CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES!

BEAM!

Ella was more than excited as she made her way down to the lesson. This was her absolute favorite class and this was evident by the huge smile playing on her lips. Yup, she was ready to magical creatures it up.

"Hello Professor Newlin!" The blonde greeted with a little wave. "Hope you're well." Oh and she was the first one here? Figured. The little blonde plopped down on the nearest hay bale and tried not to bounce around too much. Class would be starting soon, yeah?

Woot! CoMC!

This had to be one of her favourite classes, simply for the reason that it didn't require much reading even when they weren't out and about playing with animals. Not reading was a treat, throw in animals and you had her sold!

She bounced her way to where the class would be, still feeling the sugar zipping through her from the chocolate frog she snuck right after breakfast. Good stuff. It took her a bit of wondering...and some side tracking to look at stuff she thought was neat but she found the class...er...well she found the Professor and Ella!

"Hello Professor!" BEAM. "And haaaai Ella!!!" The girl got a big wave before Lex turned her attention to the Professor again. "Are we meant to sit on the Hay as well?"

Jake's hand was holding Anya's as they walked down to class. They tended to go to classes together, mostly because Jake was worried that if he didn't take Anya, she'd skip them. And as a prefect, it was his job to make sure Gryffindor students went to class. This was purely business.

When they neared Newlin, though, Jake dropped Anya's hand. "Hey, Professor. How's your day going?" He took a seat on the nearest hay bail, waving to Ella and Lexa.

Oichi skipped off down the grassy hill to COMC. As she got closer to the classroom area she tried to slow down but could not. She tripped and rolled clumsilly right into a hay bale. She slowly removed her head from the hay and got up. She was happily surprised that she did not feel sore. She attempted to walk but felt dizzy and sat down on some hay. She was sure she would be in tip top shape after a little rest. Or that's what she hoped.

After the last lesson, Kendall really wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when she headed out into the grounds for the next COMC lesson. Theoretical lessons were nice, but it was much more fun getting to actually interact with animals, other than Professor Newlin’s coati. Even when that ended up meaning people spinning around in circles with firecrabs attached to them and everyone else was diving for cover. It was interesting, and she liked being able to actually see the creatures and take care of them, even just talk to them. That wasn’t possible when it was all hypothetical, so she had her hopes up. Maybe the lesson would be more like the normal ones, even if they still had people sitting in watching them. It was possible.

Of course, by that point she’d reached the spot where they were supposed to meet, and she noticed there wasn’t a lot around, aside from hay bales, the professor, and a few students. That didn’t necessarily mean anything, though, so she gave a bright grin to the professor as she made her way to a hay bale. “Hi Professor Newlin!, “ she said, settling onto a bale near her as Alexa had asked if they were supposed to sit on them. If they weren’t, she and Ella were going to get corrected soon enough. At least she could be comfortable for a while.

Okay. Seriously. Anya didn't skip Care of Magical Creatures. Ever. It wasn't necessary for Jake to drag her to class.

And yes. She was convinced that's what he was doing. Not having a pleasant hand-holdy walk to class. Because... ... ... okay. So maybe it was possible that that was what he was trying to do. The weirdo.

"Hello Professor." she greeted brightly. She then walked beside Jake and took a seat on the ground against the hay bale.

Alyssa shivered a little as she joined the rest of the students out in the pasture. It was good to be back for another Care of Magical Creatures class. She had missed working with the animals. Alyssa walked up to the Professor and greeted her.

"Hello Professor Newlin. It is good to be back in another Care of Magical Creatures class. " Alyssa smiled at the Professor before finding a bale of hay to sit on. She waved over to Ella before noticing Anya holding hands with Jake. 'Young Love.' she smiled to herself even as she felt her heart skip a beat when she thought of Evan. She missed him so much and envied the students who had their mates with them here in school.

She sighed and waited for class to start.

As Belle was making her way down to Care of Magical Creatures, she noticed the slight chilly breeze. Belle shivered and pulled up her scarf more to make her warm. Good thing she was wearing her gloves too....

Then once she saw the professor sitting in the hay, she gave her a warm smile. This was one of her favorite classes. She may consider working with creatures when she graduates. You never know. "Hello Professor Newlin! Lovely day we're having?" she asked her.

She sat down on the pile of hay as well. If the professor could, she could right?

Sierra had started her first year not really enjoying Care of Magical Creatures. She wasn't exactly a nurturing person, and caring for animals did call for someone nurturing. Now that she was a seventh year and about to graduate, though, things had...well, somewhat changed. She wasn't sure if it was the maturity or the offering of points, but she'd taken out a slightly better outlook about dealing with creatures.

As she got closer to the hay bale that the professor sat on, Sierra saw newlin slowly come into view. "Hello, Professor Newlin," she said, joining the class.

Another Care of Magical Creatures lesson. Jory always looked forward to them and this one was no different.

"Hi, good day, Professor,'' he greeted as he arrived. There were a few students there already. The Puffer spotted a free hay bale and made his way over to it and waited for the class to get started.

Yeah since this Care of Magical Creatures lesson was outside. Like always Asher decided to make it into his run for the day. He had to stay in shape, right? For quidditch. He ran all the way from the time he left the entrance hall.

By the time he got to where the class was he was tore up. "Hello Professor Newlin." he said windily with a smile. He went to an unoccupied bale of hay. He flopped down on his back. Yeah he was going to take up the whole thing. He may share if someone was special enough.

