STORMING MAD SHE WAS.

Stomping her feet down the hall she didnt even hear Claudette say anything to her as she unknowingly to ariana trailed behind her she had managed to pull her robe up over her face so that no one would see her as she stormed into the girls bathroom throwing the door open in a thud "Blibbering IDIOT." she was still unaware any of the others had followed her and wasn't really sure exactly how to get this beard off of her...

Still holding her books up to hide her face, Claudette rushed after Ariana. She wasn't sure if she just didn't hear her or was just so angry, but her question was an important one. These beards needed to come off! A horrifying thought flashed through her brain, but she quickly pushed that aside.

Seeing the older girl stalk off into the bathroom, the 16 year old followed behind, not daring to look in the mirror. She knew she'd look horrible and was afraid she would burst into tears with as emotional as she was right now. So many emotions swirled through her mind - anger, indignation, horror, humiliation.. she could go on. Was this the type of professor that Hogwarts had? Why had she ever come here.. to be 'taught' by complete mental cases?

"Idiot is an understatement," she muttered bitterly, not looking Ariana in the eye still embarrassed by the atrocity on her face even if the other girl had endured the same fate. She peeked up just slightly over the top of her book, adding, "You think Evanesco will work?"

Minerva had seen where the girls went as much as she wanted to head straight to someones office she had to go check on them and make sure they were alright. Walking into the bathroom she still felt her anger boiling from that man.. THAT MAN!!!! How dare he think he was better at Arithmancy just because he had a beard. She probably was smarter than him and she hadn't even gotten to Uni yet. Kicking the garbage can she watched it fall, but just didn't care at the moment. She turned, "Wacka doodle... Where on earth do the board members keep getting these people?" She pretty much was sure they picked the first mental hospital they could find and grabbed a few.

"Are you both alright?" She had heard Claudette as she walked in say about a spell, "possibly, but I think we need to see a professor just to make sure and show what that nut job did to us and why. I was thinking of going to see Healer Tillstorm, but maybe we should go see the Headmistress. Show her exactly what she has brought to this school." Plus she was still terrified of Tillstorm so not going in there especially with a beard was probably a good idea. "If you don't feel comfortable going to Truebridge we could always go to a head of house, Hadley or Ellwood. I will not see Lafay though." No way in hell would she see that woman. She would rather keep the beard than see her.

The snake followed Ariana and noticed that they were followed by other girls. Good, then they weren't alone. The more girls the better. They were here to prove a point. And to get away from the class without having to paint their beards. Eww. What even. As she walked with the girls she kept shooting glances around. Nope, she wasn't worried that a professor might catch them, she was worried that someone would see them like that! This was so uncool. Beard.

The bathroom. Good idea. She had been following absent-mindedly and didn't see where they were going. To busy making sure they didn't look like a joke.

Stepping into the bathroom Cassia leaned against a wall. Away from the mirrors. She didn't want to see. The image would haunt her forever! Horrible!

"We should have had a choice," She said frowning.

Cassia listened to Minerva and considered her words. "We need to go to someone who'd be on our side," So not the headmistress for sure. Because the woman's job was to be against students. That what she was for.

Annie had places to go, things to do, people to see. And normally, she did all these things just fine without making many pit stops. But a few moments ago, she had felt something itchy on her cheek and upon brushing it away, had a feeling that she had just smeared all her make-up.

Thus, an emergency trip to the girl's bathroom on the second floor was needed. She couldn't go out into Hogsmeade the world with her foundation smeared! The redhead click-clacked into the bathroom, and paying no attention to the bearded ladies currently cutting class, wiggled her way over to a mirror.

All her attention was on herself. Oh Merlin, it had smeared into her blush! Eek! MUST FIX. MUST FIX NOWWWW.

