Selina wanted to kick something. Merlin, seriously she missed Vivi so much. Wandering around the castle together was sort of their thing. True, it had been in search of her beater bat when it had GONE MISSING the year before, but it was still their thing. And now she had no one who wanted to wander the castle with her. In fact, most of her really good friends- NOT ICKLES... it was a different kind of affection- had graduated.

So she was reduced to being all sad and pathetic and wandering the castle alone leaving her with her thoughts, which was a totally dangerous thing for her to be left alone with. The things that went through her mind could not even be classified by a crazed person as sane. Eh, not that she minded. Being balanced was somewhat of a primitive idea. New ideas and progress was NEVER made by sane people. It was too predicable. And Selina rather saw herself as an innovator. Duh.

Taking a seat up against the wall, the redhead leaned her head back against the wall and began to think to herself- HOW MUCH LONGER UNTIL THE MINISTRY ADMITTED JAMES BOND WAS REAL. She already knew the truth.

With her thumb, index and middle finger, the brunette massaged her temples as she jaunted along the second floor corridor. She was having a throbbing headache again. She'd been getting lots of that lately. Perhaps it was because she was trying to keep herself busy with things so as not to dwell on other....stuff. Classes and Prefect duties were fortunately doing that for her....however, with headaches in return.

SIGH. She'd really have to visit the Healer soon. A potion might be helpful.

Just as she'd turned around a corner, her eyes caught sight of something......red. Was that hair? Beezus stepped closer and found that it was the Head Girl. And honestly, her damn red hair looked beautiful braided like that. She seemed to be in deep thought. Would it be wise to make her presence known?

"Are you okay?" She couldn't stop her tongue though so she shrugged it off and slid her hands behind her back pockets.

Honestly, the redhead had no idea why the Ministry was lying to its citizens. Selina already KNEW that James Bond was real... if he wasn't why would there be so much information on him? There was just too much information for him to be fake and she just had this feeling. She KNEW he was real... and so her dream to be a Bond girl was one hundred percent rational. Or at least that was what she told herself.

But then she heard someone walking over to her... and she was suddenly on alert. Where was Mortimer? She reached for her bat to realize that he wasn't there. Merlin, she had forgotten him in her dorm. Ah well, who was it? Turning her head to look up, she saw Beezus Castell standing there with her hands in her pockets looking down at her.

Oh, um, awkward.

Clearing her throat, she sat up a little straighter and rested her hands on her legs, "Who me? Yeah... I'm fine." Just miffed that the Ministry kept sending her mail BASICALLY saying that she was nuts. When she finally found James Bond everyone who thought she was nuts was totally going to be shocked and jealous. And then when she was a Bond girl they were going to be even more jealous. Because being a Bond girl was too cool.

Tapping on her leg awkwardly, she moved over a little so if, you know, Beezus wanted to sit down she could. Not that she was sure that the younger girl would want to or something. "Um... how are you?" That was polite, right? Because that was all Selina and Beezus were now.

Truth be told, she knew it wasn't such a good idea to approach the Head Girl without a proper nor valid agenda. Things between them had taken a complete turn to the ground last term and even though she'd wanted for them to be "friends", it just wasn't happening yet. So they were more likely....acquaintances as of the moment. Despite this though, she couldn't help herself when she saw how seemingly distraught she looked earlier.

Hence why she took the first step.

She was fine. Oh..so uhm......Beezus nodded, unsure how to continue. Awkwardness ensued. But then the lioness was edging a bit on her seat...she was giving her some space to sit on? Blink. It wasn't her plan to stay long but maybe, just MAYBE, that could be changed at the last minute. Especially since Selina began to ask her how she was.

"Oh, you know...busy with homework and watching over the 'claws." She answered with a shrug, moving over and finally settling beside the Head Girl. Cue more awkward. "So, how's being a Head Girl going for you?" They can start with that, right? A light conversation. Yep.

The redhead just kind of stared at Beezus as the younger girl seemed to be deciding if she would sit down or not. Okay, seriously? Selina did not bite. No, that was reserved for the new Quidditch Captain and she was so proud of her little Biter. What a cutiepie. When she was violent it was so endearing; what other person could pull that off? Selina liked to think that when she was violent it was scary so she really did hope that she was not endearingly violent. Anyway, Beezus could totally sit down if she wanted to. It was not a guarantee that the conversation would go well at all, but at least it was something, yeah? Olive branch... kind of. Not that Selina was really thrilled about the way last year had turned out between them. It still made her really angry when she thought about it.

