Fingers chubby little disgusting fingers were pressing against her…okay so they weren’t so chubby but really she still wasn’t all that interested in the affairs of little kids. First years included. They were just so little and gross. They probably picked their noses!
Puck made a face at the little kid in front of her until it left. Finally. She was the next in line. Hopefully no little creeps would touch her. She’d scream or hex them. God if she could only hex them.

While Ana had intended to stay with Kenzie for the train ride she needed snacks if she was going to survive. Seeing as they didn't want to lose their compartment she'd left Kenzie to mind it while she grabbed enough food for them to be happy for the rest of the trip. Of course the issue with this was running into little kids.
As she reached the food trolley she was almost barrelled into by a little hooligan that was picking their nose and she gave a slightly undignified squeak as she jumped out of the way. "Why do they let kids wander the train. Surely they could confine them in a compartment or something," Ana complained as she spied another girl, thankfully not a child, waiting to get snacks. She normally wouldn't have said anything, what with most of her friends liking children for some unfathomable reason, but this girl had seemed none too impressed with the kid either.

The voice behind her just made Puck grin, someone else didn’t like kids? Practically unheard of with this school really, it was like loving little tyrants was a perquisite to going to the darn school. They obviously had left that memo out of her school letter.
“I would love if they did that” she sighed in relief at the thought god, she wouldn’t have to deal with the nose-flicking little creeps anymore that would be lovely. Puck turned and sent the other girl a quick grin, sure she had seen her around but she’d never really introduced herself before…sure she saw her around but Puck well she was Puck. She wasn’t just going to walk up to a stranger and say I like your hair, my name is from Shakespeare and I don’t like little kids. That would be weird and well she was Puck and Puck was not weird.

Ana giggled slightly as the girl agreed with her. The sigh might have been overdoing it a bit but it certainly showed that they were both slightly anti-children. At least loud, slightly gross ones. The ones that were seen but not heard like back in the really old days weren't too bad Ana supposed.
Actually looking at the girl Ana figured she was slightly familiar, although she couldn't put a name to the face. She also liked her outfit and seeing that they'd just bonded over their dislike of kids Ana gave her a friendly smile and figured she might as well introduce herself, even though it was unlikely she'd see the girl again.
"I'm Anastasia. Girl who hates kids but is surrounded by a bunch of weirdo's who love them and insist on having them. And you are?" she asked, giving the girl a cheeky smirk as she talked. It might not be the most formal of introductions but Ana didn't much care about that at the moment.

Puck grinned back at the girl, okay so yeah the sigh was overkill but it was nice to find someone who also didn’t want little leeching things hanging off of them. Puck chuckled when she heard the introduction. That was a great introduction just cutting out the etiquette and showing your cards was a great icebreaker.
“Nice to meet you Anastasia” Puck smirked back, “I’m Puck…also a girl who hates children and the lucky girl who got herself locked in Professor Flamsteed’s closet in class” she added as a final bit as most people would probably recognize her from when she was kicking and screaming for the formerly hook-handed Professor to let her go.

Yep. Seemed like not being formal was definitely the way to go with this girl. "Isn't Puck a boys name? I mean it's from A Midsummer Night's Dream right? And the Puck in that was definitely male," Ana asked, slightly confused and not even registering that she could be taken as quite rude. "Not that there's actually anything wrong with the name," she hastened to add when it did occur to her.
Wait.
"That was you?! I thought I recognised you from somewhere! I'd have hated to get locked in that closet. Only thing I ever got in Astronomy was points lost from hugging Flamsteed. Though between you and me he totally needed one." Professor needed to relax a bit, and Ana was a naturally huggy person, especially when excited. At least she hadn't hugged him this year though.
