The new Gigantor, the hufflepuff one not the ravenclaw, had been right! There WAS a food trolley on the train and Kevin simply could not contain his excitment. He had dropped his Luggage at the Luggage compartment and had been walking through the hallways of the train in search of this glorious trolley.

With his hands in his pockets, his fingers touching the money inside of them he looked at the food trolley and chewed on his lips, wondering what he should buy for the train ride. He wanted everything but he wasn't THAT rich.

....He needed someone to pay for it. He looked behind him in the hope that he would find someone.

Finally.

It was time to go back to school and this meant no annoying family at Hogwarts. But there was homework to deal with and waking up early for classes. Jun dropped off his luggage and made his way to the food trolley. It was usually the first place he'd go to. Or got a seat before anyone else could. Stepping inside the trolley, Jun noticed a familiar little someone standing in line. Walking behind him, Jun spoke.

"Are you not finished yet or are you going to pay?" He asked him. Well, the mini-me was just standing there, not doing much so he had to ask. "Do you not have enough to pay?" Maybe that was it?

Marigold stopped by the food trolley and took a look. Sure, she wasn't hungry yet, but she could stock up on food. She liked food, yes she did. She grinned, and decided maybe she would get a chocolate frog. Or maybe jelly beans... so many decisions to make! She paused and looked around again. SUCH HARD CHOICES.

Because not many students was here yet, Kevin heard the footsteps coming closer from behind him. He turned around, hands still in his pockets touching the money and a tiny smirk played on his face when he saw who had walked towards him. "Hey..Jun right?" He wasn't Gigantor anymore because he had found someone who had been MUCH taller than this guy.

"I was picking out the food i wanted to eat and..." the eleven year old stopped midsentence when he heard the guys last line. Seemed like he had found a fool. He made a sad face and wibbled his lower lip as he looked up at the Ravenclaw. "I didn't eat on the way here because i was too nervous and my parents forgot the food they wanted to give for on the train and and and...i don't have any money and i'm hungry!" The hungry part wasn't a lie because he was. The didn't had food or no money part WAS a lie and he didn't feel bad even as he touched the coins in his pocket with his fingers.

Remembering what that drama queen in Madam Malkins had said about acting, the kid made a dramatic sigh and looked longingly at the trolley which wasn't hard to do actually.

It was perhaps very unorthodox but Sophia was on the Hogwarts express for the first time in many many years. It was a very surreal experience stepping unto the train again but she had done it and was flooding with memories of the past. She felt like she was seventeen again, boarding the train for a fresh start.

She wasn't allow to wallow in nostalgic feels however as Bentley wanted to see and touch everything. Yep she had her four year old grandson with her and he was very eager for his first ever train ride.

She of course was looking for the less populated area to sit in but Bentley spot the trolley and immediately started tugging.

"Look grandma!" He continued his relentless tugging. "Candy"

After dropping off most of her things, save her kneazle which was snuggled in her arm, in the Prefect Compartment, Lex took to walking the train. Make no mistake, it wasn't to 'check up on people' or whatever it was Badged people did. It wasn't her, not yet, hence the badge still shoved to the bottom of her pocket. This was was to grab something by the food trolley. Might as well now, she'd be off looking for Lottie a little later on in the ride. They had a tradition to keep afterall and she hadn't learned poker for nothing!

Only thing now was finding that trolley. Merlin knew the woman had a habit of walking up and down the train, ending up just where she didn't need her.

As the approached the trolley she drew immediate brakes. WHHHOOOOAAA, whoa whoa. Stop. Bellaire was in the train. Last time they had adults onboard the bloody thing stopped in the middle of nowhere. "Hello Professor." She said, approaching her and the trolley with a curious stare. It'd have been overly inquisitive to ask what she was DOING on the train, inevitably jinxing them so she settled for a, "I didn't know you had another son." She eyeballed the grabby little thing. He looked about Jessa's age.

And look, there was that Hufflepuff she'd seen around, Marigold, wasn't it? "Sup?"

Jun nodded. "You finally called me by my name, Kev," Because Jun never really called people by their full names. It was too much effort for him and nicknames were easier. Kevin went ahead and explained why he was taking a while on the line. Or to get food for that matter. But he needed to hurry up because Jun was hungry and a bit tired. He arched an eyebrow at the younger boy, but nodded nonetheless. "I guess I'll just pay for your stuff then. Don't want you starving to death here either," he said picking out what he wanted to eat as well.

