These were her people.

Marigold showed up to the feast nice and early - she had her badge on all clean and shiny and her hair didn't look like a nest of some sort. She would go over to friends later on, but she was going to stay at her puff table for a while. Mostly congratulating and annoying Dec, but it wasn't such a big deal, graduation. She would see him all the time anyway. The only seventh year that was really leaving her life that she knew better than others was Lex, and besides, they hadn't talked a lot. So all in all, this end of term was a bit impersonal.

But maybe she was just pushing feelings away.

The End of Term Feast was hereeeee!

Another year had FLOWN by and summer was almost upon them but Adi would think about that later. He arrived at the Hufflepuff table to find Mari there already. Great! The House prefects had made it early.

"Hey, Mari!'' Adi said cheerfully. "What's up?" And where were the other Puffers? He glanced around the Hall. Students were trickling slowly and he would be making his usual trips to the other Tables soon.

Declan wasn't about to let himself get all emotional. Nope. It's not like the short two years he had here gave him more life experiences than his five years at Winchester. Nope. Or that he made some of the greatest friends he could ever ask for. Real friends. Not someone he had to pretend around to get along with. Nope. Let's not forget the fact that he opened himself up to love and who really was and finally found peace within himself. Yeah...no.

His mouth was getting dry with all these sentimental thoughts. That was his cue to stop. The eighteen year-old walked to his house table just as the feast began. His last feast at Hogwarts, last one before he's out and about in the adult world. Merlin, there he went again.




Baby cousin in sight, he jumped on the prefect's back, pinching her cheeks. "Look at you all professional, Miss United States of Puff. Alright?" Mari will be home when he goes home, so nothing emotional here. 'Cept, he's infinitely proud of her.

This was it. His final feast at Hogwarts. Even though he was excited to leave, Jun suddenly felt emotional about it. Here, he wasn't bullied like back in Norway. People actually liked his weird accent and didn't pick on him because of it. Even if he seemed like a bully himself, he really wasn't. Jun just wasn't a push over and was hard on people so they'll recognize their mistakes. ogwarts was his home for the past seven years. Jun had great friends here, even if he lost some of them due to him being an idiot. He managed to keep some; like Connor. Yup, he loved Connor. He wasn't letting go of his baby werewolf. Or Declan Hazelwood; even if his girlfriend didn't like Jun anymore. Too bad for her. And speaking of which. Walking into the Great Hall, Jun spotted the Hufflepuff and grinned. He hadn't seen Connor around yet so Hazelwood it was.

"Declaaaaaaaaaan!" The Head Boy called out with open arms. A hug was kind of mandatory now. Just to drop their 'cool' images for once.

Oh. Merlin. Was that Phoenix MAKING A STAND for FEMINISM? Yo. GO PHOENIX. Marigold was still standing, but she did applaud Phoenix and would go over there to talk to him and friends.

The person she was thinking about most tonight. "Is that my new title?" she asked, beaming at Dec and squishing him back. "I like it."

Pause.

"Guess what else I like? YOU. HAPPY GRADUATION, BIG COUSIN. Moo and baby Mouse send their love."

Norah pranced excitedly through the great hall, grinning at the shiny tables AND the sight of Marigold at the Puffer table AND the funny feeling her curls made when they bounced off the back of her neck. Hiii Mari HIII. The second year slid into a seat next to the BESTEST PREFECT and began to bounce a little, but not so much that she looked like a baby, 'cause she wasn't one of those. Especially not in front of Prefect Marigold who knew everything. Leaning over, she gave the older a girl a hug from the side and began to ask allll of her questions before she had even sat all the way up again. "Hiii Mari! Are you excited for summer? Was it the best year ever? When's the feast gonna start? What did you do to make your badge so shiny? Do you get to keep it over the summer? CAN I TRY IT ON?" And then the real deal bouncing began, because it was the FEAST and Norah just couldn't contain herself at the prospect of fooood. Maybe Mari really would let her try on the badge and then NOBODY could would think she was any less than a ripe THIRTEEN years old because everybody knew prefects were the coolest. Everybody.

