So Gwen decided go to class in time now and not run like mad in the last five minutes from the Ravenclaw tower to the ground floor, and, obviously not risk arriving late. Eh. Though, with her usual hasty steps, the sixth year made her way down the stairs, not thinking that she may arrive too soon. Ah… why did it have to become a habit to run in order to get in time to classes?…Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. With this thought in mind, Gwendolyn made her way along the corridor, until she found herself stopping in front of a door.

Time for Apparition.

GRIN.

‘Hello’, she greeted the woman as she stepped in the room. The sixth year then gave a quick look around, noticing the many colourful circles on the floor. Hmm.

"Hi, there,'' Jory said to the woman when he entered the room. He looked around and spotted the hoops. As well as the table full of sweets. "This is going to be fun!'' he thought as he looked around for any of his friends.

And he saw Gwen and made his way over to her. ''Hiya, Gwen!'' the Puffer said.

Alyssa was excited to hear that the school was going to be holding the Apparation Practical Testing. She made her way to the room off to great hall and walked in. She looked around and saw a Ravenclaw student and another woman in the room.

Then she looked at what was on the floor. Rows of hoops and a gray covered mantle with candy of all kinds on it. Alyssa greeted the woman with a smile, "Good morning, Ma'am."

Alyssa then stood aside and looked at the hoops. 'So I'm guessing we're going to be apparating from hoop to hoop. Well at least it's not giant lily pads.' Alyssa thought to herself. As she waited for the others to arrive, Alyssa reviewed what she had learned in the two Apparation classes she had attended this term.

So was this all "of age" student wizards at Hogwarts or were they just naturally tardy that it was expected they were to show up at least half an hour after the designated time?

If they wanted to work in the Ministry upon graduating then this kind of practice was a definite no-no. It was......disappointing. Or maybe these kids were just taking this exam for granted? Oh well, on the bright side (ugh, she hated bright things) of this, if only a few showed up then she would be finished early.

Thing was that today she wanted to see many students splinching themselves give off many licenses.

Fanning herself with her hand a bit faster, she said, "We'll wait a bit more." Just A BIT. So those wanting to obtain their Apparition license should hurry and show up.

OOC: We'll give the others a bit more time. *wink*

Ethan had a really long night and, because of that, had overslept. But he was not going to be late for his Apparition testing and he hurried down to the Great Hall after quickly getting dressed. He didn't feel like he had gotten enough practice and was still a little unsure, but he really wanted that Apparition license.

He wasn't technically late, was he? Ethan knew he was running late.. but thought he was still on time. There was hardly anyone here yet, but the very impatient look on the Ministry lady's face made him think he was tardy. Oh well.. not much he could do about it now. He was here and wasn't that what mattered?

He gave a small smile to the Ministry person and said, "Hello." Then he turned and joined the rest of his classmates, giving them a "Hey."

ASDADFGHJKL!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparating...again. The most scariest thing to Nessie as of late, but she would over come the fear because she was determined. She had been trying to think about how to better her apparating skills in her spare time and a lot of ideas came to mind. Like for one, temptation. Maybe if there was something tempting her to apparate it would help? If that even made any sense. Another idea of hers was to only allow herself to think of happy things when she did apparate, of course she had to have the three Ds of apparation in mind, but happy thoughts was a good thing, no? She thought it was. As for the other ideas she think of them too, but now she needed to look presentable.

Putting a smile on her face, the Captain fixed up her uniform and entered the room off the great hall. She took one deep breathe and then nodded and the new lady."Good morning, Ms." She did a half curtsy, giggled a small giggle at how silly she must have looked and then stood with the others, breathing as much as she could.

Apparition again.

Oakey was determined now more than ever to get this right. Even if he still hated the way this travel worked more than by portkey,or by floo powder. He'd always prefer his broom to anything else.
He came in and looked across the room past hoops laying on the ground. You didn't need to be a Ravenclaw to know that one would have to apparate across those hoops to snack down on what sat on the table past the obstacles. But you had to be Oakey to not like any of the prized treats. "Hello", Oakey spoke to the Ministry lady in the room with them, then stood beside Renesmee who looked to be deep in though about the whole thing. Oakey decided against saying hello to his captain afraid that he'd break her concentration.

