Banner created by Lockhartian If you chose the round door to the left, you will soon find yourself inside the girl's dorms. Each year has a room of its own, and if this is your first time here at Hogwarts, there will always be someone there to help you find your way. The rooms are spacious, furnished with comfortable wooden bedsteads, each covered in patchwork quilts.
Come inside and make yourself at home, get to know your fellow roommates, but don't stay up too late, you wouldn't want to miss any of your classes!
There are absolutely no boys allowed in the girl's dorms. Should a curious male wander through the wrong round door, his path will be blocked off immediately, and no spell he attempts will remove the obstacle.
Best to keep to yourself gentlemen, I wouldn't bother trying if I were you.

Less than a year. Only a few months. She could totally do this. It was as if she was sent somewhere that would allow her to focus on Astronomy and all the related studies, yes? That's how she was looking at it, because she had a hard time pretending to be okay with coming for one last year.
Pretending.Yeah, she never pretended, everyone knew she didn't want to come. Even Tag packed for her, and that's not an activity he was particularly excellent at, nor something he liked to do. Lotus should know, she's helped him pack before.
Her eyes landed on the mirror on her nightstand and she wondered if perhaps...
...no, not now. Later.
So, with a sigh, she allowed herself to fall into the chosen bed. Hopefully, this year wouldn't be too bad. The final year. She couldn't wait to be out, honestly. |

Finding the common room way too crowded and noisy as per usual, Delilah made her way to her dorm, sighing softly to herself. She wasn't exactly thrilled to be back here. Not that she didn't love Hogwarts but too many memories and not all of them happy ones. She was so ready to graduate already. Ready to move on. Eh, just one more year to go. One.
"Lottie." The blonde greeted her friend as she pushed her trunk to the side of the bed before sitting down, crossing her legs gracefully. Yeah, unpacking could wait for a little while. She looked at Lotus, the corners of her lips twitching slightly.
"Not happy to be back, huh?"

It could only be Delilah. The one stepping inside, that is. And after a few seconds the Hogwartian decided...
...that this was a very welcomed distraction.
The moment she heard her name, she propped herself on her elbows a little and looked towards the one person she didn't mind sharing the dormitory with. A small smile played on her lips. "Not really." A year ago she was more than excited for Hogwarts to come, but perhaps this was due to the fact that her birthday was close. Seventeenth birthday. Now, well, she's already seventeen, and she'll spend her birthday here, there's not a lot to look forward to.
"I take it you're not either, Delilah?" Maybe they could make this better, somehow? "How was summer?" She was going to ask about Christmas plans, but that seemed rather desperate. And Lotus didn't have one, come to think of it. | |

NEWT's were coming up and she just HAD to do well if she wanted to get into the school she wanted. It was going to be a long, tough year ahead.
.... Summer. Delilah went quiet for a moment. Summer had been, well, interesting. "It was lovely. I went to Hawaii for a week, which was a LOT of fun. I got to swim with sharks.." She couldn't help the excitement that clearly showed on her face now. ".. Which was obviously pretty awesome." After her break-up, it had been just what she needed. Some time off to do the things that she loved and she was thankful that her family were so supportive.
"How was yours? You went traveling with Tag, didn't you?"

Understandable. But maybe they had different reasons for wanting the school year to be over, even when it had just started. Lotus merely nodded, and sat on her bed. Eyes on Delilah as she...
...went quiet?
Did something happen over summer, too?? Oh. A genuine smile was slowly showing. Her summer kept on sounding better and better as she spoke. And Lotus even laughed, softly, at the shark part. "And you still think sharks are cute, right?" This girl wasn't a sharks enthusiast, but she did love beaches. Perhaps Hawaii could be put on that list? Definitely so! And if she ended up studying in California, then she'd be closer to it. "You recommend Hawaii, then. I bet it's amazing!" She may be slightly biased, because she had loved California.
Then came her super wide smile! Lottie nodded and beamed at the mention of her own summer, "It was...," BRILLIANT, AWESOME, THE BEST, but her smile faltered, "...it's so sad it's over. I would've wanted a longer summer." TRUE. But Delilah had asked for how it all went, no? "I did. It truly was incredible. Both Italy and Greece. I loved the whole thing." And she had pictures, but only managed to bring a few of those. | |

Delilah couldn't help but grin when Lotus laughed. "Hey! They are cute." Yeah, sure. She did understand how they could be scary. But, anyway. The Hawaii trip had definitely been fun and she was definitely looking forward to visting again. Hopefully, next summer. "I even went scuba-diving! I just.. I can't even begin to explain how fantastic it was. You should try it sometime." In fact, she actually wanted to learn scuba-diving. Maybe take lessons next year before school started. Recommend Hawaii? Delilah nodded enthusiastically. "Of course, I'm sure you'll love it."
Yeah, Lottie. Delilah understood. She would have loved for a longer summer as well. The girl was already missing home and the beach and the warmth. She was dreading winter, to be honest. Meh. "Wow. What cities did you visit?" Because the girl wanted to know all the details, yes.
It felt nice hanging out with her friend again. Probably one of the very few reasons why she liked being back here.

See! They were cute, according to Delilah. And perhaps Caterina. While maybe Lotus could understand this with little ickle sharks (and not all of them), she failed to comprehend how a fully grown one could be cute. Deadly, and dangerous, but cute? "We can agree to disagree for this," she said, adding a wink at the end. Oh, scuba-diving, too? "It must've been all lovely, then!" The colors underwater were quite a sight. She'd yet to witness them for real, but she's seen some of it. "I definitely will!" Try it. As far as Hawaii goes..., "I'll add it to the list." Also, they should go to the lake this term, if there's no eternal winter going around, that is.
Given the fact that they spent most of the past school year trapped inside and almost freezing, they should've gotten a longer summer. Seriously. Her wide smile was coming back to stay. "We started with Venice, then Florence and ended in Rome. For the Italian part. The food was the best. And for Greece it was Athens, Santorini and Mykonos. They had the most delicious pastries... you gotta try everything if you go to Greece." For some reason Lottie didn't think of sending some for Delilah, yet she sent some for Lex, and even brought some home...
...which she would've brought here, but she ate them all, unfortunately. | |

The last place Lux decided to take a picture of was her dormitory. Maybe it wasn't the most exciting place at Hogwarts, but this was where she slept, did some of her homework, talked to her dorm-mates, and played with her cat.
Speaking of her cat, it made her smile to see Arya lying on the bed. OOOOOOOH! She could take a picture of her cat! It was a brilliant idea because animal pictures were really nice and Arya was such a cutie. Smiling to herself, Lux looked around the room until she found a piece of string. "Look what I have, Arya! You love string." Giggling, she watched as the cat immediately perked up at the prospect of playing.
With her camera in hand, Lux held the string slightly out of the cat's reach and snapped a photo as Arya reached out for it. "Good girl." As a reward she would get some nice treats later.
Picking the photo up from where it landed on the floor, she tapped it in the center with her wand. "Alacer." | |
