| | |  Gobstones Match: Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the icy, winter air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Romanos and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's third match.
The red and yellow marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. The thread is moderated so your answer won't show up until the sponsors approve it. When Leobald headed down from the castle to set up for the third Gobstones match of the term he walked down in the chilly snowflake filled morning air where the grounds were slowly getting covered in a white layer of snow. By the time he had unlocked and entered the building his hands were shaking from the cold. Pulling out his wand he warmed himself up satisfiably before he fetched the stone bags and took a tour of the court and stands in the viewing area.
Everything looked good for the match so Leo took his place in the center of the court to wait for Medea and the players from Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. When a the group of student's had formed around him he spoke as much as to them as the people in the stands. "Welcome everyone to the third Gobstones match of the season."
"Good luck to both houses and remember that horse-play won't be tolerated." he said putting emphasizis on the last words. Giving the teams their stones, red to Gryffindor and yellow to Hufflepuff he took his place on the sideline.

In the first round of the match became a face off between Sarah Edwards of Gryffindor and Wade Potter of Hufflepuff. The two marched out onto the court with their teams shooters. On Mr Kitridge's signal both of them released their shooters. The stones sped off down the court. It was a close race all up to the Jack stone where the yellow stone managed to tap the Jack stone first.
"The first point of the match goes to Hufflepuff!" Leo announced.

It shot well past the Jack Stone and didn't stop until it reached the edge of the court just barely stopping before it went over the edge. The red stone could lazily and without haste roll up next to the Jack stone for the points.

The third round was similiar to the previous ones. Wade and Sarah stayed on the court even if it looked like some of the players on the benches wanted a shot with the shooters. The two players released their stones. The red stone leaping ahead of the yellow that after a few meters stopped in the middle of the court and sprayed the entire badger team in smelly gob. Luckily for the lions they managed to jump out of the way. The red stone could roll up next to the Jack stone without trouble.

Unfortunatley for the lions their stone started to swerve to the side and out of the round just when it had gotten half way down the court. The yellow stone took the opportunity and rolled up next to the Jack stone.