Bringing her hands together, she clapped three times and faced the students.

She wanted their attention now. "Hello," Gah. She hated good kinds of greetings. "Firstly, I am Eliza Tohsaka from the Department of Magical Transportation and I will be your proctor for today on both your written and practical examinations." Have they studied about what was taught to them during the first two sessions? They better have. "If you fail either of the exams, you won't be receiving your license and would have to reapply at the Ministry during the summer or whenever it is convenient for you." Or you know, next term if the school and the Ministry agree to have this here again.

"So, let us start." With that, she pulled out her wand, flicked it and out of thin air a large round table appeared, immediately followed by chairs situated in almost precise distance from one another around it. Eliza brandished her wand once more, conjuring the test booklets, each paired with a quill and this, sat in parallel with the chairs. There was only exactly one for each of them. "Alright, you may now take a seat. You are given approximately thirty minutes to answer and as soon as you are done, you may proceed to that side." She pointed towards the starting edge of the hoops. "..,to have the practical portion. Instructions on how we are going with that part of the exam will be explained when you get there." Understood? That was easy to comprehend, right?

"Please be reminded that we take the apparition side of things very seriously so do not cheat." Not that they could anyway. But still. "Questions? Clarifications? If there are none then you may begin."

Alyssa sat down in a chair as instructed by Ms. Tohsaka and listened as she gave her final instructions. Taking a deep breath before slowly letting it out, Alyssa picked up the quill and opened up her test booklet. She read through the questions first to make sure that she understood each of them, before she proceeded to write down her answers.

When she was done, Alyssa reviewed her answers over and over again, making corrections to her answers until she was finally satisfied with them. Putting down her quill, Alyssa got up from her chair and handed over her booklet to the proctor. She then walked over to the starting edge of the hoops and waited for further instructions.

Alyssa hoped that she passed her written portion. If she didn't, then there wouldn't be any need for her to even attempt doing the practical portion, and that would truly be disappointing.

Sierra nonchalantly gazed up at the woman as she began speaking. Psh. Whatever. This woman worked for HER father. What was she going to do--fail Sierra? HA! Sierra smirked at that very thought. Basically, it was either give me a license or Daddy will have your job.

...or so she'd like to believe it was that way.

Once all the seats and test taking materials were out, Sierra took her seat and got herself pumped up to take her test. She had this one in the bag. With that, she dipped her quill in ink and began the test.

Jory listened as the woman spoke. He was sort of getting a bit nervous now. Anything involving tests, mostly theory, made him nervous.

He took a seat, picked up the quill and booklet and got to work. He spent time on each question, making sure he chose the answer he thought best and in the case of the written part, he formulated his answer in his head repeatedly before writing it.

Once done, the Puffer handed up the booklet and proceeded towards the side of the hoops that Miss Eliza had indicated.

Theory bit of the exam first then? That suited Nessie quite alright. even though the butterflies in her stomach were only growing, she knew it was better to get the written work done first in case something did happen during the practical, but nothing would happen. She refused to let something bad happen.

Like everyone else the red head took a seat and began working on her answers. She found most of the questions real easy and did blank out at any questions. It was simple, easy to understand and in thirty minutes she had completed it all.

After checking her answers one last time, she got from her seat and waited by the edge of the hoops, looking at the obstacle course with only nervousness showing through her eyes.

No questions…, the sixth year thought as she listened to Ms Tohsaka talk. So Gwendolyn walked over towards one of the chairs and took a seat, ready to begin the theoretical part. 30 minutes… Hmm… that seems to be enough, she told herself, but her thoughts were interrupted as she heard the woman say they could begin.

Taking the quill in her right hand, the sixth year looked at the first question. It was useless to read all the questions first, and then write the answers, or at least Gwen thought so. The Ravenclaw decided not to lose any time and start writing. Once she was done with everything, Gwendolyn looked through her answers once again before handing the booklet to Ms Tohsaka.

And now the practical part.

Gwen walked over to the starting edge of the hoops and waited silently.

Belle had no questions...she was ready to take the test. She wanted her apparition license so bad. She wanted to prove to her parents she can travel. But then again she will need to ride a car in the muggle world soon too....

