It was very difficult to make the stone-walled rooms of a castle fabulous. Cheerful was nearly possible, festive was a distant possibility, but fabulous was impossible. Or nearly impossible, according to one Ellsworth Bott Toussaint, who never met a problem she couldn't solve.
Which was why the walls were hidden behind a gauzy white fabric that was gathered at the sides and top to give the feeling of being in a tented pavilion. To complete the impression that this was a garden party and not a classroom, each of the round tables scattered across the thick handwoven carpets had a ceramic vase of cut flowers as a centerpiece, and a long table along one side of the room held small sandwiches, a variety of chocolate and vanilla biscuits, and a steaming tea service. A second table was set up beside the first, this one with baskets of nail polish and lip gloss and other assorted cosmetics, as well as a tidy stack of employment applications.
If one would hold still, one would almost feel warm sun shining through the thin fabric over head. And was that bird song?
"Help yourself to snacks and find a seat with someone who won't distract you, please," Ellsworth called from her seat beside a table heaped in more gauzy fabric.
Time to go the first seminar of the term. She hoped that this time they got to work with fake blood again. THAT SEMINAR WAS AWESOME! But when she walked into the room and did not see any fake blood in sight. WHY?! There were pretty things everywhere, which were nice most of the time, but then she spotted a table with make-up. OH Merlin... was she going to make them do dress-up? Selina didn't wear make-up... hardly ever.
Walking over to the seminar person, kind of still upset about the lack of blood and the excess of make-up, she said, "Hello, ma'am. Afternoon." Now it was time to sit down... BUT AT LEAST THERE WAS FOOD. So she took seven biscuits, vanilla, and took four little sandwiches and started to nom. Food. Yum.

Lana was still up in the air about attending these seminars, but she was still willing to give them a chance. The last one she had attended wasn't all that bad and she did enjoy herself. Hopefully this one would be the same for her, plus it did give her opportunity to actually be a bit more social and see more people than her fellow 'claws.
Walking into the room, she stopped and blinked. It wasn't what she had expected. The presence of the white gauzy fabric kind of caught her off guard. It was pretty, but she wasn't sure how to react to it. She had kind of grown accustom to the stone walled that surrounded them. Perhaps the new feeling of the room would grow on her as well. It was a nice change to feel like there were not just in a classroom and garden parties were fun after all.
Walking further into the room, Lana spotted the seminar leader and smiled. "Good day, ma'am." Well she assumed she was the leader of the seminar. She was the only other person there beside the students.
Upon hearing mention of food, her eyes went right to the table to the side. Okay, she knew that she was going to like this seminar a little more. Heading over to the table and grabbed a four biscuits and four little sandwiches. She didn't want to eat too much and she did want to keep room for the tea service.
Nom noms first then it was on to tea!
Too focused on her treats, Lana hardly even noticed the makeup on the next table as she settled into a chair at one of the table.

Seminars. Meh.
Some of them were okay. Like, y'know, that one where everyone learned dance magic was kinda.. weird. Because Alice didn't enjoy dancing, nope. And then her Gramps' one— WELL, she loved her Gramps and stuff, but the lioness guessed his seminar was probably really boring. And then there was that one where they made stuff out of fruit and everyone got all sobby because they didn't have mothers. So, yeah. Seminars weren't really the best in her eyes, 'cause, y'know, ODD STUFF happened at them.
.. and this one had cosmetics. Alice should have left as soon as she saw that, but she didn't. Because there was food, too, and.. and food just cancelled everything else out. Obviously. "Hullo, Miss Lady," she greeted the woman. 'Cause, y'know, no one had bothered to tell her a NAME, so that was what she'd say. Biscuits. And tea. The fourth year DID help herself to snacks, mhm, she helped herself nicely. And then she went and flopped in a seat by her Mama Selina.
"You don't think we'll have to put that cosmetics stuff on, do you?" Please, no.

Amelia had first thought the seminar would be awesome - they had some cool ones recently. So she'd dragged her bestie with her and well - oooops. She just snorted when she walked into the room and looked to the boy who had walked into the room.
She just grabbed onto Kaiden's sleeve and pulled him into the room. "Look! They've got tea and cookies" she smiled over to Kaiden. "Oooh are those birds?" She asked aloud as she looked about the room trying to find the singing birdies. Birdies were super awesomely cool no?

Seminars. They were always interesting...
And this one looked like it was filled to the brim with cosmetics. But there was food. "Good day ma'am.", she greeted the woman. Since she didn't see a name anywhere the lady would be called ma'am whether she liked it or not!! Nerida helped herself to snacks... She loved the snacks! She took a seat at one of the tables...

