There was never enough food served at a meal for a properly growing 16-year-old boy. He could eat a full meal, but Mo would still be hungry an hour later. Thus, he was raiding the kitchens. Already. He was actually hungry already, but he was also stocking up for midnight snacks.

He wandered the rooms, pulling open cabinets and shaking his head at the contents. No, he did not want a bag of flour in his dorm room. No, he did not need raw potatoes. No... whatever that was... he didn't want it. Maybe a sandwich. Where was the bread?

Firsties led up to the Common Room and people settled enough for her liking--no hanging from the chandeliers equaled a HUGE success--she was officially ready to stuff her face...again and there was no shame in it either. At the feast she'd spent more time watching ickle Bellaire than she did eating and if she could help it, that would never happen again.

Lex tickled the pear and made her way inside, not really expecting to find anyone down in the kitchen at this time of the night, especially not after that full feast. The whole kitchen to herself? She liked the sound...of...this...."Mo?" Alexa tilted her head and stared over at the boy who'd beaten here. "Were you stuck watching some Professor's grandkid too?" Just how many of them were that old anyway? Couldn't have been plenty which got her thinking it might have been something else.

"Found anything good?"

Figures there'd be a Lex showing up to steal all the food. Or at least to make Mo share, which... he was more than willing to do. He gestured to the bread, cheese, meat, vegetables, and condiments he had gathered, filling a broad patch of counter space.

"I'm making Dagwoods, actually. I bet I can make and eat a taller sandwich than you can." He was basically an Olympic pro at sandwich building, a skill he really hadn't used much since he started dating a gourmet chef. Even out of practice, he could make a taller sandwich than Lex.

"And no... heck no. I don't do... anything related to small people. No babies, no little kids. Ick. That thing shouldn't even be permitted, and you shouldn't be forced to waste valuable learning time on it. You should write a letter of complaint."

Alexa looked to the counter as Mo was gestured to the things laid out. Bread was cool, she appreciated the meat...the cheese too but...uh...he could keep the veggies, thanks. She headed for said counters and threw the bottom ones open, grabbing two plates. Company for a late night snack wasn't what she had in mind but it was Mo so it was cool...plus he'd gotten here first and wasn't being all 'MY kitchen Cambridge' so she'd roll with it. One plate for him and the other for her, if she actually used it.

"You're on. I must warn you that I fail epically at sandwich making though but a challenge is a challenge yeah?" And last she checked, Gryffindors didn't turn down those. All she had to do was remember everything Lottie did when making them for her...and remember that the bread went on the outside. Clearly that was the most important part.

Waaait. Lex looked from the food to Mo almost immediately. "So I'm not alone on this?" She had to be sure. "Because I'm pretty sure everyone but Alice was gushing at the little Bellaire boy. Like legit, and they wanted me to share my candy with him." As if his grubby hands extending toward her for candy wasn't unnerving enough! Merlin! She reached for a strip of the turkey and began working on it. "It wasn't learning time though, just valuable feast time. Kid better be a Gryffindor when he grows up, he ate our food." And this was some good turkey. Did he know?

How could anyone be bad at making sandwiches? It was literally just putting flat things on top of each other. That was like saying someone could be bad at breathing. In fact, there were people who were bad at breathing who could still build a sandwich. Mo gave Lex a side eye before offering some helpful advice.

"Start with bread, and then you add a condiment. Not too much. Then you alternate meat and cheese and make sure you keep it as even as possible... no weird lumps of meat in the middle, or the whole thing will fall. And then more condiments, and more bread. Sandwich." He layered several kinds of cheese with the turkey and roast beef he'd scavenged, all in expert layers.

"People like to LOOK at little kids, but no one actually LIKES little kids. And he shouldn't have been sitting at your table." Like for real, Mo was just put out by this. Were they turning the place into a day care? Offering block stacking classes and potty training? Because Mo could do those things, but he really needed NEWT level Potions at the moment. Okay? "Don't eat all the turkey."

He was starting to look at her the way Lottie looked at her whenever she asked her to make her a sandwich. Did it bother her? Not particularly. Sandwiches were a lot of hard work and dedication that she didn't have, not when she was hungry and there was meat at her disposal. All looks were ignored but she did pay attention to his sandwich advice. Her expression fell at his disapproval of there being clumps of meat. Personally she thought they added a nice touch to the sandwich, whether they made them unstable or not. "Right, got it, bread and cheese." She made no comment on the meat rules. In her mind they were flexible suggestions at most.

"I don't see what's the appeal in looking at them." She said, taking a slice of cheese and simply nibbling on it. This was part of the problem, one of the reasons why she couldn't do sandwiches. Random munching. She'd eventually munch until she was full and the sandwich would be of no use to her. "They have snot filled noses and missing teeth." Someone help her understand how it might have been adorable, she seemed to be missing that.