But Kevin made a dramatic sigh and it made Jun roll his eyes.

"Everything you said you've been more convincing had you not sighed at the end," Jun turned and looked at him and poked Kevin lightly on his forehead. A sigh always gave things away when people were trying to be convincing. "But I'll pay this once because I can be nice sometimes. Even to annoying little kids like you,"

Professor Bellaire looked down at Bentley and smiled at him. As much as she hated to admit it, he really did look a lot like Dylan and somehow he managed to be very good looking. There was an internal sigh. Halfblood or not she really did adore her grandson.

"Grandmummy can see it Bentley, now you wait or we'll turn right around and you'll snack on fruits for the entire journey to Hogwarts." Love or not she was not allowing him to turn into a hooligan. Merlin knew she was surrounded by the lot of them.

Sophia looked over her shoulder at Alexa. Her eyes fell to her chest and she frowned at the lack of badge. "You wear that badge Cambridge or return it and you really ought to work on your subtlety. He is not my son. He's my grandson."

Bentley looked between the two and frowned. Was it their turn yet? He really hadn't tasted candy in so long that he was starting to salivate. "Awre you getting candy too?" Innocent hazel eyes looked up at Alexa.

Marigold glanced at the Professor's... child...? and smiled at Bellaire. Yes, hello there teacher. She looked at the other girl. Looked like a fifth year or somewhere around there. When the girl - Lex or something? - greeted her, she grinned back.

"Hi." Hi person.

Op! Hear that? Bellaire just called herself 'grandmummy' and were it not for the fact that snickering would have landed her a night in the dungeons while everyone enjoyed the feast later, she might have had herself a fit of it. As it stood, she kept as straight a face as possible and tried not to think that the Professor was old. It wasn't exactly something that crossed your mind during classes throughout the term and especially not with the way she dressed.

Lex peered around the woman, to get a better look at the trolley. Despite a full bag of candy slung over her shoulder she was already thinking she'd have some of those...a few of that...maybe a couple of those things right there--

Her attention snapped back to the woman when she gave her warning. Alexa's eyes widened some, knowing fully well just how much the woman MEANT that. "Yes Professor!" She said, fumbling for the badge in her shorts' pocket then clumsily pinning it to her shirt which ironically happened to be saying 'no rules'. Yeah...she'd change into her uniform soon....

"Yeah...grandson...you know it can be seen as a compliment. Just means I still thought you were young enough." Seconds after that had come out she realized how little THAT sounded like a compliment...ahem. Just focus on the kid Lex.

"Yup, I am, just as soon as you get some." Considering she wasn't stupid bold to cut in front of a Professor.

Lex gave a nod at the girl's greeting and noted the way she was looking at the little boy too. See? She hadn't been the only one wondering. "Doing some last minute candy shopping before we hit school?" She asked by way of building a conversation. Might as well. They were stuck here til the Professor ordered something.

Joy.

Sophia watched as Alex pinned the badge unto her chest. Maybe a little responsibility would help straighten the girl out and force some sort of majority.

Her eyebrows raised as Alexa Cambridge spoke and her lips thinned to a line. Really? Was this the best she could do in ways of a compliment or did Alexa really think that she was born yesterday? Either way, her compliment earned her a frown from the Transfiguration professor. "It's best you quite while you're ahead Cambridge. It wouldn't look very good for a prefect to be thrown into detention when she should be setting an example." That was a warning.

Bentley nodded. There was someone in front of him and he remembered what they taught him in wiz-prep about waiting his turn in a line. "Awre you getting cocolit frogs? Cocolit frogs awre hoppy." He proceeded to hop on the spot. Hop hop.

Kace was going to go find a seat, when he really needed some snacks first. He was gonna go to the food trolley and then find his seat. He walked down until he noticed a familiar face and voice. He smiled at that face. It made his stomach have butterflies in it.

Kace decided to creep up on her quietly. He tip toed so she wouldn't be able to hear or see him. Then he covered her eyes and said..."Guess who?"

Then Kace saw another familiar face. Kace smiled when he saw Alexa. He remembered the times they spent at the lake last semester. Kace then spotted her badge glinting in the light. His eyes went wide and he said, "Congrats on Prefect! I am loving the badge!" and held out his hand for a handshake. He didn't know if she liked hugs too much.