"Yep," He started, squeezing her cheeks together like a fishy, "All you need is a golden sash and tiara and boom. MISS UNITED STATES OF PUFF!" Jazz hands, yo.

He waved his hands dismissively, containing a smile. "Don't remind me. I feel so old." Aww, how nice of them. He was glad Moo forgave him for being a butt back in the days. All is well. "I'll send them a thank you letter at home." That's when he noticed Phoenix and his entrance. Cool.

*gasp* Was that--Where was---Must that be..."HEADBOYJUNKIM!" The man of the hour. Mr. Hogwarts himself. Not thinking twice of the hug, he embraced his best friend in bro-est hugs of all bro hugs. The boy, pressed his lips together and held his friend at arms length. "I'm going to miss you..." Pausing for a moment, he made a face like he was going to burst into tears and instead burst into laughter. "And I can't wait till you're famous, so I can make big bucks off that drawing of you!"

Marigold KNEW who was coming. Norah's flounces had a specific and recognizable sound, and Marigold turned to greet the lil one with a broad grin. "Hello there, Norah." She waited for Norah's rapid-fire questioning to end before actually deliberating them. Hmm. She played with the girl's curls as she thought. "I am excited for summer, it wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst, I shine it with my wand, I get to keep it over the summer, and OF COURSE." Marigold unpinned her badge quickly and easily - she had an entire year of practice - and pinned it on the side of Norah closest to her. "There. Now you can be the official coolest Hufflepuff ever." Because if Norah = coolest and badge = official, it was all simple math.

Kace was making his way down to the end of term feast. He couldn't believe the term went by soo fast. He wondered where the time had gone. Now he had to worry about his testing soon but now he wanted to chat with friends and figure out what they are doing. As he approached the table he noticed the two prefects were there. He decided to make chatter since he hadn't seen Marigold in a while. "Heyy miss Prefect, how have you been?" he asked giving her a bear hug.

Then he turned his attention to Adi and grinned. "Hey Mr. Prefect how have you been mate?" he asked moving in to give him a one armed hug. He wondered where the rest of the puffs were but then he noticed his best mate Declan. Jeez where was this kid all term. He walked over and waved at him. "Hey mate how come I haven't seen you around this term?" he asked him curiously. Seriously was he hiding from him? They needed to plan a trip together soon. He heard a familiar squeaky voice and looked over and saw Norah. He chuckled and went over to make small talk. "Heyy Norah fancy meeting you here of all places. How have you been?" he smiled at the little puff.

Norah giggled as Marigold made her curls bounce as they tended to do, but this time was BETTER because Mari was doing it. She had even brushed her hair for a second before the feast, uh huh. Had to be IMPRESSIVE as she was going into the third year next year. "Woooooah!" the second year whispered, tracing the outline of the badge with one finger. She didn't want to un-shine it or anything, so she switched to a little staring and 'ooooh'-ing before grinning at the older girl once again. "Are you doing anything COOL over the summer?" AND COULD SHE KEEP THE BADGE WHEN YOU GO PLACES PLEASE PLEASE?



And there was Kace! "Hiiii Kace, she said, turning to face him with a big smile. Here of all places? "This is MYYY territory now!" Norah pointed at Mari's badge and giggled. Hehehhe power was FUN. The second year threw her arms around his middle juuuust to make sure he knew she was a real puffer even if she wasn't a prefect, before pondering his question. How had she been? "Hungry," she replied earnestly. Okay, maybe that was just now, but she was hungry a lot so it counted, right? "How are you? Did you have a nice term?" Politeness points for Norah WOOT WOOT.

Just the two prefects. Ye- Nope. More Puffers were arriving! Plus the Head Boy. Awesome! "Looks like we're not the only ones now,'' Adi said to Mari. As if he needed to point that out. Oh summer... "Not as yet. I'm pretty much open to doing anything but I haven't given it much of a thought. How about you? And how did you like being a Prefect?''

Adi had grins for Jun, Declan...this was his final Feast too, yeah? Saying bye bye to the Final Years were always bad... Anyway, Norah was there too. She got a smile and finally Kace.