Entering the classroom, Zoe thought it might be fun to go to a class that wasn't like any of the other classes taught. Something different! She still was trying to figure out where things were but was able to find this class easily enough. Find a spot with someone who wouldn't distract her? Pfft easy enough, as long as it wasn't Dan or aunt Cece she'd be just fine! And Dan only because she'd probably be tormenting him, rather than paying attention.
She really wasn't hungry so she skipped over the snacks and headed for a seat her long hair bouncing behind her.

He let her pull him further into the room. What were they gonna do in here? "Cookies." Kaiden mumbled taking another few steps into the room filled with girls. Err, "Hi." he said to the lady before he took the lead and quickly found a seat for him and Mika. If he was going to have to be here, he didn't want to be on display or anything.

Kaiden just let the girl drag him into the seminar thing because well, it was Miks, and she said it would be fun. He didn't even know what this this was supposed to be, but when he crossed the threshold, he just stopped, rooted to the spot. This place looked all girly, and not Kaideny at all. "Miks, I... don't think I'm supposed to be here."
He let her pull him further into the room. What were they gonna do in here? "Cookies." Kaiden mumbled taking another few steps into the room filled with girls. Err, "Hi." he said to the lady before he took the lead and quickly found a seat for him and Mika. If he was going to have to be here, he didn't want to be on display or anything.
Mika just let out a stifled laugh when Kaiden was protesting being at the seminar. See she had told him she was going to get back at him right? SHE just smirked and had a slightly evil expression play across her face. But it faded almost immediately.
"Hello" she too waved to the lovely Toussaint...it wasn't hard to know who that was. Not if you were a girl who payed attention to beauty-things. But Amelia didn't actually pay much attention yet.
"I love what you have done with the place" she smiled indicating to the fabulous looking draped fabrics.

Alyssa walked into the classroom. Another seminar and another guest Professor. Alyssa quickly walked up to her and greeted her. "Hello Ma'am. Welcome to Hogwarts. I like what you did with the classroom." Alyssa told her as she looked around.
FOOD!! Alyssa couldn't say no to that. "And thanks for the refreshments too." she thanked the Professor before walking over to fill her plate with snacks before she found a seat and sat down. She wondered what the nail polish and accesssories were for, but figured that she'd find out soon enough. So she settled in and started eating while waiting for the seminar to start.
SEMINAR TIIIIIME. And HELLO! Ellsworth BOTT was teaching this one! How exciting! Addy's cousin had given her many pairs of Neptune shoes and several other little odds and ends from Ellsworth's company. HOW EXCITING! Making her way into the great hall she smiled brightly at Mrs. Toussaint and said, "Good day! I'm Jacklyn Kennedy. It's an extreme pleasure to meet you Mrs. Bott- Toussaint!" And with a nervous flutter of her hands she made her way to a table near the front and sat primly, her quill and parchment out, FULLY CONCENTRATING!

Seminars were nice. Ella always learned something she didn't know before and this one, well there was food here. Total bonus, yeah? The blonde smiled as she walked past the unfamiliar woman upfront, greeting her cheerfully. "Hello!" Beam! This was going to be fun.
The fifteen year old then grabbed herself some tea and a chocolate biscuit and took a seat, offering smiles to those she knew who were already here. SIIIIP! Tea!

Ellsworth perked up considerably at the appearance of her very first (ever) student. And not an itty bitty student either, but the actual Head Girl, if that lovely badge could be trusted. Lovely badge... Ellsworth eyed the girl's red hair. Lovely girl too.
"Good afternoon. Please feel free to have as much to eat as you'd like."

And no... no one had to wear cosmetics. Those were a gifty.

Oh, recognized! How very flattering! Ellsworth had been featured in her fair share of magazine and newspaper articles, as she had a crackpot PR team, but it was wonderful that these young girls might already be familiarizing themselves with Ellsworth and her products. "I'm pleased to meet you too, Miss Kennedy."
And now to the task at hand? She stood and straightened her dress, suddenly feeling a bit shy about all this teaching business.
"My name is Ellsworth Toussaint. Some of you may be familiar with the company I co-own: Ellsberry, Inc. We create affordable beauty products for every witch, as well as a few other ventures... shoes, day spas, and occasional forays into fashion. I brought along some samples of our product lines, and you are all free to take as many as you can stuff into your pockets. For seventh years with an interest in charms or potions, I also brought employment applications for Ellsberry. We try to hire excellent young people who haven't already learned the bad habits associated with someone else's business, and we very often will assist with university costs for those who come to work for us." It was too hard to retrain employees who had already lost their creative spark... Ellsworth much preferred encouraging creativity and innovation in those still excited about the process.
"I'm sure you don't want to hear me speak about myself, but I view myself as both an entrepreneur and an inventor. Some of my favorite days have been spent stuck in a potions lab trying desperately not to blow things up before I manage to create something wonderful and new. We're going to talk about one of the potions I helped to invent today, but... are there any questions or concerns before I get started?"
Merlin, she was talking a lot. She needed a cup of tea and a lesson in moderation when speaking.