Penelope felt like they should all reward themselves with something to eat for walking out of that stupid lesson, but they all seemed instead to head to the bathroom. She had a momentary hesitation to just continue on down to the kitchen but then decided to go into the bathroom as well. Check on the others and stuff. Some of them seemed REALLY upset about it all, so it seemed the right thing to do to make sure they'd be okay even if they had beards. Maybe she could pull the beards off them or something. They were technically fake anyway, right? Since they'd been forced to grow them instead of choosing.

"Could go to Bentley," she suggested. Y'know, she was also a Head of House and stuff.

...Or the Headmistress could walk in. That worked too. Maybe.

It was just MAD and the seventh year was over... she was still muttering to herself as she looked in a mirror trying to see if she herself could get it off when she heard a voice..... and then another... and something being thrown! She turned around swiftly to see it was just min knocking over the trash and the girl from the carriage. "this is rediculous" utterly ridiculous. Really. She was about to responde to Claudette when the door swung open again and it was no one other then her little snakette and that made her PROUD ok?little snakes should be standing up for them selfs. But she has a beardtoo ... my my what a TRAGEDY! This was just bad... then the door went again.. and it was Penelope.... and...

Who Invited Her To This Rebel Gathering????

The beard was itchy and just GROSS, and panic began to rise in the girl's chest. What if it wasn't just a spell but more like a curse and they couldn't just magic it off? She was NOT shaving it because she was sure she would be left with hideous stubble, but maybe she could use a hair removing potion.. Yes, that was an idea..

Claudette lowered her book just slightly so that it was still covering the lower half of her face and was about to suggest this as an option when the door opened again and again. Minerva, she knew, of course.. but the other two girls she didn't. She hardly felt this was the time for introductions, but she was glad to see that there were others to band together with them all.. strength in numbers, right?

"Keep getting these people?" she repeated, with a hint of outrage in her voice. "Is this what the professors are like here?" So far she had limited interaction with the staff at this school. Professor Flamsteed seemed quite nutty himself, but at least he wasn't sexist and actually seemed to know what he was talking about. She nodded reluctantly as Minerva continued. "I don't want anyone to see me like this though," she admitted, still hiding behind the book. "But maybe Professor Elwood.. she seems very nice and I think she would be understanding." From what she knew of her, she prided herself on her appearance and she was sure she would favor women equality and stuff.

Glancing at the other Slytherin girl, whose name she did not know, Claudette nodded again. "That's right, we should have.. It's not right to force a student to do something they don't want to. And now I look hideous.." And NOT any better in Arithmancy. She opened her mouth to ask how the Gryffindor girl got so lucky to escape a beard when the door opened again. That was the Headmistress, wasn't it? Had she not even noticed them?

Minerva listened to the others anger still just boiling over. She just could not believe someone would higher that nut job. Honestly they would loose Magnus and Schirmer to gain HIM!! What was that saying about Hogwarts, really? Next thing she knew Cassia and Penelope were there, but Penelope didn't have a beard. "You got lucky, but I'm glad you walked out as well. I can not believe those other girls just went and got the beards. I know I've done whatever professors have asked for lessons before, but to sit there and let someone say they were smarter than me because of a beard. I don't think so. I bet I could run circles around that man." She was fuming and felt it was only getting worse.

As the door swung open she wondered if another girl had become smarter and walked out, but no it was Truebridge. YES... Minerva almost jumped at the woman. "Headmistress just the person we need." She went straight up to the woman. "Professor, do you know right now you have a professor forcing beards on his class and saying that men are smarter than woman because they can grow beards." This was an outrage and she of all people should see this. She was a woman.. a woman of power so of course she would see it. "He forced all of us by charming our faces. Then told us we would not be smart for the lesson because we did not drink his potion to grow the beard. I am plenty smart enough without being a man.." She didn't need any male things to be smart.. NONE... Now Headmistress what are you going to do about this mental case..