Care of Magical Creatures class was next. With Professor Newlin. Yay? Although Kat was exactly a big fan of this class, she was interested in learning loads of things. Expect if they had to listen to a song of a fwooper. Kat had bad memories about that one, last term. Either way, she'd have to pay attention to this class. CoMC wasn't an exemption to her OWLs and even if it was... nah, she was kidding. They just can't take Care of Magical Creatures out of the OWLs testing list. But still, fwooper problems. Ugh.

... Newlin must be crazy. Or at least, Newlin under the spell of the Fwooper must be.

Kat walked in and shot a smile at the Professor. "Hello, Professor Newlin," she greeted and then found a place to sit on. Another hay bale of course, where else would they be sitting? Kat went to sit beside Kendall, her year mate and K1. Then she waited for the class to start and for the late comers to arrive... if they even arrive you know.

She'd been crossing her fingers the whole way down to the the Care of Magical Creatures lesson, hoping they'd be working with real animals today. Hopefully cuddly soft, non-fiery or bitey ones. Pleasepleaseplease! When she arrived she greeted her professor, "Hi there Professor Newlin!" and with a big smile she kept her fingers crossed. No sense in letting up now that she'd gotten there and still had no sense of what the lesson would bring.

She took a seat on some hay near Alexa and waved hi to Ella as well. "Hey Lex," she said once she was a bit more comfortable on her hay bale. "I'm hoping for something with fur, or fuzz or something. How 'bout you?" You know, the pettable kind.

Wade arrived at his favorite lesson, lowly whistling as he walked toward where Care of Magical Creatures was held at.

"Lovely day, Professor Newlin." Wade gave his best smile for the very pretty Professor before finding a hay bale to sit on before class started.

Sarah wrapped her things around her warmly and wrapped her arms around herself as she headed down to the CoMC lesson. Yet as she got closer she moved her hands into her pocket. Shebroke into a run to warm herself up, yet by the time she got there she was boiling and feeling hot and bothered. She therefore sat down on her a haystack, and said "Hello Professor Newlin" in between pants. "I am really hot" she said to no one in particulat as she took off her scarf and jacket... Ah.. fresh air at last was penetrating into her. Gorgeous.

Mo was feeling particularly BOUNCY as he approached his Care of Magical Creatures gathering. Or maybe the bouncing was because it was kind of chilly? Were they going to stay out in the cold for the entire class period? Because that was okay, but he would need to keep moving. Mo continued to hop in place.

"Hey, Professor. Good day." Bouncebouncebounce.

Care of Magical Creatures.

Time to get all ewwy..well that is if they were doing ewwy animal things today. Trying to look just a little more enthusiastic about the subject than usual, Renesmee wore a small smile on her face as she made her way towards the grounds. She eyed everybody there, nodded at the Professor then added a greeting. "Hello, Professor." She nodded once more and then took a seat on the right patch of hay next to one of her favorite team members.

"Hey, kiddo." She gave Ella a smile. "Mind if I sit?" Because it was polite to ask and Nessie tried to be exactly that.

Minerva hurried to her class, she was cold, but what else was new for this time of year. Her mind was racing with all the studying and all the work she had been doing, she felt like the term was a blur. Walking past the professor and gave a smile, "Hello Professor" Then she turned smiling at a few of her friends she found a seat and got her things out to get ready for class.

Yes! Care of Magical Creatures. Ofim liked animals well enough. It was a bit chilly out and he wasn't digging that too much. Oh well. He made is way to where the professor was, nodded and found a seat

Ella smiled at Lex and giggled a bit at her enthusiasm. Waveeee. "Hi, Lex!" And then there were lots more familiar faces and those she knew got friendly smiles and waves. It was nice to know people. Mhm!

Oh, Captain Loch Nessie! Grin! "Course you can sit." She said with a smile, patting the hay bale next to her. The more the merrier. And y'know, Loch Nessie had to be the politest captain around.

It was COLD. Coldcoldcold. She felt more like a Alice-cicle than a student making her way over to the Care of Magical Creatures gathering on the grounds. The fourteen year old pulled her robes around her tightly as she approached her classmates, dropping onto a bale of hay and glancing around apathetically. It wasn't that she didn't like the class, because she did, since it didn't involve too much reading and that was always nice. The weather was just a bit chilly for her taste. Not as cold as the last AR or DADA lessons, mind you, but still not warm enough.

"Good day, Professor Newlin."

Ethan pulled his cloak around him a bit tighter as he walked down to the next CoMC class. Last time they talked about winged horses.. might they have a practical lesson on them this time? He hoped so..

The Ravenclaw boy walked into the class area and gave a nod in greeting to the professor. "Good day," he said with a smile as he walked past her. Oh.. they were sitting on hay today. Fabulous. He turned and spotted Minerva already present and he took a seat near her. "Hey.." he said to her with the hint of a grin, then he turned back to the front awaiting the start of class.

Time for another Care of Magical Creatures class. Which actually wasn't all that bad. This class was one of the few she didn't mind going to all that much. They got to be outside after all, and that was usually fun, even if it was a bit cold still.

"Hey Professor," Penelope greeted her as she reached her before going and sitting on a bale of hay near Alice and Sarah. "'Sup," she said to them as she plopped down.

West was quiet. His 'entrance' was quiet. He waved at the professor.

Quietly.

And then sat down near to Alice. Also quietly. Sup.
