Ella had forced herself to come to this class for reasons. Reasons having to do with trying to be brave and such. She smoothed her uniform before walking through the door and took a look around, spotting Professor Lafay talking to a ba- O__o A baby? That was...different. "Hello Professor." She greeted with a faint smile. "Hello there." She cooed to the child. And yes, she was a total sucker for babies. Cute things got her every time.

Making her way quietly to a seat towards the back, the blonde took out her parchment and quill and began twirling and untwirling her hair absently. Nope, she wasn't nervous or anything. Not at all.

Violet made her way towards the Dungeons. Today was Potions. And hopefully Violet would be able to hold herself together better than she did in Charms. That was just, not a good day for her, emotionally at least. And if she was worried about crossing Professor Bellaire, she REALLY didn't want to cross Professor Lafay. Again, it wasn't that Violet didn't like Professor Lafay, she had actually grown to become of her favorite Professors over the years..with just a very assertive..and strict touch.

So she made sure that her uniform was in proper order, as well as her hair, before she made her way into the slightly chilly classroom. A slight chill quickly ran up her spine, but she shook it off and put on her bright smile. Violet noticed that she had been the second to arrive to class today, which felt a little strange to the seventh year, being so early. Well, actually it had sort of made sense to Violet, especially since she had had another nightmare last night. It had haunted the girl enough, to make her practically RUN out of her dorm this morning.

As she was making her way towards Professor Lafay, she had noticed a little baby girl playing with a mini cauldron, without a care in the world. It made Violet almost have a flashback of her little sister Rosalie when she was that young. But she quickly shook her head, trying desperately not to think of that right now. She had to stay strong. Violet brushed some of her hair away from her eyes and approached Professor Lafay. She blinked and smiled, then bowed her head politely. "Good Morning Professor Lafay.." She then added on,"I hope you are doing well..And.." she looked towards the little girl playing with a smile. "And she is beautiful Professor.." Violet smiled once more before bowing again, then turned on her heel to go and pick out a seat towards the middle front of the class. As she was about to choose a seat, she gave a quick wave to Ella, who was sitting towards the back of the classroom for some reason. She placed her things neatly on her desk and then crossed her legs, sitting proper as always.

Violet then began to play with the ends of her hair a little bit as she sat there waiting patiently for other students to arrive. Every now and then her violet eyes would scan over towards the little girl, then she would quickly look away, not wanting to cry again. She breathed slowly, and then tried to keep herself calm. No crying. Not today.

Sarah walked in to potions... she generally found potions stressful yet she walked in anyways as that was what any lioness would have done. "Good day professor!" she said. Then her eyes llit up when she spotted a baby. "Oh CUTE!" she cooed rushing over to the baby. "Hello gorgeous girl!" she cooed... "You are so cute.. I want to eat you up!" she said. She then did a quick peek a boo. This must be the professor's baby. 'Professor is this adorable child yours? What a sweety! Sierra is so lucky to have a younger sister... I wish I had one, yet I am the second youngest and the youngest is one year my junior. Yet my brother and sister in law did have a baby this summer!" Never did Sarah think she would speak to Lafay like that yet that baby melted all barriers.

Wade walked in through the door, immediately greeted by the sounds of a caudron banging. His eyes immediately went to the cute toddler playing with it, softening at the sight. She was adorable to Wade, "Hello Professor," Wade greeted before publicly acknowledging the Professor's child while smiling. "She is quite lovely, Professor." Especially when she cried out for her 'mama'.

He walked towards a seat near the back before letting his bag sit down beside him. It was nice walking back into a accident-free classroom.

With a excited smile on her face she entered the classroom and looked around her. The classroom was exactly as she had expected and she was curious what would happen next. “Hello professor” said Sonea with a friendly nod. She didn’t know what to expect from this class but she liked the idea to be good in potions, you never knew when it would be useful to know how to made them.

Not sure if it was allowed to sit down she stood next to her seat and watched the professor, remembering the class she had followed before and where she needed to wait till the professor had told the class to sit down. She looked a little uneasy around them, trying to see what the other students were doing, especially the older students who knew what they could expect here.

The second potion lesson, Daichi was ready for it!

With his school bag hoisted over his shoulder, the Slytherin dressed in his school uniform was making his way through the dungeon corridor and entered the Potion classroom. The room looked normal, not out of the ordinary.

"Hello Professor Lafay" he greeted with a polite smile and turned to go to a seat when...he saw the baby. The Prefect GASPED loudly and even clapped his hands excitedly. THEBABYWASSOCUUUUTE~! In a second, Daichi was standing in front of the baby. He crouched down and started to make stupid faces in the hope of making the baby laugh. "Professoooor~ she's so cute! can i pick her up and...and can i play airplane with her?!" You know, like holding the baby in the air and fly around like woooooosh! pleeeeease?