"Hey, Kace,'' the rising fifth year said cheerfully. He returned the hug and added in a hearty slap on the back. "I'm awesome. How about you?'' He looked around. "Where's your girlfriend?'' Or was Kace going over to her House Table soon?

Hugs were happening. Jun hugged Declan back, maybe as if it were the last time they'd see each other. But as Jun wrote in his memory book entry, it definitely wasn't the last time. Jun watched as Declan spoke and was about to cry? Giving the Puffer his usual blank look as he started laughing, the Head Boy raised an eyebrow. Here's hoping he doesn't go into acting. Or at least take very good lessons. "Do you plan on paying for Uni with that money?" Jun would. Though his parents would be the ones paying and all. "Did you decide on where to go?"

Kace chuckled and thought Norah was adorable and laughed when she mentioned she was going to be prefect. "I am sure you will be a great prefect when you become a fifth year." he nodded. I mean maybe Marigold could give her some tips. "Hopefully Marigold will give you some tips.." he winked. Kace felt someone hugging him and he smiled and gave her a squeeze back. She was so tiny compared to him. Just think he used to be this little once. He heard her answer and he laughed. "Yeah I am pretty hungry too.." He heard his stomach rumble and broke away from the hug and massaged it. "I am sure you heard my tummy rumble." he grinned sheepishly.

Now onto him and he nodded. "I am pretty hungry but my term went well. I think I did well in the classes and I was surprised at how fast it went to be perfectly honest." Then he bent lower and whispered, "And between you and me I don't wanna take my OWLS."

Kace smiled at Adi and remembered him as a innocent first year. Man times have changed. Now Adi has all grown up and he is a prefect with his girl that he loved. Can time just slow down just a bit? He wanted to have these memories for a little bit longer. "I am doing well just a bit hungry.." There he was using Norah's excuse but can you blame her. It was the truth I mean why else would he be here? Ah the girlfriend question and he shrugged. "I have no idea. I haven't seen her a lot lately, she maybe hiding in her dorm and avoiding me.." he laughed and just joking of course. "You haven't seen her around have you?" he asked his fellow puff.

Turning his attention away from his cousin to focus it on his friend, Kace. Declan felt bad, however, with all the university stress, Char being sick, and NEWTs, he didn't really have the option to hang out. Hang out in particular with his buddy, here, Kace. Being that, though, they still had to plan another trip before he heads off. He chuckled, embracing him in a good, tight hug. "No, mate! I'd never hide from you! Just been busy, s'all." He patted him on the shoulder, "Everything alright with you?"

Disappointed at the fact that once again, he failed to get a reaction out of HEADBOYJUNKIM, Declan crossed his arms and let out a breathy, HARRUMPH! "Why can't you pretend to be surprise, party pooper?"

He waved his hands and shook his head no. "That money is all for me and my honey on our way to adulthood." That and because he chose to go that uni on the fact that they offered him a full-ride scholarship. "Yeah, decided with Oregon." Dec paused for a bit. "How about you? Choose one, yet?"

Dylan couldn't believe another year had, once again, flashed right by. In fact, it seemed that every year it went by faster and faster. He feared that by the time his seventh year came around, it would be gone in a blink. Then... then what? He had no idea what he wanted to do with his life after Hogwarts. Sure, he had time to think about it but he wasn't sure if he could figure that out in the long time he even had. Ahh. He was stressing. And he didn't need to. He needed to relax. He was a fourth year, he was fine. And besides, there were good friends and food awaiting him at the Hufflepuff table!

Smiling, he made his way over to the table and waved at everyone before taking a seat. "Hey, guys!" he said, announcing his arrival. Just in case they hadn't noticed him sit down.

Hazel bounded down to the Hufflepuff house table. The Table of the House of the Puffers. The place with all the food. Or soon to be, anyway. There weren't many people there yet, so she was able to find her friend quite easily in the small crowd. "Marigold! How are you? How is it being a prefect?" she asked, trying not to overwhelm her with questions. There would be plenty of time for that. She took a seat and bounced her hands in her lap. So exciting!

