The usual Ancient Runes classroom was not the same upon entering it. There was no desks or chairs, there was no blackboard or the usual baskets and boxes scattered around. Today, the classroom was an underwater seating area with a throne at the far end where professor Botros was seated. When you entered the room, you would feel your feet leave the floor and you'd start floating as if you were actually underwater (but you would be breathing normally as this is only an illusion).
There are some big rocks for you if you wish to hang-on to(sitting would be hard since there is no gravity), but otherwise feel free to roam around and explore the underwater castle-like classroom with the engravings on the walls, the beautifully colored seaweeds and the mysterious small alcoves.
ooc: - Class has officially started, you can still rp your character walking in, though. Just for this lesson.
- This is not the frist AR class, your character must've attended a few before this one. You may act accordingly.

The Pied Piper had been having little luck getting the children of this place to follow him. Other than the one boy following his lead and going to the book, he'd mostly been ignored.
What powers did these children have to resist his flute?
Cloaked still in green, over, of course, the uniform it seemed required he wear, The Pied Piper had taken to following the children, instead. To classes.
He would need to learn more about this place and these children if he was going to be able to lead them away.
Perhaps to that forest on the edge of the grounds.
Flute in hand and hood up, he entered the room... immediately finding that his feet had left the ground. Well, then. This was certainly different. "Eep," he squeaked, softly, paddling his arms and legs in the air to try to propel himself over to a rock.
Grabbing on, he latched his foot in a groove to hold himself steady. Raising the flute ot his lips, he began to play a soft and low tune.

Ancient Runes was a class that AJ struggled in, but she still had to make an appearance. As she made her way into the room, she was taken aback by the feeling that her feet were falling out from under her. Trying to catch herself, she wobbled, and realized that she actually wasn't falling. It was as if she was swimming without any water. This was weird, and totally cool at the same time. She was floating. This was epic.
There weren't any seats, or anything that was normal for the classroom, and she was not complaining. AJ floated around while trying to take everything in. Maybe this class would be fun for her after all. It definitely had potential.

So Ancient Runes, then. The memories from this class were certainly interesting, to say the least. People on fire, carrying torches in the cold and pretending that they were some sort of adventurers n a mission with the torches, even if it had been too cold to endure. This subject was HARD but he was hoping that there'd be some fun way to--

Oh man. Oh MAN! LOOK AT THE CLASSROOM!
To say that he was impressed was an understatement. Dude was in AWE. Especially when he took a step or two into the classroom and found himself being lifted up and up as if he was floating! No, wait, he WAS floating, something he noticed when he glanced down at his feet and saw them no longer on the floor of the classroom. He flapped his feet around, completey content. MAN. This was gonna be a GOOD lesson, he could feel it.
Putting his previous swimming lessons to good use, Grayson starting swimming around and further into the classroom to try and get a better view of the classroom. This was so freaking AWESOME. Spinning around, he gave the Professor -- who was sitting on a THRONE. MAN! -- a wave, his biggest smile to date spread across his face. Could they talk down here?
"Hey, Professor Botros! AWESOME set up!" he called, watching as some bubbles escaped from his mouth. Uh huh! Much Whitty approval.

