Madame Puddifoot's is a quiet tea shop where you can meet up with your friends.
The tea shop is laid out in a typical English tea room fashion. Lace doilies cover each table on top of the flower patterned table cloths. In the middle of each is a small container with a tea light candle, ready to be lit for those on a romantic retreat. The windows are half covered by fancy net curtains, leaving just enough room at the top to see over and down Hogsmeade's High Street. Little flower and heart covered cushions are on each seat awaiting your arrival.
Sapphira Puddifoot keeps the shop this way because she has to. But she has no desire to look upon all the fancy decorations herself, which is why you'll most likely find her in the back room. She'll come and serve you, but make sure you know what you want to order as she doesn't have all day.

Sophie could have really gone for some hearty food from the Three Broomsticks, but tea parties were their thing, and Soph wasn't going to argue with Cat or Mo. She was just happy to get to be with them again, really, and she hurriedly entered the shop, peeking around to see if they were there yet...
And they weren't. Oh.
That was okay. They'd be there soon, right? They hadn't forgotten about her? They really were going to come? Mo had PROMISED to come every Hogsmeade weekend, and he told her he'd bring Cat along, so... if Mo showed up without Cat, Soph was gonna be a little disappointed. Not entirely, of course, because she still loved Mo loads and would enjoy the time with him, but... she wanted both of them. She missed them dearly. They were her people.
She took great relief in this thought and relaxed, KNOWING they would be there, and stood with her arms crossed and her back to the door, already planning out where she hoped they could sit and what she would order. Would they judge her if she ordered like one of everything?

Sophie had deprived Mo of the opportunity to send her birthday spoiling her, which meant that as soon as Mo came through the door, he was clapping his hands and singing. Badly. As he did.
"HAAAAAAAAPPEEEEEEEEEE BIRTHDAY TO YOU. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"
Mo stopped clapping long enough to drop a tiara onto Sophie's head, and then he tried to sit forcibly in her lap and hug her. Bear hug. HUG THE SOPHIE, CATERINA.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR SOPHIEEEEEEEEEE. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" Ahem. The caterwauling was done. "Pinch her for luck, Cat."

Cat could tell, even before they left, that Mo was very happy to be seeing Sophie. She was too, for sure. It was like Soph was their little sister, and she missed her desperately. How were they going to manage this for MORE years? Ugh.
She had a huge grin on her face when they arrived, wiggling after Mo who was actually singing out loud. He was so silly. "No pinches. Italians kiss for luck." She leaned over and kissed Sophie's head twice before she scooted around to sit on Mo's lap. Group hug, right?
Soph face-palmed the moment the door opened and the singing started, and she stayed that way, attempting to suppress her laughter and NOT encourage his antics. He was SO embarrassing, did he know? She let out an "oomph" and removed her hand from her face to roll her eyes at him when he sat in her lap, but she was grinning so she was certain her eye-rolling lost some of its effect.

"Tea and cake! Let me order it." He waved down the hostess and placed an order for an exorbitant amount of cake.

Why was he so nervous? The fourteen year old was never nervous, never scared of anything, and this should be no different. He had dated Cinna for awhile, then broke up, and now dating again, so why would one simple date make him this nervous. Oh maybe because he had never really been on a date. This was his very first one EVER! Hanging out was one thing, but this actual dating stuff was hard. He was going to stop by Culloden's office and maybe get some advice, but yeah after what all went down over break he was actually avoiding the man. No more awkward relationship conversations with his mother or his step father. So he went to Luc, Luc was always there to help him.
After telling Cinna where to meet him he had gotten dressed and went to the student garden. Luc said to always bring flowers on a date, so that's exactly what he did. Picked them himself, she should be proud. With things not going upward lately like he'd like, he figured maybe a nice actual first date would help some how and flowers of course would too. So now he was there and he was going to do this date thing. Finding a table he sat down and waited for Cinna.

"She must not want us to be here at all." Caterina adjusted her seating on her newly appointed chair and flipped her hair back. "We might as well just leave now and take our cake with us." Considering he had just ordered the cake, but they didn't have it just yet. Cat wiggled and beamed at Sophie, leaning her arms against the table to try to get closer. "So, Soph. Since Mo and I are all old and boring now, fill us in on your exciting Hogwarts life."
Plus, she'd missed that little baby bird and she just wanted her to tell them everything

