Cris made his way along the passageways until he found an empty train compartment. He pulled his trunk inside before flopping down on the seat nearest to the window and wondered whether this was the same seat his oldest brother, Sander, sat when he first rode on the Hogwarts Express last term.
Cris looked around as the train began to fill up with students and wondered whether anyone would be sharing this compartment with him. For now he was alone, so he leaned back against the seat and closed his eyes.
Leah slid open the door of a compartment and made sure that no one was there before skipping in and lying down, taking up two seats. Her kneazle curled up next to her and purred. The girl patted her pet and rolled. Nothing was better than having a nap on the way to school. Though chatting with friends was not bad too.
The second year could not fall asleep easily because of her excitement to go to school and sat up. She looked out of the window, where people were busy boarding onto the train or seeing their family members leave.
Ascanius was a seventh year. A prospect that both delighted and terrified him. It delighted him 'cause, y'know, he was always someone that people should have looked up to--what with his looks and everything--but now he was officially role model material. Emphasis on the model. It terrified him 'cause school would be ending soon for him. And he hated endings.
But he wasn't gonna think about that. Nope. He was gonna take his yearly nap in one of the compartments. S'like his favourite activity on the train. Well, one of them. He quickly thought of the windmill Derry had gotten him. Beautiful Snaps. Always knew what her best friend needed.
Pulling open a compartment, Ascanius slipped in and drew out his drum sticks, twirling them easily in one hand. Perfect. Silence was perfect.

Angel couldn't believe it, she was finally heading off to Hogwarts, she had been reading up on the history of Hogwarts and had found it very interesting, she thought it would be amazing to tell Abby what she had learnt but well her sister seemed to have disappears as to the person who shared her face, well Angel still hadn't forgiven Aubrey for nearly getting her killed, seriously why had she fallen for Aubrey's oh there's nothing dangerous down her routing she always did.
Angel just sat in the compartment staring out of the window trying to figure out why a house would be called Hufflepuff, it sounded so funny and well she had no idea what house she wanted to be in though Slytherin and Gryffindor both sounded cool in their own way.

Bay had lost Lux, he didn't know what happened but he wasn't near her when the train was pulling away, it could be for the reason that everyone was running around trying to find a compartment. Searching up and down the corridors he tried to look for her or any of his friends. Someone had to be around here right?
Opening up a door he peeked his head in and to his pleasure he spotted Cris and a girl he had met at the school trip, Jasmine was her name… right? yeah it sounded right to him. "Hey Cris and Jasmine, mind if I come join you?" standing in the doorway he hoped they said yes, even though he's somewhat gotten over his fear of crowds it still made him feel uncomfortable.

Lux was not sure when it happened exactly, but at some point she had become separated from Bay. Not in the least bit worried, the girl had begun searching the train, knowing that she would find him somewhere and some of her friends as well. This was going to be a fun journey for everyone.
It was when she made it to the middle cars that she spotted him standing in the doorway of one of the compartments. Smiling, she walked up behind him and got on her tip toes before covering his eyes with her hands. "Guess whoooo."
Peering around in this position, she spotted Cris and a girl she had never met before. "Hello!" More smiles were coming their way.

Nola peered into a compartment, the third one since she boarded the train, searching for no one in particular. The eleven year old tapped a few times on the window before she slid the door open and poked her head in. "Are you going to sleep all the way to Hogwarts?" She asked. Nola was buzzing with excitement and was extremely close to bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet. Seriously though, how could anyone sleep on a train going to what Nola had heard was one of the greatest places on earth?

Cris was just resting his eyes, when he first heard movement to the left of where he was sitting and then a voice asking whether he minded if they join him. Cris immediately opened his eyes and turned to see who the speaker was. It was Jasmine! The girl he had met on the school trip to Peru.
He quickly sat up and smiled at her. "Hi Jasmine. Of course I don't mind. Quick grab the other window seat before someone does," he gestured to the seat directly opposite his before belatedly realizing that the girl might not want to sit opposite him.
"Uh...Um...I mean sit anywhere you want. You have lots of choices to pick from since I'm the only one here right now," he quickly corrected himself before grinning up at her.
Then before Jasmine could find a seat, someone else came up and stood behind her. Cris craned his neck to see who it was.

