Airey is intelligent, but did not make the best of students while at Hogwarts due to his short attention span and overly energetic nature. Airey showed a lot of potential at Hogwarts, but his lack of ability to focus and inability to sit still for too long landed him in a lot of trouble. After being expelled from Hogwarts towards the end of his second year for setting fire to the tapestries in the Headmaster’s office, something he swears to this day was a complete accident, he returned to Hogwarts his third year and was known as being an energetically stubborn kid known and a notorious troublemaker by staff. He was instructed by the Headmaster that he would have to commit to school activities as part of his personal development and told to join two clubs in addition to the Hogwarts choir. To everyone’s surprise, including his own, Airey fell in love with singing and music in general and was able to use it as an outlet for his short attention span. While his mischievous nature never fully left, putting a Hair Removal potion into all the professors’ goblets at the end of the term feast his seventh year and making them all go temporarily bald as an example, Airey did show that he was a capable student and kept good grades.

After graduating from Hogwarts, Airey had one of those moments where you begin to question everything you have done up until that point. He by no means felt lost, but came to realize that he needed to put SOME of his prankster ways behind and make a real name of himself. Being especially inspired by the Astronomy professor at Hogwarts, Airey became an intern at the Institute of Astronomy in Cambridge and attended Wizarding University where he also continued to sing and performed in musical theater. Sights set on the stars, Airey received a PhD in laboratory astrophysics and built a dream of being the first man to sing show tunes on the moon - or any heavenly body for that matter. While working for the mission operations directorate of NASA, Airey suffered from an injury in centrifuge training that left him with permanent back problems and the large scar running down his back. Medical staff permanently grounded him and were forced to remove him from the list of astronaut candidates. Completely disheartened by this, he was about to throw in the towel with space entirely until he was appointed Astronomer Royal and found a passion in teaching due to the post’s requirements and continued to work for NASA in their space training program while writing publications for the Royal Astronomical Society until taking up his current post as professor of Astronomy at Hogwarts.

And yes, he still sings and performs the occasional prank.

SPOILER!!: The Backstory

Born in Lovech, Bulgaria in early November of 2044, Medea became the second child of Carlita and Asen Romanos and the younger sister of Grigor, whom she looks up to and respects how he is able to handle their parents. She grew up in the restaurant business, their family having owned a restaurant called "Romanos and Sons" for many years. Naturally, Medea didn't quite fit in well with the title, something in which made her suspicious was why her father favored Grigor more than her. Since she was six, she'd been lending a helping hand as often as she could; not like she had a choice anyhow. Her father especially leaned towards the idea of business and believed all the education they needed was either working with their customers or cooking the food in the back kitchen.

At the age of twelve, Carlita finally reasoned with her father and she was sent to a nearby and rather low in cost school, the Ukrainian Academy of Magic. It was a small school, and not one that would be most people's first choice. Her brother encouraged her to take more advanced classes during her final three years, not to mention making sure she continued to be motivated in her studies. Her love of art grew during her years of schooling, as well as her enthusiasm for yoga and charms work.

A month after graduating, Grigor enrolled her into the Ukrainian University of Magic and Magical Theory with the use of his own money, much to father's disapproval. The relationship between the family members became tense, yet between classes at school and studying for exams and personal interests, Medea continued working for the family business; if only to receive money to pay for her studies so her brother didn't have to. She finally quit the family business and moved away at the age of twenty-two, a year after leaving the University. Studying in a classroom environment just wasn't working for her either.

It seemed this was her open door to new opportunities since she ran into an ex-Professor. Ambrus Váradi was the Defensive Magic/Theory Professor at the Ukrainian Academy of Magic during Medea's first two years there, having retired after forty-four years of teaching to become a quiet tutor for the young ones that needed a little extra help. After catching up, it was agreed that Ambrus would help Medea with her independent studies, having realized that retirement was in fact boring after all. It was only a few years later did Medea start helping him with tutoring. She continued tutoring for a year or so after Ambrus was murdered in a particularly violent house burglary, and it was only after she had stepped down from the job was she contacted about a house that was left to her in the ex-Professor's will. A summer home in Leeds, England.

Not at all about to take it, she did happen to make a visit to place, if only to make sure that it would be well taken care of. However, the longer she stayed in Leeds, the harder it was to leave. Eventually, she took up the position as Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor at the ever famous school of Hogwarts. She doesn't much communicate with her family anymore, but she does send the occasional owl for the holidays and does keep in contact with her brother every now and then.

