Because nobody else was inside the Prefects' Compartment except her, Kat made her way to the Food Trolley. She needed a few treats to keep her well while on the train ride to Hogwarts, which would mark the first day of her final term. Who didn't want food anyway? This place also brought about some memories to Kat. Like last term when they were taking the train ride home? She had danced the chicken dance in here and invited some others to a MOB chicken dance. Which they participated it, which was awesome. At least she wasn't humiliated.

Beatrice Evangeline Castell was responsible for that dare, just saying.

So uhmm... UHM. Cauldron cakes. Yes. Kat loved those, did they know? Whenever she came over to the food trolley, that would be the first treat she would take and pay for. They were heaven's equivalent on Earth, and your arguments are invalid. Mhm.

Having left Forrest just momentarily to find snacks, she didn't want to linger too long. What if he started worrying about where she gone or if she'd gotten lost? If it was anyone else, she wouldn't care, but it was Forrest - her best friend - so she did care. That was the rules of friendship, right? To care.

I SMELL NOMMYNESS.

After her nose came to life, it didn't take her very long to find the trolley. Though, there appeared to be an older girl already by it. An older girl WEARING A BADGE. Without hesitation, Bristol tapped the girl's arm gently and proceeded to say a bunch of words. "Hellooooo, you're the Head Girl, aren't you?" GRIN. "Congrats and stuffs. I was wondering .. do you have any suggestions of what nice things to buy at this trolley?" Not that she became Head Girl because of her eating powers, but still ..

After taking a few more cauldron cakes (she needed some back-up food in case the feast had awful food like last term), Kat had took two licorice wands and paid for them, even sending a smile to the snack lady. She then stuffed them all inside her sling bag, which still had the Undetectable Extension Charm she learned from Professor Bellaire a few terms ago. When she was supposed to make her way back to the Prefects' Compartment, a stranger-girl had tapped her arm.

She was a cutie, like the kid named Lucian who Kat had met during the Diagon Alley Summer Festival, but she was a bit chatty. "Hello there... and thank you," Kat nodded and smiled at the younger one. Probably a first year? And the food. "My personal favourite is the cauldron cakes but everything tastes great, just so you know." In short, maybe she should take a little bit of everything. Or not. Kat was going to stay loyal to cauldron cakes. Pretend she didn't buy any licorice wands.

Just as what she was before on her first year at Hogwarts, Bef had realized that she needs to be more active and mingle with other students this school year.

She thought of getting some treats for herself while on the train. She hurriedly headed to the food trolley and asked for some licorice wands. And took some of cauldron cakes. She really can't get enough of those sweets as she having a great sweet tooth.

She went back to her seat and ate the treats she bought while staring out the window.

She was definitely a nice person Head Girl, rather than a strict meanie, that was good. It wouldn't have been as good of an idea if this girl had been strict. "You're welcome," Bristol said with a grin. "Cauldron cakes? I don't think I've ever had them," she admitted. Her mother had never she let her had sugary things as a kid, because apparently she was energetic enough. That she couldn't argue.

"I'm Bristol, by the way. What's your name?" She asked as she looked over all of the yummy looking things.

So many there were.

So who cared Forrest already had six different types of junk food poking out of his pockets? So who cared whether he might fall ill if he ate all of them at once? SO WHO CARED if he looked greedy? He was still going for MORE sweets, and so he stood in front of the trolley--more like blocking its way bandits used to do in cowboy movies--and approached it like a predator circled its prey.

WHICH chocolate to buy, WHICH sweet to eat?

Adelaide wandered out of the compartment, after making sure Oreo was completely stuck in his cage. She didn't need him trying to escape if someone left the door open. She just needed to get up and move around for a bit. Plus she'd heard about the sweets trolley on the train and who was she to say no to sweets?

She quickly found the food trolley and eyed everything on the cart. It all looked so delicious. But she really didn't know what to get, only having wizarding sweets a few times in her life. And only ever chocolate frogs or sugar quills. Maybe she should try something new...