She looked at the other girls, "I don't feel this is showing any respect for his students nor is it showing new students such as Claudette here that our professors respect equality. We do not live in the stone ages of Men are better than Woman and I would hope educated people like him supposedly would know better." She crossed her arms still furious of the situation, but she knew it would get handled now. Well she hoped at least.

Accidentally the snake reached and scratched her chin. Gkgurghrjghrjnrj! it WAS itchy just like she thought it'd be. A shudder ran down her spine imagining how ridiculous they all looked. She tried to push any images of how she looked to the back of her mind. Which was kinda hard with an active imagination such as hers. Plus seeing the other girls' beards didn't help. This was a nightmare.

The only good thing about this was that they were five and that was a good number. They were in this together, right.

They needed to get rid of these beards first. That was the point of all this. At least for Cassia. Unfortunately, they needed to go to a professor. Surely, none of the girls wanted to take risk a chance and make the beard longer or thicker or whatever. Their faces were too precious.

The snake, nodded at everything the girls said. She totally agreed! And wanted to talk but talking required moving her jaw and that would let air touch her bearded skin and ..did that make sense? It did on her head.

At first, Cassia thought that the potion had side-effects. Hallucinating you know. Because what were the odds that the headmistress herself would ENTER the bathroom just now. Great. Of course, the only thing Cassia didn't want happens. Everyone seemed to have fell silent seeing the red-headed enter. Who didn't eve notice them. Did she need to use the.....facilities? Oh, she headed for the mirror. Well, there was a chance that she'd see the girls' reflections. With beards. Someone might freak out. This silence was kinda awkward.

Good thing someone talked. Minerva seemed to be doing a great job at explaining. If Cassia was to explain she'd just say she didn't wanna be seen with a beard. Which wouldn't be too convincing. And right now, the fifth-year only wanted the Truebridge to undo whatever this potion did and make the beards go AWAY! she totally liked Cassia, right?ahem.

"Ask her to remove them." Cassia whispered at Minerva. Which wasn't the smartest move since the woman was right there. But she whispered?

Yeah, Penelope supposed she had gotten lucky to have missed getting a beard. Staying quiet for a couple minutes apparently had its merits. And she didn't really have much to say about why other girls had stayed. Maybe they just hadn't been listening or they simply cared more about trying out a beard than what the professor said about women. Or whatever other reasons there were. That was their decision though, and they had a right to it too, just like they did. Yup.

Moving past that though, there was still the matter of getting the beards off them, but before she could suggest pulling them off, there had already been someone else in there. The Headmistress who seemed to not notice them at all...but then Minerva spoke up. Well that would get her attention, yeah? So Penelope would wait on speaking for now.

Nerida followed them entering a couple moments before the Headmistress had entered.. "What kind of nut job did they hire!?" She wanted to get this thing off of her face... It was itchy and well it was just majorly gross. They didn't belong on any of their faces! Hearing the other girls name Professors she nodded and agreed, all of them good candidates. "What about Professor Flamsteed. He took the beard off of Minerva when she looked into the bag!" Right? It was Minerva that had done it right. She couldn't remember, she was mad so she didn't remember some things when she was livid.

Just as she finished speaking the Headmistress walked in...Or you know the Headmistress could just come in. She hadn't noticed them. She looked over at them...Yeah she agreed with Cassia...Prefect Minerva should totally ask to save them from their horrendous beards...And make their faces stop itching and just...just...ack!!...Oh but then Minerva took to action. Yes!!! Now ask her to get them off...Ask! She didn't like the itchiness and she really wanted to itch her chin really bad.

Fuming Sky was fuming. Seriously, what kind of professor sends a curse after a student LEAVING THE CLASS?!?! Even Lafay doesn't do that she just tries to blow them up! Luckily, this was Hogwarts and she had been able to throw up a Protego before the professor's spell had hit her. She had paced the corridor outside the classroom for a bit, considering sending a curse back at the idiot of a professor before deciding to follow Ariana and the others into the bathroom (and why were they meeting in the BATHROOM of all places?!).

