It's a known fact that fire and paper isn’t a good combination. The library has therefore always featured a sparse number of torches on the walls to minimize the danger to the books. On test this year the torches have been replaced by enchanted firefly lamps. A good number of stained glass windows grace the walls at regular intervals where the room is connected to the outside wall of the castle to ensure that adequate light comes in. Stretching from floor to ceiling these windows depict famous witches and wizards from history, important historical events and beautifully detailed magical creatures or at least that is what you should see.
Come sit down and relax in one the cushioned window seats. Read a book under the warm gaze of a healer or the roaring growl of a dragon. According to legend work gets completed faster if you sit in Rowena Ravenclaw’s window so why not try if there is any truth to it? The glass in the windows can’t be broken by spells or physical force but please be mindful and respectful of the beautiful artwork. Remember to keep your voice down since many people come to the library to study or get a moment or two of quiet.

Bay had already been walking around the Library for at least two hours now, while looking down one row of books he saw some stained glass windows. "This would be a perfect place to relax and read my bool" he thought while making his way down the row. "so many books. I wonder if I could ever read these in my life time" he said to no one.
He made it to his destination and sat down hard on the nice soft bench window seat. Pulling his feet up so he could look outside and read his book at the same time, he hoped that no one would want him to move.. this was starting to get comfortable, maybe a nap was needed.

Bay blushed, no he hadn't seen her in a match but when she excelerated on the pitch he knew she was fast. "ermm no, I haven't but I can tell a good Quidditch play when I see one" he snorted.
"you and me both Alice.. It should be a choice to take.." he added. It wasn't for everyone and a lot of students didn't like to take it. "Oh yeah your in your seventh year right.. Newts.. i have my Owls I'm worrying about." so they both had big tests to take at the end of the year. ewww tests, one thing Bay hated more than health food.
He saw her look at his book and she asked if he had one "oh yes.." showing her the book "he's not with me right now, a good friend has him.. I got him over the summer at the adoption fair. His name is Ziggy and he's a blue fur ball." looking around the Library he decided he should lower his voice more "He's my first real pet, i don't count the family owl. so I want to make sure i know everything about him and take care of him real good." confessing.

Looking for a nice indoor spot to read because it was rather chilly and rainy outside today, Lux had wandered over to an area of the library that contained a number of stained glass windows and some comfy looking chairs. Figuring that this was as good a place as any to sit, she plopped herself down in one of the chairs, and opened her book to start reading. It was about Quidditch, so she knew it would keep her occupied for a while before the rain stopped and the sun came out again.

"WHOA, that is the best idea ever, Tessa." Her friend was totally awesome to have come with that whole thing on her own, and everyone would have so much fun eating food and throwing it at each other. It would be her first food fight as well, since she had never had one with her siblings as far as she could recall.
Biting her lip at the question, she tried to think of anything else that might be added to the party plan. "There should be lots of Chocolate Frogs and cucumber sandwiches." But not to throw at people; they had to be eaten because they were too good for throwing.

Shaking her head, Lux sighed at her friend. How could they not realize that they liked each other? Even she knew, and she was 12 and repulsed by the whole thing! "I just don't want you to kiss him around me." If they were to do it, she needed it to be as far away from her as possible so that she could pretend that they never did it; that would make her really happy. "You look at him weird, so I wanted to know because it seems people who do that... kiss."

Cosgrach stepped inside the library as silently as he could. He didn't want to disturb any studying students, after all, as if they were really studying. He could differentiate the ones just by looking into their eyes, but he wasn't going to torture and scare the kids. Instead, after a few minutes' search, he found the book he was looking for--Divination for Non-believers, glared around for them not to see the title, and sat down on his favourite coach. He was careful to le the book completely on his knees so that the name couldn't be seen, flipped to the page he had been reading--he couldn't get past 50 in two weeks, shame on him--and started reading.

This was going to be embarrassing when he woke up (even though he was snoring very lightly), but currently, he was pretty much enjoying himself.
She was sitting pretty close by. Not that Ella had noticed the Professor come in, nope. She was currently invested in Dragon Species of Great Britain and Ireland and couldn't be bothered. Ever since her discussion with Thompson, the head girl was determined to learn all she could about dragons. The badger continued on reading intently until she heard something nearby.

Ella jumped too, her own eyes widening at the man's reaction. This...was awkward. Yes. You'd think she'd be used to situations like this by now. Oh gosh.
"I um...Professor?" Her voice was quiet, not wanting to attract too much attention. "You were sleeping. Or...well, not sleeping." Finger quotes around that bit. "I just mean, I didn't see anything if you don't want me to have seen anything." Serious nodding there.
"I just didn't want to leave you sleeping like that in the library."