Nigel really should be doing rounds right now. Since Theo was Head Boy and The Head Girl was his girlfriend's best friend. So yeah, don't want to disappoint your friends....But a nap sounded so much more fun. It was basically a tradition now for him at least. After meeting everyone in the Prefect's compartment for the past to terms. He would sneak away and take a nap. Or just take one in the Prefect's compartment. They did not really care. As long as he did do rounds eventually.
So Nigel walked around trying to find a quiet place. Not the back were most of the noise probably will be. Middle sounded good. Nigel opened a hopefully empty car and it was occupied. But at least by someone he knew.
Ascanius was doing that drumstick twirling thing Nigel wished he could do without failing. He was just too lazy to practice. He flopped in the an empty seat. "Sleeping on the hard ground is a horrible way to try and be zen and maintain your good looks"

Kayla was happy to be on the train to Hogwarts. She had met the Ravenclaw Prefect, Head Boy and Head Girl beforehand. She had no friend but she knew she would make new ones. She was happy for every single class. She took a nap earlier to pass time.
She sneaked into the corridors to get some fresh air and was caught by one of the Prefects (from Slytherin). She went to go see Nigel (for he was her confidante at the time) and he rewarded her points for walking away.

Jasmin was relieved when Cris invited her to have a seat. "Thanks", she said smiling back at him. She was just about to take the seat across from Cris when someone else entered the compartment. Turning around, she saw that it was Bay, one of the boys she had met on the trip to Peru. "Hi Bay", Jasmine said. "It's good to see you again." She was happy that she was able to sit with two people that she already knew. If the rest of the students at Hogwarts were as nice as these two, maybe the year would be OK.
Moving over to the seat opposite Cris, Jasmine sat down and looked for Bay to follow. Before he could make a move a pretty girl appeared in the doorway of the compartment. She seemed to know Bay and Cris and greeted everyone enthusiastically. After Cris made introductions, Jasmine stood to greet the girl. "Hi Lux. It's very nice to meet you." She hoped that she was off to a good start and would meet lots of new people and make lots if friends at Hogwarts. Looking at Cris, Jasmine wondered how he had so many friends already when he was new just like she was.

Ian laughed. Yeah. You can lose house points for any number of things. Accidents or not, they do it to keep us from burning the school down I think. House points are earned by doing good things and go toward the house cup, an award presented to the house with the most points at the end of the year. Hufflepuff has won both years I've been there, so we are the House Cup Champions. It's rather exciting to see your house banner at the end of term feast.
Ian pushed his trunk up onto the train and then got AJ's and began to do the same. He wasn't sure that she wanted his help, but he was giving it. That was the proper thing to do. Soon, they were traipsing down the hall, trunks (and owl) stored in the baggage compartment and looking for a place to sit. You can choose wherever you would like to sit. I don't have anyone special I need to sit with, so I'll go wherever you'd like.

She was not a prissy girl by any means and she could have gotten it just fine by herself. Still, she knew how guys were and it was nice that he was being cool towards her. "Thanks though." That was one last thing that she had to be distracted by. Where did she want to sit. Hmmm... "Is there a good spot that I should know about?" Aubrey thought about being on a plane and knew that some seats were definitely better than others. She strolled down the aisles looking at everybody and everything that was going on around her when she spotted her sister.
"Angel." she yelled. "Where have you been?" Did she say goodbye to mum. Was her mum angry with her? "Where's Abby?" There was only one person left that needed to be accounted for and she was nowhere to be seen. If anything she was most likely still with their mother. Aubrey turned her attention back to Ian. "Ian this is my sister Angel, and Angel this is Ian." Did she forget to mention that she was a triplet? She only shared her face with Angel though.