Pushing that aside though, Beezus did finally sit down. Turning her head to look at the 'Claw she nodded, "Sounds about right." Being a student leader seemed to have that affect. And being Head Girl was just quadruple her old responsibilities, so she really sympathized with what Beezus was saying. Then again, her 'Claws were normally a pretty well behaved bunch. Gryffindors were another thing all together. She LOVED her little ickles. Being sane was boring anyway.

Oh cool, so they were going to have weather conversation, were they? Yeah, Selina could tell. They were going to talk all nice to each other. Fine, she was cool with that. It was not like they really had a lot to say to each other and the stuff they could have would not have turned into a nice conversation. "Head Girl is different. I'm still getting adjusted. How do you like being prefect?"

"You're doing a good job, so far you know." Honestly, she'd have to commend the Gryffindor for being a responsible leader. Everyone knew how violent Selina could be but for the few weeks since term began, she haven't witness the Head Girl throwing a dire violent reaction to something...at least not yet. She was also very prompt during their meetings. She generally had a sense of leadership if truth be told.

Beezus moved a bit to make herself comfortable, resting her back against the wall.

So, her on being a Prefect. Returning the Head Girl's gaze, Beezus shrugged. "I'm getting the hang of it. Like you, I'm adjusting....slowly." However, she was aware Selina's was more intense than hers. She was right when she said Head Girl was different. The girl had to look out for almost everyone's well being, not limiting to only her house. "Although, my body can't seem to cope up. I've been getting these searing, constant headaches these past few days." She was actually sharing? "I guess you do too?" Yeah? That seemed to be a common denominator with the student leaders.

"Thanks, Beezus," Selina said sincerely. As much as she and Beezus were not exactly seeing eye-to-eye at the moment, well, she did honestly appreciate the sentiment. There was no rule that she HAD to say Selina was doing a good job. Although, Selina would have hazarded to disagree with her on the good job thing. The redhead was BARELY getting any sleep just because of the pure weight of this bloody badge. Again, she was honored, but it was really stressful. EVERYBODY knew who she was. As Captain she was just that scary bat girl, which was AWESOME, but now she was the Head Girl. There was a more serious tone to it. Merlin, she wished that there wasn't. Couldn't they just eat cookies and smack some bludgers around?

And Beezus was getting headaches? Not to be rude, but Selina snorted.

Rubbing her nose to try and get her laugh under control, she stretched her legs out on the floor and crossed one over the other, "OH yeah... those'll be sticking around for a while. Those headaches are just part of the job." The ickles always saw to that. Selina had sort of found a coping method with the whole head ache thing... she just starting waving her bat around. The ickles USUALLY shut up pretty quick after that. It was like insta-good behavior, which from HER bunch was a feat. Honestly, the two rowdest houses were Slytherin and Gryffindor. Luckily they both had a batch of leaders who did NOT mess around and were not easily distracted!

OH SHINY THINGS!

WAIT, WAIT FOCUS! Right, Beezus, conversation, they were doing that. "So," what else was a safe topic for them to talk about? "You excited for OWLs?"

Beezus shrugged. "Just saying the truth." There wasn't any need for her to lie. From observation, she could see that Selina was getting through her duties more than what she was aware of. It first was a shock to find out that she was Head Girl because being a Quidditch Captain wasn't exactly in tune with that position. "You deserve it. And I bet Kurumi is so proud of you." She added, nodding. That didn't even have to be stated. Everybody knew the two were best friends and the former, being a prominent student leader when she was still at school, well, you can just imagine how happy she must be.

Her head quickly turned to the girl as she seemed to suppress a laughter but failed in the attempt. Beezus had to bite her bottom lip to stop a grin from surfacing. "Headaches. Student leaders. Yeah, I think they coincide." Poor them, huh? "Especially when your house loses points out of misconduct and there was nothing you could do about it." It sucked, really. And it also leaves a feeling of guilt, failure, regret as an aftertaste.

Beezus shifted slightly to face the Head Girl more, indicating that she was paying attention to their conversation. They weren't throwing severe words at each other, the course was running smooth.....a good thing, yeah? Hopefully.