By the time she reached said room, the Headmistress was there. She listened as the other girls explained what had happened to them, then piped up with her own story. "Not to mention the nut job sent a spell after me when I was already out in the corridor. Luckily for me, I blocked it or I would've been forced to have a beard like these guys." Yeah, never try to curse the relative of a former MLEer.

Fina had places to go; mostly involving the second floor, because she hadn't seen anyone in her old place at the feast. Besides Dursley, but Annie had mentioned during the feast that he would be History of Magic, so clearly he was just confounded or best friends with the Astronomy Professor. So she wanted to see who in fact was taking over her classes, since he hadn't bothered to show his face at the feast. And Annie had said they had found someone... she just wanted to see him. BUT first, she realized she had the sudden urge for the loo.

Doing the potty dance in front of a new colleague was not something she wanted to be caught doing.

Entering the girl's bathroom, she didn't even notice the crowd by the mirrors, as she headed for a vacant stall. When you gotta go, you gotta go.

Whoa whoa whoaaaa.... what was this? Was she no longer allowed to re-apply her makeup in peace anymore?

Anastasia slowly lowered her compact and closed the lid of her lipstick, turning from the sink as though in slow-motion. She had just glimpsed the Bearded Ladies' reflection as she was looking at her own, and when one of them spoke up... well, that was when she recognized them. Wheatbeard, Somerstache, Nerhairida, Newbeardgirl, Logoateen... and some others without facial hair. Interesting. Was this some kind of... shaving party? Er? Poor things, they should really see Lafay for a depilatory cream before they tried shaving.... she could just imagine the stubble on their little faces... never mind that, they were actually here to complain about their professor.

Well then.

"Ms. Wheatbear---born," Annie cleared her throat importantly. "Do you mean to inform me that you are currently cutting class due to a misunderstanding with your professor? Your VISITING professor, might I add, who is VOLUNTEERING his time to teach for us?"

The men vs. women debate was a mere side-story to her, as she knew that women were obviously the more refined sex. This was CLEARLY an instance of student subordination, and facial hair aside, Anastasia would NOT stand for it!

The door opened and closed again, but before she could check to see if it were Myrtle, the person disappeared into a stall. Was that another deserter come to join these rebels' ranks? Things were really hairy down here on the second floor, apparently.

That door just kept swinging open and she kept watching the other girls come in and was surprised by all the girls coming in, touched even that so many other girls agreed with what she said in class they agreed with and left with her. Though she didnt expect them ALL to follow her into the loo! She was just going to come here for a moment and gather herself before deciding where to Go next.

There was a Min and a Lady Cassia, and oh DormMate!Sky was here to.. and greenwell and others this was great. GIRL RALLY! ... POWER TO THE FEMALES... er....

She had to use the loo it seemed and headmistress was talking and they WERE NOT skipping... there was an open door policy... surely they could leave if uncomfortable

Because it's not just the beards that we have a problem with, or least in my case, but the fact that he doesn't even know simple history." And yes, air quotes were used in places. Because things were just that bad. Though honestly, Sky didn't know why she was so surprised by the Headmisstress' lack of caring. She had, after all, left the Quidditch stadium right when dementors were attempting to suck out her teammates souls. Not to mention Professor Airey's pet rock. It was like she'd pointed out last term in History of Magic; the woman was completely useless.

And waiting for you to answer that, Headmistress.

Her arms were starting to grow tired from still holding the book up over the lower half of her face, but Claudette did not want to be seen with the atrocity sprouted from her chin.. even if the majority of the girls surrounding her had suffered the same fate. Her eyes peeked up over the top of the book and landed on Minerva as she walked over and address the Headmistress. The newly transferred sixth year nodded a bit here and there at a few of the Prefect's key points, then blushed as she mentioned her by name. Yes, that was why they walked out.. to take a stand in the name of women equality and the right to not have to be forced to to be disfigured.

