| | |  Gobstones Match: Hufflepuff vs. Gryffindor
The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the brisk, early autumn air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Romanos and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first match.
The red and gold marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch. OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. The thread is moderated so your answer won't show up until the sponsors allow it. When Leobald headed down from the castle to set up for the first Gobstones match of the term a light rain drizzled down on his head as he walked. By the time he had unlocked and entered he looked like soaked cat. Pulling out his wand he dried himself satisfiably before he fetched the stone bags and took a tour of the court and stands in the viewing area.
Everything looked good for the match so Leo took his place in the center of the court to wait for Medea and the players from Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. When a the group of student's had formed around him he spoke as much as to them as the people in the stands. "Welcome everyone to the first Gobstones match of the season."
"Good luck to both houses and remember that horse-play won't be tolerated." he said putting emphasizis on the last words. Giving the teams their stone, yellow to Hufflepuff and red to Gryffindor he took his place on the sideline.

Standing to the side as Leo announced the beginning of the match, Medea watched intently as both a Hufflepuff and Gryffindor player took their positions for the first shot of the game. Wade Potter could have been mistaken for a statue with how calm he was, resulting in a great shot as the yellow stone passed the red stone shot by sixth year Oichi Paulidine and inched it's way closest to the Jack stone.
"The first point of the match and season goes to Hufflepuff!" Medea announced. Exciting!

No stranger to the game, Hufflepuff quidditch captain Ella Bishop quickly and accurately released her yellow shooter towards the Jack Stone. Gryffindor's Alexa Cambridge red stone was released only a split second later, seemingly having been pressured to do so before she was ready, causing her red stone to stop just passed the Jack stone while Ella Bishop's yellow shooter hit it straight on.
"Points go to Hufflepuff!" Medea announced quickly as she hopped out of the way to dodge the not so healthy coating of putrid goo shot towards the Gryffindors. Oh, how unfortunate. It was a lot worse smelling up close.

Deciding to give it another try, Alexa Cambridge stayed in her position, red stone already in hand while seventh year Jory Stonewall took up his place by the playing 'field'. It was an intense quiet few seconds before both stones were rolled into play. Unfortunately, the yellow stone had a bit of a spin to it, causing it to run into the red stone and ultimately knocking them both out of play. [The answer I was looking for was Thwartwasp's Fury]
