Laura had decided it was time to go and explore and see if she could see or find any new places that she hadn't been able too since she came to this school. Though she doubted that any such places actually existed because she had explored this castle fully.

Laura decided to go brick by brick to see if she could find a hide room or something. Maybe there was writing on the walls from people who hadn't been in the castle for years though she was sure the Professor's wouldn't allow that to happen.

"Hi Ho Hi Ho , Its off to search we go!!" Laura was going to pretend that she was that Sherlock Holmes person that everyone talked about. She was going to find some clues if she could.

Heading back from the Owlery, Noel decided to not go straight back to the common room - but wander a little bit.

Because, seriously, how many chances was he going to get to explore Hogwarts for the VERY first time.

So he was still peeking around, looking at places - when he found himself in the kitchen. And what a massive kitchen that was. Wow. He would have stood there staring .. if it wasn't for the sing-song like phrase he heard next. Head turning back, he noticed a rather tall - or well older girl there as well.

"Hellooo," he greeted. "What are you searching for?" he asked, a little dumb founded.

Laura looked around as she heard someone speaking. "Hello there." Laura smiled. "I'm Laura and I'm looking for shoes." Laura had somehow already lost a pair of shoes. "I have no idea where to search, so I'm acting like Sherlock Homes because he is such an amazing detective." Laura just needed a hat and then hopefully She could be an amazing detective if her racing career didn't work out.

Laura looked at the young boy. "So what bring you around here?" Laura smiled. "You looking for something or are you just hanging around?" Laura was hoping she might make a new friend.

"Helloo Laura, I am Noel. And why would you think your shoes would be in the kitchen," he said, pretty straight forward and still as dumb founded.

Was that what the older, cooler kids doing these days? Looking for socks in the kitchen?

"Oh. I was just looking around. Just you know wandering about,"

What a corridor! There were paintings full of food in this corridor unlike others where there were paintings of witches and wizards. Leah was on her way to the common room, and was attracted by all sorts of paintings in this corridor. She could not take her eyes off them until she noticed that two other people were there too.

"Hello," she said. It would be rude to just go past the two of them now that she was in here, and she would love to make new friends. She kind of recognized the boy, who she saw several times in the castle. "I'm Leah. Am I interrupting your conversation?" Leah asked, trying to sound as polite as possible.

"Hi Noel." Laura smiled, now though she had no idea what she was supposed to do or say but being a seventh year she didn't want him to think that she was rude or anything. "So how was year summer?" Laura suddenly asked out of the blue, she was about too continue when...

"Hello Leah." Laura smiled. "I'm Laura." She then realised that the girl was in Hufflepuff like herself but she hadn't seen her before saying that she had been really busy with a few other things and hadn't really done much since coming back and spending a bit of time in the dorm. "So how are you today?"

Seventh year? Leah would have six more years until she got to that age, and that was a long time. She never considered about her last year of Hogwarts (this was her first!) and she did not want to.

"Right floor. So, it's the... er Kitchen Level. Oh, thanks for offering but I just remembered that I have to get back upstairs. Forgot something." Dang it. Poor memory. "Wait, this is the Kitchen Level. There are pictures of food here. So... this corridor leads to the Kitchen?" The girl asked, after thinking for a short while. It was not so hard, really. Her eyes travelled automatically to the painting of a bowl of fruit and stopped there.

Hawthorne walked down the stairs towards the kitchen, all her potions stuff in hand. She had a meeting with the professor in his office as soon as he locked up the classroom so she needed to put away her supplies and change her robe before going down. She also needed to check her shoes, she didn't want any unnoticed potion going onto her professors carpet.

She walked straight through the corridor and towards the barrells.

Hope had made the decision to explore the castle from bottom, up! She was surrounded by picture after picture of food and knew for certain that she was near the kitchen. One day, just not today, she would have to explore the kitchen itself. Maybe she could bake something. Going down any further in the castle was out of the question. She wasn't really brave enough to approach the dungeons alone outside of having to head to class. She held her Hogwarts, A History book in her arms and she walked slowly admiring the images that caused her stomach to grumble just a bit. "Where is everyone?" Shouldn't there be people? Or was everyone outside enjoy the fall colors?

