Down the main staircase in the Entrance Hall and to the left lie the dungeons of Hogwarts. In order to reach the various classrooms down here and the Slytherin Common Room, you have to make your way through the creepy, dark, green-tinged dungeon corridors...
Though Aspen's Common Room was many stories above, she was often in the dungeons. Since her family before her, her friends, and currently her little brother all lived in this space - Aspen just felt at home in the dark, dank space adjacent to them.
Or maybe she just thrived in creepy places. All the same.
At current, she was waiting for Taryn. No particular reason - just... they'd spent a lot of last year apart, all of the summer on different continents, and none of the train or feast together. Time for hi's and hello's before the term got too busy.
While she waited, Aspen munched on an apple - just like all the Slytherin boys did.

Taryn stepped out of the common room, two sealed envelopes in hand. She was getting ready to make the long walk up to the owlery to send off two letters to Beauxbatons school, one for Tori and one for August. She did pause, however, when she spotted her other BFF. The one who was still here. "Hey." She smiled at the girl, "I always thought you should be a Slytherin, that would certainly be more fun to share a common room." And it would save her the effort of walking to the Ravenclaw common room... which she was already planning on doing so that didn't actually count. Heh. "Missed me?" MISSED YOU, BFF! She had another smile for her too.

Aspen shrugged. She was content in Ravenclaw. It hadn't ever felt like she didn't belong in her House. But then again, she would have liked to be where West was...
... and missed her?
Hmm.
It'd been a different sort of year, one full of secrets kept and held on the parts of BOTH girls. Aspen wasn't sure she'd qualify her feelings towards Taryn as missing her, but she was certainly glad to see her now.
"In some ways." True enough. "I guess I missed you giving me funny looks all the time and all the model chatter." Because even though it didn't really MEAN all that much to Aspen, it taught her stuff.
Aspen's eye caught sight of the letters, and she pointed at them with her half eaten apple. What were thoooooose?

Aspen was sort of odd, really. Even though Taryn hadn't spent much time with the girl in the last year, or at all over the summer, she still counted her as one of her best friends, but she was still odd. "I suppose I missed your answers for everything." Two could play that game, Odessa.
She held up the letters, "One for Tori, one for August. I was heading to the owlery to send them off, do you want to walk with me?" Hopefully the girl hadn't just walked all the way down here from there just to go back up again. "You can tell me about your summer and I'll try to keep the model chatter to a minimum." Heh. Or not, since it was her WHOLE summer and all. Well... the good chunk of it, anyway.
Since she didn’t get to talk to some of her friends at the feast, especially those who weren’t at the same table as her, Gwendolyn felt the need to see what they were up to. So, the sixth year made her way to the lower part of the castle first, because she had to find a certain Slytherin there.
The dungeon corridor was as creepy as ever, and pretty much the only thing she could hear was the echoing sound made by her own steps. However, Gwen ignored that and continued to make her way along the corridor, hoping that she would come across her friend. Was it really likely to find Nora around here?
Hmm.
Gwen took a few more steps and looked around. Well... no luck so far. The Ravenclaw turned her head and glimpsed at the end of the corridor, at the place from where she came a moment ago. Maybe it was best to go back. She would get to catch up with Nora after some class, right? Gwendolyn decided to wait a few more minutes before heading back.

Melody decided to take a stroll outside of her common room. She was easily becoming adapted to living in Hogwarts. This was great everything was going well for her first day or so at Hogwarts. She already felt like this was home. Well, maybe her second home.
It did not take Melody long to notice someone in the dungeon corridor. She slightly tilted her head for a moment thinking. She then raised her head back up, this person was not a Slytherin.
"Excuse me... are you lost?" She asked. For some reason the girl looked familiar.

The sixth year sighed as she kept waiting at the dungeon corridor, and folded her arms as she shifted her weight on her left foot. Hmm. Well… Guess I’d better head back, the Ravanclaw told herself and was ready to walk away when she heard someone say something. Errr.
LOST?
*eye roll*
‘No’, Gwen answered curtly. ‘Do I look lost?!’ Whoever that student was, she better not answer this question. After a moment, the sixth year glimpsed at the other student. Wait- wasn’t she… the girl she had met at the Apothecary? The girl who couldn’t find the brass scales? The firstie who was convinced she would be a Slytherin? Gwen remembered some details, though she was unable to figure out one thing.
Errr… what was the girl’s name?
‘Melody, right?’, she eventually said. Why did it always take her so long to figure out names? Ugh. It was frustrating.

"Just asking." Melody shrugged at this she figured it was possible since she was Ravenclaw. The girl turned towards Melody. She blinked some, "Oh I know you... Gwen... I think that is your name... oh yes I'm Melody." She smiled. This was nice she was glad to see Gwen again. The Ravenclaw was nice to help her out on finding her school supplies.
"If you don't mind... why are you in the dungeon corridor?" She asked not fully thinking ahead that that could be an obvious answer.

