Welp. This was a particularly desolate stretch of hallway, and Mo didn't really care for it at ALL. Then again, if he was going to send students somewhere untraveled and safe, this might be the place. Where in the school was safer than with Professor Ab-Bot? NOWHERE.

"Not very many pictures here. We can try them all," Mo decided, moving to the first portrait and giving it a pokepokepoke. This was getting to be exhausting, actually, and Mo wanted to just go back to his common room and collapse on a couch for a while. Or maybe go to the kitchen for cookies. Or something. Pokepokepoke.

So higher they went looking for this painting that would show them to some super cool hidden passage that took them back to the room downstairs...that's how it worked right? Hopefully that's how it went because that's what she kept repeating to herself over and over as they climbed. It was all that kept her going up.

It didn't take much of a look to realize just how right he was. "Mhm. I guess you can knock those and I'll knock these." She said before drifting to the right of the corridor. How did this work exactly? Was tapping a must or could jabbing work too....?

Lex eyed the portrait curiously before tapping, because Mo tapped!poked and he was right so therefore to be right she needed to do that too. "Any luck?" She asked, making her way down and knocking at the portraits like she was meant to. Something had to work.

"No luck," Mo shook his head before circling back around to where Lex was jabbing at portraits. She sort of looked like she was getting frustrated, or tired, or MAD at the portraits, but Mo couldn't really blame her. "Let's just try a few more spots and then we can retire in admirable yet TOTAL defeat."

Just a suggestion. He'd even let her pick their next spot.

Lex was in the middle of jab!poking a portrait when she heard his response. The ones on the left were no good and she was beginning to think the same of the ones on the right. Merlin, they weren't going to make it easy, were they? At first she didn't like his suggestion. Giving up wasn't a very lion-like thing to do afterall, but when she went jab!poking at another without much success she quickly realized that he had a good point.

"Alright. Fair enough." This was the part where she stepped away from the portraits before she broke them.

"I think I know where we should check next..." It wasn't a very concrete thought but it was one nonetheless. "Follow me." Lex actually had very little idea where she was going but leaving the corridor would have been a good start so technically, so far, she was going the right way.

Two more to go!

Surely she could do this, although, why she'd convinced herself to go UP the stairs instead of staying DOWNstairs was beyond her. Now she had to walk alllll the way down, which wasn't complicating or tiring, but...it was just a waste of time.

Right.

She'd nearly walked OUT the corridor when she realized she'd spent so much time griping and hadn't even hung her poster yet. She dropped her bag to the floor, grabbed one of her two remaining copies, and headed to the wall. She held the poster to the wall and again used the sticking charm to make it stay.

Four down, one to go.

Taylor wandered the school and found herself in the fifth floor corridor. She looked around and sighed. Tay backed into a hiding place and sat down.

Natalie had a letter clutched in her hand. She was determined to send it before too long.

So why was she on the fifth floor, in a corridor not too near the jewelry?

Obviously, she was lost.

A few doors and moving staircases ago, ago she was happily in her dorm, writing the letter. Now she was in a very unfamiliar corridor with too many possible rooms.

Why is this place so big, again?

Tally began opening doors, looking around. Suddenly she stumbled upon an older blonde girl, maybe around her cousin's age. "Sorry!!" she said quickly, going red in her cheeks.

Taylor looked up, "Hey... It's fine." She smiled at the little girl, "I'm Tay and you?" She held out her hand to the girl.

Natalie cautiously shook Tay's hand. Why was this girl so eager to make friends with people...? It seemed like every one here was friendly. Actually, Tally hadn't met one shy person yet!! "I'm... Natalie," she answered. She glanced to the girl's feet, where her letter had fallen. Should Natalie get it, or.....

"Pardon? I didnt hear your name." She giggled then noticed the dropped letter. Tay picked it up and handed it to her without looking at it. "Here, ya drop this. What year are ya in?" Taylor smiled at her.

"Natalie," Tally repeated, voice wavering a little. She was grateful as Tay handed her letter back. It wasn't like she was hiding something, she just didn't want to have to get near the strange girl. "I'm a second year."

Tay smiled, "I love your name! It is so pretty." She laughed and nodded, "Good year to be in... I am a fifth year. I have nasty OWLS." Taylor made a face, trying to get her to laugh.

Natalie nodded a thanks, not entirely used to compliments. "Nasty owls? Do they bite you when you try to feed them?" she asked, eyes widened slightly. Mean owls are not good!! They scared Tally!! Gulp. "My cousin's owl is nice," she added as an afterthought. "You can use him if you need to send letters." Once Tally found him, of course. "I was just about to visit him to get a letter sent to my cousin."

Taylor laughed and smiled, "No...no... I dont mean the animal owl but the tests as in Ordinary Wizarding Levels." She gave the little girl a smile, "Thanks for the offer though. What school does your cousin go to?"

...Tests...?

Natalie was reeeeally confused now. Who would name tests after animals?!?! Why?!

Anyways.

She got to talk about her cousin now!! Yay!! "She goes here! she told Tay, cheery at the fact that she could talk about something familiar to her. "Well... Uhm, kinda. She's supposed to be here, but she stayed at home. With her boyfriend," she added, a small giggle escaping her.