But the Headmistress appeared to be angry and didn't seem to get the real reason they were congregated in the bathroom right then. She seemed to focus on the fact that they weren't in class. A class that she was no longer in, having dropped it the moment she walked out of a class.. at least in her mind she had. Her eyes darted to the adult who walked in, not seeming to notice them as she turned into a stall. She was a professor too, surely.. but the 16 year old had yet to meet her. Anyway.. back to the headmistress..

Claudette was just about to open her mouth to speak to the woman when the nonbearded snake girl beat her to it. Her eyes grew wide at the girl's tone. Oh no.. oh no no no no no.. That was certainly not how you spoke to someone in charge.. not if you wanted them to hear you out and help your case. She didn't know the Headmistress all that well, but she could already tell such disrespect would not bode well for them.

She cleared her throat quietly, still looking over her book. "I beg your pardon, Headmistress.. No disrespect was meant to either you or Mr. French.. but what Minerva said is true. He told us that men are better at Arithmancy than women, then forced these on us!" She dramatically lowered her book so the woman in front of her could see the horrible man!beard growing out of her face as her lower lip wibbled. Certainly she could understand her plight being a fashionable woman and all.. she wouldn't want to be forced to wear a beard either? "I mentioned in class about fake beards, but that was not an option.. so we took a stand for womankind.. and Arithmancy will no longer be on my timetable if the methods are so extreme." So she wasn't actually cutting class then if she was no longer taking it.. it was an elective, no?

Now sufficiently embarrassed, the blushing Claudette took a step backwards and raised her book in front of her face again. She glanced up at the other girls, seeing if one of them would speak or if the Headmistress would bite er head off or if the other lady professor had something to say when she was finished using the facilities. She bit her lip before quickly withdrawing in disgust.. furry, EW!

Really, thats all she caught from Minerva. She grimaced... Could she slap her into realizing logic? Hearing the door open she wondered if someone else came to join their ranks...But when she turned all she saw was a stall opening and closing. Listening to Sky she nodded, absolutely right. "Sky's right! He is so not the right person for this job. I don't think he even knows anything about Arithmancy other than the so called fact that men are better at Arithmancy. Which can proven wrong by Professor Hadley since she is obviously the best!!" Yeah Headmistress...Thanks for also asking if we were okay and not worrying about our well being... Well she wasn't surprised, the Headmistress had left poor Pebbles out in the open when the dementors attacked...

Minerva's eyes grew bigger as the headmistress didn't seem to listen to anything she said. Honestly the apples don't fall far from the tree didn't just pertain to parents and kids anymore did it? Was this why the school kept getting more and more nut jobs teaching and why the sane ones kept leaving. Minerva shook the thoughts out of her head. No the woman was better than this, she was a fellow Hufflepuff so crazy yes, but most important she was a leader of a school and a woman. So she had to understand. Seeing someone else walk in Minerva recognized the hair.. Hadley.. She would understand, but she went into the restroom and no way was Min interrupting her during private time.

Looking around at the other girls Minerva knew if they were going to get into trouble she just couldn't let that be. No she was the prefect standing there, she was a seventh year. If she had to take the fall for all of them she would do this. Though she felt the only one that should be on any form of trouble list should be that fake professor in a classroom down the hall.

Stepping out a little closer to the headmistress she was trying to get her thoughts together when she heard Sky and shuddered. Who really invited that girl in here anyway. She had left way before them was she just standing in the hall to see if the professor would come find her. Her eyes grew in horror for the rudeness. Minerva was mad, but she was still going to be respectful. Honestly did families not teach proper respect anymore. How in Merlin's beard was she going to fix this now. Now not only was their reason for leaving class hidden now because of rudeness, but she wasn't sure the Headmistress would listen.

