Altair felt a little lost. It seemed like everywhere he went he was getting more and more confused. Wasn't there a map or something that could show him which way to go? After passing a swamp ("What the?" he exclaimed), he turned the corner down a dusty corridor. "This doesn't look familiar at all," he said in frustration. He looked back the way he came, he certainly didn't want to deal with the swamp again. Maybe if he just continued forward he's recognize something or run into someone that could help him out.

Tora was coming back from a day of classes, already bemoaning the hike she would have to make to reach Ravenclaw Tower and the door knocker that awaited her there. She was just starting into the First Floor Hallway when she chanced upon someone who looked just a bit flustered. And young. Flustered + young = definitely a first year. Maybe she wouldn't have to climb all the way up the steps yet. She could distract herself by talking to this kid.

"Hey, you're lost," she stated, coming up behind him while being careful to skirt the swamp in the corridor. "Where are you trying to get to? Hufflepuff common room?" she asked noticing the colour of his robes. Anything else she should know about this first year? Oh yeah- "I'm Tora Gallaway, what's your name?" she added turning towards the distraught badger.

After a nice day of classes, Dylan made his way along the first floor corridor. It had been a pretty easy day for him, surprisingly. The school year had started out really nicely and he was quite enjoying it. Taking a break and leaning against the wall, he dug through his bag to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything since today he had been in a sort of rush.

Noticing that he couldn't find his extra parchment or quills, his eyes widened and he dug deeper, causing the bag to accidentally slide off his shoulder and onto the ground. The second year frowned and glanced around quickly, hoping no one had noticed this. Seeing that no one around, he bent down and began putting his books and such back into his bag. "I wonder where I left that bloody parchment and my quills..." he thought to himself as he cleaned up.

"U-um I think you might have forgotten these in the D.A.D.A classroom"said Mizu looking up at boy.In his Hands he held parchment and quills he found on the boys desk,but he had been too late to yell for the boy he had already left the classroom.

Lux was walking down the corridor when she came across two boys who seemed to be about her age. Noticing that one of them seemed to have dropped things out of his bag, she started to help him clean up. It was not nice being stuck with a spilled bag, she knew from experience.

"Hello, I'm Lux!" she said to them both as she helped the one boy.

Seeing a girl had joined them Mizu introduced himself."H-hi i'm Mizu"
He felt he had to at least try to make a couple friends hey they might even help with his self esteem issues.
"And your name is?" mizu asked the boy in front of him.

Oh look, a friendly face. At least, that was the first impression Altair got. He sighed in relief that someone actually showed up. "Uh, y-yes," he answered a little off guard that she knew exactly what he was looking for. Was she some kind of mind reader? Were there people like that in this school? Could she be listening to what I'm saying right now, he thought as a quizzical look stretched across his face. I'm Altair, he thought again wondering if she really could hear him, but it didn't appear so.

"I'm Altair," he said with a smile, "Altair Merrit to be exact." Immediately his nerves began to calm. He didn't like not knowing where he was at. "I think I got turned around. I was trying to get back to my common room, but the swamp back there kind of threw me off." He took in a deep breath, trying not to relive the experience.

As Dylan had just about finished up cleaning, he heard a voice above him telling him he had left his parchment and quills in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. Looking up at the younger boy, he smiled, relief sweeping over him. He was happy he didn't have to go to each of his classes searching for them. Standing to his feet, he took them and put them into his bag. "Thank you so much! You are a life saver!" he said as he closed his bag up. "I'm Dylan, by the way." he added, sticking his hand out towards the boy.

Realizing he hadn't quite finished cleaning his stuff, he bent back down and began to scoop them back into his bag. Suddenly, a girl who looked his age came and helped him. He glanced up at her and smiled. "Thank you so much," he told her as he put the last book back in his bag. When they had finished, the second year rose to his feet once more. "It's lovely to meet you, Lux! I'm Dylan." he replied back, beaming, even though a bit of embarassment sank inside him at the fact that two people had seen him drop and forget his things.

