there and say nothing?

He was just about to write the word again when a sudden jolt took over his fingers. Dropping the chalk, Kyroh jumped back more in shock than in pain, as a new word was added to the board.

Gazing up at the new word he shook his head before reaching to pick up the piece of chalk that had broken into a few pieces. Moving forward with a small piece between his fingers he began writing again.

He wasn't even looking at the words as words anymore. Just lines that were connected together. When he thought of them as words it made his chest hurt and his eyes start to water.

The piece of chalk finished just when his arm was starting to feel as though it had been turned to lead, taking another one of the broken pieces from the ground Kyroh turned around at the Professor deciding break his vow of silence. "I don't think I like you very much Sir."

He didn't think he liked him very much.

"I'm gutted, truly." He said so casually one might have to wonder if he was paying any attention to a thing the boy was saying at all. "Your liking me would be all the validation I need."

Maddox twisted in his seat, watching the words scrawled on the board as another line did some rearranging to spell another word.

"That should do it, Mister Scabior." He said after watching him write for a bit longer. Maddox conjured a chair for the desk that held the quills and conjured a piece of parchment as well. "I think those words about sum it up. Now I need you to write an owl to your parents, explaining your behaviour while incorporating those words. You seemed very fond of the concept of a dictionary, changing the tense as needs be to make it fit the sentences should be easy enough. Get that done and you can leave--if it meets my standards."

He wanted to be sure the kid didn't tell some cotton kitten story that fluffed his behaviour first. Children were not to be trusted.

Quigley was being sarcastic.

Kyroh turned back to the board and continued to write even if his fingers were starting to cramp up and his hand was starting to smudge the words. He didn't have to look at the board anymore to see the lines required. He didn't even have to think about about them. His hand made formed the words and the sentences and with each new line he couldn't help but wonder more and more if the words were actually true.

The third year, didn't stop even with the pain until the man spoke again.

Nodding slowly, Kyroh took a seat and began to write.

His words were large, messy and all over the place. But was hard to make something neat when it felt like he had been writing for hours. Walking over to Catman he held out the parchment without saying a word.

Maddox took the parchment when it was offered and glanced over it. The expression his face held was impassive and only his eyes seemed to moved as they scanned line after line. Did this surprise him? The tone of the letter? The way Kyroh essentially missed the point when writing it? Not at all, kid was a Ravenclaw, they were surprisingly slow at this sort of thing.

He nodded slowly after he was done the second reading then ripped the parchment in two and conjured another.

"Try again. We're going for repentant here Mister Scabior." Clearly he would have to write one to the parents himself as well. This is why you didn't trust children.

They could do no wrong in their own eyes. Hopefully the same couldn't be said for the eyes of this one's parents.

"Fair attempt though. I like the last bit. You can keep it."

Neverrrr.

The Headmistress stood up to stretch her legs while Kyroh wrote to his parents; a nice touch if she did say so herself. "I would stay and watch what he produces," she murmured to the Charms professor, "but I think you have a handle on this one." To Kyroh, the Headmistress added, "And don't call yourself stupid, Kyroh, it's a self-given title and one entirely untrue for you."

Soo. There was that. She nodded to Quigley and turned on her heel, gracefully leaving the dungeon almost as quietly as she had entered. The door was a bit creakier now and she wasn't particularly trying to be quiet.