Ancient Runes sounded about as fun as Arithmancy, only this time he hoped not to lose points for stupid things like names. But really, he didn't know much about Runes aside from the fact that it involved symbols carved and drawn onto things. Like... a different language. He only hoped it was EASIER than learning another language, cause he was still failing at French despite Ashley and Avery's best efforts. There were too many weird sounds and words his mouth just couldn't wrap around.
His initial expectations for Runes were that it would be like Arithmancy. Desks and chairs and a board. But when he entered the 'classroom' he was blown away... almost very much literally. WHY WAS HE FLOATING IN THE AIRRRR?!
Zeke flailed a bit before taking in the sights. It was, under water? HOW?! ... and then of course the term MAGIC came to mind. The floating thing too, would be magic, how FUN!
"Hhh--hehhh.. hello," he stammered as he swam/drifted further inside and tried to get a grasp of something, anything... and failing.
Justine hadn't been very keen on Ancient Ruins, actually she wasn't keen on any class lately, a feeling which stemmed fine a combination of her own restlessness and how half the student body was behaving like escaped insane asylum patients. Astronomy had been the worst of it all, Hooksteed and the other characters had made a disaster of the lesson (which had really bugged Justine because it was actually one of her favorite classes), needless to say, Justine had excused herself early.
However, she thought she might give Bostros a chance.
Entering the classroom, Justine was not disappointed. The Professor had gone all out: the throne, changing around the classroom to make it look like an ocean, the rocks... And then Justine began floating, her body lifting into the air like a balloon. It was incredible! She grinned, trying it out, floating about classroom, though, one thing that wasn't great was the issue of her skirt....
Frowning to herself, Justine took out her wand and quickly transfigured them into shorts. There much better, now she could keep her modesty. "Professor, zis is amazing." Justine said, unable to keep the thought to herself as she slipped into one of the alcoves.
Maybe this would actually end up being enjoyable.

Entering the classroom, Lux was startled to find herself feeling like her feet had left the floor which could only mean that she was falling. A fear of heights went hand and hand with a fear of falling, so of course she started panicking....until she realized that she wasn't falling. She was FLOATING.
Still kind of freaky since she was off the ground, but at least there was no gravity, which meant no hard landings. That made Lux feel a little better. "Hi, Professor Botros! This is so cool." You know...when you stopped feeling freaked out about the no gravity thing, which should hopefully happen for her soon. Spotting some engravings on the wall, she figured that they were probably going to be a part of today's lesson.

Morning had been a great matter of confusion. The choice of clothing had been all wrong, everything rather drab and red always reminded him of the Queen. But the choice of headgear was worse. He couldn't find a single hat in his belongings besides a simple pointy black one. Ugg...he much preferred top hats! So very proud and dignified. Never the less, he had put the hat upon his messy head of bed hair and strolled about the castle wary of the Queen of Hearts and her cards until he noticed people heading into a room.
Oooooo something had to be going on!
He followed along with a jaunty step, quickly grabbing for his hat as it seemed to come right off his head. Until he noticed he himself was now floating above the floor. "Oh...De-LIGHT-ful!!" he exclaimed with a laugh as he moved around in the xero gravity. "I don't supposed you have a pot of tea?" he asked, as he did a minor flip almost quite by accident gaining another chuckle.
Oh look...the young woman from the table the other day.

Adi had been expecting the usual set up for Ancient Runes. Not this It looked so cool! And the students that were there already were floating/ hovering. He eagerly stepped into the room and was immediately lifted off of his feet.
WOOOOAH!
Professor Botros had a THRONE. Awesome! Adi used his hands to propel him over to Grayson. Just as the other boy was enthusiastically calling over to the Professor. "Hello, Professor. What Grayson said.''
"Yo, Grayson. What's up?'' How about a fist bump? Oh loooky! Bubbles were floating around him and the Slytherin. Cool! Adi grabbed hold of a rock and pushed himself off which caused him to float backwards.

Jasmine slowly made her way to the Ancient Runes classroom. She was not anxious to get there because this was definitely the most difficult class for her. Refusing to give up when things were challenging, she was determined to give it her best effort.
When she entered the room, Jasmine was startled as her feet left the floor. She began to float and realized that the room and been changed into an underwater setting. If she hadn't been so surprised, she would have immediately realized how cool it was there. As it was, it took her a few minutes to appreciate the awesomeness of the room.
"Hello Professor", Jasmine said as she floated by him. Then she gave underwater waves to Adi and Lux. This was going to be very interesting.