"I know how you feel right know" said Mizu."You know the i totally just messed up and people saw me feeling isnt cool is it?"
" That happened to me in transfigurations class, long story short my rope attacked me and wrapped me up sending me to the floor."

Lux smiled at the boy as she helped him with the last bit of his stuff that had fallen from his bag. He seemed really nice. "You are very welcome." Getting back to her feet, she straightened out her clothes as they had gotten a little crinkled. "Nice to meet you Dylan and Mizu." She was so happy that she had found more students who seemed to be about her age.

Dylan smiled weakly at the boy and gave a sad nod. He wasn't too embarrassed anymore though, since these two were nice and weren't laughing at him about it all. He then raised an eyebrow at what the boy next told him. That was awful! Poor boy. "Really? I'm sorry about that." he told him with a frown. "Are you okay now...?" he asked, looking at him worriedly.

Dylan smiled at the girl. She was really nice to help him out with his stuff. Now that he looked at her, he recognized her from seeing her around the school and the Hufflepuff common room. It was nice to be meeting a fellow Badger. "What year are you in?" he asked her as he adjusted his bag on his shoulder and leaned against the wall.

Mizu let a small smile creep across his face.
"I'm fine,all i did was hit my head pretty hard." Mizu said pointing to the bump on the upper left side of his head."But some really nice people helped me out of it and took me to the hospital wing."

This boy seemed so nice! And he was a Hufflepuff, which made things cooler, because it meant that he was in her House. She had met yet another Hufflepuff just now! "I'm a Second Year. What Year are you in?" She hoped he was a Second Year too, because he looked like he was the same age as her.

Tora was in an excellent mood; good enough to help this firstie out it seemed. She gave an encouraging smile. "Nice to meet you, and yeah the swamp can be disorienting. Nothing like the stairs though," she said with a grin. "You've probably figured that out by now," she continued starting to walk the other direction down the hallway... towards the Hufflepuff common room.

"Common Merrit, you were going the wrong way!" she didn't really check to see if he followed, just sort of assumed that he would. If he didn't then it was his loss for not taking someone else's help.

She was chuckling to herself when she turned her back on the firstie puffer. She vaguely remembered a time when she would get lost going from the Ravenclaw common room to the stairs. It was funny to see the younger students struggle with their mental maps of the castle. Was that bad? That she enjoyed that? Maybe it was, but it was also a learning experience and something exciting too. Who didn't want to get lost in an awesome castle? Exploring was fun!

Dylan winced when Mizu said he hit his head hard. That sounded really painful. "Well, I'm happy to hear you're okay now." he said with a small smile, nodding his head. "And wow that was really nice of them!" he added with raised eyebrows. They did have such nice people at this school, really. Now that he thought about it, he hadn't actually met anyone who wasn't nice here at Hogwarts.

She was a second year too, then? He smiled widely at this. "I'm a second year as well!" he told her. How awesome was this?! Meeting a fellow second year badger. And he had a good feeling they were going to become good friends. "So, what brings you down here?" he asked as he glanced around themselves.

Oh, wow. Another Second Year! Maybe he would be a lot of fun to hang out with, especially since they were in the same House and would probably be seeing a lot of each other. "That is so cool, I bet we will see each other a lot while we are at school!" And he seemed really nice too. "I was just wandering around, not really having much to do. Would you like to get something to eat maybe?" Suddenly she was feeling hungry, and maybe he would like to get some food with her soon, after he was done conversing with the other boy.

"Thanks,but i'm used to it." said Mizu.
"Normally I just trip over air or drop something, but this time it got a little out of control." Noticing the HufflePuff colors on Dylan, Mizu got excited.
"I'm guessing by your uniform your a Hufflepuff as well?" Mizu asked."I'm in it as well, but it is my first year here."

Dylan nodded in agreement. "I'm sure we definitely will," he told her, "Which I would really enjoy!" he added with a friendly smile. It was true. Lux just seemed so open and friendly, just like Dylan, so they'd make great friends. He then grinned when she mentioned getting something to eat. Now he knew they'd be very good friends for sure. Dylan loved food. Hehe. It was surprising how he could stay in the shape he was when he ate so much.