Soph wrinkled her nose at Mo when he said he wasn't going to kiss her because she hadn't WANTED his kisses, thank you, but then he planted a kiss on the top of her head anyway and she grinned. "You're such a softie." And she had missed his hugs.
Ungrateful little rotten girl... Sophie SNORTED at that, laughing through the rest of what he said, not really caring what he said after that and only catching something about West. But then Cat was saying something about her not wanting them there and she reeeeached and took Cat's hand in hers and whined, "Nooooooo I love you guys being here. I want cake, too. And everything on the menu." Could she really place that kind of an order? She wanted to. And she also wanted to be closer to Cat all of a sudden, so SHE scooted from her chair and ended up in Cat's lap before she could stop herself. Oops?
"Y'guys aren't old and boring. Just Mo is." HEHE. She did giggle at that and grin cheekily at him, but she went on to answer, "I don't think my Hogwarts life is all that exciting. I... well, since you guys left, I've gotten even closer to Tobes and CB." She grinned pointedly at Cat upon saying the last name. "Jun Kim, too," this time it was mostly directed at Mo, "who's kinda like my replacement 'claw big brother. We're not as close as you and me are, 'cause no one could replace you, but at least he gives me piggy back rides sometimes." That was kind of nice. "The professors love me, that's not changed, and..." What else was there?
...Not a lot.
"Dunno. Hogwarts is fine. Same as always, just sadder without you, which is problematic 'cause when I get sad, I still wanna go to you guys for consoling, but you're not there. So... the people I like going to most when I'm sad are the REASON I get sad sometimes." Soph looked between the two of them with sad puppy eyes. "Y'sure your lives are going so well now that you won't come back up to the school with me? I'll smuggle you in, I can do it." She totally couldn't, but she would TRY.

"You make better cake," Mo tilted his head to address Cat, his voice dropping just a bit so that the comment was obviously intended just for her. Even if Sophie could hear, the comment was for Cat. It meant he loved her, see? He took her hand and gave her fingers a quick kiss before returning attention to the birthday girl.
"I'm not a softie, Baby Bird. I'm extremely manly. In case you didn't know." Which was obvious, since he was sitting in this silly little place, sitting on a poof and ordering cake. So comfortable with his masculinity that he didn't care, nope. "I'm soft and boring and old? Merlin, what is my life coming to?" He propped his elbows on the table, chin in hand, and watched Sophie cuddle with Cat.
Where were HIS cuddles, huh? He brought her a tiara and sang!
"I'm going to knock that Jun's socks off for replacing me. I guess I can't complain, since we left, but just pretend you miss us, ok?" Instead of replacing them. Ouch. He reached across to tap the top of Sophie's hand. "You heard I made the Wanderers? I think I can't come back, not if I'm going to be a famous Quidditch star. But you're okay, right? Nothing... bothering you?" No boys Mo had to beat up, basically?

This was big. Really big. Like first date big. Mostly because it was a first date. Cinna was excited, but I little nervous all at the same time. She had never been on one obviously. Normally she would have tried to get advice from Mercedes. What was she suppose to wear? And make up? Did she look like a clown or something? No Mercedes advice she went to in her opinion the next best thing Lux. Thankfully she had been a great help. She had checked herself in the mirror at least a hundred times before leaving for Hogsmeade.
Once she finally made it to Hogsmeade she headed into the shop. A grin instantly appeared on her face when she seen him. Look at him dressed up. Not as dressed up as he was at the wedding over Christmas break. But still he looked good. Nerves started to take over more than anything. Though the excitement of it all was still there. Smoothing out her dress while she stood at the doorway. She walked over to the table. The smile was still there. "Hey, you."

Bianca was lying if she said she wasn't nervous. Technically, Papa Caruso had said she wasn't allowed a boyfriend till she was fifteen. There were no rules against actual dating. Bianca smoothed out her hair. She needed that nervous feeling to go away. Like right now. The Gryffindor mustered up that courage she had inside of her, the one that bordered right onto stupidity and smiled while walking into Madame Puddifoots.
Heh. What a funny name. Puddifoot. Pudding foot. She was going to call it Madame Pudding Foot from now on.
Bianca spotted C-Squared easily and grinned, walking over. Relax. This wasn't even a big deal... it was just a date. She resisted the urge to stuff her hands into her coat pocket. Mama Caruso had taught her that leaving them at one's sides made one look more confident. So she walked over there, to the best of her ability, and sat down across from him.
"Sup, C-Squared. Fancy seeing you here," she said with a little smirk.

She set her coat on the back of her chair and pushed her sleeves up. He was smiling. That was a good sign right? Her stomach did flips and turns and she was about one hundred and ten percent sure that she would not be able to eat a thing. At least not until this whole thing was over.
For some strange reason, she blushed when he complimented her. She didn't get that. He had complimented her loads of times before. Was it because she felt more on display now than she had before? This was ridiculous! Bianca just grinned.
"Well, you know, I'm meeting my date here. Have you seen him?"
Joking around. Bianca was good at that. She grabbed a menu and looked through it. "Any idea what you're gonna get?" Because Bianca had never been here before. Ever. And she figured she'd just get whatever he got. It required less thinking plus that way, she wouldn't embarrass herself choosing something weird. Why was she even so worried about being embarrassed?! Bianca Evelyn Caruso wasn't embarrassed by a thing!