Beezley had walked out of the kitchens and was making her way down the corridor. She was tired of making cookies, but she would come back later. She wanted to see the rest of the castle and see how else she could help the studentsies besides always cooking for them.

She was lost in thought about the whole cookie situation, when a studentsie shouted out looking for---an elf maybe? Beezley automatically felt bad and thought she shad failed the studentsie. "Beezley is sorry, Missus. What can Beezley do to help you?" she asked.

Hope looked around a little more and gave up on trying to find someone to talk to. Obviously she was going to explore the castle alone was the time being. She was just about to head up when she was stopped by the sound of a voice. She looked at the source and cocked her head to the left. She had read about house elves but never had she ever met one.

She shook her head. "Oh, no need to be sorry. Beezley, is it? No, I was just wondering where everyone was. I was hoping to maybe meet some new people. Figure out the castle. Go exploring. Do fun stuff, just indoors." She wasn't sure how to respond to the situation at hand. "You wouldn't happen to know what fun things there is to do around the castle, would you?" If the elf did, she could be on her way to do those things, and maybe find more people doing them.

Marigold skipped down the corridor. She knew the kitchen was down here somewhereeeee... right? She had heard rumors of pears and house elves or something... Hmmm. Anyway, she was skipped along and spinning around. WHEEE.

She was bored. And a bit hungry.

Turning around, Leah saw a familiar face skipping down the corridor. "Hi Marigold. Where are you going?" She said, grinning. "How was your day? I'm starting to love it here at Hogwarts." It was true. She loved every single corner of the school, even this Kitchen Level Corridor.

Beezley widened her elfish eyes as the girl tilted her head. Did Beezley do something wrong? Was there leftover flour on her little dress!sack? She glanced down and looked at herself, wanting to make sure she was presentable to the studentsie.

She gave a wide, toothless grin when the girl spoke. "Beezley, yes, Missus," she said. "Beezley isn't a studentsie, but she is here to serve the studentsies." Could she get the girl a cookie, maybe? Missus didn't seem to want to eat cookies, though. Beezley couldn't imagine anyone not wanting cookies, but this studentsie seemed to want an adventure.

"Beezley sees studentsies out at the lake. Many, many studentsies," she pointed out. "Has Missus been to the lake?"

Marigold grinned at the girl. She recognized her from the feast. "Leah, right?" she asked, smiling. "I'm just looking around, you know? I'm great as well. How are you?" GRINGRINGRIN.

Ugh. WOW. WOOOOOW. Remind Toby to never even try and go for a walk again. He'd gotten no further than the Entrance Hall before feeling MUCH TOO TIRED to go any further. So THEN the Hufflepuff has turned back to return to the common room............ and now he was lost. LOST.

The not-so-ickle badger had been going up and down and all around this corridor for at LEAST an hour, and could he remember the way? No he could not.

But still... he was persevering.

So it had taken her ages to remember what she was meant to do after she cooked the batch of deliciously moist chocolate chip cookies. Something for her Charms homework only she couldn't recall the exact spell she was supposed to use or what she was supposed to do with them once they were charmed. Eventually she sorted it out, realizing that thinking up a daydream and charming a cookie for consumption was her task. She'd even been able to think of the incantation after pacing back and forth in front of the elves for a good five minutes. Sentio Somnium. She knew it now, at least.

And right before she left the kitchen, Ella had pointed her wand at the largest cookie sitting on the top of her cookie pile and circled it with her wand while saying, "Sentio Somnium!" The daydream she'd thought up was clear in her mind. A park, the one by her house. Her Grandfather was there playing chess and the sun was shining brightly, not a cloud in the sky. Birds could be heard singing from their place in a tree by the swingset. Yup, it was perfect.

...Now to see if it worked.

The Head Girl left the kitchen in search of a friend and her common room, hoping she'd bump into someone soon so she could take a nap. Baking was extremely tiring, y'know? And as she walked down the corridor, she spotted a very confused looking Tobias. ...Toby liked cookies, yes?

Grin!

"Ahoy, there!"