What the heck? Puck tucked a section of her hair behind her ear as she glanced around the classroom. Magic was wonderful wasn't it? The desks were gone, there wasn't a blackboard. Heck Professor Botros was sitting on a throne in the front of the room like King Triton.
Really, this was Ancient Runes...he was probably Ægir or Rán...but considering the weirdness of the school he could have been something else entirely. "Hello Professor Botros" Puck sent the old man a quick smile as she felt as though she was floating, the bubbles were one of the most interesting part of the class really.
"Hey Lux" she grinned at her friend and looked around the classroom. This illusion was so much fun, she continued to grin around at everyone.

One minute Toby was walking into the Ancient Runes classroom, swinging his schoolbag along side hime (and noting that Professor Botros was not waiting at the door), and the next... floating.
He gasped, understandably surprised. Only for a moment though, because attending Hogwarts meant that this sort of thing happened without warning aaaaaaaaaall the time.
"Coooooooool!" Toby exclaimed, floating and 'swimming' around. He wasted no time at all in somersaulting through the air/water, laughing gleefully. And then, of course, he finally spotted Botros. "Hi Professor Botros! This is super neat!"
Time to explore? Heck yes.

The Gryffindor noticed two things upon entering the room. One, who was playing the flute? Two...... Was he floating? What the heck is going on? As if Ancient Runes wasn't confusing enough.... This was weird. Zander looked around and grabbed onto rocks as he made his way towards-- That boy who was having a lot of trouble (Zeke). Poor guy was probably even MORE confused than Zander was and now THAT was saying something.
He reached his arm out towards the kid, but still held on to one of the rocks, just incase you know? Wouldn't want them both sinking or whatever. "Uh, grab on!" Bubbles?
Oh yeah, and he also smiled in Botros's directions, but he didn't have a hang of this whole underwater-but-not-really thing so he didn't "swim" over there.

Dorothy poked her head through the door and felt her mouth fall open. There was WATER on this side of the rainbow? Her head swiveled from side to side as she floated through the room. It was so...blue. Spotting a man seated in a throne, she propelled herself sa fast as she could in his direction. "Hello! Are you the wizard?" she asked excitedly. Home! She could get to go home! Dorothy looked down at her empty basket. "I'll find you too, Toto."
Times for another Ancient Runes class. Kace was quite excited for this he always loved coming to these lessons plus he and Bostros were cool with each other. As he entered the classroom he noticed all his classmates were floating. He gave them a quizzical look and stepped in and knew why. He was floating too like he was underwater.

He felt himself like he was swimming which i am sure it was intended since it was an underwater scene. He saw some rocks to hold onto but he was having too much fun. He was starting to do back flips and front flips in the air. He wondered where the professor was for all of this? He saw him and waved to him. "Hello Professor!!" he called out while still floating.

Penelope was really looking forward to runes class this term. She found the subject fascinating, and wanted to learn more about runes. When she entered the room, however, she began to have serious doubts about the class. Someone please say that this was just about the rune they would be studying today and that Professor Botros had not been possessed by a fairy tale character. It couldn't be worse than the astronomy lesson had been, could it? Deciding to find out for herself if the runes professor was himself today, Penelope floated over to the professor. "Good day, Professor Botros. I'm looking forward to studying runes this term." After greeting the professor, she found a rock at the edge of the room to hold on to.

What was that rising beside him? Adi could see something out of the corner of his eyes floating upwards. He craned his neck. EEP! It was Gus the Toad! The Hufflepuff tried to reach out and grab his toady but Gus was out of reach and because of the lack of gravity, he had a hard time shifting his position. When he finally did, he stretched...and stretched... It was no use. Gus was floating off, his wide toady eyes staring at his owner with reproach. "It's not my fault,'' Adi mumbled. He had totally forgotten Gus was as usual in his pocket