Personality-
Anyone who knows Alexa knows that she's a pretty open book. She doesn't have any reservations about most things and will often speak her mind without hesitation. Lex is highly opinionated and this comes with her stubborn nature and strong will. Once she sets her mind to do something it makes no sense trying to stop her because her brain won't even process what you're saying. Over the years she's taught herself to disregard everything unless she finds it interesting, entertaining or useful and once you're not agreeing with her she generally won't acknowledge what you say without some opposition as she's not one to take things sitting down. Her drive and determination cause her to do some pretty over the top things from time to time but even with the disapproving looks of others she typically isn't affected because she doesn't care what others have to say. Alexa can be considered shameless because of this. If she wants to do something, the last thing she'll think about is the reaction of others; she'd much rather think of how much fun she'd have or how satisfying it would be. There are very few people who's opinions matter to her in the first place.

Describe their dwelling/house: in the outskirts of London hidden in the Forest, here is where Mr. and Mrs. Bay work from, the top floor is off limits for no-one besides Victor Bay's Parents, it has something to do with their work for the Ministry. On the main floor of the house as soon as you walk up the walk way your greeted by a big wooden door, once inside there is a place to hang your coats, hats and a place to put your boots.

to the left is the "formal dinning room" this room is normally used for Homework sessions that his mother helps him with and where she had home schooled Bay so he likes to steer clear of this room. Following the open floor concept next was the huge kitchen, everything is made of wood here even the oven is a wood burning oven, the smell of burning wood was constantly in the air.

Next to the kitchen is a big bathroom for it was the only one in the house, next to this since Bay cannot go upstairs the only bedroom on this floor was his, his parents had everything they needed besides the washroom up there. Bay's room is fully decorated with Quidditch posters and his school things thrown around somewhere in this room was his blue pygmy puff Ziggy he'd eventually come out and greet you.

Across the hall way was a big room, filled with different couches and chairs and plenty of awards from his parents days at Hogwarts. This is where Bay spent most of his time, relaxing, reading books and taking a lot of naps.

Surrounding the house is a full on Forest, there is no neighbours or people around for miles. This is a perfect place to go for hikes and fish in the stream that isn't to far away. Behind the house is a huge vegetable and fruit garden, the Bay's love to garden and prepare their own food, protection spells are placed around the garden to scare away animals who dare to come to close. They want the food for themselves not the wildlife.

Victor aslo has his own little hide out, a medium size tree house is just a little ways down from the main house. It is higher up in the trees and the rope that you need to climb to get up is enchanted to pull you up, you don't need to do any of the work. Theres nothing really fancy in this tree house other than Quidditch pictures and drawings and some hidden junk food here.

Hobbies/Pastimes: Victor loves to read, He has read everything that is given to him. Bay has his own book collection in his room where the books have all been cracked and read over and over again. He also loves science fiction, even thought he knew most of the stories were true, he liked to read what the muggles would come up with, but his most favourite type of books are WESTERNS!! he loves anything to do with them mostly the horse's.

Other than reading He likes to spend most of his time alone when in the house. Either building things for the backyard or helping his mother around the house. He does not like crowds so the smaller the group the better.

Personality

Most of Phoenix’s personality is music. He’ll always stand by the fact that music is the only thing he’s really any good at - except for kissing of course. He holds himself in very high esteem, mainly because he decided nobody else would find him as awesome and gorgeous as he deserved unless he really believed it himself. He has no time for people who disapprove just because he wears ‘girl’ clothes or make up or whatever - he is firmly set in himself, and knows who he is, caring little (if at all) for anyone who says he’s wrong to act the way he does. Even though he’s adamant of his own beauty, he easily recognises it in other people, and is firm in the belief that pretty much anyone can be beautiful if they believe it themselves.

When it comes to schoolwork, Phoenix is lazy. He knows what he’s good at, and gets frustrated to easily when he struggles with things. He claims to know in his soul that his destiny is music, and refuses to work hard at things he’s not going to need in life.

History:
Phoenix was born on the island of Euboea, Greece, to Giorgio Toros and Helena Elias on the fifteenth of May, 2069. He was their second child, and everything seemed great until his older brother started showing signs of magic. Helena, being a muggle, had no idea that Giorgio was a wizard until this point, and on his explanation of Rufus’ magic, Helena became overwhelmed and angry that he hadn’t told her before. She left him, feeling as though she didn’t know her own family anymore, and Giorgio took the boys to England where he then worked as a music producer at Steel City music studio in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Giorgio threw himself into the music scene, and fully accepted the wrock and roll lifestyle. Unfortunately, he died seven years later, leaving nine year old Phoenix to be cared for by his brother, who had graduated from Hogwarts that year. Rufus and Phoenix have stuck together ever since, and are fiercely protective of one another.

