Gabriela Schultz stood at the front of the room off the side of the Great Hall, dressed in her fanciest outfit and ready to begin her lesson. She was definitely nervous and she ran a hand through her wavy blonde hair with an anxious sigh. She definitely was still angry at Hogwarts after the catastrophic event that was her son Tucker's sorting--Hufflepuff, what a travesty!--but that didn't mean everyone else should be deprived of her awesome teaching skills.
Behind her was a chalkboard, and she had her wand at the ready. There were rows of chairs in front of her, although those would be gone shortly. She hoped these kids knew what they were getting into--and so help them if any of them talked or said something sassy to her!
ooc: Lesson will start in approximately 7ish hours. Gather round and get excited!!!

Alyssa was sooooo excited. Finally she would be getting her license to Apparate. She had learned the basics while she was back home in Salem last term, but she was glad to be attending a proper Apparation lesson. Alyssa entered the Great Hall and noticed a woman waiting for them to arrive.
She quickly walked up to her and greeted her. "Hello Ma'am." Alyssa smiled at the woman. Then she looked around and found a chair. 'Should she sit down or not.' Alyssa thought to herself. She decided to wait to be invited to do so.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
APPARATION!!
Daichi had been waiting for this lesson ever since his fifth year. He had turned sixteen during that year and he had hoped that he could have taken the lessons during rhat time. But due to reasons unknown to him there were no classes scheduled at that time.
And now, an year later , Daichi found himself entering the room with the biggest grin on his face. He seemed to glow with excitment~! "Hi Ma'am~! Welcome to Hogwarts!" he squeaked, the big smile still stretched on his face. "you have a nice looking outfit by the way~"
This was going to be fuuuun~! ...now he needed to find a place to sit...

Oh and.. "hi Alyssa"
Alyssa turned around when someone called her name. She smiled and whispered back, "Hi Daichi! Are you excited as I am? I can't wait to properly start apparating." She told him.
Apparitions...Merlin knows I need to get a little better at it... Elektra thought as she walked to this lesson just thinking how this lesson was going to be, but eh, it was worth giving it a shot. Even though she could apparate for about a year now, she still needed A LOT of practice. As she walked into the room she looked over at the professor and said, "Hello." then walked to a seat in the second row and sat down leaning back in her chair just looknig around the room realizing she hasn't been in this room out of the seven years that she has been here. Taking a piece of her raven black hair in between her fingers and began to twirl it waiting for the lesson to start.

Ohh! Apparition!
Sierra had been excited about this class for a while now. She was seventeen, which meant as soon as she learned what she was doing, she could apparate by herself. She'd been traveling via side-along with her mom and dad for years. Now, though, she could do this all by herself!
She cast a glance at the professor, and a look of realization crossed her face. "I know you," she said. "You work with my father." She grinned and added, "Sierra Greingoth. It's cool to meet you." She didn't stay a second longer. She wasn't that interested in this woman. She took her seat and waited for the lesson to begin.
Spike was pretty pumped for apparition class. He'd been disappointed when the option hadn't arisen last term, since it would have made travelling to and from his summer job all the easier. Of course he had even more incentive to pass quickly now. The sooner he could travel to France in the holidays, the sooner he could go visit (annoy?) Indy at school. He missed her, and wanted to see all the things she kept writing to him about. She certainly made it all sound very exciting.
He gave the instructor an excited grin, and slipped into a chair in the middle row. He was so up for this.
Ethan headed down to the room near the Great Hall, somewhat excited for the Apparition lessons. Apparating was really cool.. he did it quite often as a side-along with one of his parents, and he couldn't wait to learn on his own. And being that he'd be 17 in just a couple months, he was glad to see that lessons were being offered.
Though he was excited, the sixth year was still slightly worried about one aspect of Apparating.. namely splinching. He knew he still wasn't the greatest with wand magic, so that risk was very much at the forefront of his mind. Still.. he wanted to see what the classes would be like.
The boy greeted who he assumed was a Ministry official with a smile and "hello", then turned to find a seat. There were quite a few people there that he at least recognized and he gave them all a friendly smile as he walked past, then gave Spike a grin as he slid into the seat next to the prefect.

