Colby may not have won the bid on those shoes he was trying to get for his wife but he was determined to get this weekend getaway. With their second child on the way he wanted to have one last weekend getaway with his wife before the baby was born.
Grabbing a pen off the table he filled out his information in the parchment.

Looking for something special to give to his wife, Alexander began a walk through of the various items up for bidding during the silent auction phase of the fundraiser. She asked for something earlier. A patch of...grass? Or something like that. He still hadn't figured out what that was all about. He came upon a table for a romantic vacation for two. Sure, beaches weren't Hecate's thing, but he liked the idea of the two of them being able to get away and do something together. Besides, they didn't have to spend their time at the beach.

Once Colby had placed his bid on the wand polishing kit and holster he went to check on the romantic weekend he had bid on earlier.
Seeing the bids had went up by 35 galleons since he last bid he let out a sigh. He really wanted to win this bid so he could have a much needed weekend away with his wife, before the new baby arrived.
Picking up the quill he placed yet another bid.

Oh no, this wasn't happening. Colby was not going to be outbid on this one. The Minister of Magic himself couldn't be so hard up for money that he had to try and steal away out bid this item from a poor DA shopkeeper. No, he had to be doing this just to try and throw his power around. Try to intimidate people not to bid against him. Well that wasn't going to work on Colby, he would continue this little bidding war all night if he had to or until he knew he couldn't afford it.

Okay, that did it. Who was this Colby Formaggio, and where could Alexander find him? The Minister was not going to back down, so Formaggio may as well move on elsewhere. Alexander enjoyed a good challenge, though, so after filling out another bid, he perched himself alongside the table, hands folded firmly across his chest.
