Spring has officially arrived at Hogwarts, which despite Professor Hadley's avid dislike of plants, you're greeted with subtle floral aromas when you enter the Arithmancy classroom that morning. But as you glance around, there seems to be no trace of any flowers actually in the classroom. It is then that you might take note of the open windows, allowing the fresh Spring Scotland air to infiltrate the classroom on the second floor.
It also then that you might also notice the absence of Professor Hadley at the front of the classroom. However, on the board behind her desk, you'll see her familiar handwriting scrawled across the board:

Ella smelled flowers, lots and lots of flowers. The smell was quite lovely and the blonde smiled as she stepped through the doorway to the classroom, looking around for the source. Ah yes, the open windows! Not only were they making the room smell like a bouquet of lovely flowers but the breeze was also quite nice.
Lovely Spring is lovely.
The one thing Ella did not see was Professor Hadley though her note sort of explained what the blonde was meant to do. She shrugged and headed over towards the windows, taking a seat and grabbing her notes and textbook. Class would surely be starting soon.

Third Arithmancy lesson. The two previous ones had been okay for Jory so he was looking forward to this one and hoping to keep up the trend.
When he entered the classroom, the first thing he noticed was the Professor Hadley was not there. As, he read the notice on the board, he became aware of the flowery/nature like scent. He eyed the open windows. The Puffer decided to go sit away from them. As much as he liked nature, it sometimes made him sneeze. He did not like the idea of sneezing all the way through the class.

Alyssa entered the Arithmancy classroom. Noticing Professor Hadley wasn't sitting at her desk, Alyssa shrugged her shoulders. That meant class hadn't started yet.
It was then that she noticed what was written on the Blackboard. She read it before making her way to the nearest desk and sat down. Taking out her journal, textbook and writing materials, Alyssa turned to the page in her journal where the calculations of her Life Path and Destiny Numbers were written on.
Then Alyssa opened up her textbook and began reading.

This was the last Arithmancy class, yes? No more number torture? No more sitting down for what felt like hours working through a problem only to discover it was wrong because she was off by '1'? She could live with that! Like legit she could. After this class she would be the happiest 12 year on the planet! It helped majorly that she had already had her last HoM class of the term too. YUUUP.
She practically skipped into the class, pausing only when she noticed that the Professor wasn't there.
How curious.
Her eyes fell to the board where there was a note most likely from the Professor. They would need their life path and destiny numbers. Right. Because she walked around with those in her pocket or somewhere close to the front of her mind. Mhm. Real Nice Professor.
She took her seat and tried working them out again. Might as well. No use trying to remember something that wasn't there.

For some sort of reason, Kat was kinda relieved that it was the last lesson for Arithmancy. She was never good with numbers, but the bright side was she did her best at it. That counted to her effort right? This lesson she promised herself to try harder so she could understand and get accurate results. Oh the things she'll do for her OWLs. And make people proud. Whatever. It was mainly because her future depended on her grades.
The Slytherin entered the classroom and saw no Professor. There was only a note left on the board. Another professor gone. Well... okay. Kat shrugged nonchalantly and went to find a seat. Her usual seat, to be exact.
Now she was gonna wait like the others. Oh boo. As for her Life Path and Destiny numbers, Kat had them. Kinda. Only because she was lazy to solve for them again. She can solve them later, with parchment or probably mentally if she could manage. Yeah. Wait... wait... waaaait...

It was the final Arithmancy lesson before OWLs. Normally, that wouldn’t have really hit Kendall, if only because she’d never really thought much about the subject before this term and her determination to survive it without having Vickers there to copy off of. Except for the fact she remembered the final lesson from last term quite clearly, even after a whole year. When it had instigated one of her biggest fears, it was pretty hard to forget. All she had to hope was that there wouldn’t be any dark mazes and acromantulas this time around, and therefore, her spirits had risen as she’d stepped into the classroom and smelled spring. Hopefully that meant nothing bad was going to happen. Although, the fact Professor Hadley was nowhere to be found was a bit mysterious. That still didn’t mean there would be any giant scary spiders.
Either way, she made her way to a desk as close to the open windows as physically possible. They were only on the second floor, so she could always try to escape if anything looked suspicious. Until then, she’d just do as the note on the board said and review stuff. Except for the part about the life path and destiny numbers, because she still had those in her notes from the last lesson. Honestly, she still was curious how often siblings shared the same life path numbers. She kept forgetting to ask that question, or see if she could locate any books that would answer that question for her. She did scribble the question down in the margins of her journal amidst some random sketches that she had done at one time or another when she’d been completely confused, though, before she ended up just flipping to a new page and starting a new sketch. At least she was being quiet, which was good behavior as far as she was concerned.

Yay, another last lesson of the year! Though Sky wasn't too excited about OWLS coming up. But after those, was summer. Which meant New York, barbecues, trips to the ocean and most importantly, no school. So, it was understandable that she was smiling was entered the classroom. The first thing she noticed was that the window was open, allowing the smells of spring to waft into the room. She took a deep breath, her smile getting wider as she inhaled the scent and looked around the room. And noticed that Professor Hadley wasn't there yet. She read the board, though and took a seat, looking for the parchment that she had done those particular calculations on.