The Hatter was clearly happy to see his companion as the toad floated towards him. He managed to scoop him up in time before he moved away. "Too bad a don't see any teapots you can snooze in," he mused as he looked around the room. Plenty of floating students and one seated adult but no...no floating teapots. A shame really. "You can stick with me...eh?"
Oh look...it was the boy from the party!
The one who liked hot chocolate instead of tea. He gave a wave at the boy though wound up moving with the flow. Oops. But now to see about the older man and his chair. Doing his best to float his way towards that side of the room and keeping a grasp on his friend, he finally was close enough that he felt he could speak.
"Hello dear sir," he greeted with a big smile. "Mighty fine chair you can there." Indeed it was more throne than chair which made him stick out even more than being the only one sitting and not floating." I wonder if I may ask if its your un-birthday?" Special chair for a special day, he always said. Or was it special chair for any sort of day? The Hatter chuckled as he realized he wasn't quite sure which it was.

Pinocchio followed the directions he had seen on the board. It wasn't as difficult as he thought it would be when he started reading. He had looked long and hard to find a hat that would suit him. He had even stuck a feather into it and then he hadn't found any short pant outfits like papa gepetto had made for him, but he had cut the legs off of some regular coveralls and now he was properly outfitted like a boy his age should be. He had been whistling as he entered the classroom, his bright yellow shirt peeking out from under the bib of his outfit.
As he walked over the threshold he began to feel himself lifting off of the ground. It was very much like being a marionette in a show. He was used to feeling of being in the air, but without the strings. Oh boy! We're going to be in a real boy puppet show and everyone is dancing like they have no strings. I'll bet the puppetmaster will be very happy with how well we do a show. He had said this to no one in particular, but he noticed his satchel trying to float past him. He reached out to grab it and then for a rock. Very, very fun. This will be the best puppet show ever. He looked up to see who was operating the show, but he saw one who looked like he was in charge. Hi there! I'll bet Papa Gepetto would love to know how you operate so many puppets at one time.

There was always this one thing about Ancient Runes. Either you walked in and knew the class would be dead boring or you found yourself gearing up for something epic--never something in between, always one or the other. This was one of those epic classes as Lex had come to find out. No sooner than she'd entered did she feel herself floating up and up. Coupled with the class set up, this was brilliant!
Not wishing to float too far up, she hooked her arm around one of the nearby rocks to come to some form of a stop. It was official; she didn't care what they were learning today, this class was already a win.
"Good day Professor, nice throne you got there. Lemme guess, Kind Trident?" Only joking of course. After seeing Professor Airey get taken by hook she would allow herself to be entertained by the idea. It used to be unlikely but you never knew these days. He could be anyone, even himself. This was probably just one of those classes, you know?
"Is this to help us in learning more about 'Lagaz'?" Nice way of introducing the topic. Well thought out. Hats off to you Professor.
While waiting for the class to start Lex watched some of her classmates that seemed to not be all that there in the head. Had they found the book too? Merlin this was getting to be an infestation. Wonder what antics this class would bring and if she'd actually stick around to see this time.

Once her feet made it into the room, she was instantly lifted off of the ground and didn't know what to make of it all. She was... mostly uncomfortable. The whole floating thing? Yeah, not for her. She couldn't keep herself upright and was on a slow forward flipping path toward anything or anyone she could grab onto.
And the first thing that she happened to reach? A rock. A rock that happened to be very far from everyone else. So, she clung to it and kept her eyes forward on the front of the classroom.
This was going to be an interesting class.......

With all the goings on around the school especially the recent classes, Samantha was nervous about attending the lesson. Ancient Runes was a subject that she didn't do so well in. Samantha entered the classroom and was amazed at the set-up of the classroom. It was almost serene. After giving Professor Botros a smile and saying to him, "Hello, Professor," Sam floated over to where Penelope was and held onto the rock next to her.

Samantha understood Penelope's concern. After all, Sam had witnessed the younger Ravenclaw's emotional anguish during the recent Astronomy lesson. Samantha shrugged her shoulders at Penelope's question because considering the recent series of events, she wasn't too sure if Professor Botros was himself or not.