With Giorgio’s career as a music producer, Rufus and Phoenix both were very interested in music, and picked up the family talent. Rufus stuck to bass guitar more or less, and joined a band at Hogwarts called Agromantula. Phoenix was far more indecisive when deciding which instrument to learn, and has subsequently developed the ability to pick up almost anything put in front of him. He was always encouraged with his music, and never pushed too far at things he didn’t want to do. Music has remained an escape and a joy for him because of this, and he worked hard at it off his own back rather than other people’s nagging.

His dream is to be a famous musician, but he is adamant not to use his brother’s success to further his career when he gets older. He wants to do it all for himself, and become successful in his own right, rather than being known as “that guy from Agromantula’s little brother” for his whole life.

Phoenix’s personality is almost as big as his hair. He is sickeningly optimistic and has a strong faith in himself and his “legendary” good looks. Not only that, but he’s pretty adamant that everyone should be convinced of their own beauty as well as his. Cause where’s the fun in thinking you’re not hot, right?

Obviously, he considers his musical talent and his looks to be the main cause for appeal to other people, and keeps the rest well hidden unless it’s completely necessary. For example, his utter inability to concentrate or work hard on things that he doesn’t understand, or that don’t mean anything to him. He had been learning from a tutor back home until his fifth year - since he made his brother promise not to send him off to school when he was eleven. But his last tutor finally snapped after months of silliness, disobedience and pranks. He wasn’t the first to quit, but Rufus was adamant that Phoenix was going to have to be taken in hand eventually, and making his tutor’s eyebrows so long that they obstructed his viewing was the last straw.

Now that he’s fifteen, he’s not too bothered about going off to school, after all, if you don’t try stuff you never find out if it’s fun, right? And Phoenix lives to have fun. He’ll try his hand at anything that presents itself to him, just to see if it works out, cause it does more often than not... and when it doesn’t..? The experience is usually worth it - at least you’ve got a good story to impress people with... might even get you a snog or two.

Biography- Ceorlic only knows of his mother by name, and stories of his Father told to him by his Older Half Brothers. Since he was at least 3 he could only recall being raised by Caelan, and Cullen, though they both tell him they picked him up from his Muggle Mother earlier than that. He is the 3rd of 2 half brothers, with 1 more younger half brother, Calenhad.

Caelan, and Cullen have been (as he puts it) "brainwashing" them both to hate their Father, that the man had abandoned each of their Mothers. Once he learned their child had magical talent he would abandon them and move on. Devastating the muggle Mother. (The story makes no sense to Ceorlic)

Ceorlic does not feel hate for his father, but rather would like to confront him some day. To ask him what truly made him leave. He has not told Caelan, Cullen, or Calenhad this yet.

Isla Reeser was born on August 20th to muggles, Allen and Alana Reeser. She lived a normal muggle life with the occasional situations of her abilities getting in the way. Chance was born to a single mother named Teresa. Teresa had a fling with a man that she hadnt known was a wizard. When she got pregnant, she tried to find him but couldnt. He had been very mysterious. Chance grew up with his mother, not knowing he was a wizard. Teresa was a waitress and worked too many hours to support her and him. So Chance was on his own alot. He had a great imagination and when strange things happened, he figured it was his imagination going a little bit out of control. Teresa ended up marrying another Muggle, Michael when Chance was about 8. They had two children, both muggles, and both girls.

So when the owl flew into the house to deliver the envelope for Chance to go to Hogwarts, Teresa didnt quite believe it. She didnt want Michael to think they were crazy, so she told him he was being sent to boarding school because he was a little different. So when Chance was eleven, he was sent off to "boarding school" aka Hogwarts.

Emmylou is a very shy, Peter Pan obsessed and quiet teen but she can be outspoken at times when you least expect it. Emmy is very outgoing, funny and caring once you get to know her. She loves being in the outdoors and finding some frogs, turtles and other animals that girls shouldn’t being playing around with. When Emmylou is bored she loves to just read all day. Emmy is very intelligent, loyal, kind, patient. She loves to learn to new things everyday and she dreams to travel to Neverland one day or Disney World, whatever one comes first.

Emmylou Leela Duchannes was born on a early stormy morning in New Orleans, Louisiana to Amara Holmes and Benedict Duchannes. Her parents both attended Hogwarts for all seven terms, her father was a Ravenclaw and her mother was a Slytherin. Emmy’s parents had known each other since their first year, they were best friends until in their fifth year they started dating. Emmylou was born eight months after parents had graduated from Hogwarts. Benedict went into the family fishing and farming business. Amara is a Broadway star, she had been in five Broadway shows since graduating Hogwarts, she is now starring in Wicked as Glinda the Good Witch.