Bianca couldn't help but grin at the wink. See, this was starting to feel more normal. The little gymnasts doing the little flips in her tummy had stopped doing their flips. Which was good because now Bianca felt hungry.
Except they returned once he said he liked it when she blushed. Drats. He had seen that? Bianca had really been hoping he was too immersed in the menu to notice. "Mmmhmm..." she replied, covering her face ever so slightly with the menu. She nodded her head at the mention of apple pie. "That sounds good... I've never been here either," she looked over the top of her menu. He was biting his lip. Why? He looked cute too.
Shaking her head slightly, she returned her gaze to the menu, studying it with her brow furrowed. "I think the cheesecake. Can't go wrong with cake." Because cake was delicious and Bianca really liked cake. Though they also had croissants so it was really difficult trying to choose.
"Thanks... you look really nice too," she said, smiling and putting her menu down flat on the table. She twisted the bracelet she had received from Vinnie for Christmas around her wrist and looked back down at the menu. "If there were less options it'd be easier trying to figure out what to get," she said with a little laugh.

Bianca couldn't help but grin at the wink. See, this was starting to feel more normal. The little gymnasts doing the little flips in her tummy had stopped doing their flips. Which was good because now Bianca felt hungry.
Except they returned once he said he liked it when she blushed. Drats. He had seen that? Bianca had really been hoping he was too immersed in the menu to notice. "Mmmhmm..." she replied, covering her face ever so slightly with the menu. She nodded her head at the mention of apple pie. "That sounds good... I've never been here either," she looked over the top of her menu. He was biting his lip. Why? He looked cute too.
Shaking her head slightly, she returned her gaze to the menu, studying it with her brow furrowed. "I think the cheesecake. Can't go wrong with cake." Because cake was delicious and Bianca really liked cake. Though they also had croissants so it was really difficult trying to choose.
"Thanks... you look really nice too," she said, smiling and putting her menu down flat on the table. She twisted the bracelet she had received from Vinnie for Christmas around her wrist and looked back down at the menu. "If there were less options it'd be easier trying to figure out what to get," she said with a little laugh.
Hey Chance was lucky. He was finally on a date with Beezey. He grinned and sat up in his chair a little taller. "Okay so one cheesecake and one apple pie crumble?" He asked and looked around for someone to take their order. He didn't really see anyone. Cocking his head at Beezey, he thought to do the only thing he knew to get a waiter/waitress attention. He lifted his arm in the air. He felt silly so he only left it in the air for a few seconds before dropping it back down.
He could wait for someone to take their order anyways. Just meant more time with Beezey. "So you've never been here?" Chance asked while noticing Beezey play with her bracelet. "Oh that's a nice bracelet." Chance said. Speaking of jewelry, chance grinned big and put his elbows up, showing off his cuff links proudly. "See anything familiar?" He asked with a wiggle of the eyebrows. "Why yes I am wearing your cuff links you gave me for Christmas." GRINNN
This date was going great so far! And Beezey was scared! Pffftttt. He had to admit, not to Beezey, but he was a little nervous too. Even though they acted like they were practically together, it's scary turning something good like they had into something more.

Emmylou felt like it was some sort of race to her and she was actually here before him for once for a date that was all his idea. Here she was looking all pretty in her a dress and shoes that she didn't wear very often. Emmylou was very happy that she had the great idea of wearing winter boots to walk down to Hogsmeade in and then switch over to her fancy shoes. That's what she called her high heels, fancy shoes because she only wore them for certain occasions. The Gryffindor looked around for the perfect table for her and Kace to sit at. Emmylou saw Bart and Cinna but she didn't say anything to them, she just walked right past them and sat down at an empty table waiting for Kace.

Claudette had of course accepted immediately trying not to blush too much or seem too excited. She had probably failed at both but Luc hadn’t seemed to have minded too much. Getting up super early on Saturday morning she had tried and discarded several outfits before she had settled on a long skirt and a nice top and sweater under her winter coat. Winter had come to Scotland leaving a trail of snow in its wake.
She was among the first to be let of out the school grounds by the caretaker Mr Flynn that day. Claudette hadn’t been able to get much food down because of the nervous butterflies in her stomach. She was certain that they wouldn’t ease up until she saw Luc. It was just how she worked. Opening the door to Madam Puddifoots alias the go to place for dates and couples the blond 6th year looked around for a vacant table. Spotting an empty table Claudette made a beeline for it. Seating herself down, she waited for Luc to arrive.