After the lazy pigeon Terrant fell asleep, Angeal left his compartment following the food trolley that just passed the compartment. It was too early for his lunch, so he wanted to have something for snack. Dark eyes scanning trolley to recognise only the Chocolate Frogs and Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, both which Eric had brought home once when he was in school. Angeal was rather fond of the Chocolate Frogs, having collected a few of the cards himself. He had one of Harry Potter, a couple of Ron Weasleys and a few other witches and wizards. As for the Every Flavour Beans, however, he had a hate at first taste relationship with them. He was unfortunate enough to come across a rotten egg flavour on his first try. This time, Angeal would like to try something different. It can't be helped that he was raised in a muggle environment even though his whole family was magical. So, he decided to ask someone for suggestion.

"Excuse me," he said softly, looking up as he pulled the dress of an older, red haired girl gently to get her attention. "Could you tell me which of these are nice?" at the mention of 'these', he glanced at the food trolley.

Boarding the train had been fun. Watching it leave the platform had been awesome. The five minutes of staring out the windows as they sped out of the city and into the countryside had been absolutely fascinating, but now Benzi was officially bored again.

Mummy had never mentioned how BORING a train ride was. Why couldn't they all just app- plap- er, papparate there?!

Hands stuffed in his pockets, the eleven year old wandered aimlessly down the corridor, staring into compartments when he suddenly realised what everyone had in common - sugar.

THAT MEANT THERE HAD TO BE A PLACE TO BUY SWEETS.

Eyes wide, Benzi quickly found a couple of sickles in his pocket and raced down the train, ALMOST but not quite running into someone standing in front of-

"WHOOAAAAAA." Benzi's mouth fell open as he stared at the MOUNTAIN of sugar on display. "BEST. TRAIN. EVERRRRRR!!" he exclaimed, standing on his tippy-toes to try and see over the boy who was standing in his way, his mouth right by the guy's ear.

Then there was something intruding his prey-predator act.

And that something yelled RIGHT into his EAR. Forrest jumped slightly backwards, touched it and stomped on a part of it. He almost lost his balance but didn't fall. Good thing the trolley was there to hold onto. He turned to glare, but found himself staring at a boy around his age.

Wellll... that didn't make glaring easy. Especially now that he was aware he'd stepped on his foot.

He was STILL annoyed with him however, so he wasn't going to apologise anytime soon. Yeah. The boy had to apologise first. Who creeped up on busy people like that anyway?

Anyways. SWEETS. He didn't realise his muggle jelly slugs had fallen off his pocket in the commotion, and just closed the short space between him and the trolley. The woman was getting impatient either, because they were blocking her way. He didn't even bother to address the boy, and just went on examining the contents of the trolley. He was somewhat accustomed to wizard sweets, but he wasn't that pro to pick one quickly. He eyed the boy. He was inclined to forgive him if he decided to help.

Maybe.

SO. MUCH. CANDY.

Where was he even going to START?! They had everything he could ever want, and MORE. Mummy NEVER EVER EVER let him have all this stuff and she wasn't here so he could ea-

"EEEAAAARRGGHH!" Benzi YELPED as something HEAVY landing on his foot and jumped out of the way, colliding headfirst with the glass of a compartment door. Blinking rapidly, he tried to get rid of the sudden stars in his vision only to see that the THING had actually been the BOY.

WELL. That wasn't very nice, was it?! Benzi glared DAGGERS at him, folding his arms crossly over his chest, matching the boy in a glorious staring contest until the boy turned to the trolley lady - SUCCESS - and then to the sweets.

Hmm. Benzi couldn't really stay mad at people who liked sugar as much as he did. Actually, Benzi found it difficult to stay mad in general so as his head stopped throbbing, so did his annoyance melt away. By the time the boy turned back to him, the eleven year old was all about the sweets at hand.

But he couldn't just FORGIVE the boy. So Benzi decided to test him.