She will need to take a road test. That will seem hard.

Belle focused her attention on the test. Belle checked her answers. After checking them three to four times..she handed them in. Belle took a deep breath and handed it in to the woman in charge. Belle waited by the edge of the hoops and was nervous but she knew she could do it.

And that was thirty minutes! Time's up. And every one of them had finished answering before even the time allocated for their written exam. Good, good. None of them weren't holding her up. This seems to mean that this session will go smoothly.

As soon as they were gathered on the starting side of the hoops, Eliza cleared her throat. "We'll begin with the practical portion now. What you need to do is just simple." Really simple if they put the 3Ds in mind. "As you all can see, there are four columns," Ideally, it was designed that way to accommodate each House but as there were only a few of them then she was going to allow them to pick a random column so there would be fair distribution. "...which means four people will perform at once. Each of you will have to apparate from one hoop to another." As there were three, then they'd have to apparate thrice.

"When you reach the last hoop, step out and proceed to the red line. You will then have to stand on that border line and apparate to the long table." That was basically it. They could to the left or right or center of the table long as it was in front of it. And if they were wondering about the treats that laid on top of the table, "You bunch are lucky by the way, when you reach the table and successfully finish, you can take some of those.....sweet pieces in fancy wrappers." Or whatever it was they liked to call those.

And she wasn't done talking just yet. "Important points to remember, apparate to the center of the hoops as much as possible. When standing at the red line, toes meet the line, not the heels." What else? Oh! Eliza smirked. "And good luck not to get yourself splinched."

With that, she conjured a clipboard from her wand. "I'll be situated at the area between the red line and the table to observe and grade each of you." Almost instantly after she said that, Eliza apparated to that side and faced them who were on the opposite side again. "Four persons will go first. Begin."

OOC: I'll need at least two posts. One for apparating from hoops to hoops. And one for the line to the table. No need to wait that there are four of you, just carry on and assume that you guys took turns. Don't forget to take sweets at the end! And PM me if there are any questions. :3

Just in time.. Ethan had carefully thought over his answers for the theoretical portion of his exam. Not that they were particularly difficult, he just really wanted to make sure he passed so he could start apparating on the first day of summer break. And not have to wait to retake it whatever day they may or may not be offering the testing at the Ministry.

And once he had finished it was time for the practical portion. This part made him a little more nervous because he wasn't sure he had gotten enough practice - oh, and the splinching possibility part too - but he knew he had to be confident to pass. And confident he would be.

He listened to the instruction Ms. ...whatever her name was gave and he walked over to one of the columns. This didn't seem too hard - just apparate into the center of each of the hoops, then from the red line to the table. Just don't get splinched.

Completely focused on the center of the first hoop, Ethan moved his right foot slightly forward and to the right as he turned tightly on the spot. He felt an odd twisting sensation, that he remembered in his practice, as if his body was being pulled from the inside out during a very brief moment of darkness. Once his surroundings came in to focus again, the 17 year old first noticed the vague sense of nausea he still seemed to get after apparating and he quickly looked himself over to make sure everything was in tact. Good.. no body parts missing. He looked down at the floor and saw that he was inside the hoop, but not exactly in the center.. probably a little closer to the edge than to the middle. Not perfect, but not too bad, he thought.

Next hoop. Again, Ethan concentrated solely on being in the center of the second hoop. Taking a deep breath, he quickly moved his right foot slightly over and tightly turned on the spot. The twisting and pulling motion was felt by the boy again, this time making his nausea a bit more profound. Once the darkness cleared, Ethan again did a quick body check, pleased to see everything where it was supposed to be and looked down to see where he was standing. Still slightly off-center, but but still inside the hoop and a bit closer to the middle than he had been the first time.

Last hoop.. he could do this. Ethan took a minute to try to settle his stomach. No need to go splinching himself at this point and completely fail just because he wasn't feeling well and losing concentration because of it. He closed his eyes and took a few, slow deep breaths. Once he was ready, the Ravenclaw opened his eyes and focused his gaze on the center of the third hoop. All at once, he slid his right foot over while quickly turning tightly on the spot. Feeling his body twisting and pulling - along with a bit more nausea - Ethan peered around him as the movement stopped and his surroundings came into focus. Body parts in place, check. Center of the hoop, check. This time he was dead center. He had to smile to himself even in spite of the sick feeling in his stomach. Almost done..