And there it was. She saw it coming a mile away. Lex gave a quick nod, decidedly glad it was only a threat of detention and not the real deal considering it WOULD look bad and she'd probably have to hand in her badge just when she was starting to like the idea of it. "Right...sorry Professor." And she would say nothing else that had anything to do with age. Clearly it was a touchy subject.

"So um," She took a glance down at the little boy, "is he staying the term too? Or just here for the ride?" There was that one year Professor Scabior had taken his son and Lafay had her daughter but given the past few terms, it didn't seem like such a good idea.

Her head followed the bouncing movement before her. Kid could move, she'd give him that. "Yup, gonna add a couple to the ones I have in my bag. Are they your favourites?" She didn't like little people, but she'd make the exception in the case of chocolate frog lovers.

"And you Professor? Are you getting chocolate frogs too? Never thought you had much of a sweet tooth or appreciation for sugar." Not with the way the woman EMPTIED her candy bag during that match last term. Yeah, she was still bitter about that.

And suddenly there was a hand being offered to her, Lex blinked, taking an extra second to realize that the earlier 'congrats' had been meant for her. Once it fully hit her she grinned over at her little friend. "Thanks! I like it too." And apparently she was obligated to have it on even before school legit started, go figure. "Had an interesting summer?" The typical question one asked after long absences from each other. She herself had had a busy one, badge aside. Kinda made it suck that she was on the train now.

Kace felt bad he interrupted her conversation but he didn't mean to. But she seemed happy to see him. "I know it looks good on you. You nervous about the tasks ahead of you?" he asked her curiously. "I kind of know because my sister was one." he shrugged incase she was curious about how he knew.

Then he heard her question and he thought about it. "I did have an amazing summer as Adi put it. I went on a cruise for 7 days to the bahamas and i went snorkeling, scuba diving and swimming with the dolphins." he said with his bright smile and his eyes wide. "I also went to sports camps for football and soccer where i got my butt kicked, my muscles were sore and i got my body tackled by the older kids but it was all good." he smiled.

Marigold finally found her voice for Bellaire.

"Hello Professor! How was your summer?" she asked politely. She also crouched down - though she kind of didn't need to, as she was short - to say hi to the Professor's grandson. "Hi! I'm Marigold. What's your name?" She stood back up and noticed that there was a slight tension between the professor and Lex. She tried to find a way to diffuse the tension. She pointed at Lex - it was Lex right? - and at the badge.

"You are a prefect? Congratulations!" She grinned toothily at Lex and nodded to respond to her question.



Marigold jumped at the sudden darkness... but she knew that voice! She grinned and squirmed in her best friend's grasp, then sighed.

"Hey Kace! Can you let go of me please?" She tried to ignore her thoughts. Yes, the last time she spoke to him, it was kind of about her dead grandpapa... but then again she could still tell him THAT!

Right...?

Kace heard her voice and then he suddenly let go. "Oh sorry...but at least you knew who it was right?" he grinned at her. "So how are you doing? Whatcha getting on the food trolley?" he asked her.

Kev. He just called him Kev! The first year crossed his arms over each other and shook his head. "My name is Kevin, not Kev" he said. "Well, technically that's not my real name either" it was Kenji but whatever.

Kevin tried not to laugh at the Ravenclaw's good heart or that he was falling for his lies. Was he REALLY the smart house worthy, if he was he wouldn't have fallen for this right? Or was the nerd house only for people who loved to study even if they weren't smart? He still had an innocent expression on his features when it changed in to a scowl. "You're not as dumb as i thought you would be, congrats" IT WAS A KEVIN COMPLIMENT!

And then he was saying he was going to buy the food for him anyways. Kevin just stared at him and blinked his eyes. "Wait..what? after i lied you STILL want to buy me the food?!" If he was the hugging type of person he would have wrapped his arms around him but he wasn't so he just smiled awkwardly. "Thanks man! i take back what i just said" ...kinda.

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed an older woman (Professor Bellaire) with a little child. He nudged Jun in his side and rudely pointed at her. "Isn't she too old to be in this train?" he whispered, hoping it was soft enough. "Is that a student who has failed her last year so many times and is still stuck at school?"

With all the stuff that had been going on at home, Michael had left without having any breakfast. Who could eat when your parents were going on and on about that even though he had a girlfriend, he shouldn't let his studies suffer.