Before anyone could talk he felt hands go over his eyes and that very familiar voice he knew all to well said "guess who" laughing he grabbed her hands from his eyes and kissed the instead of each. Turning around he picked her up and gave her a huge hug. "I turned around for one second and you were gone." he wasn't mad at her but it totally made him sad. Moving in the compartment he spotted that Jasmine had moved over for him.. "Thanks" he said as he brought Lux with him.
"so hows everything Cris?" he asked as he looked out the window, the view was amazing as always. Oh and there he goes again being totally forgetful and rude.. "yes sorry Jasmine this is my girlfriend Lux, she's in Hufflepuff" he pretty much had said everything that Cris had just said but he felt rude if he didn't introduce his own girlfriend, geeezzz AND OHHHH!!!!!!! reaching into his bag he pulled out a brown paper bag then name on it read LUX he passed it over to her "This is from my mother, I'm pretty sure you can guess whats in it" he laughed. Bay thought it was so cute that his mother had packed Lux some cucumber sandwiches.
Looking back at both Cris and Jas he smiled, "sooooo…. yeah what did you guys do after the school trip?" pulling Ziggy (his blue pygmy puff) out of his hood he placed him on his lap to give him some treats because he was being such a good boy. Patting his head he kind of thought that Cris and Jas would make a really cute couple, but he would keep that to himself for now. But he would be interested to see if anything happened.
Kace was exploring the train and he noticed it wasn't too full in the middle cars. He liked it that way. He managed to find an empty compartment. He smiled and shut the door and plopped down on the seat. He looked out the window and happy to be going back. He was hoping to meet Emmy and all of her friends he has been able to meet.
He took out his drawing sketchbook and began to doodle waiting to see if he saw anyone.

He smiled. It is awesome. I've had lots of fun earning points. Not so much fun losing them. I think I lost 14 or 19 points last term. Don't rightly remember which. I made the potions master angry when I spilled my potion. Wasn't my fault though. The boy I was with didn't like me. Course the feeling was a little mutual. He was a right silly git. At her question, he saw a little sadness there. Smiling to reassure her he responded Of course. Not all the time though. The houses each have their own places in the castle. The Hufflepuff House students stay in one level under (at least I think it's one level) under the ground level on the same level with the kitchen. I think the Slythies are below us and then I don't know where the other two houses are. But when we're not in our respective house places, we can hang out. I've even seen kids go between tables in the Great Hall, except for the large feasts.

Until, y'know, the door opened to reveal a Nigel. He got a bro!nod as he flopped down and started to talk.
That was the most insightful thing Ascanius had ever heard. "Write that on my grave, man?" For real. Those three things pretty much encompassed Ascanius' life in a snapshot, yeah? Save his girlfriend and the band. Did they matter as much as his looks though? That was the question. One he'd never ask out loud 'cause Pen would do the violence thing really hard on his knees.
Putting down him drumsticks, he rummaged in his bag and handed Nigel and a very special windmill that Snaps had gotten him. He tossed it to Nigel. "Derry got me that in Amsterdam." The most zen place in the world.

Giggling, Lux knew that Bay would know that it was her; otherwise he would be a terrible boyfriend, which he wasn't! He was an awesome one. Beaming as he kissed her hands then gave her a big hug, she was so happy that she had found him; she did not want to stop hugging Bay. "I know! I'm just glad I found you again!" She was sad when she saw he wasn't there anymore, but she had known she would find him while exploring, so everything was awesome! ^____^
Walking inside with Bay, she took a seat beside him. It was so wonderful to be on this train sitting with wonderful people. "So how are you doing Cris?" As introductions were made, she waved at the new girl. She was pretty and seemed nice. "Hey, Jasmine. It's very nice to meet you too. Are you new here?" That seemed like an awesome trip, and she was just about to ask more about it when Bay gave her a bag with her name written on it.
"Awesome! I really am needing my lunch." Happily, she reached her hands in and grabbed one of the sandwiches before unwrapping it and starting to eat. After swallowing the first mouthful, she said, "your mom is awesome." She was such a nice woman; both of his parents were nice.