The last few years have been tough on Benedict and Amara’s relationship because Amara has been living in New York City while Benedict has been in Alabama taking care of Emmylou for half of her life. Amara barely visits her husband and daughter anymore.

Third Year { 2083 - 2084 }

Emmylou had mostly been sleeping on her very first train ride, she was tired out from all the fun she had been having over the summer holiday and she was over excited about going to Hogwarts and being sorted into one of the four houses. Emmylou was very nervous yet very excited about the sorting ceremony, she didn’t know how to contain herself. At first Emmylou didn’t know that her name of called, she was paying attention but maybe it was just the shock of finally being at Hogwarts and not at Beauxbatons that made her happy. Emmylou felt like it was taking her forever to finally get sorted once it was finally her turn. To Emmylou it seemed like the sorting hat was trying to find the perfect place to put her. She didn’t want it to be in Slytherin partly because she knew that she wouldn’t fit in there and it would have been the wrong house. It was her mother that had put the pressure on her for having to be in a certain house. Emmylou was very happy once she got sorted into Gryffindor. Some of her friends were in that house and her favorite and other Aunt was in that house when she went to Hogwarts, but on her way over to the table she ended up falling on her face, it could have just been the smell of the food or her being over excited about finally having a house to call her own.

Leonard’s father left his mother before he was born, so his first 2 years of life they lived with his grandparents in England while his mother continued her work as a teacher. However when he was 3, his mother started dating an Italian muggle by the name of Alberto, who she married a less than a year later. After the marriage he moved with them to Italy, where he and his mother learnt how to speak Italian. Occasionally strange things happened around Leonard, but his mother wasn’t worried. His step-father however never cared for him, and so never was aware of these things.

By the age of 5 his mother had twin daughters with her new husband, and originally Leonard was quite jealous but over time he came to accept him and maintained a close bond with his mother through helping her with things such as cooking and baking, and also through learning the guitar and playing to her when he could. He also became helpful to her when she needed help with the twins. Within the next few years he had become the oldest of 8 children.

• Before School:
  • Darius has a duel citizen ship between the United States and the United Kingdom. His father is an American lawyer who met his mother when she came over from England during a business trip. Already divorced from her first marriage with two sons, Racheal wasn't looking for a relationship, but ended up falling in love and getting married again. She moved to the United States and two years later she gave birth to Darius. He was never really close to his half brothers and sister because of the age gap, but more to his twin sisters. He liked watching and helping take care of them when they were babies. They lived in the US until he was nine and moved to the UK after the accident that took the life of one of his twin sisters.
• Magical History:
  • There is no magic on his father side of the family and his mother comes from a long line of squibs. She knows about the magical world, but not a lot because there hasn't been a witch or wizard in her family in over three generations. He had no idea that he was magical until he was seven and his mother explained to him how he had survived the accident. They were vacationing in Hawaii when a hurricane hit the island hard and fast. They were racing for shelter when he and his twin sister were swept away by the rain. He tried to hold onto Annabelle and Isabelle, but Isabelle got pulled away. The next thing he remembered was waking up in the hospital to find out that he had magically saved Annabelle, but not Isabelle who had drowned. So the magical world is new to him, but he's positive that he can adapt.

Zander lives in a house with his two older brothers, Aaron and Daniel. Both Aaron and Daniel have wild and LOUD personalities. Zander had always grown up as the outspoken child and being the youngest certainly didn't help. His parents didn't necessarily neglect him, but he isn't given as much of their time as Aaron and Daniel. The two trouble makers CLEARLY need more attention. Yet, Zander's mother does seem to notice the passive role that Zander has taken on over the years.

First Year [not RPed] Zander's first year at Hogwarts was in lack of better words, weird. He didn't ever socialize and mostly kept to himself. He spent most of his time huddled up in his room going through old superhero comics given to him by his father. The adjustment to a world of magic was also extremely difficult considering he was a muggleborn and didn't have any friends to help.
Second Year [not RPed] His second year was spent much like the first: in his dorm alone. This time, it wasn't because he didn't want to make friends, but because he didn't know how. Instead of making friends with other students, he became quite familiar with the Hogwarts house elves, chatting with them every now and then when they came up to the Gryffindor Common room to clean.
Third Year Over the summer, his mother had a huge talk with him about making friends. When his mother found out about the passive role he was taking on at school she was absolutely livid. She made him promise to put himself out there or else threatened to take him out of school. Zander reluctantly agreed, but wasn't sure how to go about this. His first attempt at being more social was shot down by none other than Zahra Kettleburn. But soon enough, he began to make more friends and even began to participate in classes over time. This was the year of the eternal Hogwarts winter and so Zander spent most of his time thinking up conspiracies involving Defense Against the Dark Arts specialist, Professor Romanos.