Samples? This woman had brought them food and samples? Sheesh...talk about knowing how to win people over. Could Ella hug her? That would probably be kind of weird, yeah? ...Oh well, the blonde was totally mentally hugging this woman as she sipped on her tea quietly and listened.
As for questions, Ella could think of a whole bunch but she decided to pick just one. "I was just wondering if you always wanted to work in fashion and beauty or if um...it was something you figured out after Hogwarts." The fifteen year old was curious because she was already thinking about what she might do when she graduated and it totally puzzled her.
Oichi was confused. She thought she walked into charms class and the professor was talking about beautifying potions. Oichi did not even like that sort of thing. She always liked her face just they way it is, gunk free. She raised hand, "Professor, what does beautifying potions have to do with charms exactly. And is this potion we will be talking about something that boys could use and possibly like too?".

Alyssa listened as the lady introduced herself. "So this is Madam Toussaint. I've heard about her. She makes lots of expensive beauty stuff." Alyssa thought to herself and almost giggled aloud when West asked out aloud whether they were also going to be making beauty products for man.
'Hey that is a legit question. Some men wear beauty products too to hide their wrinkles and the dark shadows under their eyes. Hey! even Capt Jack Sparrow wore eyeliner under his eyes.' Alyssa laughed to herself remembering that Disney character.

Now. Questions? Always. She always had those. "How did you stop blowing stuff up?" That seemed like a good question to HER. Seven cauldrons in total, all destroyed by this girl right here. "I find it very difficult not to explode things while working with potions, actually."
What? It was difficult. Strenuous, even.

Addy BEAMED at Ellsworth and giggled as she returned the greeting so warmly. She indeed knew who Ellsworth was since a family member was friends with Neptune and all. And well... aside from Addy's fascination with critters and such, she DID like to smell nice. HEHE. And maybe... she could see herself one day designing affordable, COMFORTABLE, pieces for the more tom boy side of young ladies, like herself... but they would still be PINK! Hehehe.
Oh dear mother of MERLIN... had she said APPLICATIONS? UNIVERSITY ASSISTANCE? This was like... a sign was it not? After all of the struggling Addy had done over her future this lovely lady was HERE. Raising her hand Addy asked, "For those interested in a possible position with your company, could we meet with you after the seminar to ask a few more questions about starting salary and the like?" Well she HAD to know if it paid well enough to afford the ridiculous flat she had been gifted. IF she was able to work there and all.
"Also, what would you say your best selling product is to date? And what was your inspiration behind it?"

The cool thing about seminars is that you get to see people other than the professors you see like everyday. With the same clothes, same look they have and sometimes Cassia could swear same moves around the class. So yeah she comes to seminars to see new people. And you know for information and stuff. And fortunately it seemed that this particular one was interesting. Because ladies stuff and Cassia was turning into a lady so yeah perfect timing lady Toussaint.
Nodding along as the woman talked and talked then talked some more. Cassia made a mental note to visit this shop that the woman said she owned. She might even become a customer, no one knows.
Questions.. The snake paused considering whether she had any questions and she found that the only question she had in mind was what were they going to do. But she figured that that what the woman was going to explain after she answered questions so nope, no questions.
The third-year glanced around listening to the other students' questions. Interesting questions..Though West's one earned a raised eyebrow..But anyway Cassia was curious to hear the answer to Hufflepuff's girl question. Because it made her curious. Oh and the following questions were interesting too. Why bother and ask when people around you could ask very good questions.