Alyssa listened as the proctor gave them instructions on what they needed to do for the practical portion of their task.

Did it mean that she had passed her written? Surely she must have or she would not have been allowed to proceed with the practical. Breathing a sigh of relief, Alyssa looked at the row of hoops in front of her. All she had to do was apparate from one hoop to the next and then the next. It sounded easier said than done and Alyssa knew that.

She concentrated on getting herself into the first hoop in front of her. Alyssa focused her attention on the first hoop.. She looked at the center of the hoop. She visualized herself standing where she was, and then disappearing from here and instantaneously appearing there, standing inside the center of the hoop. Here...There..Here...There...

Closing her eyes as she visualized herself moving, Alyssa moved her left foot back and turned on the spot. She felt that now familiar feeling of twisting into nothingness.

.....POP!!....

...and the next thing she knew, there was a popping sound and the twisting sensation stopped. Alyssa opened her eyes and looked down. She was standing in the first hoop, albeit a little off center, but close enough. She immediately checked herself and breathed a sigh of relief when she found that she hadn't splinched.

Now for the next hoop. Alyssa focused her eyes on the second hoop and like before, she visualized herself disappearing from where she was currently standing and instantaneously appearing standing inside the other hoop. Alyssa held on to that image, concentrating as hard as she could. Here...There....Here....There...

...Moving her left foot back, Alyssa turned on the spot again. She felt the feeling of twisting and falling into nothingness...and then...

......POP!!....

The twisting and falling stopped and Alyssa slowly opened her eyes and looked down at her feet. She was standing in the middle of the hoop. She quickly looked to see whether she had actually apparated into the second hoop or was still standing in the first one. She smiled when she saw that she had indeed moved. Inspecting herself to make sure that she was all in one piece, and glad to see that she had not left anything behind, Alyssa looked up and at the last hoop in front of her.

The red border line was so close now. 'Okay Alyssa you can do this. Just two more times and then you get all that candy.' Alyssa told herself, a grin breaking out, when she thought of Alec and how much he would appreciate having some that. But first she had to get finish her tasks.

Pushing that thought from her mind from her, Alyssa looked at the third hoop in front of her concentrating on the center space in it. As like she had done apparating into the first and second hoops, Alyssa concentrated on what she wanted and needed to do. She visualized herself standing where she was now and then disappearing and immediately appearing standing inside the third hoop. Here...There...Here....there...Disappear from here....and now I'm there...

Concentrating as hard as she could and keeping that visual image in her mind, Alyssa moved her left foot backward and quickly turned on the spot. She felt the familiar yet weird sense of falling and twisting at the same time....she was falling into nothingness.

....POP!!.....

A popping sound...and then the feeling disappeared. Alyssa slowly opened her eyes and looked down at her feet. She was standing in the middle of a hoop. But was it the third one? She quickly glanced up and looked behind her and counted.

One...Two...YES!! She had indeed apparated into the third one. She slowly examined herself. Not feeling any pain didn't mean that she had not splinched. She could have left a piece of her shoe or clothing behind. When she made sure that she hadn't splinched, Alyssa glanced over at the second hoop to confirm that she indeed hadn't left anything behind.

When she saw nothing, Alyssa breathed a big sigh of relief. She had successfully apparated herself from one hoop to another. That challenge was over. All she had to do now was to complete the last one.

Stepping out of the third hoop, Alyssa walked over to the red border line and toed the line.

BREATHE! JUST BREATHE! BREATHE! BREATHE! BREATHE!

For a few moments the red head just stared at the obstacle course deciding it was better she did NOT go first. The obstacle looked simple, if you had to jump through it or walk through it but apparating just made EVERYTHING terrifying.

Happy thoughts. Happy thoughts. That's what she needed to think of. Closing her eyes, Nessie continued with her deep breathing and thought of good things, things such as her little brother at home or her Tommycat. Happy thoughts that's all she needed.