"Bertie Botts - love it or hate it?"

Forrest reached a few centimetres in his way to help him--he'd heard the noise of collision there--but he stopped himself before the boy could notice. It was solely HIS fault that he'd hit his head. Forrest refused to help him. Picking the correct sweet was more important than someone who creeped up on people.

Hmpf.

So he'd lost the staring contest, but he didn't help him either. Choosing was hard though, because every sweet there was a miracle and he had limited money. Although he'd hate it, he might need his help--and the boy was soon directing a question to him.

"Love it," he answered without even thinking, as if he was offended by the question. "You?" The boy'd beaten him to asking something wise to judge the other, but Forrest could still win it.

Benzi's eyes narrowed and he stuck his chin out as he studied him, taking his own sweet time to answer. That was, of course, the very CORRECT answer to his question but he would make the boy wait for HIS answer because he'd been first and he won. The waiting was just the common way of expressing his victory.

"Best sweet out there," he said solemnly, his expression utterly serious. Sweets were no laughing matter - others' preferences could really say a lot about them. Benzi had already judged quite a few people out there based ONLY on their choice of candy at the store. Even muggle candy.

His eyes averted to the trolley again, seemingly unable to look away from the glory of it for too long. "So what're you getting?" he asked, not sparing the boy a glance as he continued to stare. It was so completely wonderful and PERFECT.

Well. Well? Was the boy answer anytime soon? Forrest never won these staring contests, so he just diverted his gaze away to the trolley. He tried to keep his hostile-and-ready-to-fight stature, but he wasn't that type of boy and he couldn't. Instead, he looked somewhat uncomfortable by being examined, and picked a few sweets only to throw them back.

Finally, the boy was so kind as to answer and Forrest nodded solemnly back. Well, at least they had something in common. It was easier to forgive him now.

"Bertie Botts," he said, stating the obvious. The boy DID help him. Hmm... more steps towards being forgiven. "And cauldron cakes. You?"

Now that the conversation had finally landed on the topic of candy, Benzi found it in himself to stop judging the boy and instead began seriously weighing his options on the trolley. There were just so MANY. It was making his head spin slightly.

"Definitely Bertie Botts," he nodded, then scratched his chin thoughtfully. "Drooble's, some liquorice wands, fizzing whizbees... Um, I don't really like pumpkin pasties. Say, you wanna share some cauldron cakes and I'll get something you like too?" he asked, turning to properly look at the boy with his eyebrows raised. Benzi wanted to stock up for the entire ride, but he definitely wouldn't mind eating some now with this kid.

Kids. Kat didn't know why she grew up hating them, but was still at least 10% fond of them. Ugh. What had her sister, Dianna, done to her? Influencing her mind with all those kid stuff ever since Kat's nephew, Gale, was born. Guess they weren't all that bad. "I suggest you have some. They're a 'must-try'." Because they were Kat's favourites. So everyone should definitely get a bite of it. Yep. Never miss out on the good food.

Bristol, eh. "Like the city," Kat said. It was just an observation you know. Besides, it was a fact. "I'm Katrina. Kat for short."

Forrest eyed the trolley along. He'd got to know only these two sweets so far. He hadn't been much fan of sweets until recently--since his mother had never let him eat them--and he was shocked by the names the boy counted. He had heard them, but he had just never tasted them. He wondered briefly whether the boy wouldn't just share one but actually let him try a piece from each. He tried his best not to show his ignorancy, but it was hard not to be overwhelmed either.

"Okay," he said, after he pretended to be considering his offer. "I can buy something else too, so we have one from every sweet and try them all together, maybe?" He wasn't going to reveal he also had bought some muggle sweets. This was his testing the boy to see just how good he was.

Adelaide was so busy eyeing the sweets and staying out of everyone else's way that she didn't notice that there was someone standing next to her. The height difference between them probably didn't help too much either.