N'AAAWWW!

Alyssa walked into the potions classroom and the first thing she saw was the most adorable baby girl ever. 'This must be Professor Lafay's daughter.' Alyssa thought to herself and as she walked past the baby who was happily playing with her mini cauldron, Alyssa leaned down and whispered, "You're a cutie aren't." she waved at the baby before smiling up at Professor Lafay.

"Hello Professor. You have a very beautiful baby. She's adorable. Looks like she's another potion mistress in the making." Alyssa smiled down at the baby as she continued to play with her cauldron.

Smiling to herself, Alyssa looked around before finding an empty workstation. Taking out her potion kit, journal and writing materials, she got everything ready before she sat back and waited for class to start.

Potions.

Alec was not looking forward to this class at all. It was... well... Potions. Potions was just hard and he didn't really understand this subject without the help of his bro. Speaking of, the dude was coming right? Alec stopped in his tracks and looked towards his left and his right at the corridor he was standing in. ... Nope. No sign of the snake dude.

... Shrug.

The Hufflepuff continued walking over towards the classroom door. He readjusted his grip on his bag, walked through and... stopped. There was a BABY in here. A baby banging a cauldron against the floor and... did Lafay know there was a baby in here? ... That was... a stupid question. Oh! And the baby was talking gibberish! But... one word he understood from it was the word 'mama'. ... Right. That was... sweet, yeah.

And Alec was not feeling slightly sad about this.

"Hello Professor," he said, giving the woman a small smile before looking down at the baby, "She seems really awesome, Professor. Erm... congrats?" If that wasn't the most awkward way to address someone's baby, he didn't know what was. And... greeting the baby as Baby Professor Lafay was probably not allowed. Nope.

Alec gave the baby a smile before heading off towards a table close to the back of the classroom. He rummaged in his bag for a while, taking out the necessary items before letting his bag drop down to the floor beneath his desk. Okay... he was ready. And VERY nervous. But mainly ready.

So...Potions...yeah...

Lex walked into the classroom, bag thrown lazily over her shoulder and took a look around. She always did that just so she could know whether the Professors were present at the time or not, but she never thought to look out for a baby...uh-huh....

Well, babies were cute, usually. The only one she never took a liking to was the one currently at home. This one, however, was adorable and especially so since she wasn't her little sister. Yup. That made just about all the difference in the world so she dropped her bag off at her table then made her way over to the ickle cutie.

"N'awwwww! Look at chu! So cuuuuute! Hi, I'm Alexa. Can you say Alexa? A-Lex-A." What? She was fairly good at the whole 'Mama' thing, Alexa shouldn't be too far off. Wait...Mama...OH!!! She turned quickly and gave a nervous wide smile to the Professor. "Hello Professor!" And there was a beam of apology for not greeting her immediately. Now then. Back to the baaaaaby. She continued gushing and cooing over the little girl, completely forgetting that she was here for a Potions class.

Jory walked into the classroom just as Professor Lafay was speaking to the baby who was playing with a little cauldron. "That has to be her daughter,'' he thought. Ariadne the Professor had called her. That was his girlfriend's name. And he missed her as he hadn't seen her in a while.

"Good day, Professor,'' the boy said with a smile. "Hello, there,'' he called to the baby and waving. Aw she was so cute.

Jory looked around for any of his friends and spotted Alyssa. He made his way over to her and slipped into the empty workstation next to her. "Hiya, Lyssa.''

A baby was the first thing that Ethan's eyes landed on as he walked into the Potions classroom. Was Hogwarts turning into a daycare center? Not that Ethan had anything against children, he really didn't, but Potions was probably the last class that would be appropriate for a toddler. Not only was there all kinds of dangerous things that she could get into, but he required concentration in this class of precise measurement and he wasn't sure he was going to get that with the noise the baby was currently making as she banged the cauldron off the floor.

But, as it wasn't Ethan's place to comment on Lafay's lack of childcare, the 17 year old simply placed a smile on his face as he walked past, nodding first to the child, then to her mother. "Good day, Professor," he greeted her before turning to find his usual seat. Hopefully focusing wouldn't be too much of an issue today, he thought as he sat down and pulled his supplies form his bag.

Potions. Jolly.

Peyton dragged herself to potions. Actually, dragged herself. After last potions lesson Peyton was a bit skeptical about it. Don't get her wrong, she learned a lot...but the smell and the ickiness...she couldn't do that.

The snake reminded herself that she HAD to do well. There was no other choice. Be great or gone home! And she didn't want to go home.