OWLs. "Should I be?" She let out a light laugh upon answering Selina's question if she was excited for the said examination. Hmm. Maybe she could ask for some advice from her? Meh. But taking the test meant more studying, more stress, more exhaustion. Those words weren't the best one in existence, you know.

Why was it that when EVERYONE congratulated her on the whole Head Girl badge thingy that was pinned to her chest they followed it with I'm sure that Kurumi is proud. Yes, her best friend was very proud and they were so happy together about it because the badge was for GRYFFINDOR, not just Selina. But why did they always follow it with Kurumi. She knew she was the lesser half of the two friends, but still it was a comment that was beginning to wear on her nerves. Yes, did Kurumi deserve the badge more then Selina did? Yes, she did. But Selina was not a part of that decision. Selina did not CHOSE to get the badge... it had been given to her. And she knew that people had always preferred Kurumi over her, but it was... still not always nice to be reminded of.

Swallowing all of her anger at the Kurumi comment and all of the subtext that went along with it, she just grinned at Beezus in an attempt to NOT snap and said, "Yeah, she's really proud." And that was ALL she was going to say about that. Kurumi was her best friend and she loved her, but it was degrading to always be looked at as KURUMI'S best friend. It was only a part of her... a large part of her life, but just a part.

At least now they were talking about a safe subject and not Kurumi. But Selina did have to admit that she found it endlessly funny that the younger girl was already experiencing the head aches. They were there to stay so she might as well get used to them. It was like a requirement of student leading. "Especially then. And you have to get used to that because a LOT of kids here like to lose points." Luckily for the lions they all were pretty terrified of Mortimer and usually stayed in line because of him. Beyond that, the other houses had NO Mortimer's to keep them calm. Poor other houses.

"I think you'll be fine. Most Ravenclaws are." At least Beezus was guarenteed to NOT blow up the potions lab like Selina had her seventh year. Merlin, it was an AWFUL experience and she was pretty sure that the proctor was THIS close to hurting her. Ah well, it was a great story.

"Yeah, she's really proud."

Oh, okay. Maybe Selina wasn't too keen dragging Kurumi in their conversation. Beezus didn't get that at first. Why not, right? They both knew the former Gryffindor, but then it occurred to her that maybe talking about Kurumi made the Head Girl immensely miss her best friend. No, she wasn't going to deal with Selina if she ever get emotional talking about the Cookie Girl so she decided to just offer a nod followed by a shrug.

Safer subject at hand. "Yeah, I'm kinda getting used to it." Beezus laughed softly. "Although, telling off older Ravenclaws than myself is a bit difficult to do." She was only a fifth year. There were sixth and seventh years in her house who, at times, unreasonably wants to wear her fuse short. "You're a seventh year, I suppose that's a lot easier for you?" Well, being older and being scary had it's advantages that was for sure.

"Stereotypically speaking, yes, as a Ravenclaw, I should be." She snorted and shook her head. That was so not true. Just because she was a 'Claw didn't mean there wasn't a possibility of failing. Meh. "You'll be having your NEWTs, right?"

Speaking of NEWTs and Selina being a seventh year. "Holy snitch. Her voice rose a bit as her eyebrows forked together. "I almost forgot. You'll be graduating this term." Late realization? Yep. She can really be so slow sometimes.

She was pretty glad that they had moved off of the topic of Kurumi. As much as she loved her best friend, which was probably more than ANOTHER other person on the planet- Kurina love was literally stuff of legend, she did not like the fact that she was constantly compared to her. The redhead knew if it was a competition Kurumi would have won and she was cool with that, her best friend was awesome, but the constant reminder? Yeah. She was not a fan of that.

The seventh year leaned her head back against the wall as Beezus laughed and went on about the headaches. Although, Selina had to admit she didn't understand what Beezus meant by having trouble telling older people what to do. Selina had always been sort of a terrifying person and she knew that, so people generally listened to her. And if they didn't off the bat, they learned to. So Beezus' trouble with the older students was foreign to her. Trying to be understanding, she said, "I'm sorry. It'll get easier?" Maybe? Eh, it always was pretty easy for Selina to be commanding. Her personality meshed well with it.