The thing was,he didn't have a girlfriend. He had merely kissed a girl in a DA just to see what it was like and unfortunately his aunt had seen and she had told everyone at home and they were now bombarding him with a million questions.

So the last thing he wanted to do was sit down at a table with them and eat breakfast which now meant he was starving.

He stood in line waiting for his turn, tossing a galleon in the air and catching it again while checking out the other students there. Alexa, he knew of course but the others not so much. Although he had seen them around.

Hmm, what should he get?

The summer break had gone by so fast. They were already going back to Hogwarts and Olly hadn't spent nearly as much time with her sister as she would have wanted. Somehow she'd just had...other things to do too. Things like spending time with people. Quality time.

That was definitely new.

Olly had briefly left her compartment to get some snacks from the food trolley lady, seeing as she'd missed her earlier. And she hadn't brought anything to eat. And neither Alec nor Ella were anywhere to be seen. Because obviously THEY always had sweets on them. Which was something to eat. Which in turn was something Olly craved right now.

As it were though Olly had to actually BUY something for herself now. No fair.

Seventh Year.

Wow. Where did the time go? It feel like just yesterday he get on the Hogwarts Express for the first time and now he's on his last train ride to Hogwarts.

After Messer secured himself a compartment, he made his way to the food trolley. He already has his own sweets supply but he just can't resist the sweets from the food trolley lady. The seventh year spotted his favorite, Chocolate Frogs "I'm sorry do you mind to move aside a little?" Because she's kinda in a way between him and that delicious looking Chocolate Frogs.

Welp the corridor proved to be very uninteresting and he never found any opening to climb through to try his train surfing theory. So now to move somewhere else. He had heard people in passing talk about a food trolley an the thought made his stomach grumble again.

FOOD!!!

Nothing else to do he figured he should just go eat and then he found it and there was a huge line. Honestly did everyone have screaming twins at home so their parents just gave them cereal and nothing else?

Seeing the girl from the platform up ahead he figured in the back of the line was fine. He was still a bit embarrassed from the diving for a frog thing even if he wouldn't admit it to anyone, but then he saw an adult. Why was there adults on the train? Was she a student that had just failed that much?

Noticing a boy in front of him throwing his money he remembered to pull out his own. "Hey, Hey dude, what's good here? I mean to eat?" The boy didn't look that much older than him maybe the same year even so hopefully he would know what this food trolley had.

That's right Cambridge you really should be sorry. Though she didn't know what the girl expected. She was a witch and though she was edging very veeery close to fifty, she looked amazing. Good genes and magic did that. She flipped her straightened hair over her shoulder and nodded at Alexa. Off the hook for now.

She too looked down at Bentley who was still bouncing. "I haven't decided yet. It just depends on how the term goes." And that was all she would say on that matter.

Bentley didn't wait for her to finish. He had figured out a way to get candy without all the waiting. His hand stretched out to her. She needed to put candy there right now before he pulled out his heavy artillery....the pout with tears. He'd do it, he wasn't big on bluffing.

Professor Bellaire looked down her nose at Alexa. "I don't."

Oh so finally the child found her manners."Hello Miss McAlister. My summer was good. How was yours?"

[B]Bentley turned to look away from Alexa, even though his hand was still out for candy. He put the other one out for good measure. Two hands of candy was better than one.
"Hi Marinold..I'm Ben Ben."

Sophia frowned...deeply and turned to stare the pointer square in the eyes. Oh so he wanted to be rude and point and whisper did he? Clearly he was an incoming first year but she would teach him that she was not one to mess with. No no.

"Keep an eye on Bentley Cambridge, there's your first task for the year." Without sparing another second, Sophia produced a clothes pin and clipped it unto the boy's pointing finger and added a little sticking charm for good measure.

"You keep that one until you learn to mind your manners child. What is your name?" And yes he was receiving glares.

Christmas was hungry and like always she didn't want to waste her school supply of sweets that she had bought in diagon alley so she waited patiently for her turn to be served at the trolley

Did she.........yes, of course she minded.

Olly turned her head to see who it was that was talking to her. Ah. Yeah. She'd seen him around the common room a couple times. Not sure what his name was, though. She'd never bothered to ask. To be honest, she wasn't even sure which year he was. Looked to be around her age though. Sort of.

"I was here first." Even though she didn't know WHAT she wanted yet. Olly raised her eyebrows at him before turning around again to consider the sweets selection. She might just take a little longer on purpose.