Kyroh was suppose to one; find a compartment, two; sit down, and three; wait for the train to get to Hogwarts. It was an easy list to follow since there were SO many compartments on the train. Loads. Both to his left and right.
The only problem was that a lot of them were full. "Uhh oops sorry." The first year muttered drawing close another compartment door. Nope, full too.
It felt like he had walked through half the train! If he didn't find a compartment then he would be completely breaking the rules that his father had given him and that was starting to make the boy nervous.
Opening yet another compartment, Kyroh peaked inside. There were only two men. Boys?
Manly-looking boys.
They even hair hair on their chins.
"Am I allowed to sit in here?" Kyroh asked, taking a step into the compartment.

Until, y'know, the door opened to reveal a Nigel. He got a bro!nod as he flopped down and started to talk.
That was the most insightful thing Ascanius had ever heard. "Write that on my grave, man?" For real. Those three things pretty much encompassed Ascanius' life in a snapshot, yeah? Save his girlfriend and the band. Did they matter as much as his looks though? That was the question. One he'd never ask out loud 'cause Pen would do the violence thing really hard on his knees.
Putting down him drumsticks, he rummaged in his bag and handed Nigel and a very special windmill that Snaps had gotten him. He tossed it to Nigel. "Derry got me that in Amsterdam." The most zen place in the world.
See it was the truth. The harsh truth, because really very little can damage Nigel's hair or Ascanius's good looks. But it almost did ruin Nigel's face. Which was a close second behind his hair.
Hmm..what was this.
A windwill from Amsterdam. "Awesome" Nigel said taking it, examining it, and then giving it back. Especially the Amsterdam part. Which was the most zen place in the world. Definitily on Nigel's list of places he wants to visit. "Derry went to Amsterdam. Very Nice. Our band should definitely go there eventually. If we have the time and money, of course"
Or before all they go off and have jobs and grown up things.

Thinking about what Nigel would do in Amsterdam. He hears the compartment door open. Huh, looks like a first or second year. It is hard to tell for Nigel. He had manners at least. Asking if he could sit here. Nigel could really care less. He could not be mean since he might be this kid's prefect. You never know.
"I don't mind....as long as you don't annoy us"
Maybe that sounded a tad mean. Shrug. Nigel could never deal with younger kids. Especially ones named Ruby and Zahra.

Hmmm... maybe she would be the kind of person to burn the school down on accident of course. She could see why certain rules were in place even if she didn't agree with them. House cup and awards... it was just too much. "Awesome." For the most part things didn't bother her and she was pretty go with the flow, but she knew right away that she would be competitive in the house action. Then something occurred to her. "What if I get sorted into a different house than you? Could we still hang out?" It would be a bummer if she had to give up their friendship especially since it really just began.
Before she knew what was happening she saw Ian lifting her trunk up for her. "You didn't have to do that you know." She was not a prissy girl by any means and she could have gotten it just fine by herself. Still, she knew how guys were and it was nice that he was being cool towards her. "Thanks though." That was one last thing that she had to be distracted by. Where did she want to sit. Hmmm... "Is there a good spot that I should know about?" Aubrey thought about being on a plane and knew that some seats were definitely better than others. She strolled down the aisles looking at everybody and everything that was going on around her when she spotted her sister.
"Angel." she yelled. "Where have you been?" Did she say goodbye to mum. Was her mum angry with her? "Where's Abby?" There was only one person left that needed to be accounted for and she was nowhere to be seen. If anything she was most likely still with their mother. Aubrey turned her attention back to Ian. "Ian this is my sister Angel, and Angel this is Ian." Did she forget to mention that she was a triplet? She only shared her face with Angel though.

