| | |  The Aquarium
 You'd never be able to tell that the stone building connected to the Care of Magical Creatures Barn once housed a numerous amount of Fire Crabs. The building, still windowless however, underwent quite the makeover during the summer months, and Professor Newlin is quite pleased with the end results.
Huge tanks line the walls now, and, in some areas of the building, the ceilings as well. And once you enter and venture down those three steps to get a closer look, it may take your eyes just a moment or two to adjust to all the brightly colored coral, plants and rocks inside of them. But once your eyes do adjust, it's not just the coral, plants and rocks that you see.
FISH! Thousands of fish, of all shapes and sizes, muggle and magical alike, are on exhibit inside those tanks. And if there comes a time where you need help identifying a certain species, or if you just want to learn more about them, the colorful fish chart located in front of each tank will be there to guide you. Differentiated by the temperament of the fish, the stone building is made up of three sections. The peaceful fish can be found in the very front, the semi-aggressive fish can be found in the middle, and the aggressive fish can be found in the back.
While all the fish are different from one another, they happen to dislike the same thing. So, please. Do not tap on the glass.

With thoughts of her last summer adventure on her mind, Cece made her way to the Care of Magical Creatures buildings. Sure, the person that was on her mind was no longer the professor there but that didn't matter. She could still think about him as she walked around.
Walking into the new aquarium she looked around in amazement. Wow, Vanora had done an amazing job here she thought as she slowly walked through the aquarium admiring the many different fish. This place just might have to become her new favorite place to hide from students get away for some peace and quiet.

And since it didn't looking like her friend was leaving anytime soon, not that she was going to let her because they hadn't had a chance to talk at the opening feast, Vanora moved closer and pushed one of the containers of food into her hand. "While you're here.." She could help.

An aquarium! This was definitely one of the coolest things Jake had ever seen at this school. Or any other. And he couldn't wait to get a look at it.
Holding Anya's hand, Jake entered the aquarium. He stood still for a moment, letting his eyes adjust to the different lighting. When they did, he grinned. "Wow," he breathed. He eyes widened as a fish swam right past his eyes in the tank closest to him.
"Look at that!" He was whispering. This was as cool as that shark in Carter's bathtub. Possibly cooler... because Jake wasn't worried these fish would jump out of their tanks and attack. | |

She watched as the Nemos and the Dorys swam by. The smile on her face growing by the second. "I want to snorkel sometime..."

Oichi walked by the Care of Magical Creatures area and saw a new corridor. She walked down it and her eyes popped open. Was she really in a gigantic aquarium at school, apparantly. This was amazing. She wondered if anyone she knew had discovered this place as well.

He turned his head, looking at her while she tried to say something. Grinning slowly, he nodded. "They do," he answered confidently. "It's how they protect themselves." A lot of things used electricity to protect themselves. Eels, jellyfish, electric fences...
...Magical fish? Jake looked back at Anya before leaning back to sit on his legs. "There's like... Kappas?" Was that what she was talking about? Did they even count as fish? ... "Mermaids...." Those weren't fish. He was pretty sure. | |

And by that she completely meant... just... arrive in Hawaii one day and see. Not do any sort of vacation research or anything like that.
She nodded. "Yeah. I knew that part..." she said. "I meant... If I touched one... would it hurt? Because... if I touched something like... a jellyfish... or an electric fence... that sort of thing would hurt."
But little Nemo homes? She wasn't sure about that.
She blinked. Then giggled.
"I'm sure both Kappas and Mermaids would be severely offended if they heard you call them magical fish." she said. She giggled a few more times. You know, in case he didn't feel silly enough already.
"Do you think there's some sort of... like... magic eel out there? Like... an electric one, but instead of shocking you, it'll... magic you."
And yes, she did just use magic as a verb.

Oichi suddenly heard a high pitched voice that sounded quite familiar that startled her for a moment. She looked and saw that it was Lexi. She was being nice, hmm, well attitudes had changed a bit at the feast. Perhaps they could be friends. "Hey Lexi, isn't this place amazing. I have never seen an aquarium quite this size in a school. It's mind boggling, but Hogwarts is known for mind boggling stuff like this, isn't it. I don't know if I'll ever fully get used to though!!!", Oichi said giving Lexi a smile and then staring out at the beautiful structure with all the magical and non-magical aquatic wildlife. This place felt like a dream.