Reaching her turn, she breathed deeply one last time then opened her eyes eyeing the hoop she needed to apparate into. It was a purple hoop and that made her feel just a little bit better. Purple hoop. Focus on the purple hoop. Right. She could SO do this. She wasn't the Lochnessie for no reason!

Destination! Determination! Deliberation!

With her eyes closed she pictured the purple hoop. "One.." she began whispering to herself. "two...three!"

*POOOOOOFFF!!!*

She had just apparated correctly under pressure...no MAJOR pressure. That was quite an accomplishment for her. Yes she had barely made it into the hoop, but she did..even if it wasn't the exact middle. She was a proud puff, alright?

Alyssa stood behind the red border line with her toes touching it. All she had to do now was to apparate from behind this line to a place in front of the table covered with candy. Alyssa picked a spot somewhere down the middle of its length.

She took a couple of deep breaths slowly letting them out to calm her nerves. 'We're almost there, Alyssa. Just one more obstacle to cross.' Alyssa told herself. Eyeing the spot she had picked out, Alyssa concentrated on moving herself from where she was standing inside the hoop to that very spot. She visualized herself standing there. She visualized herself disappearing from the hoop she was currently standing in and immediately appearing in front of the table.

Keeping that image in her mind and concentrating really hard on what she wanted to do, how she was going to do it and where she wanted to be, Alyssa moved her left foot back and quickly turned on the spot. She felt the now familiar twisting and moving into nothingness...

....and then........POP!!......

Those feelings disappeared and Alyssa quickly opened her eyes and found herself standing in front of the table. She quickly turned around to make sure that she hadn't accidentally splinched and left behind something of herself and breathed another sigh of relief when she saw that the hoop was empty. Quickly examining herself to make sure that she was unhurt and whole, Alyssa grinned. She was okay. She hadn't splinched.

Her grin became wider when she turned back to look at the table in front of her. Alec Summers was going to love all this candy. She filled both her hands with candy, before dropping them into the pocket of her robes.Then she turned around and waited.

Had she passed? Only time would tell.

Belle knew this time would come. She was about to prove she could apparate. Belle could do this. All she needed to remember were the three D's. Destination, Determination and Deliberation. Belle took three deep breaths..."BREATHE, BREATHE, BREATHE!" was all she could tell herself.



She saw her first hoop. Belle was nervous but she knew she could do it. She focused and breathed and imagined herself in the first hoop. In the center of the hoop. It doesn't matter right now if the professor was watching.

Belle took a breath, and was focused on the first hoop. Belle twisted on the spot and felt the sensation.

"POP!!"

The she felt herself twist and then once the spinning sensation died down, she realized she was near the end of the hoop. She was not near the center but she was near the end of the hoop. She was not nearly concentrating as much as she would like to...Next hoop Belle's...next hoop...she told herself.


The second hoop. Belle stared it down. Her nerves were dying down. She was more focused on it. She focused being on the center of it. Belle took a deep breath and said "Destination, Determination, Debilitation..." Belle focused and then twisted on her right foot..then

"POP!"

She felt the sensation again and was going into the darkness. She was starting to feel sick but she would not let that stop her. Belle opened her eyes and she was standing in the center O___O. Belle did it! The second times the charm. Belle was proud of herself. Her chest swelled with pride. She wondered if she would be that successful in the third hoop. NO! Do not doubt yourself Belle.


The last hoop.....Belle could conquer this one. She grinned at it. She knew the professor was watching. She did not care. She got the hang of it. Belle focused on the center of the hoop. She drowned out all her other students. She practiced that in yoga when she did it with her mother back home in the muggle world. Belle was calm. She took a deep breath. All She focused on was the center of the hoop and being in it. She was focused on her location, she was determined to do it and she knew she could do it.

Belle twisted on her right foot....she felt the last spinning sensation that made her queasy....


"POP!!"

Then once the sensation stopped and she turned around...and opened her eyes. She realized she was in the center again! YES! Belle was happy. Her practicing with her family members paid off. Belle was smiling and once she was done, she went over to the table and stood on the red line.

She still preferred to ride on a broom though. She did not like the nauseating affect apparition had on the body. Belle put her head between her legs to get the feeling off.

Jory listened to the instructions. "Easy enough to follow,'' he thought. But making sure he had apparated in the center of each of the three hoops would be a challenge.