Alright time to try to fix things, but as soon as Minerva opened her mouth again she shut it gritting her teeth together. Seriously where did these two seventh years comes from. Did they not realize you attract more flies with honey than vinegar? Taking a deep breath she tried to take her place in this chaos explosion group. "Please both of you. We are all upset none of us like these beards." even though some didn't even have them. "and none of us liked the fact that Professor French feels woman are not as smart as men because they do not have beards, but that is no reason to raise voices and forget our place." Which were good role models for these younger students seventh years.

Turning back to Professor Truebridge she tried to compose herself as well as calm her breathing. "Professor we are not trying to disrespect anyone and I a few times tries to ask Professor French to let us do the activity in a different way other than forcing the beards. I tried to even use it as a learning experiment to see if boys were clearly better than girls by letting some of us do the activity without using a beard, but he would not hear of it and he said over and over how we needed the beards because we were not as smart as men." She took another breath hoping this all made sense. "He just would not listen to reason or even try to explain why they were used for the activity other than men were smarter because of beards and then without warning flipped his wand and forced the beards onto us." Minerva had never left a class and she had been through many times where she wanted to leave, but this was just to much. "So I do apologize if it seems we had left and since I am the prefect here I will take full blame, but ma'am we just didn't see any other option when he wouldn't listen to reasoning." Now just wait for their fate and hope that the to loud mouths didn't get them all into major trouble.

People weren't focusing on the important issue. Nope, they really weren't. Now who cares about Arithmancy, being biased, idiot professor..blah blah. Could they just get rid of these beards? Did they really like how they looked? Cassia sighed hearing them talk then shot a dark look at Sky. What was she doing? Guaranteeing herself a beard for the rest of the year probably. Did she not know that the best way to insult someone is to do it BEHIND their back? How was she even in Slytherin. She should learn from Ariana and Cassia. And the other Ravenclaw girl decided she wanted to give her opinion on who was worthy of the job. Oh this was going to end badly for these two.

Also, did Professor Hadley, too, not notice the crowd? now everyone knows how dementors made it into the castle.

The snake turned her attention back to the group. At least the new girl, whose name Cassia found out was Caludette, knew how to talk in a way that didn't get all of them in trouble. Or bigger trouble, since they were already out of class. This one was a smart eaglette.

Then Minerva spoke and it was SO better. Yes, exactly, what she said. Cassia nodded at each and every word. while the hairs on her chin shook. "Yes, what Minerva said," She said. The prefect was the smartest to explain the situation without insulting, Cassia was definitely sticking with her.

And now would the awesome, pretty, red-headed un-wigged headmistress please remove those beards? Speaking of looks, the fifth-year's eyes trailed off to settle on the lipstick clutched in the woman's hand. Would it be rude if she like got closer and examine it. She found those stuffs interesting. Maybe the woman would leave it behind.

"Excuse YOU," the Headmistress WHIRLED on Sky Carter Hopeless Snakehead. "But WHERE do YOU get OFF thinking you can speak to me like that?" She drew herself up to all nearly six feet of her height in those heels and glared the girl down. "I could care LESS about your opinion of who I hire or WHY when you address me in that tone! Now you owe both me AND Professor R. French an apology or you WILL be groveling in DETENTION."

She almost didn't even hear the new girl, so steamed up was she over Sky's and Hairida's little... spiels. But at least this bearded child was trying to explain the lesson in more detail. Bunz listened with a firm frown on her face, but at least she was listening at all.

"So basically, when the professor offended you, you gave up on the lesson, and instead of trying to prove him wrong by maintaining a calm, cool head and beating him at his own activity, you decided to show the WORST qualities of women, and all stormed out of the room?"

She glanced around at the others with this question. "Is that right?"

You will NOT be allowed to take Arithmancy ever again, though apparently that is not a problem for most of you seventh years who already know everything. Sky had to smile at Nerida's agreement. Because, really, who allowed a professor to just CURSE students? And of course, she would be taking this up with her aunt to she what she thought she should do. If that involved pulling her out of this school, well, so be it.
