Exploring is what he was doing.

He'd passed the blasted statue so many times in his one and a bit years... but he never stopped to have a closer look. In addition to that, he'd heard rumours which lead him to actually OPEN his Hogwarts, A History textbook. Those such rumours came to be truth, but with that, an ugly truth.

Gregory the Smarmy concealed a passage to OUTSIDE the school... which was apparently caved in during the Battle of Hogwarts. Only... he wanted to see this for himself. PERHAPS, it might just mean moving some rocks and bricks or whatever was blocking it. Maybe.

Humming.

That's what Chance was doing as he walked around Hogwarts, looking for something, ANYTHING to do.

He had finely made it to the fifth floor when he spotted a second year. He was looking at a statue rather intently. Curiosity took hold of Chance. Walking toward him, eyeing the boy.

Was it the statue? Chance looked at the statue he had passed many times. Nothing seemed odd or weird about it.

"Hey, alright there?" Chance finally asked when he was right next to the boy. BecAuse curious.

He didn't even understand how the thing worked... like WHERE exactly was the passage, and HOW was he supposed to get to it? Siiiigghhh... something the history book had failed to mention.

Zeke was still standing there when a voice announced that he had company, and a quick turn to his side informed him that it was a house mate - one he didn't really know. "Yeah, kinda, I dunno..." SO MANY EMOTIONS. "There used to be a hidden passage hidden by this statue that took you out of the school grounds, and I want to see it... I just don't know how." He didn't mention that the passage didn't work anymore, cause that was all conjecture as far as he was concerned. He'd only believe it when he saw it.

"Any ideas?"

A SECRET PASSAGE??? And one Chance didnt know about?

He was in awe.

"How? Where? How do you know this is a secret passage?" Chance asked the younger boy as he walked closer to the statue and peered at it. Chance had found many secret passages. Of course, they were closed off because of the war. But, he had found them none the less!

So how had this younger year beat him to a secret passage? This kid was going to be impressive! Chance knocked on the statue. Seemed like solid rock to him. "Is there a way to pull it over, or?" Chance asked as he placed his hands on either side of the statue.

He looked back at the boy. "Well are you going to help?"

He could relate to the older boy, that look on his face. They were standing in front of what was ONE OF THE COOLEST THINGS IN HOGWARTS... a way out, or at least, it used to be away out.

How? Where? How did he know? Zeke shrugged, "I read about it, in you know... that big book... Hogwarts, A History." And that was all he was admitting to reading. He did not read. "I wondered if it might need pushing, or a password, or tapping, or licking or something weird." honestly, he was clueless.

BUT...

Seemed as though this dude was in a hurry. "Oh... yeah, RIGHT!" he exclaimed, jumping forward to help with the pushing, or were they pulling? pushing would be easier. "I'm... Zeke... by the way," he said between exerting his energy on the statue.