She turned as she heard a voice and looked down as she felt the little boy tugging. Man. She was a firstie magnet, but she didn't mind. She always wanted younger siblings. "I'm trying to figure that out myself. I've only ever had Chocolate Frogs and sugar quills. I lived surrounded by muggles until now." She really wished she could be more helpful with all of these younger students coming up to her. "We could figure it out together if you want?" That was a good compromise right?

Okay, so Schuyler had already gotten some muggle gummy worms back before she boarded the Hogwarts Express, but now that she had the opportunity to buy normal, wizarding candies, she believed that she ought to pick some of these up for later. After all, she did always enjoy an after-dinner sweet of some sort. The fifteen-year-old made her way through the train corridor until she reached the food trolley. There was a bit of a line, but Schuyler was in no rush. So, she slipped her hands in her pockets and leaned against a nearby compartment panel.

Taylor wandered down to the food trolley and messed with the coins in her purse. She wanted to get some sweets so here she was. Tay glanced around the trolley and debated what to get. Soon, her mind started to wander about other things and so she just stood there, out of line, thinking. The noise on the train soon vanished and she was emerged into her thoughts completely.

She had wasted too much effort updating the new girl on the school's past events. Actually, not really wasted, she kinda enjoyed it. Because it involved talking and that was her hobby. She was so good at it. Been doing it for long actually. Still, she felt like she could use chocolate frog or two. Licorice wand as well. And water. Definitely water. Cassia thought of journeying to the luggage compartment since she had all that stashed in her trunk but she didn't want to see or hear her evil owl. She still was hoping someone would steal it? Or it would just die already? It's been living for long.

All that thought, the snake marched up to the food trolley. Oh, look! There were people here, too. Not that she thought she was the only one on the train.

"Have you been standing here for long?" She asked the last girl on line. Who seemed to be pretty comfy standing there. "I mean is the line moving too slowly?" Did she understand her question. Just in case she did not. "Because if it's slow I'll just go to my trunk," Like the other girl really cared. "And hi!" She somehow always remembered manners.

After getting situated, there wasn't anything left but to ride with the other Prefects.. erm, after getting some goodies. Wade's change jingled in his pocket while he felt to estimate on just how much he could get. Good enough..

Walking towards the line, he recognized one of the standers. Grinning, he walked up behind Tay before *PURRRRRR*ing, just as quickly he held his hands behind his back trying to look innocent. "Hello again, Tay." Tilting his head, "You doing okay?" Since she was giving off vibes on her mind being elsewhere. Looking towards the tray, "So what do you usually get off of these? I always get Bertie Bott's beans and chocolates."

Mentally, Schuyler was making a short list of what she would buy. This list included chocolate frogs, fizzing whizbees, jelly slugs, and Bertie Bott's every flavor beans. Yes, that would suffice. She felt a presence behind her, another person in line, though she didn't turn around until the person spoke to her. Or, she assumed she was speaking to her.

Yes. She was.

"I haven't been here long, but I think the line should move fairly quickly," Schuyler answered, glancing up at the lady who was selling the treats. Trolley Lady looked like she meant business. Her eyes returned to the new girl behind her, and Schuyler smiled at her exuberant 'hi!'. "Hey." Might as well make another Hogwarts acquaintance while she was at it, right? "I'm Schuyler Emmons, new to Hogwarts and England and all that." As evidenced by her American accent.

Taylor blinked and looked around, coming out of her thoughts as she heard a purr. She searched for a cat but wound up seeing Wade. A huge smile came and she threw her arms around her friend. Tay hugged him then backed away again, "Wade! Woof! Woof! Woof!? She giggled and smiled at him, "Hey, there." She nodded, "Yeah, I am totally fine and you?" She smiled and twirled in delight at seeing her friend. Taylor giggled and shrugged, "I actually usually get the same things." Tay beamed and glanced at the trolley and then back at Wade, "Congrats on the head boy thing... how is the prefect compartment?" She giggled and smiled, "Will I get to see you sometime this term or are ya gonna be too busy for a Ravenclaw friend?"