Aspen considered her question, just the same as she calculated every question. Did she want to walk with her? Hmm.
Hmm...
"Yes. But don't keep the model talk down. That's what makes you... you." That and boys and kittens and the weird looks.
She pocketed her hands and turned towards the stairs. "I don't know who your boyfriend is at the moment." By the way. In case she should. Was it August, hence the letter? Hmm.

Taryn smiled. "Well, I did spend all summer modeling with Evolette McKenna in Miami." So she did have oodles of model talk built up. "I feel like we haven't seen each other at all this past year." It was almost true. Last term they hadn't talked much and Taryn had been away all summer.
She took up step with Aspen and laughed when the girl spoke. That was such a ridiculous thing to say! As if Taryn had so many boys she would switch between, or something. "August." She nodded, since about... a month or so after Valentine's Day, when Milton and I broke up." Actually it was April 17th. Yep. She knew THE DAY. It was a special day.
"I could say the same thing for you, you know." She had NO clue who Aspen was dating, or if she was even dating anyone at all.

Having seen the clue posted on the notice board, figuring it was some kind of scavenger hunt for the missing trophies and figuring out the answer rather quickly, Sky marched out into the dungeon corridor and immedately started searching for the next clue. To post on the notice board, of course. Because there was no sense in hiding it now that everyone knew about it. Besides, it might be kinda fun to work together as a house. And find those trophies before the other houses, of course.

Yeah, how could he didn't know that those THREE words are related to Dungeons? Because he's a Slytherin, and their common room was located there. Lucky that Peyton recognize that the answer of that riddle, who said Slytherin can't be as smart as Ravenclaw? Quicky the Head Boy ran from the Trophy room. Well, actually he didn't need to run. But he was just curious what would happen there, perhaps they would find one of the trophies?
Arrived at the Dungeons, Gary took a deep breath. Okay, did he find something strange? Nothing. "Did you see something?" he asked to Logan, and a girl (Sky) who was there too.

She was bored. Katrina Hudson was bored. The Slytherin fifth year decided to go take a walk outside at the Grounds so as to avoid getting really jaded and doing unproductive things. OWLs were drawing in and Kat was going to be prepared to face them. But of course she needed a break TOO. And the Hogwarts grounds was going to be her destination for today. Yep, if anyone wanted to join her you know.
Kat took a step outside her common room and looked around. Why were there so many students out? Squints for them. She saw the Head boy who didn't try out this term so boo there, her fellow teammate Logan, and another Slytherin girl (Sky) she didn't know. Kat approached the trio. "Garrett, Logan," she greeted the two people she was familiar with. The one she didn't know just received a nod. "The common room is there." Just in case they got lost or something. However they didn't seem to be lost, they were looking for something.
"Two knuts for what you guys are looking for." What's all the curiosity anyway?

With a puzzled look on his face, Daichi followed the other Slytherin's from the trophy room to the dungeon corridor. He didn't get why the answer on the parchment was this location but he trusted his fellow snakes and kind of like a lost puppy followed them in their trail.
Reaching the corridor, Daichi looked behind him to see if Sonea was following them because he had the feeling that she wasn't really sure what was going on so he decided to stick close to her and help her out whenever needed.
Hearing Katrina, Daichi raised an eyebrow. She didn't know what was going on?! "All the trophies were stolen from the trophy room" he said as he walked to the left side of the corridor wall. He touched the damp walls with his hands and slided over the bricks one by one. "Long story, but we got a hint that send us here"
"Sonea" he called from over his shoulder "Can you check that side of the corridor? maybe there's another clue"

Sonea watched how the other Slytherin students were leaving the Trophy room and followed them, realizing that if she would be left behind, she never would find her way back, she was lost after all. “Little princess, come and hide in my pocked” called Sonea and held her pocked open for her little friend and ran after the other student’s, leaving the trophy room. She followed Daichi because she knew him a little but she stayed a few steps behind him. She had really no idea what was happening and what she needed to do with the riddle, but she also didn’t wanted to confess openly that she was clueless about this whole situation. She was afraid that if she walked next to the prefect that he would talk to her about this and that she needed to answer.
She looked at Daichi when he spoke to her and nodded, realizing that she needed to search for something abnormal. She looked at the stone wall and bend down to look closer at the floor when she suddenly saw it! A big spider sad before her on the floor!
Eeeek!! screamed Sonea and jumped backwards. She bumped accidently against someone and fall on the ground. “Kill the spider, Kill it now!” Yelled Sonea at Little princess and looked ashamed up at the other students who ware in the same corridor as she.

