| | |  Gobstones Preliminary Match: Slytherin vs. Gryffindor
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors closed against the early autumn morning chill. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Botros and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first preliminary match.
The red and green marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Slytherin and Gryffindor Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

The two boys swung their shooters in unison and kicked at their stones. The red stone rolled around a series of obstables before it stopped. The green stone had more speed than it's opponent and surpassed it's opponent by rounding for more obstacles before it stopped.

As the fourth round commenced both teams switched players after the mandatory break. Bianca Rush and Zeke Rogers took to the court with their shooters. The two swung their shooters and kicked their stones forward. The red stone rolled around a few obstacles before it stopped and spitted out a scent of smelly gob. The green stone rolled and kept rolling way past its opponent and a handful of obstacles before it too stopped.
"1 point to Slytherin!" Leo announced. The match was getting tighter.

Zeke and Bianca stayed on for another shot. They swung their shooters in unison at Mr Kitridge's signal. The green stone rolled only a few meters before it knocked straight into a giant obstacle that just loomed up in front of it. The red stone easily rounded it's opponent and the giant obstacle before it continued on to pass a series of obstacles until it too smacked into a obstacle. The scent of gob was still heavy in the air.

Neither team wanted to switch players and those who were on the bench were eagerly cheering on Bianca and Zeke so they stayed. The duo swung their shooters and kicked their forward once more. The green stone rolled around a few obstcles before it lost it's speed and stopped in the middle of the court. Luckily for the teams and spectators no smelly gob was fired out. The red stone rolled past obstacles and around it's opponent and onwards until it ran out of speed just before knocking into a new obstacle.

The last encounter between Slytherin and Gryffindor was concluded by the facing off between Rogers and Rush. Both players did their best in this last turn with their shooting. The red stone raced towards the goal and was the first to touch the Jack Stone, causing Mr Kitridge to start applauding a little too enthusiastically-- not because it was Gryffindor, but because it was finally over and they would all go back to their headquarters to eat some food.
"Gryffindor wins!" He announced, clapping lightly, "Great game Slytherins, you were fantastic as well. Thank you everyone for watching and taking time out of your leissure time to enjoy this match today. There are many matches left in the season so make sure to attend those as well. Today's player of the match is Zeke Rogers, thank you for your dedication to the game." He offered flashed Zeke a big smile. "Off you go to your common rooms for hanging out with your housemates or even studying." Leo ushered everyone out, out, out.