Norah was cute. Marigold liked the younger girl a WHOLE LOT - she felt the same was about Norah as the majority of the school felt about that Sophie Brown - who FYI did not ever thank Marigold for saving her life. Anyway. Marigold smiled at Norah's enthusiasm with her badge - she was the same way when she got it. "I bet you'll have it in a couple of years, eh?" When Marigold was OUT OF THIS PLACE FOR GOOD EEK and probably living with Moo. Or Z and Ruby. Or alone.

Oh. Summer talk. "I'm meeting my best friend's BABY SISTER for the FIRST TIME EVER!" Exciting. Baby Mouse. Well, her name wasn't mouse, it was Moushumi, because the Calvierri's had had a fling with ethnic names. Much better than Maureen, but there was no way Mouse would go by Moushumi. She was Mouse. Moo and Mouse. The cuties.

The fourth year had almost forgotten that Kace would be leaving a year ahead of him. Adi laughed now. "What did you do to make her want to hide?'' he joked but then shook his head. "Nope.'' He looked towards the Gryffindor table for her familiar form.

Adi nodded at Mari... and then tilted his head, a grin on his face. "You weren't so bad yourself, you know. We make a great Puffer team.'' He was mighty pleased Professor Hadley had selected her to be Prefect too. "Have fun with your friends and the other usual stuff.''

Dylan and Hazel eyes! "Hey, guys!''

Kace heard Declan's excuse for being busy and he totally understood. He nodded and smiled, "Don't worry mate I understand.." He totally did because he was busy studying for his OWLS but he was relieved they were over now. "Erm yeah everything is going alright for me actually. Just been busy is all.." he smirked using the same excuse as his best mate said before. "But you better come visit me in Kansas or something.." he told him.

Then he heard a familiar voice and turned around and saw Dylan! Man this kid was growing taller and taller. Where is the time going? Like seriously can it stop for a bit. "Hey mate!" he greeted him with a one armed hug. "Nice of you to come out and join the feast.." he joked a bit with his friend. "Excited for the summer?" he asked curiously.

He turned his attention back to the female prefect (Marigold). He smiled at her reaction and that was the Marigold he come to know and love. Kace the man? He chuckled and hugged her tight. "Oh don't talk to me about stress. I felt bad I didn't see Emmy or anyone really. I was just buried in the library. It wasn't fair to her. Did you have anytime for Mitch?" he asked about her boyfriend. In fact he didn't really seem him this term. What had he been up to lately? He really wasn't up to anything. "Well I hope to get an internship this summer." he told her honestly. "I hope to work anywhere really." he shrugged. "I do plan to travel and go on vacations with my family but where I have no idea. That is a surprise according to my mom." he smiled. Maybe they might go camping or go out onto the lake. We shall see. "How about you? What are your summer plans?"

"Well at least I am not the only one thinking about food.." he joked with a grin to Adi. What did he do to make Emmy hide? He laughed and shook his head and shrugged. "I have no idea I guess my charming looks are too much to bear sometimes.." he winked. Aahh so he didn't see Emmy. Hmm he will check over at the lion table soon. "What are your summer plans mate?" he asked curiously. Maybe they can meet up somewhere.

Dylan grinned, hugging Kace back and taking a seat next to his friend. "Yeah, I'm pretty excited. How about you? Got any fun plans?" he asked, glancing around. Was the food gonna be here yet? He was kinda starved and super eager for the delicious end of term feast they always had. It was always so good.... just then, another Puffer walked up and Dylan smiled as Hazel joined the table and he gave her a wave, but was suddenly distracted when a loud screech of his name was heard. He turned, grinning when he recognized the voice, laughing as she wrapped him in a tight hug. "Hey, Mari!" he said, hugging her back. "It has been a while! And I've been good! How about you? Enjoy your year?" he asked, smiling at her. It was really good to see her, it had indeed been way too long.

Noticing Adi, he smiled and waved. "Hey, Adi!" he said. "How are you man? Have a good term?"

Ian headed to the feast. It had been a busy year and he was grateful for the chance to learn new things. It was a wiser, and likely stronger, Ian ending this year. He sat down at the table, prepared to head home and work the boat with his dad again. That much excited him and next year, he'd be prepping for OWLs.