He smiled and walked over. He even noticed Bart and Cinna were on a date as well. He wasn't the only one thinking the idea. He smiled at Emmy and leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. "Hello beautiful.." he said giving her a little candy jar he picked up in honeydukes. "Sorry I am a little late.." he grinned. "I was finding the perfect candy for my girl.." he winked. He sat down at his table and put his coat over his chair. "It is a little warm in here isn't it?" he asked fanning himself. He took hold of the menu and wondered what he wanted.

An actual date. Luc couldn't believe it. He was going out on a first date with the sweetest and cutest girl, Claudette. It was winter, so he made sure to dress relatively warm. Being Norwegian-born and used to their harsher winters from yearly visits, he luckily didn't need to wear that much.
Though they spent quite some time together since before the school year began, a trickle of nervous feelings still were creeping up on him as Luc walked to Madam Puddingfoot's where they first agreed to meet up. He owed her a tour of Hogsmeade right after, after all. Once inside, he removed his hoodie before seeing Claudette. His smile was a little exaggerated from the sudden shyness as he walked over to her to give a hug. "..Hi." Had she been here a while? He thought before releasing. "Hope I'm not late.. How are you?"

And everything on the menu." Could she really place that kind of an order? She wanted to. And she also wanted to be closer to Cat all of a sudden, so SHE scooted from her chair and ended up in Cat's lap before she could stop herself. Oops?
"Y'guys aren't old and boring. Just Mo is." HEHE. She did giggle at that and grin cheekily at him, but she went on to answer, "I don't think my Hogwarts life is all that exciting. I... well, since you guys left, I've gotten even closer to Tobes and CB." She grinned pointedly at Cat upon saying the last name. "Jun Kim, too," this time it was mostly directed at Mo, "who's kinda like my replacement 'claw big brother. We're not as close as you and me are, 'cause no one could replace you, but at least he gives me piggy back rides sometimes." That was kind of nice. "The professors love me, that's not changed, and..." What else was there?

"Dunno. Hogwarts is fine. Same as always, just sadder without you, which is problematic 'cause when I get sad, I still wanna go to you guys for consoling, but you're not there. So... the people I like going to most when I'm sad are the REASON I get sad sometimes." Soph looked between the two of them with sad puppy eyes. "Y'sure your lives are going so well now that you won't come back up to the school with me? I'll smuggle you in, I can do it." She totally couldn't, but she would TRY.

She definitely made better cake. Cat grinned at Mo and fluttered her eyelashes in his direction. He was so sweet, wasn't he? Definitely so. Cat blew a kiss to him across the table before she turned her attention back to what Sophie was saying. Everything sounded pretty okay, actually. Nothing bad. No freezing spells or weird old making sicknesses. Sophie sounded healthy and happy, just the way that Cat liked her to be. "No weird funny business going on?" Because they all knew that was a thing at Hogwarts.
When the tea was delivered, Caterina took on the role of hostess, pouring cups full and passing them out to first Sophie, then Mo, then herself. "Between you and Kyroh, you two are going to make me sad." She said this teasingly, though it did make her feel sad when she was asked to come back and she couldn't do that. "Besides, I'm busy being the girlfriend of a famous Quidditch player. It's a hard life." She was totally teasing again and grinned to show it.
"Extremely manly and good looking to boot." She wiggled her eyebrows at Mo and then wiggled her fingers too for good measure. What a cute boyfriend she had.

This was big. Really big. Like first date big. Mostly because it was a first date. Cinna was excited, but I little nervous all at the same time. She had never been on one obviously. Bianca raised an eyebrow at Chance raising his arm up. She sat up straight, feeling a tad bit awkward. Was she supposed to say something about it? Bianca decided against it. "It's really fancy here." Because she felt like one of them had to point it out so why not it be her? She shifted a little in her seat. Was she allowed to slouch? Why hadn't she asked the babe about all of this?! What was the protocol?
She looked around the place and shrugged her shoulders. "No. Hey, I'm a transfer student. I wasn't even on the same continent, when would I have come here?" Bianca said with a laugh. Maybe Mama Caruso had been here a few times, after all, Mama Caruso had attended Hogwarts. Bianca looked down at her bracelet and smiled. "Thanks, Vinnie got it for me." Bianca made it an effort to wear the things people had given her. She was not going to let perfectly good gifts go to waste. Pffft.
A grin immediately crossed Bianca's face when she spotted the cuff links. Laughing, she covered her face before brushing her hair away from it. "I can't believe you're wearing those," Bianca said, grinning. "They look spiffy," she added with a little wink.
