Was that because of the "Groundskeepers at Hogwarts are cursed" thing that was featured in the article or just being nice? "Thank you Miss Wisteria, i will do my best" Did he believe in the so-called curse? no..no he did not.

He turned around to walk up to his front door and took out his wand, he waved it so that the spells that locked his hut unlocked itself and he turned back around. "I was just about to make some tea, do you want some as well?" he asked.

Of course he was. She already knew that, but thanks for clarifying, though. Really nice of you, Mr. Groundskeeper. So, no pauses when talking to him, then? Got it. That eyebrow raise said it all. She was kind of glad she didn't lie about her name, he seemed like the nice kind of guy. You know, the ones who usually die? Yeah, those. Pity if he does. Let's hope not.

She BEAMED at the 'nice meeting you' thing. Was it really nice to meet her? He shouldn't speak so soon. "Same, actually." Let's try being nice for once, shall we?

A sigh came when he said the man's name, and the sad expression was back, "It was so horrible, it was the worst thing I've ever witnessed." This faking sadness business was tough. She wouldn't fake tears, no. And technically she was feeling a bit sad for the man, because that was an awful fate, but he had stolen her pygmy puff, soooo....

Her uncle wrote the article, so she knew a thing or two, but she didn't believe in curses like this one.

"I definitely hope so. You seem nice. Mr. Firth was also nice." Cue sad face again.

YES! That's what she wanted! Tea! It was just so perfect! So she nodded and smiled at Mr. Cantwell. Cantwell, was it? "Do you have raspberry tea, by any chance?" she asked, waiting juuuust by the door, and then she shrugged, "I'll take any, really. Thank you." Those were the last words she uttered before stepping inside and took great care in noticing the inside of the hut. No sneakoscopes in sight. OOOH. A FLOWER?

Lottie took a seat and touched its petals as careful as ever. She was rather tender when it came to plants. It came with the name.

She had witnessed what happened to Mr.Firth? Now this was interesting and bad at the same time. On one hand, Nick would love to hear what had happened precisely. But on the other hand he did not want to scar the Hufflepuff by reliving the memory again because it seemed that she was really sad about what had happened. He figured he would hear the whole story some day. Or if she wanted to tell the story now he was totally cool with that.

Walking to the back of the room, Nick opened the cabinet and took out two cups before placing them on the wooden table. "I think i have..." the Groundskeeper muttered as he moved back to the cabinet and opened a drawer. He took out a box with different kinds of flavored teas and took out the one that she wanted. He grabbed an strawberry flavor for himself. "Here you go" he said as he handed the bag of tea over. With a wave of the wand, there was hot water in the cups and Nick sat down on one of the chairs.

He was nice? HEH... tell that to your Astronomy Professor, kid and he'll tell you otherwise. Then again he had changed over the years. Maturing is what its called and he no longer was the arrogant jock that he had been during his school years. And speaking of NERD!Flamsteed , he still had to set his revenge plan in motion. HEH...yeah, he was a really nice guy~

Dipping the tea bag in his cup of water, the man looked at the girl as she touched the petals of the flower he had on the table. Nick wasn't the flower type of person. But his mother had once told him, meaning each time she opened her mouth, that a home was not complete without some flowers or plants in it. Guess his mother's voice even echoed around here. And this was actually the first time he had seen someone touching the petals with so much care... "So, are you enjoying your first day at school again?" mweh, he had to ask something right?

She was mostly excited about Astronomy lessons, that was all. Also, was his tea strawberry flavored? Was he like Airey?

Which reminded him, he had not even asked if she wanted some sugar in the tea or not. Well, she had a mouth right plus she could talk so if the Hufflepuff wanted some all she had to do was ask right?

Also, since we were meeting Lex later on and she'll have lots of sugary treats, we're skipping sugar this time. It wasn't unusual for Lottie to do this. Something must have stuck with her after ALL of Oakey's fights against unhealthy treats and whatnot. That was nice, actually.

So, there was more waiting for the tea to be drinkable and... hey, he's not much of a talker, is he? That meant he was thinking, hopefully, and if he was thinking... then he was one they needed to be wary of. But he reacted well to sad faces and big smiles, so... he wouldn't be a problem.

Yes, Mr. Groundskeeper, we're studying you. And will not make assumptions, but still. Studying.

OH! Gryffindor! SHE LOVES GRYFFINDORS! You know, Queen Alice, Lex, Tag, Airey, awesome people. Penelope was cool, too, and Anya and Jake. And that's pretty much it. Nick thought for a moment, his hand scratching his beard as he looked in front of him. What to say, he couldn't exactly tell the truth right? Because then he would be saying something bad about a colleague and the Groundskeeper liked to keep his job for now , thank you very much. un cursed and all

"He was..." he began... geez this was hard. Okay, just friendly words but not too friendly , Nick. "Okay" ..........If he could he would have stared at himself for giving such an answer. So he sighed and after a sip the tea he continued. "We never were best friends, actually we kind of avoided each other" Mainly because Nick was awesome and Airey together with Tibby were not. "But i can say he was a intelligent man" NERD! "but also couldn't keep quiet or sit still , overly excited about the most random things" To the point that the man, a kid back then had gotten himself expelled once.

"How are his classes? are they any good?" and he wanted an honest answer because he still couldn't believe the man became a professor.....plus he needed information.

Completely forgetting that Miss Wisteria was in the hut as well, the Groundskeeper grinned at his own thoughts and it was only when she spoke when he realized he wasn't alone. Eeeeeh....awkwaaaard!

"Well, i'm glad you have at least one lesson you look forward to" He knew what it was like being a student and he hadn't liked every subject either. And then he laughed. As much as he didn't liked Space Man , he had to agree with him about the hug issue though. She asked oh-so-casually, that it sounded as if she was discussing Quidditch tryouts or next lesson plans, "I only ask because we saw a unicorn and a thestral with Mr. Firth once during my second year." Well, she didn't see the thestral, Lex did.

"No i wasn't really fond of flying and i'm still not" Even at school he had been horrible at the subject and he liked to keep his feet on the ground. "Not that i disliked Quidditch i'd just rather watch and support the team" he answered and drank up the last bit of the tea. "My best subject had been Care of Magical Creatures as well as Transfiguration"

Her rather casual question about a tour in the forbidden forest had caught him off guard for a split second. The way she asked it was like talking about the weather and he was sure that if he hadn't been a thinker he would have agreed with it right away.

"Guided tours in the forbidden forest hmm?" he mumbled , more to himself and leaned back in the chair, scratching his beard. He WAS a Gryffindor and the idea of an little adventure sounded great. But he also had responsibilies now so he was torn between saying yes or no....a maybe? "Well, i'm not saying yes but i do have to admit i'm interested" and that was the truth. He wasn't going deeper in to this part of the conversation. He didn't want to accidentally agree to something. Besides, he first needed permission from the Headmistress anyways.

Mainly because of Transfiguration, she quite likes that one. "I see." Wow, that was all she said. But she also drank her tea. "I like Transfiguration, too."

See? He didn't expect that. But he was slooooowly considering it from what Lottie could see. That was good enough for her. He didn't dismiss it the second it was brought up. "Why, of course, it's such an interesting place." And a very interesting idea. She wouldn't get her hopes up, though. Don't worry about it, Mr. Groundskeeper.

"Well, I suppose I ought to get going," she said, standing up, she was all done with her tea and she really needed to find Lex, so, we're going now. "It was really nice to meet you, though." Cue sweet smile.