She entered the classroom and blinked when she saw a baby? Wait...she was seeing properly, right? Peyton rubbed her eyes. Yep. There was a baby. Right. There.

Okaaaay. "Hello, Professor Lafay," she said, setting her bag on the same desk she occupied last time at the front. "I hope you're having a nice day." She really, honestly did. Oh, and the baby. "Hello, little baby." Babybabybabybaby! :3

Packing up his bag, Dylan started making his way to class. Potions! Obviously one subject he was particularly inept in. It was tedious work, of course...with its procedures and steps...but the Slytherin enjoyed that. It allowed his mind to rest...and instinct to take over.

Stepping into the room, the Captain didn't pay attention to his surroundings as he slowly walked to the workstation he normally sat at. Familiarity. Of course, the last time Dylan had been in this room, he'd been vomiting violently in the corner waste bin.

Total embarrassment.

And..........Huh?

Ahem.

"Professor Lafay. It's nice to see you......." but he hadn't been looking at her when he'd said. Instead his gaze was fixed on the...baby...

A baby in a potions lab. This was something new.

Mo couldn't help but give the baby-thing a wide-eyed stare as he entered the classroom. He'd grown up around potions and it seemed a very unsafe thing to have a baby in a dungeon lab. Very. Unsafe. But West said Lafay wasn't bad at all, even if Vivi said she was a waste of perfectly good air, and Mo was inclined to believe West would never lie to him.

Soooo Mo would just make his way to his seat silently, offering up a very polite, "Good day, Professor," as he took his seat. And he refused to look at that baby-thing.

Oh boy. Sky couldn't decide rather she was looking forward to this class or not. After all, it would be the first Potions class she attended since coming back to Hogwarts. So, it was with trepidation that she walked into the classroom. Really, the only thing that she knew was that Lafay was still the professor, having not heard about the professor's odd illness last term or that she'd had a baby. So it was a shock when she saw the professor playing with a baby. Lafay with a baby?! Had the world turned completely upside down?! And could life slow down with the crazy surprises now?

Anyway, the not-quite-as-young-anymore Slytherin greeted the professor with a "Hello, Professor Lafay. Cute baby. What's her name?" Yeah, she knew there was risk there, asking about her personal life, but it could also be considered a polite question, right? Either way, Sky hurried to a station, and prepared to duck if need be.

Sierra walked into the room expecting to see it just as it always had been. She noticed a few eyes on a certain area of the room and following the gazes, she saw her little sister. Aww, she hadn't known Ariadne would be here. She dropped her bag off at her usual work station the headed to the area her little sister sat in.

Sierra crouched down on the floor, kissed the little baby on her cheek, and then smoothed down her beautiful, brown hair. Time to get to her work station now. She didn't imagine her mom would be too happy with her being back here, but Sierra just couldn't help it. She missed her little sister with one living at home most of the time and the other, her, living at the school.

"Thanks," Sierra said, picking up on her name. It was actually the first thing she'd heard upon entering the room. She spared the Gryffindor a short smile before turning to her mom. "Hello," she said, then she took the spot at her station.

It was potions time. Yeah it was. Yet unfortunately Rich was not in the mood to sit in a class for hours or for how much time it had to take. Lately he just wanted to be with his girlfriend and play Quidditch...maybe a bit of other sports too. But not sitting in a class, no. Meh. Still, he paid extra attention not to have a 'meh' expression on his face as he walked into the classroom as he did not want the Potions Mistress and Head of House see him with a face like that. It could lead to trouble and Rich was not in the mood of dealing with any trouble either.

He did not really pay attention to see who were in the class other than the professor ''Hello, Professor Lafay'' he said with an emotionless tone then attempted to walk away lazily to a nearby desk yet his gray eyes caught the sight of a...baby...making him halt.

*blink*

That really was a baby, right? Yeah, it looked like a baby. Yet what was...she...doing in the classroom? He looked at the professor with questioning eyes. He really hoped she was not going to make them brew something baby related because...well...just have a look at him; did Richard Turner look like he would make a good father? Not at all. So he had no reason to brew anything for babies.

After eyeing the baby a bit, he tried to smile at her a bit then simply turned away and chose a seat to himself. When he got seated, his eyes were still on the baby.

A baby. That was the first thing Alice saw, a baby. The second thing she noticed when she entered the room was that one Slytherin Prefect, the Minister's daughter, planting a smooch on the kid's head. And then she noticed Lafay. Oh. Was this her kid? A kid, in a Potions lab? Was that safe? Lafay was the professor, though, and probably knew best, so if she allowed it, it was okay.