Was it... left turn here? Something about taking a left turn here seemed important, but Toby couldn't remember if it was because that was the direction he needed to go, or if he'd already gone that way several times. Anything was possible.

He was just trying to work it out when he caught sight of Ella. Ahh, friend! Tobias decided to temporarily abandon his quest and offered the Head Girl a wave.

"Hi Ella!" he croaked said in reply, taking a step or two closer and closing the gab between them. "Where're you headed?" Common room? Maybe?

....................... did he smell COOKIES? His sight, hearing and memory were making a fool of him, but Tobias trusted his sense of smell to let him know when COOKIES were nearby.

What's the matter, Toby? Frog got your throat? Ella glanced at the young whippersnapper younger badger curiously, a small smile playing on her lips. Nice of him to come to her too, y'know? Meant she could stop walking and catch her breath. Merlin, she felt out of shape. "Hey, Toby! I'm... ..." Where was she headed? "Common room, I think?" Maybe. Was that where she was going? "Yes, that. I wanted to find some people to share these with." And the Head Girl displayed the plate of cookies with a proud smile. And she was meant to do something with these cooki-OH! Cookies! Tobias could try her cookies! Or her special cookie, rather. YES! "Where were you headed?" And was he hungry? Maybe he was going to the kitchen or something.

"You should have one! I um..I got a bit generous with the dough on this particular one so it's extra big." And didn't it look gooood, Tobias? "You can have it." Go on, eat the big one. Please?

Oh GOOD. So Ella was going that way too. Tobias clasped his hands together in satisfaction (which was perhaps one of the weirdest things he'd ever done and only really something he'd seen OLD people do... so he hurriedly UNclasped them). "Common room also," he replied, nodding his head, and... staaaaaaaaaaaring at the cookies. They looked good, and Tobias really appreciated food. It was all he could do not to lick his lips at the mere sight of them.

But OH OH OH she was OFFERING. Ella was perfect, okay? Actual perfection. And that was BEFORE she offered the cookies, so now she was like... super perfect, y'know?

"I can?" he replied, looking at her with his big poorly sighted blue eyes. But he didn't wait for further invitation, and instead picked up the cookie and took a large bite. "Thanks!" he said once he'd got through his first mouthful. "It tastes really-"

But then he blinked, and the scene changed. To an outsider, Tobias looked confused and surprised, but very much in that same corridor. But his own perspective was very different. The boy blinked again, and squinted at his very new surroundings...

"Course you can!" Was he giving her puppy-dog eyes? Not necessary, little old badger! Ella's green near-sighted eyes widened as well and she smiled at him as he took a bite. The kind of smile that was best suited for an accomplishment and boy did she feel accomplished and guilty. She'd gotten Toby to eat her charmed cookie and now all she had to do is wait.

It tasted...awesome, yeah? But that wasn't really a question as Ella was a particularly good baker. All the stress-baking she'd been doing since the grey hairs started popping up was definitely paying off.

Instead Ella focused on the way the boy's face had changed. He was clearly somewhere else and she watched him intently, hoping that he wasn't completely bothered. He was okay, right? RIGHT?

It was, bright. Really sunny, and very different from the corridor he'd just been in. It took a few moments for Tobias to understand what was going on, but he soon remembered the Charms lesson. Sneaky Ella, sneaky sneaky. But she wasn't here right now. She wasn't in this park with him.

Glancing up at the sky, Tobias noticed how awesomely blue it was, and the sun shining brightly made him shield his eyes with his hand for a moment. When he looked around he noticed he was in a park, a muggle park, with a SWINGSET. It looked like brilliant fun, and Tobias made for it (parks could be just as fun for teenagers as they could for little kids, thank you very much). He'd gone about a dozen or so steps before catching sight of the old man sitting nearby. Tobias halted, wondering if he should go over.

He considered this for a good few minutes, before deciding against it. For reasons, instead, Tobias actually sat himself down, right where he was, in the grass. He picked a few blades and rolled them between his fingers, before laying down and soaking in the rays of the sun, quite forgetting himself and where he actually was and how this wasn't real. Nope. Just gonna soak up some rays, ah yis.