Anya headed into the arithmancy classroom. Weirdly enough, she actually enjoyed Arithmancy. That could be because of the math aspect. It was weird to her to not study the subject.
She looked around to greet the Professor. Not seeing her, Anya shrugged headed toward an empty seat.
Once she took a seat, she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. Mmm. Spring. She adored spring.
Her eyes then scanned the board and she busied herself with getting her notes ready.

Upon entering the Arithmancy classroom, Peyton's nose wiggled at the aroma. It was pretty. She let it guide her deeper into the room. Flowers was one of her favorite things about Spring, and the pretty smell.
Taking another sniff of the air, Peyton made her way to an empty desk, shrugged her bag off and sat down. She took out her notebook and a quill. She was ready to tackle Arithmancy today. She wanted to take home good grades and show them to her dad and brother. They'd be so proud of her and reward her with tons of ice cream.

Third and last Arithmancy lesson, yeah? That was both a relief and not a relief. Relief because it was the last time they'd be dealing with the confusing numbers for this term but at the same time it also meant that OWLs were essentially closer now than it was before.
Sigh. That thought was depressing as it was comforting.
Stepping in, Beezus smiled a bit as the floral scent of the outside wafted throughout the classroom. Okay, that was a really good start. She loved flowers. And she liked their Professor despite the subject that she taught. Although, where was the woman? Throwing a glance at the front informed the Ravenclaw that Professor Hadley wasn't there just yet but she saw what was on the board and nodded.
She descended into a seat, wondering if she had her notes on her Life Path and Destiny Numbers. .....Oh, good. It was there. Then she turned to her side and noticed who she was seated with. "Hey, Lexa." I owe you sweets, right? "Do you know where Professor Hadley is?"

Alec stood by the door, looking around at the classroom. Although, the smell didn't seem to be coming from an actual flower in the room because... well... there weren't any flowers in the room. Instead, the windows were open. Awesome. This meant that summer was around the corner, right? And with summer came... LOTS OF ICE CREAM. GRIN.
Shaking his head, Alec took a couple more steps into the classroom, ready to greet Hadley with his usual grin. Because he liked seeing that Hadley was there! She's Hadley, you know. Who didn't like her? ... Except... the woman wasn't there either. Maybe she was going to make a grande entrance later. With a CAPE!
... No capes.
Pretending that walking past Hadley's empty desk was his intention all along, Alec walked over towards an empty desk near the front of the class and sat down, letting his bag drop to the floor under his desk. His grey-blue eyes found the note on the board and he read it over... twice. This was their final lesson of the term? Really?! And the Life Path and Destiny numbers bit... sure, he probably had those in his journal. Somewhere. The Hufflepuff reached down and took out the items he needed, his eyes occasionally flicking over towards the door, just in case Hadley burst in.
But she didn't yet. And he was ready. The boy sat back in his seat, humming very softly along to the song that was stuck in his head.

Last Arithmancy lesson of the term. Hopefully it'd be fun. Or at least just not super boring. They usually weren't though, so Penelope wasn't really worried.
She entered the room and was prepared to greet Professor Hadley...but she wasn't there. That was fine too. Just meant she could find a seat faster. After a quick glance around the room, she took an empty seat by Anya. "Hey," she greeted her friend with a smile before proceeding to dig through her bag for her Arithmancy textbook and notebook. She'd be needing those, mhm.

It was scary to think that next year this time it would be the last lesson ever, but no need to think of such scary things just yet. A year was a long time anyways, wasn't it? And you could make it drag, that's what the soon to be seventh year planned on doing.
Her bag placed neatly on her shoulders, Renesmee entered the Arithmancy classroom smiling at the smell of spring in the air. She had always enjoyed summer over winter and to smell that it was on it's way made her really happy inside.
Turning to face Hadley's desk she remained smiling till she realized Hadley wasn't there, thats when her smile turned into her usual pout. Where was the Professor? Was she in the wrong class? No couldn't be there were other kids here and writing on the board. Aaaah. Alright then she was in the right place.
Nodding at a few kids, Nessie found a seat, sat down and stared outside the window with the smile from before back onto her face. Spring, it was so lovely.

"Hello Professor Hadley" Oakey said with a smile as he entered the class with his parchments in hand that had all of his previous work from last lesson on them. He took in the smell of flowers quickly and looked around to find none in the room. She wasn't about to spring deadly plants on them in this lesson was she? After last years Curse Breaker Final Oakey was ready for anything in the final classes that Hadley would teach.
He set his things down on a desk at the front of the class, and removed a quill from his bag.
Messer never really good with Arithmancy or juggling with numbers but he's here nonetheless. The last Arithmancy class for this term. The forth year was greeted by flower aromas as he entered the classroom but he couldn't spot any flowers in the classroom. That's weird. He just shrugged it off and went off to find himself a seat.