Lex slapped the base bread on the plate but took another slice to munch on even as she worked. "How do you plan on getting the whole sandwich into your mouth if it gets to being too big?" She asked him curiously as she broke off a piece of the bread and popped it into her mouth. Know what this needed? She took a slice of the roast beef (because he said not to eat all the turkey and smacked it against it. Now another bite. "I mean, you won't get it all to fit without ruining the sandwich some."

Bay wanted some more food, he was still hungry. he managed to find his way to the kitchen.

when he first walked in the smell hit him.

Food "Ohh that smells great" his stomach instantly started to make noises and move.

Ana had decided to go exploring, and the first place she figured she needed to find was the kitchen. She could get quite peckish, especially if she stuck to her plans to explore the castle at some point, and so knowing where the kitchen was located would be super important. Which was why she'd watched the boy carefully to see what he was doing, and what room he was about to walk into. She was happy to see that he'd led her straight to her destination.

Copying the boys actions Ana walked into the kitchen, snorting at the boys proclamation, honestly, he wasn't only stating the obvious but he was talking to himself, and his stomachs immediate reaction to it.

While looking around at all the food he noticed someone walk in "this person must be hungry too" he thought.

"hey there" he said quietly he didn't want to talk to loudly to scare her.

"Did you want to find some food together?" just as friends though he already had someone in his heart and he didn't want to hurt Christmas.

"Hello," Ana replied, also talking softly, although not really knowing why she was doing so.

Get food together? Ana tilted her head as she considered the boys offer. She didn't know him, so it was a bit strange her was asking her to get food with him, but at the same time he was obviously just being friendly, and she actually didn't know anyone here, so really anything she'd do would be with a stranger...

"I'd like that," she finally said, the chance of perhaps making a friend deciding the matter for her.

"And meat. And maybe lettuce and tomato, if you go in for those things." Which Mo did, but he didn't have a lot of confidence that Lex knew food even came out of the ground. He started stacking his sandwich, occasionally unstacking as it became unevenly distributed. See, Lex? Expert here.

"I dunno. You're asking the wrong person. Cat's just become an aunt and she's all excited, and all I could think was... I'd much rather have a new broom than a baby around." And he'd said it too. Didn't get in trouble, but Cat had certainly wanted someone to be excited with her. He put the top slice of bread on the sandwich and stepped back to admire it.

"Look. Bread, cheddar, turkey, roast beef, colby, roast beef, roast beef, cheddar, turkey. Repeat repeat, then top bread." As for how to fit it in your mouth? Mo put his hand on top and flattened the whole thing. "Like that."

Couldn't he have been happy with her admitting he was right about the bread and the cheese? Had to go and add veggies to it, huh? Lex gave a slow nod. "Yeah...those....those things you don't usually see on my plate." She had a policy against healthy, you have to understand. Of course they were still eaten just sparingly so. "And I have an idea of how I want my meat looking between the bread but yours was a good example too." She supposed. Yeah.

"She's an aunt now? That's terrible." It was almost as bad as being immediately related to the thing, thus having to live with it whenever you got home instead of being able to palm it off at family get togethers then never seeing it again. "I'd take anything over a baby anyday. I'd trade my sister for a rock if I could, a nice shiny one to put up in my room but apparently my father likes her or something." Lex could never understand why. Jessa could hardly count pass ten and couldn't differentiate teal from sea green. SO obvious. Little people. What use were they?

Lex took another bite of her bread and roast beef while she watched him explain the impressive sandwich he'd just made himself. It was good. Really. "Uh-huh....well that answers that!" She said, grinning and sliding his plate with his impressive sandwich toward her. This could be hers and he could make himself another. She wasn't picky and didn't mind his whole palm had pressed it into shape. Just meant it could fit now. "Very considerate of you Mo."

Ascanius was a sucker for a pretty face, yeah?

Somewhere between breakfast and the first class of the day Alice Fischer had snuck up on him and curtly told him that HE was baking for her tonight. And even more miraculously she was gone before he even had a chance to argue. So now Ascanius Stark- ace looker and manly expert in all fields- was in an apron. The frilly kind with lace.

It was a challenge. But he worked it. In SHAME. But he worked it.

His face worked mostly everything.

....

Where was Alice anyway? He couldn't stick 'round too long. People would see. People would see the apron.

Obviously, she'd brought Mo's camera. Obviously. Who wouldn't want pictures of the masculine Ascanius Stark baking in a kitchen? Alice hadn't thought for a second that she'd find him in a frilly lace apron, but when she did, amusement was happening. And picture snapping. That too.