Never the less, he stepped up to the first hoop and concentrated, keeping the three Ds- Destination,Determination and Deliberation in mind. "Center of hoop,'' he kept reminding himself. The Puffer stepped back on his on his left foot then turned on the place where he was standing. There came that familiar uncomfortable twisting feeling. Feeling suffocated, Jory waited to apparate into the hoop...or somewhere.

And then there was that popping sound and he opened his eyes and looked down. He was standing in the hoop, alright. Just not in the very center. A bit to the left. "Well, there's two more hoops to correct that.''

He closed his eyes and concentrated on the next hoop's center. And another turn. Followed by more uncomfortable feelings. And then another pop. The boy opened his eyes. Yes! This time he was in the center! "One more to go!''

He repeated the steps. When came the usual popping sound, he opened his eyes slowly. It would be a bummer if he apparated somewhere other than the hoop after being successful with the first two. He looked down. Center again! He checked to see if he was intact. "Yup, all good,'' he decided left the hoop and to the red line where he stood, touching the line with his toes.

Just one more task and he would be well on his way to getting that apparition license. Or at least Ethan hoped. He still had to be graded on his exam and practical.. and hopefully he did well enough to pass.

Still feeling rather nauseous from apparating to the hoops, Ethan stepped over to the red line, toes just barely touching it, and he crouched down a bit putting his head in his hands. He just needed a minute to settle his stomach before apparating again. The Ravenclaw took a few deep calming breaths then straightened up at the line.

Green eyes swept the length of the table as he focused on picturing himself arriving right in front of it. Ethan did his best to mentally shut out the other students apparating around him so as not to be distracted. When he felt he was ready, he slid his right foot a bit as he tightly turned on the spot. Again, he felt the familiar twisting-pulling sensation and a brief moment of darkness as his body was transported - hopefully where he intended and completely intact.

He slowly took in his surroundings. He was standing in front of the table.. good. Then he looked down at his person.. everything seemed to be there.. even better. He turned and looked back at the hoop he had previously been standing in. Nothing left behind.. perfect. But he still felt another wave of nausea, this one building on the last. He needed to go lie down or something.. But first he could grab a handful of the sweets..

"One last hurdle to get past,'' Jory thought, feeling determined. He was going to pass this. He really didn't care about the candy, all he wanted was to apparate to the table without any problems.

He made sure his toes were still touching the red line. "Okay, let's do this,'' he said to himself his eyes fixed on a spot in front of the goody table. "Destination,Determination and Deliberation!''

The Puffer moved his foot back and turned on the spot. He squeezed his eyes shut and tried to ignore the unpleasant feeling that came with apparation, he kept his mind on the spot in front of the table. Then came the final pop. Jory opened his eyes and looked around. He had done it! He was standing right where he wanted. And he had not left any part of him behind.

He breathed a sigh of relief. "Made it through in one piece!'' And without any problems, too. Jory grabbed some of the candy and stuffed it into his pocket before turning to watch the others.

One down, two more hoops to go.

This wasn't so bad, right? All it needed was some getting used to, then it would all be completely normal. The thought of being able to travel almost anywhere in a matter of a quick poof made Nessie smile. Things would be so much easier once she got it right. There wouldn't have to be any asking anyone to take you anywhere, she would just have to simply poof and she could be where she wanted to be and even when she wanted to be there.

So back to the second hoop then? The Hufflepuff eyed it trying to go back into concentration. Destination. Determination. Deliberation. And that navy-almost-black hoop in front of her. That's all she needed to think of at the moment. She stepped a little more into the center of the hoop she was in already and then with all the concentration she could find stared at the hoop before her.

One. Two. Three....The chocolate frogs looked really good on the other side of the hoops.

She counted inside her head and attempted to poof, except nothing happened which may have been because she got distracted near the end. The young Dixon shook her violently bright red hair and then attempted to focus again.

She could do this. She believed in herself and knew all it took was focus. She recounted to three in her thoughts and continued thinking of the center of that hoop as she apparated with her eyes shut tight.

*POOOOOOOOFF*

Opening her eyes the red head looked at her feet and smiled as she was now standing in the exact center of the second hoop. Perfect.