Violet made her way into the classroom. Apparitions. Yes, Violet was seventeen now. And yes, Violet was old enough to apparate. Only problem, Violet hadn't really tried it yet. Maybe, because she was actually a little afraid to do it. Of course, she'd done that with her parents and family members, but never by herself. And just the thought, made Violet fearful. Which was why she was here today! To finally start learning to apparate! And be the big girl she was supposed to be!
She smiled politely towards the Professor and made her ways towards her. Violet the bowed her head in a very ladylike manner. She then said brightly,"Good day Professor.." she smiled once more before turning on her heels to go and find a seat. Her violet eyes lit up when she saw Elektra Draven already sitting in a desk AND in class! She smiled eagerly and shuffled in her heels towards the girl sitting beside almost immediately. She whispered,"Hii Elektra.." Violet suddenly was beginning to feel a lot better now that Elektra was here with her for this lesson! Would definitely help keep Violet a little level-headed.

Gary had never been so excited like this before. Why? Because now he attended apparation class. Yes, apparation! He already turned seventeen last March and that meaned he was ready to apparate. If he could apparate, he was able to visit his uncle in Canada as often as he wanted.
He entered the classroom and spotted there's a woman standing in front of the class. Well, he didn't have any idea who she was. Perhaps the apparation instructor? "Hello... Maam." said the Head Boy politely. He walked to the seat and spotted there was an empty seat beside the female Snake prefect. "Hi, Sierra. Do you mind if I sit here?" suddenly he asked.

Apparation! Jory was looking forward to this. Excitedly, he entered the Great Hall. There was a woman there, maybe the instructor? "Hello, Ma'am,'' he said politely.
The boy saw some chairs and decided to have a seat while the others got there.
It was a scary word for any seventh year right? So scary that Nessie could barely even think of it in her thoughts, nevermind speak it aloud. She was afraid of learning how to use this form of transport and if it wouldn't have been something that would save her so much time in the future she wouldn't have even bothered. Of course soon it was going to be very useful though and maybe soon it would even seem easy.
Shaking just a little bit, the red head entered the room of the great hall. "MarningModame..I mean Morning, Madame." Her words got jumbled up.
Feeling a little embarrassed and a little more nervous she took a seat near the front and was ready to attempt concentrating. She wanted that licence of hers, no matter how frightening this was going to be and the more focused she was the quicker she would possibly get it.
Pout. Her thinking face was on and she was in focus mode.

A GREINGOTH! She'd heard that the Minister's children were at the school and had hoped one would show up. Well now the stakes were much higher for HER. She had to make sure that this girl gave stellar reports to her father and praised the new department head. Who knows? This could be a stepping stone to even BETTER things! Eep!!
"Good day Miss Greingoth, pleased to meet you," she grinned at the young girl. She nodded and said polite hellos to the rest of the young children, and after she'd been waiting for five minutes past the posted start time, she knew now was as good a time as any to move on.
Gabi would have preferred a...well, a better turnout but this would just HAVE to do. There were probably a few stragglers who would be walking in at any moment, but there was no need to wait for them. If they were going to be late they obviously weren't worth her time and their chances of passing were probably awful.
"Hello students. My name is Gabriela Schultz, but you can call me Miss Schultz," she said with a smirk. She began to pace in front of the chairs, looking at each student in turn with her piercing blue eyes. Sizing them up, if you will. Would they be able to handle the exam at the end? Would they? WOULD THEY? "I'm not a professor, just a Ministry official, so Miss Schultz will do just fine," she added. As they would all learn, teaching and handling little brats was NOT really her cup of tea. The only reason she'd agreed to do this was to make herself look better and they were all of age, or nearly of age...not bratty first years.
"This is the first in a series of three lessons that will prepare you all for the Apparition Exam. First things first--if you're not of age or will not be of age during this school term, leave now," she told them. She paused to allow any students who had dared try to deceive her time to leave before moving on. "There will be, as I said, three lessons. The next two will be taught by two of the chief examiners from the Office of Magical Transportation at the Ministry. In the past, the final exam--where you get your licenses--was held at the Ministry, but to make it easier for everyone, the third and final lesson will be a time for you to attempt to pass your apparition exam. Your test results will then be mailed to you and you'll know if you either passed or if you need to retake the exam." But honestly, if they didn't pass the first time they really had no business trying to apparite because clearly, they weren't very good at it.
"Today we're going to start with just the basics. Please raise your hand before speaking and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me," she said. "Now, what is apparition?"
ooc: I am so sorry this took me almost 24 hours AFTER I said it would start to actually start! I'm student teaching right now and yesterday was so exhausted, I literally passed out at 7:30 PM haha. So, sorry about that, and on with the lesson!