"You look attractive as usual, don't you?" So attractive that she had to capture it in photographs. Click.

You know, 'cause memories were important and all. Ahem. "What're you baking me?"

BLINK.

"Hey, hey, hey," he lifted his hand up over his face quickly. He didn't need any evidence that he had EVER put this ghastly thing on. It was hardly his colour. "No pictures, beautiful.......not with this......thing on."

Lowering his hand after a moment, he cocked his chin, "And yeah, I do." Look handsome, that was, yeah? Although that was barely news. Alice needed to catch up.

What was he-? His hands flew to his hips. The sixth year was slaving away in the kitchen for her and she hadn't even come with a proper idea of what she wanted to eat? Y'know this was why he never bothered. No one appreciated him. AHEM. "What would you like? Outside of pictures." 'Cause apparently she wanted those too.

Kace actually was getting a little hungry. He was wanting a snack. He decided to make a stop at the kitchens to decide what to eat. He looked around and noticed other students were here as well. He smirked and realized, at least he wasn't the only one hungry.

He was supposed to meet another third year here....but where was she??

"Are you kidding me? Look at you in that thing, Scany. You were made for the spotlight." She gave him solemn looks- wasn't feeding his ego always supposed to work?- and took a couple more shots.

Maybe she could get him into a dress next.

The hands on hips? Brilliant. "Cake, of course." What else? Alice hopped onto the counter and started snapping away at the camera button from a different angle. "But you can pose some more before you start baking, if y'want. Give me a three quarter head position and a little sass. These pictures don't come out well by themselves, you know." Click.

Silver had been all over the place, from wandering off to the lake, to loosing her beanie, to stuffing her double-decker PB&J in her mouth. After still feeling hungry she decided to go to the kitchens and make herself another sandwich.

Arriving she encountered herself with a face she's only seen at a distance. Walking in with a smile her tummy made a loud grumble. "Hehe oops." She nervously giggled. "Hi!" Silver waved at the young boy, who's face she recognized.

Made for the spotlight.

He was, wasn't he? The sixth year had the bone structure, the talent, the look. Well spotted, Alice. Y'know he did work the apron! The colour left a little to be desired, but true talent in the looks department could overcome any hiccup.

And that camera was really bright. Did she have to have it on flash? He'd look just as good without it. That was a fact.

Wiggling his hips and standing up straighter, he agreed, "I was, wasn't I? Yeah." Work it, Stark.

"Cake, got it." He went to work collecting the items for Alice and also pre-heat the oven.

Sass? Head tilt. He didn't NEED to strike a pose. Ascanius was just as good looking without one.

That didn't mean that he didn't throw Alice a bone, though. Pose.

Kace turned around and noticed a girl just walked up to him. He smirked and heard her tummy rumble. He chuckled and said, "I guess you came here because you were hungry too huh?" he asked the girl. She looked to be around his age.

"Hey i am Kace!" he said returning the greeting. "And you are?"

Silver giggled and nodded, "yeah, very hungry." Looking around she pinched her lips together, smirking. "Have you ever tried a double-decker, peanut butter and jelly sandwich?!" Silver grinned.

She liked meeting new people, especially good looking guys.

"Good to meet you Kace." Silver smiled real big! "I'm Silver!" She nodded and continued to smile.

Kace smiled and nodded and was glad they were on the same page. "I am glad we got the hunger aspect covered." he joked a little bit. "Ooohhh noo i have not." he told her. "Would you care to teach me?" he asked her.

Ohhh interesting name. "Nice to met you Silver!" he responded.

Silver giggled, again she was easily drawn to people with a good sense of humor. "Food is awesome." She joked back.

He hasn't tried her favorite sandwich! =0

Well that was going to change. Nodding at his response Silver beamed. "Gladly! Okay let's grab some bread and PB&J." She instructed.

"Your name is super amazing!" She complemented.

See? Someone should start slipping vegetables into Lex's meals, because that was the only way she was going to eat healthy. Maybe he could just make her a sandwich every day, and she'd at least get a bit of lettuce and a slice of tomato. Would that suffice?

Probably not. "Don't say that to her. She loves being an aunt. And... being a big sister is important, even if you don't like it. Maybe you should owl Vivi about it, since she hated me for about 17 years and still managed to be a good big sister." It was funny, 'cause he was only 16, see? Mo wasn't a fan of babies, but that didn't mean that they should dismiss how important it was that Lex try to be a good sister.

And then she stole his sandwich. Mo just fish faced at Lex, wondering if such a thing was even permitted. HOW COULD SHE STEAL HIS SANDWICH? "YOU DO NOT STEAL A MAN'S SANDWICH, CAMBRIDGE." And then he started building a new one.