Penelope wasn't too sure about this lesson when she saw the make-up stuff, but she'd only noticed it after grabbing several biscuits and sandwiches, so it had sorta been too late to leave and pretend she wasn't here. So she had stayed and sat down by Selina and Alice, giving them both a little smile before chowing down on the food.
Quite soon, the seminar was starting. Ellsberry? That was the name of the shampoo West claimed he and Theo used since stroking her and Ella's hair, wasn't it? Penelope thought it was. Funny that they'd suddenly have a seminar with the lady who co-owned the company. Maybe it was a conspiracy.
But anyway, Penelope was a tiny bit more inclined to pay attention now. Just a bit. Because maybe this potion she invented would be cool. And maybe Penelope would take a few samples, just for the heck of it. She could always use new lip gloss and nail polish. Maybe. Wouldn't hurt to try them. So yeah, she'd grab one or two once the lesson was over. For now she just listened and ate her food. No questions here.

Violet walked into the classroom stopped briefly in the doorway taking a look around the room. It looked, rather different. Almost looking like, they were in a tent or something. The walls that were covered in this gauzy white fabric made it look, fabulously stunning! And VIOLET LOVED IT! A bright smile was brought upon her face as she immediately began moving again. OH! Just this whole set up of this room was amazing, right down to the-OH Violet gasped immediately knowing that whoever did this, was just an artistic genius! They were clearly trying to go for a garden party, and they had successfully done that! The room barely had even looked like a room! It was just so, ELEGANT!
She HAD to find the artistic person to create this splendor! And her violet eyes began darting from student to student. Until a voice had spoken over everyone. And her eyes immediately had gone to this beautiful young woman sitting behind a table covered in more gauzy white fabric. Violet studided her for a moment and couldn't help but think to herself, 'Why does she look so oddly familiar?' Violet was about to introduce herself, until the woman had introduced herself as-

...WAIT WHO!?!?!?!?! NO!! IT COULDN'T BE!!! WAS SHE REALLY?!?!
E-E-Ellsworth T-Toussaint?!?! THEE Ellsworth Touissant?!?! One of Violet's IDOLS?!?! Was actually in this school right now?! And she was in the same room with THEE Ellsworth Touissant??! Violet couldn't breathe, was the room getting hot? Why did she feel like the ceiling of the tent was beginning to turn? Violet was quickly beginning to feel light-headed. She began fanning herself with both hands, having a mini-panic attack. But she mustn't scream...NO...Not in front of THEE Ellsworth Touissant! What would she think of her, if she had done such a thing?!
In the midst of fanning herself Violet made her way towards this amazing talented woman and was immediately on her knees bowing her head, like a loyal servant or something. She lifted her head with some tears forming in her eyes and said, while still fanning herself,"M-M-M-Miss E-E-E-AHHHHHHH!!!!-" she quickly covered her mouth to stop the shrill shriek that had escaped her lips. OH DRATS....she screamed. She tried again, but still found herself very eager,"I-I-I-I am S-S-S-SUCH A B-B-B-B-B-B-BIG FAN of YOUR WORK! OH MERLIN YOU ARE JUST AMAZINGLY TALENTED! I USE YOUR PRODUCTS ON LIKE A REGULAR BASIS! IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A DREAM OF MINE TO MEET THEE E-E-E-ELLSWORTH TOUISSANT & JUST, HERE YOU ARE!!" She then covered her mouth with one hand and began fanning her eyes, for she felt herself being overwhelmed with emotions and was trying to dry the tears that were quickly trying to escape in her eyes.

Woot! First seminar of the term. Of course she was pumped for it because they were really cool and didn't involve hard learning that gave her a headache!
Lex watched the woman eagerly as she greeted everyone then began introducing herself but her face sunk more and more with each sentence the woman said.

Why in Merlin's beard would she care about any of that girly stuff? She eyed the door for a minute. It was too far...she would never make it without being seen. This meant she had to focus on the woman again. It was funny how a lot of people assumed that everyone knew them. As far as Lex was concerned she'd never heard of that company before and the woman was a complete stranger...who had people flailing...right...
Oh? They were talking about potions now? Okay. Maybe this wasn't so bad. She'd humour it all because of the talk about blowing things up and that meant she had a question. "How often would you say you blow things up and are the explosions like 'OH MY GOSH, HIT THE DECK' big or just 'cough cough...well that didn't work...' big?"

Anya was busy nomming on a sammmmmich when the lady person started talking. Shoot. ... she missed the lady's name. Maybe she could get away without having to say anything? She normally just addressed all her Professors as "Professor" so she didn't have to remember.

Oh. Did she have any questions? Yes. First off being... were those things up there up for grabs? Because Anya needed some new lip gloss.
But... she'd ask about that later.
She raised her hand. "Are we blowing stuff up?" Because, that sounded like a good time.
"And also... have these flowers got plans after the lesson?" Because... we wanted them. They would look great in her windowsill. Just saying.