"Professor Lafay. Professor Lafay's kid." The infant was actually didn't look much like the lethal professor. Maybe in looks, yes, but she didn't have that dangerous aura to her like the professor did. That could have possibly been the reason why Alice didn't dislike her immediately. She kept her eyes locked on the baby, though, as she took her seat.

Accidents happened. Lafay surely didn't mean to keep the baby thing in there while class was in progress, yeah?

Alyssa looked away from her amusing view of Professor Lafay's baby when she heard a familiar voice. Smiling she greeted Jory back,"Hey there, Jory." before nodding over to the baby. "Isn't she adorable?" Alyssa smiled whimsically at the baby. "Who would have thought that she almost didn't get born. Precious little thing.' Alyssa thought to herself.

Meh. Potions. Nothing against Professor Lafay mostly because the woman scared Selina to the core, but she did not like this class. She wasn't very good at it and as of last lesson every single one of her peers knew that. It was just that following directions after a while got super boring. But she was working on it, especially now.

In her private practice for the class she had sort of kind of maybe had a MAJOR hiccup. SO NO DISTRACTIONS THIS TIME. The seventh year was going to buckle down and pay extra close attention to every minor detail. That way there was NO way that she could mess up. Right? Wrong. Right.

Walking into the classroom, she made her way over to the Professor's desk and was about to wish her a good morning when she saw a BABY. N'AWWWWW. ICKLE! Like ICKLE ickle. What a cute little ickle baby. Meh meh.

With a big grin on her face, she said in the stupidest baby talk voice that she could muster, "Oh my merlin, who is THIS cutie? Look at you, the baby face. You are so beautiful." And the baby really was. Such a cute little kid.

Releasing just WHO she was talking in front of, she cleared her throat and straightened up, "Right, um, hello Professor. Good morning." Awkward. Right.

Feeling super uncomfortable she scurried to her seat. Awkward. SO awkward.

As Belle made her way to potions, she was getting excited. She was curious about what potion she was going to make. Once she entered the classroom, she saw a child. Hmm....it looked so cute! Belle loved talking to children.

Belle smiled and said, "Good morning professor!" and then she smiled and waved at the child. Belle then took her seat and got out her notebook and quill. Belle was giggling watching the child play.

Eliza was holding her breath as she crossed the threshold of the Potions Lab, in case there was any trace of that horrible noxious potion left, but she felt it slip out of her mouth as she caught sight of an infant in the room. Is that a... she walked closer, past the rows of tables towards the entrance, a baby?

She was making her way towards her usual table, creature of habit and all, and nodded at the professor. "Good day Professor Lafay," she greeted with a smile, though the confusion as to why there was a baby in the room may have been perceivable as well. Why is it on the floor? And why is it banging a cauldron on the tiles? Agh, that noise! She hoped it would stop soon. And then she realized, Oh right, I thought I heard something about Lafay having a baby. Is it a girl? It sort of looked like it, but she didn't really get too close. She wasn't a brown-noser as she expected some of these students were, cooing and fawning all over the poor thing like that. It wasn't that she didn't like babies, she even thought they were cute sometimes, but she didn't really feel that interested in it, her.

Maybe we'll be making a really safe and friendly potion today, she hoped. One that smells nice even? Now she was really letting her optimism get the best of her.

He wasn't late, was he?

After having some meal, Gary quickly ran to the potions classroom and hoping that he wasn't late. Adjusting his tie, he stepped into the class and.. PHEW! Lucky that he wasn't. "Hello, Professor." politely he greeted the Potion Mistress (who also became his Head of House) and noticed that... A baby in the class? Apparently that was her baby. "Your baby is so pretty." he complimented.

So, if there's a baby here, he presumed that:

1. They wouldn't brew another dangerous potion again. Of course, Lafay didn't want to hurt her own baby right?
2. They might brew a potion that related to baby.

Well, dunno if he was right or not. The Head Boy then walked to his most-favorite-seat-ever: at the corner.

The second potion lesson, hopefully no yucky ingredients this go around.

With her school bag slung over her shoulder, Nerida made her way to the Potions classroom. Wondering what they would be in for today, it was always a surprise when it came to Professor Lafay. As she greeted Professor Lafay she gave the Professor a smile, "Hello Professor Lafay" As she turned to go find herself a seat she saw the baby. HOW CUTEEEE!!!!! She walked over to the baby and crouched down, "Your daughter is adorable and cute, Professor! I bet Sierra is loving being an older sister! even though at times its horrible being one, especially all the babysitting when the parents want parents time... "

Realizing she should probably get to her seat, she gave the baby girl a pet on the head, how soft! "How cute!!" Standing up she made her way to her seat, muttering to herself "And then those cute babies become older and they become bossy and annoying!"