Alyssa thought for a moment before raising her hand. "Ma'am Apparition is the ability to magically and instantaneously transport oneself from one place to another. It's not as easy as it seems because if one loses concentration there is a possibility of splitting or splinching your body into parts."

Dylan was here! Yes, yes...he had been all along, of course...and no one could prove otherwise. Truth of the matter was that there was no way he was missing this lesson. The Slytherin had been waiting for this for TOO LONG.
Apparation license. Yes. Totally happening.
He sat back, trying not to let his enthusiasm show too much. He was a sixteen year old boy and a Captain. That type of happiness wasn't normal...So, he attempted to just be chill and loose. Going with the flow. Not jumping up to immediately answer questions and whatnot.
Ahem. When she introduced herself, he smiled appropriately...refusing to beam like an idiot at her. "Mrs. Schultz..." Contain yourself, boy. "...It's a form of magical transportation."...which everyone had already offered..."Most people almost always vomit the first time they try it." Not that he cared. It would be worth it.

So, she's a person from Ministry. Perhaps she's the apparation instructor? Maybe. Gary just sat and kept silent until that woman asked them about the apparation.
"Apparation is the way to travel by magic by using the focus on the desired destination." he answered.

Daichi was about to open his mouth to say something back to Alyssa when the Instructor began the lesson so he quickly closed it again. He gave the Hufflepuff an excited nod nod nod to show what he wanted to say and listened to the first question.
Meeting the woman's piercing eyes, Daichi stared back as if it was a game of not blinking and when she looked away to the next student he grinned ...cause clearly he had won!
"Apparition is a magical way to transport from one place to the other in a second" or maybe longer..he didn't know.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
What was Apparation? To Oakey it was going to be just one more annoying, and dangerous form of transportation. Brooms were the only way to go for him. Portkey's and Floo Powder wore him out a few summers ago. "Apparation is when you need to concentrate on a certain location in your mind, and ummmm...When you think hard enough and well enough You pop to there?"
Oakey had a gut feeling that this was going to be extremely difficult for him.
Of age? That she was..recently..like this month which was scary. She had barely been seventeen for a day yet here she was learning how to splinch apparate. Gulp. She was so not ready for this!
Breeeathe just breathe. That's all she could do for now as this Miss Schultz went on and asked them all a question. What is apparation? Ness knew the answer, but the real question here was, was she able to answer with her nerves all crazy?
Worth a try, yes?
She raised her hand politely waited her turn and then eventually words came out her mouth. "App..Apparation.." That word was still scary for her to say. "Is when you poof from one place and appear in another." More breathing because it was highly needed.

"Good. Glad to know you are all aware of what you're signing up for," Gabi said with a smirk. "Now, as some of you said, it's not just a matter of blinking and ending up wherever you want to be. There is more to it than that...but we'll get to it in just a second."
"Now, the biggest risk one obviously faces when appariting is splinching. The more you know about it, the more you can prevent it. What IS splinching?" she asked them, tapping her heel as she scanned them with her eyes.

Alyssa raised her hand. "Ma'am, splinching is the separation of random parts of one's body when one's mind is not sufficiently determined. One must not lose concentration on their destination and must move, without haste, but with deliberation in order to successfully apparate to where they want to go." Alyssa paused realizing that she was using the technical description of what splinching was about.
So she rephrased herself. "Basically splinching happens when a witch or wizard apparates or disapparates and loses concentration while doing it. When this happens, part of his or her clothes or body is left behind in their former location.".

Dylan was totally in the zone for this lesson...Gah, excitement! He looked around at those with in in the class and smirked. It was a good turn out...but the presence of Oakey Gunter was discerning. Wherever Oakey went, danger was sure to follow...
As long as he kept some distance...Dylan would be safe from any Gunter-mishaps.
Splinching...Raising his hand, the Slytherin shrugged. "It's when you don't concentrate appropriately and you leave parts behind." He needed an example. "I remember my uncle apparating once and leaving two fingers behind..." Of course, his uncle was a bit...special in the head.