"I would love to! Shall we go to the kitchens?" he suggested with another smile. He was actually really in the mood for ice cream at the moment, hopefully she felt the same way.

Used to it?

Dylan frowned, biting his lip at the thought of what that could possibly mean. He suddenly felt bad and wanted to ask the boy about it, but since they had only just met, he thought he shouldn't. He didn't want to make the boy uncomfortable or anything. Relief swept over him when the boy changed the subject to Dylan's robes. Glancing down at his own, he looked back up at the younger boy and nodded. "Yup! And that's really cool! How do you like it so far?" he asked, cocking his head slightly as he looked at the Hufflepuff with curiosity.

"Its great!"Exclaimed Mizu." The people here are so nice and welcoming that it almost feels like a second home."

WHOOO! Making new friends was awesome!

"I will make sure of it!" She knew where his Common Room was, because it was also hers. She wouldn't let him avoid her even if he wanted to which she was sure he didn't since he seemed nice. The mention of going to the kitchens was lovely, and her stomach grumbled a little at the thought of the yummy cucumber sandwiches. But suddenly she remembered something...

"I need to owl home first! Do you mind coming with me?" It was okay if he said no and met her after, but she had just realized that she still needed to ask her parents if she could spend some of her Christmas holidays at Sander's house.

This little Tobes was chillin'.

Okay, not really. Tobias was on his way UP through the castle, about to go and see which of his favourite professors were in their offices and fancied a chat. He'd only reached the first floor, however, when the searing pain in his knees were making him wonder why he'd ever made such a decision.

The usually hyperactive and bouncy boy STOPPED halfway along the corridor, right by a window, just to take a short break. He tapped his fingers on the windowsill he stood be and gazed out, wondering if maybe he should just give up and go back to his common room. That was enough exercise for one day, surely.

It seemed like everyone with whom she usually worked on assignments wasn't around, so Alice had gone searching. There had to be someone who was willing to be a target, yeah? She'd gotten all the way down to the first floor without stumbling upon a decent subject for her fire breathing skills when she finally spotted someone NICE out of her eye.

That one boy. Little one from the train with the pogo stick and the cat... T... T... dammit. Surely it started with a T.

"Hey.... T... Troy?" Was that it? Please let that be it. "Can I breathe on you?"

Without waiting for an answer, she slipped a vial she'd taken from class out of her sleeve and poured the contents into her mouth. Cool. Thanks, kid.

Toby looked around at the sound of a voice. Just out of habit, even though that wasn't his name. And it turned out to be a GOOD thing that he'd looked around, because... that was the Gryffindor captain. Addressing him.

Troy.

He could be a Troy.

"I..." Toby!Troy began, looking completely nonplussed for a moment. And then he realised what the girl (Alice... he knew because Quidditch obsession and all) was doing. She had some of that potion. The tickly one. "..................................... okay."

Of COURSE he'd say okay, even though Toby!Troy was pretty sure that dang potion had made him laugh so hard he'd pulled something when Sophie breathed flames over him. But since when was he ever able to say no?

Giving one nod, Tobias turned away from the window to face Alice properly, and spread his feet a little and held his arms out wide.

"Bring it on."

So it WAS Troy. Merlin. Her memory was brilliant. Normally Alice would have thanked him for being so willing, especially after seeing the unsure reaction crossing his face, but it was rather hard with the potion in her mouth. Instead, she gave him a thumbs up and ended up making a moue upon suddenly realizing there was flobberworm mucus on her tongue. Ew.

Oh, well. Do what you gotta do, Fischer.

Opening her mouth, her breath first came out in furls of smoke before her throat began emitting fire. It was beautiful in a creepy kind of way to see the flames curl out from under her nose and engulf the little puffer kid, almost terrifying at the same time. And it still felt like she'd brewed a true miracle when she finally ran out of potion with which to spew at him and Troy remained unharmed.

Also, it was nice to finally have that mucus gone.

Was he okay?