Okay, so like the Kurumi thing for Selina, it seemed that Beezus was not a fan of the 'Claw comment. Even though SOME stereotypes were in their for a reason, unless of course that 'Claw was Shacklebolt. He was something else... seriously. What WAS he? Weird, that was what. "Well, you'll be fine. And I am taking my NEWTS. Scary, right?" She was TOTALLY going to blow up the potions one again because Dylan had gotten the idea in his head that he could tutor her. Fat chance. She was not teachable in that subject.

HOLY SNITCH! WHERE? Oh expression... right. Yeah, she was confused for a minute there too. Chuckling to herself, she answered, "I am. I'm sad and anxious, you know? I've got such awesome things I want to do with my life... I'm ready to go." But at the same time there were so many people here she was NOT ready to say goodbye to.

Laura had found another perfect spot to put the poster in, she was going to find the best points to put them, she wanted to show everyone how you maximized the affect of the poster, she giggled as she looked around to make sure no one was looking even though she wasn't doing anything wrong she was still a bit nervous in case a Professor told her off. "Geminio!" Laura pointed her wand at the poster and she was glad when the poster duplicated again, this was just so awesome and she was loving every second of it.



Once she was sure it was in the best position she smiled as she walked off, to find another great place to put the next poster.

Dylan continued on, remaining on the lookout for possible places to stick his next poster...and he was going to continue moving up staircases...until he seen something. Something that made him stop dead in his tracks...

CREEPY BOND GUY!

Casually stepping over to the rather large, red poster, Dylan eyed it with disdain. He did NOT like that man. There was nothing about him that was likable...Not even if he did have an attractive face. In fact, the Slytherin almost felt that's what people were buying...His pretty face.

Mildew also had a pretty face...but did that mean he should be on a Board of Education? No.

Acting all casual like, Dylan unsheathed his wand, pulling another of his posters. With careful precision and placement, he covered up the mass of red that had been CREEPY BOND GUY'S face with "Adhaero!". HMPH.

Moving on...

Sierra stopped in the middle of the second corridor. Or, this is what she thought to be the middle. She shrugged to herself then opened her book bag. Rummaging through it, she pulled out the campaign poster she'd made in Muggle Studies class. Not wanting to waste a single second, she whipped out her wand and aimed it toward the poster. "Geminio!" she said.

She duplicated the poster four times altogether, which made five copies counting the original. Sticking her wand back into her holster, she turned around and plastered the poster on the wall. Using the sticking charm, she hung the poster there for all to see.

One down. Four to go.

It was DARK. PITCH BLACK. Nobody in sight except for Milton who was following Taryn.

And a giant CATTLE under his arm. That's right. Milton was running down the hall with a full-sized male cattle under his arm. Totally normal. Good thing he was a fast runner. Even if it wasn't dark, no one could catch him. Bwahahaha.

It was such a nice day outside, Annie had quite enjoyed her dressing up and shopping adventure. It was as she was coming back inside with all her bags that she started to get irritated for --- gasp! --- only the first time that day.

The redhead had to stop and take a breather by the time she reached the second floor. Ugh. Why hadn't she commissioned a house elf to carry all these bags around for her, huh????

Sophia was on her way back from the staff room where she had gone to get tea things. Her supply in her office had run out and she certainly didn't want to walk to the staff room every single time she wanted to make tea..which was quite often mind you.

She paused when she almost smacked into the headmistress who was carrying multiple shopping bags. Well then..she'd lie if she said she didn't envy the woman for whatever shopping haul she was toting up the stairs.

"Had an impromptu shopping trip headmistress?" She asked eyeing the bags briefly.

But Sophia was not going to be bitter about not being able to take shopping trips in the school term since she had left the castle a few times for family events. Though she did struggle really hard to not laugh at the woman and her bags.

Didn't she know about expansion charms or even ones to simply lighten her load? The woman clearly needed help.

"I think you should thank your lucky stars you ran into me headmistress." She moved over and tapped one bag and cast the undetectable expansion charm none verbally on the smallest bag.

"Just drop everything in here."

"Will you come join me for tea, Sophia? I owe you one." She felt like a dunce now for carrying all her bags along for two whole floors.

Charms just didn't get the kind of recognition that it really deserved..see just how helpful it was ALL the time? Sophia couldn't remember the last time she even attempted to lift anything heavy..not even when working as an interior decorator.

"You're welcome." She was about to move off when she was invited for tea. Did she miss the memo about Annie being skilled at Legimency?