Ian watched the interaction. He wasn't the MOST observant person in the history of the world, however he sensed that Angel wasn't as excited to see AJ as AJ was to see Angel. Of course, he could have been completely misreading things (because it's not like that HASN't happened before) but it seemed that Angel was a little unhappy with AJ. He was also a little surprised they had another sister and neither knew where she was nor did they seem to care. Odd he thought to himself. His mum and dad had made sure that everyone had a travel buddy when they went places. Granted, it could be because they had to keep track of 8 kids, but maybe they just wanted everyone to feel like they had someone. Of course, with Ian gone his sister Grace didn't have a travel buddy, but she didn't seem to mind.
Hello Angel. Nice to meet ya. He looked around and there didn't seem to be anyone else's things in the compartment. Mind if we join ya? Looking for a place to sit on the way to Hogwarts and well, I've started talking to yer sister and this seems like a good place to sit.
He noticed she was holding a rather large book. He asked, What ya reading there? That's a big book.

Looking at Cris, Jasmine wondered how he had so many friends already when he was new just like she was.
"After our not so safe but interesting school trip, I was afraid I wasn't going to see you on the tra.....I mean I was afraid that you'd change your mind about coming to Hogwar...." Cris stopped mid-sentence when he realized he was stammering again.
He took a deep breath and waited a few seconds for his brain to catch up with his mouth, before he spoke again. "What I meant to say, is that I'm glad to see you here...on this train...um...with all of us," he quickly finished his sentence.
Swallow me floor. Right here, right now, before I make bigger fool of myself!
He turned to Bay, glad for the momentary distraction.

Looking back at both Cris and Jas he smiled, "sooooo…. yeah what did you guys do after the school trip?" pulling Ziggy (his blue pygmy puff) out of his hood he placed him on his lap to give him some treats because he was being such a good boy. Patting his head he kind of thought that Cris and Jas would make a really cute couple, but he would keep that to himself for now. But he would be interested to see if anything happened.
Cris laughed when he saw Bay hand over a brown paper bag to Lux. "Let me guess. There's cucumber sandwiches inside that bag." Cris commented eyeing the bag.
"Well one thing you don't have to worry about, Lux, is me taking any of them from you. I'm still trying to figure out how you and Sander can like eating those sandwiches. They don't taste nice at all...if they did have any taste...which they don't," Cris grinned over at his younger friend.
Then he realized how Bay had introduced Lux. GIRLFRIEND!!
"I knew it! Girlfriend huh? So you guys are a couple now. Sander called it right about the both of you. He told me to tell him the moment I found out. I must remember to tell Sander this when I send Asgard home. I know Sander will be happy when he hears the news," Cris sat back grinning at both his friends.
"He especially made me promise to keep a look out when you guys kiss. He still remembers the grief, Lux here, would give him every time he and Tessa kissed...which they still do by the way," Cris told everyone as he rolled his eyes dramatically.
"After the school trip, I got to accompany Sander over to St. Petersburg to check out his new school and the team he'll be playing with. They are a tough group, but I think he'll do well there. I still can't believe he's doing two things at the same time. Play professional ice hockey and pursue his studies at the Wizarding University over there. I don't know whether I could do that," Cris shook his head, baffled at his older brother's persistence.

"Yes, Lux I met up with Jasmine and Bay on the school trip. Too bad you were too young to come along. You would have loved it. We got to watch the sunset, fell down a mudslide, got chased by Mountain Trolls and got to explore El Dorado's secret cave. Jasmine over here was awesome. She didn't even freak out when she fell down the mud or when the Mountain Trolls attacked us. She's my kind of girl....I mean she's the kind of girl that should go on school trips like this," Cris nodded affirmingly, quickly correcting himself.
"So what did you do, Jasmine, after the school trip...and you too guys...besides dating each other?" he asked the others with a wide grin on his face.