Eliza took a big breath of the sweet Spring air that filled the Arithmancy room as she took her seat. As she looked for Professor Hadley, she found only the note on the board instead. She flipped through her notebook to the right page from last time and left it open on her desk as she reviewed her work while she waited for their professor to arrive. Funny how they can be late to class and we can't. Though I guess the party can't really start until the host is there, right?

She had just gotten through re-working her life path number when she heard a familiar voice. She got straight to grinning as she looked over at her new company. "Hai Bee!!!!" BEAM. She glanced back down at her parchment for a minute. The other calculation could come later. She probably still had a lot of time before the Professor showed up anyway.
Which brought her to answering the question.
"Umm...no idea actually. You think she might be off trying to do some painting like last class?" The woman seemed to like it enough the last time she saw her.

Did he get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning or what? A very grouchy Ethan made his way to the Arithmancy classroom for the last class of the term. Once inside, he noticed that Hadley was nowhere to be found.. instead there was writing on the board in her place. A quick glance at the words and he turned to find a seat, one preferably in the back corner. Finding his preferred seat, the grumpy boy sat down, not bothering to open a book or his journal. Hopefully class would start soon so it would be over soon.. or be cancelled.

Elise really hadn't quite been herself for a while now. It was probably all the pressure of the OWLs that were fast approaching and the many nights that she really just couldn't sleep. The nightmares weren't helping very much, either. So with circles under her eyes, Elise made her way to the Arithmancy classroom. Professor Hadley wasn't there yet. Strange. The Arithmancy professor was always early for these sort of things.
Taking a seat near the middle of the classroom, Elise read the instructions on the board. They were supposed to calculate their Life Path and Destiny numbers? Rummaging in her bag for the piece of parchment that she had copied all her core numbers and their calculations on, it took her a while to find it. She should probably rearrange her bag soon.
Setting it on her table, Elise let out a little yawn, quickly covering her mouth. Maybe she'd nap before Professor Hadley got there.

For once (or maybe wasn't the first time? Time sort of blurred together after awhile), Hadley was running late. The short brunette hurried towards her classroom minutes after realizing she was about fifteen minutes past when she was meant to start the lesson. She was never THAT late.
She briskly entered her room and shut the door behind her, breathing a sigh of relief that no one had decided to leave that she knew of and offered an apologetic smile. "Sorry I'm late. But .... I have your graded homework assignments with me. Well done, most of you. I'll hand them back at the end."

Ooooooooh... Hadley was LATE? Kat did not know why she was smirking mentally. Like... it's kind of like the first time a Professor was that late. 15-ish minutes late you know. Less than 10 minutes late was fine, but this was something.
Anyway it was on with the question. Kat was a hundred percent SURE with her answer, but it was worth a shot right? At least, the last statement of Professor Hadley did sort of match with the description on the textbook. The Slytherin had her hand up. "Cycles, Professor?" Kat said. "Major Cycles to be exact..." Yep, she didn't really trust Arithmancy textbooks unless the Professor wrote it. She liked accuracy and stuff. No technicalities and anomalies and whatever those defects are. Although sometimes the Professors made mistakes. She'll have yet to know.
Well anyway that was her answer.

It was a good day...A good one for numbers. Truth be told, Dylan wasn't too much of a fan of this Arithmancy businses...but it'd been kind this term...So.
As he sat in his seat waiting for class to start, the Slytherin vaguely wondered were Professor Hadley was...The woman was usually always present when they entered...Last lesson, she'd been painting at the front of the room...This time, there was just a note.
Meh. Well, his materials were ready to go. Life Path and Destiny numbers were worked out and defined on the parchment in front of him, book, quill, and parchment off to the side...All was ready to go.
SPOILER!!: Professor Hadley
For once (or maybe wasn't the first time? Time sort of blurred together after awhile), Hadley was running late. The short brunette hurried towards her classroom minutes after realizing she was about fifteen minutes past when she was meant to start the lesson. She was never THAT late.
She briskly entered her room and shut the door behind her, breathing a sigh of relief that no one had decided to leave that she knew of and offered an apologetic smile. "Sorry I'm late. But .... I have your graded homework assignments with me. Well done, most of you. I'll hand them back at the end."
Walking collectedly toward the front of the room, she turned to the face the class when she reached her desk. "Today, we're going to be talking about a predictive set of numbers, used to help you along your life path and in achieving your destiny. I suspect you all have your life path and destiny numbers in front of you." Because if they didn't, they better be good at speed calculations. Glancing around the room, she nodded. "Right then, any idea what this predictive set of numbers might be? Feel free to use your textbook to help you...."
Oh. There she was.
"Hello, Professor. Nice to see you." He casually greeted before getting down to business.
Flipping some in his textbook, he looked for this perdictive tool she'd been talking about...and then Hudson was offering the answer. Hmph. "Yes. What Hudson said...Major Cycles are used. There's a first, second, and third."...because he'd found the chapter and was reading. "Each based around the month, day, and year you were born. Respectively."