One moment Ariana was looking up the wall trying to see the ceiling maybe there was more parchment waiting to fall up there and the next she was being bumped into by someone Screaming!? 'What the!?" Ariana said as she stumbled but caught herself on the wall as she watched the first year fall "Watch where your going! And it's Just a Spider Calm Down." really a spider.. in a magical castle... this child was CRAZY "At least it's not a man eatin plant or something it could be worse." it COULD so this girl just needed to chilllaxx "Hey Hudson." she finally said back to her friend. then she nodded at what daichi had told her "every single trophy.. gone... thought maybe we need to be in the common room but theres no harm in looking here first just in case." cause you know it COULD mean a corridor or something

While she was looking around for the next clue, Sky heard a whole group trailing down to the corridor. When one asked if anyone had seen anything yet, she piped up, "Not yet, but that doesn't mean this isn't the right place....." Returning another girl's (Kat) nod, she took another scan of the corridor, looking for any sign of anything that seemed out of place or just different........
.........until a new Slytherin (first year, by the look of her) shrieked something about a spider, that was. "SPIDER?! WHERE?! GETITGETITGETIT!!!!!!!" she screamed, running for cover behind Daichi when had he gotten so tall?!. She [I]was[/s] a Slytherin after all and spiders could be poisonous. And that was what she'd tell anyone who gave her any crap about it, too.

A piece of parchment flutters along the floor and scratches up against your leg. Don't stomp on it too hard please. It isn't a spider.

Cassia didn't understand why were they going to the Dungeons. But she still followed her friends because she had nothing to do. Maybe it'd be fun. Not that she cared much about the stolen trophies, her name wasn't on any of them so why bother.
But anticipating fun she followed her house-mates to the dungeons. As she stood leaning on a wall, she jumped hearing that there was a spider. She rolled her eyes at that, there were far more terrifying stuff in Hogwarts than a spider. Did only she remember last year's vicious plant?!
Stepping near to screaming Sky to see where was the spider, she stopped. "Look it's a parchment." She said pointing. And believe it or not, she was afraid of the parchment more than the spider. "Someone see what it has," Yeah she wasn't going to pick it up. Sky was nearer.

A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Daichi was still searching the wall on the left side when he heard a scream. Spinning around, wand at the ready, Daichi looked around to see who had screamed and saw Sonea lying on the ground. Had she hurt herself? Oh no, what if she had?! He was supposed to look after her and what if she was hurt..eeeek! he didn't want to get a speech!
But it turned out that a spider had scared her...a spider... Daichi knew that the girl didn't liked spiders, she had told him at the Lake. He pocketed his wand back in his wrist holster when he knew nothing SERIOUS was going on. like a man eating plant that was back again He did jump however when he felt someone standing close behind him and he turned his head to see Sky. She was afraid of spiders as well? Why was it that GIRLS were always afraid of spiders?
"A parchment?" he repeated as his teardrop shaped eyes looked at Cassia as she advanced towards him and Sky and looked down at the ground. "Could it be another riddle?"

With a frustrated sigh, Sierra Greingoth turned the corner. She'd somehow got away from the group and had no idea what direction they'd gone in. Since she hadn't really seen the clue, just heard guesses about it, she decided to try the dungeons first. Looking ahead, she saw Gary talking with a small group of people.
FINALLY.
"Sorry," she mumbled, "I got held up somewhere." In the trophy room, precisely. "So where are we? Is that a new clue, or is that the first one we got?" She tried to peer in to where the parchment was, but there was so many people gathered around. ...and what was wrong with Sky and Sonea?
Peyton was sooooo happy that she had gotten the riddle correct. She supposed she should thank Seth for that some time. He's been cracking her head with them and now she found that it was actually useful.
After she heard the Head Boy direct their housemates to the dungeons, Peyton had some trouble untangling herself from the crowd, that explained why she had taken some time to get here. "I'm here," she gasped after she arrived and stood next to Gary.
Yes, she knew her Head Boy's name. Would've been a shame if she didn't.
She noticed everyone staring at one snake in particular, so she asked the group in whole. "Is that another parchment? Is it another clue?"
Relieved she saw that Little princess had killed the spider and ran back to her. Quickly she opened her pocket and let Little princess in her pocket. “stupid spider!” said Sonea angry and stood up, trying to hide her embarrassment. She couldn’t believe that she had screamed in the presence from the others! What was she thinking? Why was she such a coward? “I’m sorry” said Sonea still embarrassment. She wiped the dust from her clothes and pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
“What is that?” asked Sonea and looked at the parchment who had appeared by a older Slytherin girl and wanted to know if it was a new clue. She also was relieved that the attention from the others was no longer on her. She stepped closer to the girl who’s name she didn’t knew and was curious what was written on the parchment.
